I connected my STM32MP1 via Ethernet to my network and was surprised that I could ssh root@192.168.x.ywithout a password. No password for root is a security risk. I immediately changed the root password to secure the device. Beware!-- John

I'm able to download an image onto STM32MP157C-DK2 according to the wiki. The Cube Programmer indicates success. When I flip the boot switches to ON and reboot, DL8 lights after a few seconds but nothing on the screen. During flashing the LCD does display information.  Thanks in advance.

UART7 is not working when configured with same pin numbers as given in the STMCubeMX code.When connected as per schematic pin config, it is working.(Corresponding code also changed)So why is this happening like this? Please help.

Hi, I test the record voice on dk2 board. Using below command to recorded. After recorded, I use aplay to play that file. The sounds volume very low. I had setting some volume through alsamixer command.arecord -f cd -c 2 test.wavDoes it working correct?

I am not using Linux.Is the peripheral set used on the STM32MP1 brand new or imported from another STM32 Family?Tom

Hello,I am building the firmware on the M4 core. I have allready modified the 'demo_launcher.py' script to launch my code via the GUI (for demonstration purposes). As the Linux application will be built by somebody else, i only need to do the M4 firmware and use simple script to send and receive messages. I see a lot of info about on the Wiki about the protocol, but my knowledge of Linux is not that great to code this from scratch.Is there a basic example script that i can use and modify for my purpose ? Hi, my custom board has OTG interface. So I reference the dk2 board to configure usbotg_hs as otg mode. But now, the otg interface only recognise on system starting up. It's can not recoginse the hotplug devices. Below is my dts code. It seems parallel RGB on the MP151 is supported on the TFBGA361 and 448 package.  Is there any manufacturer of SOM modules (preferably DIMM socket based) with a parallel RGB header ?

We are building a customized board with processor STM32MP157AAD3 and DDR3 of 1GB. I am able to download the source for STM32MP157 from the STM website, and I am not sure with what DDR configuration it has been done.So how to set ddr configuration of 1 GB in the BSP ?Regards, Nitish

STM32MP157 has a M4 core, so I am asking questions here in MCU section although the chip is belong to MPU. What I am trying to do is using M4's SPI4 to receive data at throughput of 20.6Mbits/sec, basically each SPI transition has 10.5KB block data, and each second, there are 240 transactions. Currently I am using two STM32MP157-DK2 boards and running the modified M4 core example code of SPI DMA demo. The readme.txt file from the demo has attached. what I found out is, when SPI master side clock set to be 32MHz (hspi4.Init.BaudRatePrescaler = SPI_BAUDRATEPRESCALER_2), the slave side code crash, but it runs ok at 16MHz ((hspi4.Init.BaudRatePrescaler = SPI_BAUDRATEPRESCALER_4). With logic analyzer, I can see the slave side works for a while, and then MISO became all 0, and from LED flashing pattern I would see that slave side's callback of SPI transaction is not triggered anymore. Unfortunately at this moment, I haven't figure out what's proper setup for STLink to work with this board, s

 I've been using some of the routines (numerical integration of ODEs using B-S routine with polynomial extrapolation) for years on Microsoft C++, with great success. However, when I even include the nr.h file, I get errors saying that "template" is an unknown type. Suggestions?

Forgive my ignorance, but could anyone recommend an IDE which can interface with STM32MP157C-DK2 and allow to write, compile, upload and debug both Linux application code and M4 code on the chip? Something which does not cost around $500 per month would be awesome. Thanks a lot for your input!

Hi, I use two touch panels, one is ft5306 and another is tsc2007. These are under same i2c bus, the i2c2 controller.The ft5306 use PG8 as interrupt line. The tsc2007 use PI8 as interrupt ine. HI, I needs use timers2 to enable the pwm function. Then it will used as pwm-backlight for LCD. I wasn't known how to write the dts file. Could you show me some example code on this function?
