Hi. I want to use VL53L1x time-of-flight sensors in following scenarios:
- detect an empty hand and a hand with an item using gesture detection approach;
- detect the product movement up or down.
Have done several tests to understand the dependence between different parameters: ambient rate, signal rate, amount of effective SPADs and range. Have used different conditions (empty hand, small and huge boxes, office environment light and light from the window and so on), but couldn’t come up with any conclusions.
For movement, I could use ST example for people counting, okay. But cannot find a solution for empty hand detection. Need suggestions on how I can improve object detection and movement (multiple ROI).
