Dear lucas,
Any change to .inf file require from end user to regenerate new catalog files .cat So microsoft operating system will recognize a trusted file to be able to install it. Furthermore in x64 os, if you need to get rid of the warning message you need also to sign with a trusted signature tool like symantec your new generated .cat with your company stamp. I agree it is a heavy processs but mandatory from Mirosoft to ensure right files and system interoperability. I would highly recommend also if you go thru these steps to change the VID and PID to yours instead of the one from STMicro or ask for a PID sublicense from us. By the way. With new win10 no more of all of this stuff. You plug your Device and is automatically installed by native drivers like a mouse or a mass storge key.Cheers, STOne-32
