Hi,I would like to develop IoT solutions around STM32MP157C-DK2. What is the normal process to launch STM32MP157C based customized board as a IoT gateway. Do we need to go through any certifications? Thanks,Naveen
I'm trying to boot my original board which STM32MP151CAA3 MPU is mounted on with original device tree. However, cannot boot the board when following steps.--Environment-- Host PC: Intel Core i7 3.6GHz / Ubuntu Ver16.04.6 LTS STM32CubeMX: Version 5.6.0 OpenSTLinux: openstlinux-4.19-thud-mp1-20-02-19--Steps--1) Generate device tree sources by STM32CubeMX (See the attachment file "PortMap.ioc")2) Fill the User Section according to my board hardware. (See the attachment files "Device tree file modified in user section for original board" in comparison to "Device tree original file from CubeMX")3) Compile the device tree with Developer Package, and Get "kernel DTB", "u-boot.stm32" and "TF-A.stm32" files. hello alli have a STM32MP157C-EV1, and I want to build an m4 core development and debugging environment in minimal "st-image-core".M4 firmware created using "STM32CudeIDE" can be debugged in "st-image-weston", but an error occurs in "st-image-core".What items should be added to "st-image-core.bb" to work normally?error message :[ 100.552483] remoteproc remoteproc0: powering up m4[ 100.555897] remoteproc remoteproc0: Direct firmware load for OpenAMP_TTY_echo_CM4.elf failed with error -2[ 100.571270] remoteproc remoteproc0: request_firmware failed: -2[ 100.575829] remoteproc remoteproc0: Boot failed: -2I will wait for your reply.
I am confused by the different packages ,Starter, Distribution and Developer.Which one do I need to install/setup/build to have as the end result a "minimal" cli/shell based SD card image with support for all hardware on the DK2 board ? a "clean" rootfs with no examples, no Wayland/X11 .. just command line and all drivers for the board installed ?
Hi!I am trying to compile a project from several files in Eclipse.Function print_hello() defined in another file N222.Resulting error: undefined reference to `print_hello 'What am I doing wrong? regards Alexander

I downloaded, installed and configured Eclipse, Version: 2020-03 (4.15.0), UBUNTU 16.04 LTSWrote a simple program:#include <stdio.h>#include <stdlib.h>int main(void){ printf( "Hello world\n" ); return 1;}compiles without errors :)But, when I run on the board, it gives an error:Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-lookup.c: 948: _dl_setup_hash: Assertion `(bitmask_nwords & (bitmask_nwords - 1)) == 0' failed!if I compile this program, as shown in the example in the Wiki "Create a simple hello-world application", then everything works fine.i think something with eclipse settings.Did anyone have this?Sincerely, Alexander
Does anyone have some real data on speed difference between 8 or 16 bit Nand flash (with the bootloader and the kernel) on the STM32MP157 ?at bootduring normal operation
Hi all,The default network setup on the "st-image-core" image is to use IP V6 alone it seems which does not work for me.How to set this for v4 default for all interfaces ?
Hello,I am looking for the appropriate kernel configuration options for the audio controller in the STM32MP157, and the specific driver setup details for the audio codec on the DK2 board. I am Using Buildroot to build the system image.

Hello All,I make an introduction, it is my first experience in the stm32 world, but I've been working with Linux embedded, MPUs MCUs etc.. for several years. In this days I'm starting to understand and try the M4 core in DK2 evk, following the wiki i'm able to use it. Now I would like to create a new project from zero, but I have a small problem. If I start new project in CubeMX, I can enable freertos but if I try to generete code i have the follow alert:Ok, i can try to change the TIMEBASE Source but is not possible (seems in use):Can someone help me?Best regards to allLuigi

Hi, I use display function on my custom boards. The board A use HDMI, RGB LCD and MIPI. The board B use RGB LCD and MIPI.Now the board B has some issue on MIPI display function. The board A configltdc endpoint reg = <0> for HDMI, workltdc endpoint reg = <1> for RGB LCD or MIPI, workbut not work when setting reg = <2> for MIPI.The board B configltdc endpoint reg = <0> for RGB LCD, workltdc endpoint reg = <1> for MIPI, not workwhen swap this reg number , the RGB LCD and MIPI are works.Does the MIPI need specific reg number or not? How I correctly configure it when using these display function in difference situation?
I designed a board based on the schematic of dk1, but I2C failed on HDMI output
Hi all, I use PZ7 and PZ6 configure for usart1. But it show some error log.[ 1.633566] stm32mp157-pinctrl soc:pin-controller@50002000: invalid function. [ 1.640375] stm32-usart: probe of 5c000000.serial failed with error -22It's right when II try to use another pins . Did you also had this issue?
I have a STM32MP157A-DK1 board. I can't connect to it via ST-Link Utility. It says the target is not detected. Although if I select "Firmware Update" from ST-LINK menu, it updates the firmware of the board (the red-green led blinks etc). But can't connect otherwise.I tried moving the BOOT0 and BOOT2 pins on-off in every combination, tried inserting and removing the SD Card, plugging and unplugging the USB-C power cable. I have installed all ST-Link drivers and reinstalled them, etc, etc... I even tried all the possible options at the target settings screen, but to no avail. Can anyone offer me a solution?
Hi,I have to change the CPOL and CPHA of SPI, because I'm communicating with different SPI-Devices. This worked fine on a Nucleo-Board with a Cortex M7.On the Cortex M4 of the STM32MP157-DK2 it ends up in HAL-Timeout :(After some time I found a solution.I added this in front of the code changing the SPI-settings:HAL_SPI_DeInit(&hspi5); HAL_SPI_Init(&hspi5); /** code to change settings of CPOL und CPHA **/Now it works perfectly fine :)My question is now: why?regards Lukas
I need to build a system for nandflash, unfortunately something went wrong, and I don't know how to fix it

Hello,I'm trying to connect stm32mp157c-dk2 board with another device over FDCAN in engineering mode (MCU single core) using CN2 pin 3 and 5 (stm32 PA12 and PA11 pins respectively). Though I can initialize and request to use FDCAN1 from resource manager utility without any error, FDCAN related interrupts still don't get fired. Do I need to assign RX/TX pins to M4 FDCAN1 in tf-a, u-boot or kernel device trees.

I'm writing an Yocto recipe to integrate Kivy (kivy.org) into the st-image-weston image for STM32MP157C-DK2. Main questions:1) Is there recommended GUI framework for openSTLinux, beside QT (license issues).2) Did someone ever add Kivy successfully to openSTLinux? 3) Has someone solutions for my isuse (below)? What I did so far for Kivy:- Using Kivy source from https://pypi.org/project/Kivy- Write recipe (see below) for two versions of Kivy Results: -- for version 1.11.1 --> many issues of dependencies (gstreamer, sdl2, ..) -- for version 1.10.1 --> Seems better as it has less dependencies. But Cython is missing, even though it has been added to st-image-weston.bbpython3-kivy_1.10.1.bb:SUMMARY = "kivy for Python" LICENSE = "MIT" PYPI_PACKAGE = "Kivy" # version 1.11.1 #LIC_FILES_CHKSUM = "file://LICENSE;md5=d273d63619c9aeaf15cdaf76422c4f87" #SRC_URI[md5sum] = "638c6ca80dd079e2576b4acc56597669" #SRC_URI[sha256sum] = "4d0e596f74271e901b551f77661dde238df4765484f
