Unable to connect to board using Unico GUI

I have 6 of these dev boards. one of them i bought before the other 5.

for the later one the STEVAL -MKI205V1 dev board I'm trying to test is returning a "ERROR: The adapter board has not been recognized, the WHO_AM_I register value does not match the device selected." do you believe this is just due to the board being on my desk for the past week and somehow being damaged/broken?

for the 5 other boards of the two that I have tested returned the following I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling unico and the required drivers. and attempted to use STM32 CubeProgrammer to update the dev board's firmware through USB but I haven't been able to get it to connect to the boards.

does anyone have a potential fix to these issues?
