I am trying to create a codeplug for my TYT MD-2017 handheld radio. I have gotten to the point where the radio is listed in Device Manager under "Universal Serial Bus Devices" as "Digital Radio in USB mode" with no error icons.
But when I attempt to have CPS talk to the radio it says it is disconnected. I have been working for several days on this issue with no success. The radio IS in DFU mode and is seen by Device Manager.
I am using GD77 CPS and it's driver. I have used Zadig to load the WinUSB driver. Perhaps I should blow all of the GD77 stuff away and use default MD-2017 radio STM software and driver? If so, is there any installation procedure info for this approach?
Any help appreciated! What additional info is needed?

Welcome @WhiteBeard, to the community!
We are honoured to welcome a distinguished representative of the amateur radio community. It will probably be difficult to help you because this is a system-specific problem and not primarily one that has to do with STMicroelectronics. No one at STMicroelectronics can know what the manufacturer of the radio or its software does with our DFU driver or what they use it for.
I'm afraid only the manufacturer of the radio or its firmware or their internet forum will be able to help you.
I am truly sorry that I cannot provide you with more pleasant news.
