Hello!
I am attempting to charge a 3.7 V Li-ion battery using the SPV1050 on the STEVAL-ISV019V1 evaluation board, but there is a current coming from the battery into VBATT which ranges from 400 uA to 1 mA.
The current remains even when no load is connected, and when a solar cell is connected to PV+. Additionally, the current remains when the battery is replaced with a 4 V voltage source in series with a 1 kOhm resistor.
After reviewing the datasheet of the SPV1050 and the evaluation board, no components draw anywhere near this current so I suspect that my chip is damaged. However, the control logic and MPPT mechanism works perfectly fine so I am confused.
I'd be very grateful if anyone could help!

Welcome @mgrzybek05, to the community!
I don't have the STEVAL-ISV019V1 in front of me right now, so I can't check, but depending on the battery voltage (keyword: under-voltage protection), it is possible that the integrated pass transistor between STORE and BATT is closed and a small current flows from the battery into the device.
Hope that helps?
