Posted on July 03, 2018 at 19:46I'm trying to implement the frames queuing mechanism defined in IEEE 802.1Q standard (section 8.6) on my STM32F7 Nucleo board. It's a well-known layer 2 mechanism that takes place at the outbound Ethernet port and allows Ethernet frames to be stacked in queues according to their priority before they are transmitted.
My knowledge in embedded programming is basic so I thought I can start with an existing solution and port it to my project. After three days of continuous searching I couldn't find any implementation of this feature although 802.1Q is a widely used standard in most of Ethernet devices, so I find this weird!
Am I missing something here? do you know where I can find this implementation?
