SPC564A datasheet promises compatability.
Does that mean I can swap out SPC563M with SPC564A.
Set target addresses in firmware, build and install, and all runs hunky dory?

Hello Richard ,
I recommend to check in SPC5Studio Tools Suite
to converge from SPC563M to SPC64A
(Set target addresses in firmware, build and install)
I have to take care tour pinmap configuration and the IP Iused
Best Regards

Thank you Erwan.
I am unfamiliar with SPC5Studio Tools Suite, I will have ago.
Datasheet promises "3. Pinout compatible with STMicroelectronics’ SPC563M64 devices." for the LQFP176(3).
"I have to take care tour pinmap configuration and the IP Iused " I must ensure any of the new features will not disturb the pin out assignment for the backwards compatibility.
As an aside odd that; spc564a70l7.pdf, September 2013 Doc ID 18078 Rev 4, is still "This is preliminary information on a new product now in development or undergoing evaluation. Details are subject to change without notice."
And imperial air flow 200ft/min ~ 1m/s I guess if you are a 2nd source that happens. Or more likely strict following of JEDEC JESD51-3 from the late 90s. Lets not miss Mars!
Unless there is more guidance lets close.
