hi,i would like to modify the start_up_demo_launcher.sh script as well as the weston.ini file so that my application is started instead of the STM demo application. i would then like to add these files to my own distribution package so that i can flash the eval board w/ it.can someone tell me where i can find these files in an STM download package so that i can build my own image to flash?thanks, vince

My board with stm32mp157 wakes up from CSTOP with UART wake source, but cannot wakes with RTC or WAKEUP PINs from STANDBY. TF-A outputs strange errors at the end:ERROR: Illegal access to 0xe0000000 in :ERROR: Non-SecureERROR: PrivilegeERROR: ReadAnd nothing goes on until watchdog reset. This lines I see in tzc400 sources. But I don`t know how to interpret this.Could anyone explain what is going wrong when I`m trying wakes from STANDBY?
I'm developing an IoT device for a customer and I have an external Bluetooth SoC connected to the ST's MCU via UART. The BT SoC shares its UART Tx pin with reset functionality so I need to develop a driver to momentarily turn the UART to GPIO mode to reset the device followed by return to UART mode to carry on with the communication. As a first step I'm doing a Proof of Concept -like solution where I use a normal tty driver (usart3) to communicate and a second custom driver to highjack the GPIO peripheral. The issue is that I don't seem to be able to read any values out of the GPIO registers except for 0. Here is the code I'm using for testing the GPIO access:static const uint32_t GPIO_BASE = 0x50003000; static const uint32_t GPIO_LAST = GPIO_BASE + 0x3fc; ssize_t show_debug_attr(struct kobject* kobj, struct kobj_attribute* attr, char* buf) { ssize_t written = 0; uint32_t i; volatile void __iomem* ptr = ioremap_nocache(GPIO_BASE, GPIO_LAST - GPIO_BASE); if (!ptr) { r
HelloI'm going to create and flash my custom board with CubeMx. But I don't know how to modify the dtb file. Can you give me a link or a way to get the right help?
Hi,Is STM32MP1 is able to drive two displays at once , one via DSI and another via RGB is it possible? Following are the combinations :RGB to HDMI ---- to drive HDMI display.DSI to HDMI ----- to drive HDMI display.RGB to LVDS ----- to Drive LVDS display.DSI to LVDS ----- to drive LVDS display.Which of these would be best combination to drive two displays? I want to drive LVDS and one any display via HDMI.
I want to control a GPIO before u-boot, so how to control in TF-A?
We are building a custom embedded system based on STM32MP1 using customised OpenSTLinux. We are currently using the st-image-core as a starting point but we found it already heavy. Is there any option or other images providing a smaller image ?Also how can we merge the output images in a single fs. Currently there is bootfs, rootfs, userfs and vendorfs ?Is there any documentation ressources about this topics ?Thanks in advance
We are using OpenSTLinux to generate a custom image for our custom board. This board has no wifi nor bluetooth so we would like to remove it's support. Our machine conf file is based on stm32mp1-eval.conf with the following edition (commenting wifi and bluetooth and adding MACHINE_FEATURES_remove for wifi and bluetooth)But even with these modification bluez, packagegroup-base-bluetooth, packagegroup-base-wifi and wpa-supplicant are included in our image (accoridng to manifest). How can we remove bluetooth and wifi support ?#MACHINE_FEATURES += "bluetooth" #MACHINE_FEATURES += "wifi" MACHINE_FEATURES_remove = "wifi" MACHINE_FEATURES_remove = "bluetooth" #BLUETOOTH_LIST += "linux-firmware-bluetooth-bcm4343" #WIFI_LIST += "linux-firmware-bcm43430"
Hi,I am trying to develop something around the STM32MP1.For that I have made some changes in the dts file via cubeMx and followed the process of building it given here. What is the location where the dtb file generated ? My arch/arm/boot/dts folder looks empty. Is there something i am missing?executing make dtbs seperately also exits cleanly but does not generated the dtb file.
currently i have a pin <STM32_PINMUX('F', 14, GPIO)> how to mux as a GPIO before using as a gpiolib, export work fine, but i2c4 is not working but i can see GPIO is getting based on sys gpiolib. as before export i see PF14 line is muxed as pin 94 (PF14): input - low - pull upand this line has AF as a i2c4-clk
I am trying to verify my build environment by building the U-boot code samples to be able to run the DDR Tuning tests.First I start CubeMX (using the ubuntu image provided on one of your workshops) and under tools i choose the DDR Test Suite and select a prebuilt "u-boot-spl.stm32-stm32mp157c-dk2-basic" file found in en.FLASH-stm32mp1-openstlinux-5.10-dunfell-mp1-21-03-31.tar_v3.0.0.xz as the DDR utilities binary file. Selecting ttyACM0 for my connection renders a sucessfull connection and enables me to run the ddr tuning tests. Now I need to build my own DDR utilities binary file so I use "en.SOURCES-stm32mp1-openstlinux-5.10-dunfell-mp1-21-03-31.tar_v3.0.0.xz" provided on your site and find the u-boot code in u-boot-stm32mp-2020.10.r1-r0.tar.gz which I extract in place.I initialize my Terminal by going to the folder i intend to build:cd ~/SDK/Developer-Package/stm32mp1-openstlinux-5.10-dunfell-mp1-21-03-31/sources/arm-ostl-linux-gnueabi/u-boot-stm32mp-2020.10.r1-r0/u-boot-stm32mp-202
Hi everyone.I have an already-designed PCB with an STM32MP157 on it. In order to communicate with an external device, I am using USART1. At the same time, I'm using an USB OTG port to connect my device to my PC.My problem is that USART1 is working with pins PA10 (AF7: USART1 RX), PA12 (AF7: USART1 DE) and PB6 (AF7: USART1 TX). It seems that PA10 is also set up as OTG HS pin:usbotg_hs_pins_a: usbotg_hs-0 { pins { pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('A', 10, ANALOG)>; /* OTG_ID */ }; };(in stm32mp157-pinctrl.dtsi).I am not sure at all but I think this pin is not referenced at any device tree file in the whole DTS. However, if I disable usb-otg device, USART1 starts working. But I don't want to do that.So after reading the usb-otg driver documentation I discovered the following parameter:dr_mode: shall be one of "host", "peripheral" and "otg"So I set up my otg as "peripheral" and now my usb otg works when I connect the external device to my USART1. But USART1 still not works. What
I am using STM32MP1 Device in our costume board . In my application I need 3 UARTS out of three UARTS only one is initialized in UBOOT and its working fine , Now i want to initialize the remaining UARTS , Send and receiving the data from remaining UARTS. For this what is procedure to add new UART drivers(We are using the stlinux for the application development).
Hello!I am having an issue installing the developer package SDK where the shell script is not found as well as an 'argument list too long' failure during setup.I am using Ubuntu WSL to execute the script and see the following:Any insight would be greatly appreciated!sudo ./stm32mp1-openstlinux-5.4-dunfell-mp1-20-11-12/sdk/st-image-weston-openstlinux-weston-stm32mp1-x86_64-toolchain-3.1-openstlinux-5.4-dunfell-mp1-20-11-12.sh -d /mnt/c/Users/aortw/Documents/STM32MP15-Ecosystem/Developer-Package/SDK ./stm32mp1-openstlinux-5.4-dunfell-mp1-20-11-12/sdk/st-image-weston-openstlinux-weston-stm32mp1-x86_64-toolchain-3.1-openstlinux-5.4-dunfell-mp1-20-11-12.sh: 29: gcc: not found ST OpenSTLinux - Weston - (A Yocto Project Based Distro) SDK installer version 3.1-openstlinux-5.4-dunfell-mp1-20-11-12 ======================================================================================================================= The directory "/mnt/c/Users/aortw/Documents/STM32MP15-Ecosystem/Developer-Packag
Hello everyone,I've a question. If I'm not confused, STM32MP157F is dual CA7 core. Now, I'm coding a Linux application which I would like to parallelize. How can I do it? Is there any kind of directives such as OpenMP?Thanks,Oscar
Hi,I am trying to interface a rotary encoder to A7 on STM32MP1.I was able to get the CubeMx COnfiguration done and got the device tree file generated. Also looked into this document: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Interrupt_overview#pinctrl_irqchipHowever i could not understand simply how do i detect interrupt has happened and take decision over it? How are interrupt handler for this needs to be written?

I'm trying to rebuild the kernel as described on the wiki page. When I run make, the wiki shows unexplained choices that eventually result in an error. Is there a possible problem?(unexpected) following choices appearBest Regards
We are using Stm32mp157A .We Want to generate Interupts in Core0.For this we are using System timer Generator .We enable STGN and loaded Frequency value(STGN_CNTFID0),STGENC_CNTCV is increamenting . But we are not getting interrupts. We configure GIC registers Also. Please help in this regards.
Hi,A few weeks ago, I created a STM32CubeIDE project for STM32MP157F-DK2 where wrote my CM4 firmware. Everything went well. However, today I decided to make little changes in the code and now there are strange errors when building. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE, I HAVEN'T CHANGED ANYTHING RELATED TO THE NEW ERRORS!In file included from ../Core/Src/main.c:15: ../../Drivers/CMSIS/Include/core_cm4.h:105:8: error: #error "Compiler generates FPU instructions for a device without an FPU (check __FPU_PRESENT)" 105 | #error "Compiler generates FPU instructions for a device without an FPU (check __FPU_PRESENT)" | ^~~~~ In file included from ../Core/Src/main.c:15: ../../Drivers/CMSIS/Include/core_cm4.h:1688:39: error: unknown type name 'IRQn_Type'; did you mean 'ITM_Type'? 1688 | __STATIC_INLINE void __NVIC_EnableIRQ(IRQn_Type IRQn) | ^~~~~~~~~ | ITM_Type ../../Drivers/CMSIS/Include/core_cm4.h:1705:46: error: unknown type name 'IRQn_Type'; did you mean 'ITM_Type'? 1705 | __STATIC_INLINE uint32_t __NV
Hi everyone,I'm using STM32MP157F MPU and I'd like to set the "autosuspend" parameter. It's allocated in /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend and its default value is 2. When I modify its value to 0 and press the reset button, it becomes 2 again. I'm following this post https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/91027/how-to-disable-usb-autosuspend-on-kernel-3-7-10-or-above where users say to use grub, however that tool isn't available in OpenSTLinux.Any ideas about how to keep "autosuspend" parameter modified after rebooting?Thank you, Oscar
When I don't use the .flags, i see the mode created, but my display doesn't work. I changed the ltdc register (GCR) manually to set DE and it works. When i add the .flags, no mode is created (i checked with modetest -M stm). Since i understood that this is part of a ST patch, can you please check the behaviour? Thanks
I am looking for STM32MP157A-DK1 and STM32MP157A-DK2 Why thouse boards is not recommended for new design? Which developer board you can recommend?@PatrickF @Community member @SEam72
I am running Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Version 2021-06. I am using multiple stm32mp157x-DK2, When they are running kernel 5.4.x I have no problems connecting to them form Eclipse IDE via ssh, if I update them to 5.10.10, suddenly I get "Algorithm negotiation fail". If I revert the kernel back to 5.4.x, everything works fine again. If i just try to ssh from linux host terminal i have no issues, but the Eclipse IDE seems to have this problem occurring with new 5.10.10 ST kernel. Has anybody have encountered similar problem? Any ides how to solve it?
