X-NUCLEO-IDB05A1, blue tooth evaluation board use.

I have just received my X-NUCLEO-IDB05A1, blue tooth evaluation board. I have downloaded X-CUBE-BLE1, and following ST APP note AN4642, I have downloaded the BLE Profiles application for Android, and have loaded the “SensorDemo_L476RG.bin? and the “ProfPerip_HeartRate_L476RG.bin? binaries for testing with my Samsung mobile. When I run the BLE Profiles app and scan for devices the app finds a BlueNTG device, and on connecting to this device, its identified as BlueNRG, and I sometimes get a message that profiles are not yet supported, but in all cases I don’t receive any data from the device. Pressing the user button on the Nucleo board has no effect. Has anyone else had the same issues? How do I get data to my phone?

Also none of the stuff documented below from one of the project example readme's works, this is suppose to work as documented?? How is a newbie suppose to get an example working.
