NFC Tag Detection (ST25R95 Chip) Related

Hello,

I am currently using the ST25R95 chip for NFC tag detection. We are encountering an issue during implementation: when metallic objects like a car smart key's battery holder are near the NFC antenna, the NFC tag cannot be detected.

I would appreciate advice on how to ensure tag detection even in the presence of metallic objects like a battery holder.

Thank you.

Hi,

are you talking about low power card detection or communication?

Putting metallic objects in close proximity to the antenna will cause losses, which affect both operation modes.

You could also take a look at more advanced products like the ST25R3916B (or derivates) or ST25R100 or ST25R200. Those have better performance in the above mentioned operation modes.

Yes, I'm talking about low power card detection.

We have changed our NFC card detection method.
It has been modified to periodically scan nearby cards.

Thank you.
