Hello,I am currently using Linux kernel version v5.15-stm32mp-r2.tar.gz and U-Boot version v2021.10-stm32mp-r2.tar.gz for my project based on the STM32MP family. I have recently upgraded the Linux kernel to linux-5.15-stm32mp-r2.2.However, I am unsure which U-Boot version is compatible with linux-5.15-stm32mp-r2.2. I tried using U-Boot version v2022.10-stm32mp-r2 with this kernel, but encountered the following error during compilation: Error: arch/arm/dts/.stm32mp157c-ccb-mx.dtb.pre.tmp:1478.1-6 Label or path sram not found FATAL ERROR: Syntax error parsing input tree Check /home/vivekb/workspace/source/NGACEM-269/SSB-buildroot/output/build/uboot-custom/arch/arm/dts/.stm32mp157c-ccb-mx.dtb.pre.tmp for errors make[4]: *** [scripts/Makefile.lib:336: arch/arm/dts/stm32mp157c-ccb-mx.dtb] Error 1 make[3]: *** [dts/Makefile:44: arch-dtbs] Error 2 make[2]: *** [Makefile:1173: dts/dt.dtb] Error 2 make[1]: *** [package/pkg-generic.mk:293: /home/vivekb/workspace/source/NGACEM-269/SSB-buildr
I'm encountering difficulties while attempting to connect and debug my STM32 microcontroller, and I'm seeking guidance from the community. I have erased the full chip flash memory and uploaded my code but suddenly I start getting these error messages,Error Messages:1. In ST-Link Utility:Can not connect to target! If you're trying to connect to an STM32W1xx device, please select Normal or HotPlug mode from Target->Settings menu.If you're trying to connect to a low-frequency application, please select a lower SWD Frequency mode from Target->Settings menu.
I want to know why I downloaded the latest JAVA, but I can't install STM32CubeProgrammer.*This post has been translated from Chinese to comply with the ST Community guidelines.
I'm using en.stm32cubemp2-v1-1-0.zip plus patch file en.stm32cubemp2-v1-1-1.zip I'm trying to build CM0PLUS_DEMO for STM32MP257x-EV1 for the cortex-M0 core.I got planty of errors when trying to build it with STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.17.0 Build: 23558_20241125_2245 (UTC):Failed to generate command line.reason: Unknown target. I'm reviewing the 'How to use the Cortex-M0+' document for any advise on how to build the example but it does not give any expecial advise so I assume I have to use CubeIDE:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_use_the_Cortex-M0%2B#Memories_RIF_configuration_exampleOther examples for the Cortex-M33 build correctly. Thanks in advance, Hector.
Hi,I try to use libpq library to connect postgresql from STM32MP157. It works on my computer. When I want to implement it to the board it doesn't work. I include path with .h but if I link libraries path I have that error. What I should do. Thanks in advance
Hi everyone,The stm32mp1 use SDMMC2 as default emmc controller. Now, I need use SDMMC1 to connect emmc flash. And I saw the OTP need changed. Bud I am confuse about IOs of SDMMC1. Does it also need setting some OTP bits to pinmux CK, CMD, D0?This picture show need change bit to chose SDMMC1.This picture is confused me. When I use SDMMC1, is it need configure CMD, CK,D0 to default pinmux on SDMMC1? If it is needed, where to configure those?
Hi Guys,Please I facing problem to have a QT application fitting the DSI screen,it sounds like it is 400x240 and not 800x480. I`m probably missing something on QTor on the STM32MP157C-DK2.Can someone please help-me to correct the resolution and how to use it landscape ?Thanks [ ]
Hey there,I'm trying to boot my custom stm32mp153c board using the new Scarthgap version of the meta-st-stm32mp layer. I had it working with the previous combination of optee 3.19 / kernel 6.1 (See this post). Ater some adaptation of device trees and my layer I've got OPTEE booting and loading the kernel, but unfortunately it stops right at the kernel loading. Any ideas what I might be missing or how to debug it further? Why stm32mp157c-dk2-extlinux.conf is called?2. Why load stm32mp157c-dk2.dtb? there's not FDT setting in default LABEL I can do with just change conf file in 157c-dk2 for nowBut i want to know how to select conf file Thank you
HelloI tried everything but I cannot get STM32CubeIDE to get the editor to work.I just keep on getting this message: There is no active editor that provides an outline.I spent hours re-installing but nothing workedAll help will be appreciated
Hello,I am trying to compile the Openst Linux for my custom board. I did it succeed in the Kirskstone distro which is based on tf-a. Now I try compiling the latest Openstlinux (6.0, scarthgap) with the optee-os but encounter a problem with the file generation. The problem I have is as followsWARNING: st-image-weston-1.0-r0 do_image_complete: Missing 'EULA_FILE_ST' var : no image license copied... Hello, my aim is to achieve a reliable receiving UDP speed with stm32mp13 while sending a payload of 150 mbit/s.I did performance tests of 1 gigabit Ethernet using a MYD-YF13X development board and iperf3. Here are some of my results:19% packet drop rate at 150 mbit/s is, for my purpose, unacceptable. I think the problem is related to either the MPU or the YT8521SH Ethernet PHY.But I doubt it is the second one, so I would focus on the MPU itself. It seems to me that the MPU is not fast enough to achieve a sensible >100 mbit/s receiving speed. The architecture is arm 32bit, which has 32KB cache memory inclusive. The amount of cache is decisive for receiving huge payloads. Could it be the reason for such a performance? What was the reason to put 100 mbit PHYs and not 1 gbit into the STM32MP135F-DK? Best,J. Schneider
Hi,I have STM32MP157f-DK2 . I built openstlinux-5.15-yocto-kirkstone-mp1-v22.07.27 , distro=openstlinux-eglfs , and I try flash image to sd card.When I am flashing "FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157f-dk2-trusted.tsv" I have different errors related with partitioning ..., but when I am flashing "FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157c-dk2-trusted.tsv", the board works....What can be wrong ?
Hello,I am trying the open-st-linux-eglfs distribution with my QT application. When QT load my QML I am facing with this error : module "QtQuick.Controls" is not installedHow can I verify the installation of qtquick control in my distribution ?
I've followed the READMEs for the installation of the dev package, source, and kernel and generated a build folder for the kernel as suggested at ~/st/stm32mp2-openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v24.11.06/sdk/Developer-Package/stm32mp2-openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v24.11.06/sources/aarch64-ostl-linux/linux-stm32mp-6.6.48-stm32mp-r1-r0/build In the build folder I see folders include, scripts, a link to source as well as files Makefile, .config .config.old, and .gitignore. When I run make ${IMAGE_KERNEL} vmlinux dtbs LOADADDR=0xC2000040 O="${OUTPUT_BUILD_DIR}" I get make[1]: *** No rule to make target 'Image.gz'. Stop.make: *** [/home/lelory/st/stm32mp2-openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v24.11.06/sdk/Developer-Package/stm32mp2-openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v24.11.06/sources/aarch64-ostl-linux/linux-stm32mp-6.6.48-stm32mp-r1-r0/linux-6.6.48/Makefile:234: __sub-make] Error 2 What am I doing wrong?

Hello, I am looking for a MPU as CAN FD master but couldn't find the type with explicit CAN FD support. I would inquire here to make sure I haven't missed any details, and also ask for more information about the availability of the high performance chip with CAN FD interface. Thank you!
I try to build a rpmsg sample app by following this instruction : https://docs.zephyrproject.org/latest/samples/subsys/ipc/rpmsg_service/README.htmlThe example repository here: https://github.com/zephyrproject-rtos/zephyr/tree/main/samples/subsys/ipc/rpmsg_serviceIt seems that the device tree overlay is missing for STM32MP157F-DK2, so I create one/ { chosen { /* * shared memory reserved for the inter-processor communication */ zephyr,ipc_shm = &mcuram2; zephyr, ipc = &mailbox; }; mcuram2: mcuram2@10000000 { compatible = "mmio-sram"; reg = <0x10000000 0x40000>; };It is not working, please advice if the device tree is correct or not? and Is there any relation with Linux device tree? thanks
Hi,When testing the stm32mp2-openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v24.12.05 image, the LVDS screen doesn't work and blocks the board's startup (in u-boot) and I can't reset the board unless I disconnect the LVDS port.On the other hand, the HDMI is functional, and the screen works without any problem on my STM32MP257F-EV1 board.Note that the board is powered via a USB port capable of delivering up to 1.5A.Thank you
Hello,I am encountering an issue while building a Yocto-based image for the STM32MP157F-DK2. The problem arises when attempting to fetch the gcnano-userland-multi-binary-stm32mp package. Below are the details of the issue: Project DetailsYocto Version: Dunfell (OpenSTLinux 5.10-dunfell-mp1-23-11-01)Target Machine: STM32MP157F-DK2Recipe Name: gcnano-userland-multi-binary-stm32mpSoftware Version: gcnano 6.4.3Issue DescriptionThe fetch operation fails due to a missing source file. Hi all, Does anybody knows why there is no stm32mp157f-dk2 device tree for https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/u-boot/tree/v2025.01-rc4? make ARCH=arm stm32mp15_defconfig make DEVICE_TREE=stm32mp157f-dk2 Following commands work with stm32mp157c-dk2 but thats not the board I am using Regards
Hi there,The commit in question is rather huge and the general complaint is that commit message says nothing about the changes:commit fd1832de6fb8c184904b64b6bb2e7df58d78d8f1Author: Christophe Priouzeau <christophe.priouzeau@foss.st.com>Date: Thu Oct 31 15:03:41 2024 +0100U-BOOT: v2023.10-stm32mp-r1Change-Id: Ic24598b586631a0a3f7dae9b54b513ff87ad461aSigned-off-by: Christophe Priouzeau <christophe.priouzeau@foss.st.com>But only this particular snippet causes problems:+# do not populate image directory during install+do_install[noexec] = "1"Why was the assumption that it shouldn't be executed? In my case I use the default environment, which is supposed to be installed by the do_install task.
I try to study embedded linux with stm32mp157f-dk2 boardI got download my image on my board and make dts from stm32cubeide's default board settingAnd i compile that in my source's dts folder modified Make file and checked dtb output with decompileIt works with added pwm from cubemx but not working touchSo CONFIG_TOUCHSCREEN_EDT_FT5X06 is being yes in my .configAnd it works in default starter pacakge's dtb but I changed just dtb with my pwm addedso if i echo 0-0038 bind to edt-ft5x06 with my pwm dtb, it works butI wonder why this builtin module not work with rebootThanks
