With the ST & Freescale alliance and some chips being the same, I wonder if

mpc563mzp66 is one of them? If it is, how would I figure out the ST part name? As far as I know it is not as as easy as just swapping the leading M with an S.

Hello,

unfortunately ST has no mpc563mzp66 equivalent part number since the product is not included in the ones developed in the scope of the alliance.

Anyway you may find an ST product matching your needs by using the product selector in the section Home -> Sense & Power and Automotive Products -> Automotive Microcontrollers ->SPC5 32-bit Automotive MCUs (direct URL

http://www.st.com/web/en/catalog/sense_power/FM2098/SC963

)

Generally speaking it is true that to identify an ST product equivalent to a FSL one, it is not enough to swap M in S: so what we are offering is a cross reference sear engine in the ST WEB pages.

It is the same used to search on the ST WEB (positioned on top right of every ST WEB pages): you have simply to enter the FSL part number, and before starting the search, switch the search option from ''Part Number/ Keyword'' to ''Cross Reference''.

Anyway, in case of doubt, just enter another item in the forum.
