Hello!I make my M4 chip communicate with the A7 with openAMP from the example code.I send the data from M4 and currently A7 doesn't do anything.code is like belowchar buffer[512];//in the 1ms interruptif(currentPosition < 512){currentPosition = sprintf(buffer+currentPosition, %s, "someData");SendDataFlag = true;}//in the code for handle openAMP communicationif(SendDataFlag){VIRT_UART_Transmit(&huart0, buffer, currentPosition);currentPosition = 0; SendDataFlag = false;}In debugger, the currentPosition changes a lot when I didn't receive the data from A7 at all.what is happening to Transmit function in this scenario? My assumption is , VIRT_UART_Transmit send data to M4 buffer and replace the data to new one after it reached buffer's limit.please clarify this because, I don't want the buffer cause any problems.thanks!
Hi there, I am working on a custom board based on OSD32MP157F. The pinout is very similar to the stm32mp157f-dk2 with the main difference that the Murata LBEE5kL1BX-883 is connected to sdmmc3 instead of sdmmc2 and that there is no ethernet peripheral on the board. I used the stm32mp157f-dk2.dts as a starting point and modified the pinctl to match the pinout of the board. The image is made with buildroot. I configured the sdmmc3 according to this and this guides. Although all tested peripherals work as intended, including an eMMC connected to sdmmc2 the wifi module is not responsive and returns a firmware load error on the bootlog 1.933870] brcmfmac: brcmf_fw_alloc_request: using brcm/brcmfmac43430-sdio for chip BCM43430/1 [ 1.942625] brcmfmac mmc0:0001:1: Direct firmware load for brcm/brcmfmac43430-sdio.st,stm32mp157f-dk2.bin fa2 [ 1.942926] cfg80211: Loading compiled-in X.509 certificates for regulatory database [ 1.953593] brcmfmac mmc0:0001:1: Direct firmware load for brcm/brcmfmac4
Hi, many thanks for your assistance!I am using a custom STM32MP157C board, and the problem I am facing is that during the debugging of the CM4 core application, I am unable to automatically transfer the elf file to the destination directory. To actually debug, I have to manually transfer the elf file using the console and scp, manually start the program from the remote device, then I can attach to the remote debugger with file download set to false. This is the error message I get when I try to launch the debugger with the file download enabled: Error in final launch sequence: Failed pre launch Failed pre launch Transfer has failed, please: 1. check your physical connection 2. make sure that your target is still running Linux 3. check your proxy bypass setup inside Network Connections Preferences 4. make sure that your target has enough storage space 5. make sure that remote directory has valid access rights > you can open a Console View for this... Hi All,In my currently yocto image I want to customize a LCD TFT RGB 7" 1024x600 24bpp display. At the moment, I have a dts patch file where there are all image customizations. In this file the currently display settings (LCD TFT RGB 7" 800x480) are the following panel_rgb: panel-rgb { compatible = "ampire,am800480r3tmqwa1h"; status = "okay"; power-supply = <&lcd_3v3>; //backlight = <&panel_backlight>; bits-per-pixel = <16>; bus-width = <18>; //data-shift = <0>; &nbs

Hello all. I would like clarification about the structure of a patch file made with the "git diff" command. First question. Are the SHA (Secure Hash Algorithm) codes contained in the file patch important? Let me explain better. Once the patch file is made, if I edit it with a text editor by adding or removing parts, the SHA codes not match with the new file content, is it right? Under these conditions, does the patch file still work correctly? Second question. To make the patch file "my_file.patch" between two files "my_file1.txt" and "my_file2.txt" I use the command git diff --no-index my_file1.txt my_file2.txt > ./my_file.patch Let suppose now to have six files named "my_file1.txt", "my_file2.txt", "my_file3.txt", "my_file4.txt", "my_file5.txt" and "my_file6.txt". What is the way to create ONE ONLY patch file that compare and patches the couples my_file1.txt/my_file2.txt, my_file3.txt/my_file4.txt and my_file5.txt/my_file6.txt?Many thanksRegards

Hello, I am new to yocto project, I am trying to build a yocto project based on the stm32mp1(a development board from a vendor based in Germany). I am building core-image-full-cmdline. Hi,I have a relatively easy question for the OpenStLinux I guess.I have a correctly prepared sdk image with QT (bitbake -k st-example-image-qt and bitbake -k st-example-image-qt -c populate_sdk) but can't correctly configure weston. I have a similar configuration to the official STM32MP135DK2 with a slight difference, 24 RGB interface. My display working correctly, I can see wallpaper and play mp4, so the driver and system are configured correctly. When I try to execute my application I get something like QStandardPaths: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set, defaulting to '/tmp/runtime-root' [ 1] Failed to open device: No such file or directory, Try again... Hi ~I'm using STM32MP157C MPU with my custom board and trying to modify u-boot for my board. https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_cross-compile_with_the_Distribution_Package#Modifying_the_U-BootThis wiki article has been describe about "Modifying the U-boot".Adding simple log like the example works fine. But, If I try to change u-boot prompt string using "make menuconfig"it seems like that changed prompt string didn't apply. How to solve it?Thanks.
I have added all required dependencies that I am able to detect the module and allocate with udev rules as modem_1..4 . I have also added ppp feature, but despite that when i dial, it shows some error as indiscipline and here is a log from /var/log/syslogHow do i fix this ?
Hi,I'm looking into creating sound cards with STM32MP135F-DK discovery board, and it seems that all the tutorials point to editing the /core/arch/arm/dts/stm32mp135f-dk.dts so that it takes the new sound card into account. Previously I had a chance to work with Raspberry Pi and there it's not uncommon to have multiple .dts files handling different things. Is it possible to define a sound card in a separate file from the main board.dts also on the stm32 MPUs, or is it really a necessity to append to the the main file? If so, how?
I was trying to use the GPIO expension connector on the STM32MP15 Discovery Kit MB1272 and the clock wasn't working on SPI5. When I checked the CubeMX configuration against the schematic for the discovery kit, I leaned that the clock signal is going to the Arduino connector instead of the GPIO expansion. The schematic insinuates that PF7 is SPI5_SCK, when it is actually PH6. Is this a known issue?

We are trying to get CAN communication working on a STM32MP157D-DK1 using an RS485 CAN hat that is used for Rasberry PI. Is this possible and if so can you direct me to instructions? We are using Yocto to build the Linux distro. We are currently unable to see CAN0 at all.
Hi everyone, I want to use other LCD-TFT screen with the STM32MP15X-EVAL board but there is something strange with this connector. There are two duplicated pins, R5 and R7 , but looking for on the board documentation, I can't find anything related with this. What is these pins function? Thanks in advice.
We have built a SOM based on STM32MP157 which has eMMC. There were few configuration files which we installed manually. Now, I want a copy of this final working image so that i can duplicate the same image in other emmc too. Please let me know if are there any methods to do so.
