I was using B-L072Z-LRWAN1 in a project and found out that I needed a very higher transmission rate than LoRa. I am asking if you can suggest me a board that is capable of data transfer rate of 2 Mbps with a duty cycle of 0.2ms. The data size is 30 Bytes and the distance between transmitter and receiver is around 10 meters. Can anyone suggest a suitable board?
I want to develop my custom bluetooth stack in the stm32wb55 using the rust programming language. Does the st platform allows you to do so? I'm new to the wb wireless microcontroller series and I don't have clear if st allows you to use your own stack and if the stack is included as a binary or it is open source
For STM32WLE5JCI6TR, is there register on LoRa receiver node to show quality of received signal in1. Slow (for time frame of packet) frequency difference between transmitter and receiver TCXO.2. Fast frequency difference jitter that are at, says, symbol rate. That is, frequency go up and down quickly during packet time3. Signal degradation due to transmission path. For tradation mode, non RoLa, this is the eye diagram that show how much margin the receiver can decode the signal, decision point. This shows signal arriving a bit early or late, due to multiple transmission paths over the air.4. The chip is DSP inside, right? There are quite many signal registers for other chips.5. What is the part number of SemTech chip that is inside the STM chip?Yes, rssi and snr are on several registers.Best regards
That's the question. See https://github.com/Lora-net/SWL2001 for the upstream code; apparently development of the Semtech LoRaWAN stack has stopped in favor of this more feature-rich LoRaWAN stack.
Hello, I am using the dma to receive data into the uart using the functions: HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA(&huart2, UART_p.UART_Data, UART_DATA_LENGTH)); with UART_DATA_LENGTH = 200. void HAL_UARTEx_RxEventCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart, uint16_t Size); DMA is configured in normal mode.Everything works fine with frames < 100 characters but if I receive a frame > 100 characters thenthe Size variable is equal to 100 while I have 130 characters. This then poses a problem for me when processing this frame in JSON.Strange thing UART_Data is cut in two when I view it in debug mode. Thanks for your help.
We are using LORAWAN with STM WL series Microcontroller. For that we have used predefined method of getting readily code of both the functionality.I have shared that link below.https://docs.rakwireless.com/Product-Categories/WisDuo/RAK3172-Module/Low-Level-Development/#rak3172-on-stm32cubeide-with-stm32wl-sdk-v1-2-0After using above document we are able to get code with 0 errors and 0 warnings. But when we open .ioc file and update something. It will change so many files and due to that we are not able to build the code succefully. Any one have solution regarding the same? How can I easily integrate any module (Like ADC, Timer, etc)RegardsManan
As screen output from STM32CubeIDE version 1.16.0, is this latest chip version of STM32WLE5JCI6TR?Please point to web links on datasheet and errata (workaround and chip deviation from datasheet error). Best regards
HiI am having trouble doing anything useful with the STM32WB5MMG discovery board using version 1.16.0 (Windows) of STM32CubeIDE. I started off with a new application based on the this above board and I don't see anything useful related to the devices that on the board such as the RGB LED, TOF sensor etc? If I created a template APP for this board, surely it should all be configured already?Other things don't seem to be correct either such as I2C3 which I believe is the main bus used for some of the external devices such as the accelerometer etc doesn't seem to be enabled when I run up the .ioc file and look at the configuration. Also here (in what was cubemx) I can see some other potential useful extra software components (which I guess have come from the SDK specific to this board) such as TOF and DISPLAY. The TOF component I can add but I'm not sure whether it is working because I haven't been able to verify any debug output. There is a virtual COM port on my PC but I don't see
How can I make sure that the the router and server should work in a pair with no cross connection. Now I know both of these work as I can see on ST toolbox but how can I check if the are connected among them selves . I earlier modified an example to trigger data transmission using push button . I am able to understand the server but I have no idea what and how can I deal with router. I need this router to accept data from Server . add some more data to it and then share it to my phone. I am currently using two stm 32wb5mm DK one as a server and other as a router.
Hi, We have been using the STM32WLE5CB for a while now, using the older die revision Z. Since we have a new batch with the new revision Y die of the STM32WLE5x we couldn't get our firmware working anymore. To try make it work we have tried to use the example LoRaWAN endnode and couldn't get it working on this revision. It seems to get stuck in initializing the RTC Alarm in the MX_NVIC_Init()HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(RTC_Alarm_IRQn); Where it finally crashes in the core_cm4.h /** \brief Get Interrupt Enable status \details Returns a device specific interrupt enable status from the NVIC interrupt controller. \param [in] IRQn Device specific interrupt number. \return 0 Interrupt is not enabled. \return 1 Interrupt is enabled. \note IRQn must not be negative. */ __STATIC_INLINE uint32_t __NVIC_GetEnableIRQ(IRQn_Type IRQn) { if ((int32_t)(IRQn) >= 0) { return((uint32_t)(((NVIC->ISER[(((uint32_t)IRQn) >> 5UL)] & (1UL << (((uint32_t)IRQn) &
I am trying to develop a product using the STM32WB5MMG.In the schematic of STM32WB5MMG, the pins PC5, PB10 and PB11 are connected to GND via 3.3pF (C7, C8, C9).Why are these pins connected to GND via 3.3pF (C7, C8, C9)?Does this mean that PC5, PB10 and PB11 cannot be used as IO pins?I want to assign PC5, PB10, and PB11 to remote control keys.
Hello All; I would like to know about mesh network with STM32wb. Now I know about relay node, friend node, low power node, proxy node but I don't know about provisioner node. I can't make my project with example in firmware 1.10.0. It's unsuccessful. Could you please advice me? regard.
Hello,For those who saw my post about SD card and FileX, I am still on that subject and encountered an issue about SPI with the STM32WBA52CG MCU.A Cube project is available attached to this post as a simplified example of SPI communication. While using SPI1, the clock signal outside communications is at 1.2V instead of th precedent state 0 (0V) or 1 (3.3.V)as shown in those oscilloscope screenshots: While using SPI3 as I thought it might not show that behavior, another strange behavior appeared, this time on the MOSI signal with a constant voltage when outside com. at 1.9V: I suspect this behavior to be at least partly responsible for my failure at communicating with an SD Card. (btw if you have some hints on that part I would be grateful :) )Is this related and is the cause of my lack of com. in my SD card/FileX project, does it have an impact on communication, and is it simply a bug or am I responsible for something?I tried this with two NUCLEO-STM32WBA52CG
Hello,In our sensor node project, we are using STM32WL5MOCH6 as a LoRa module. We shall drive the module with a host MCU which is STM32U5. Could you please validate the schematic?Schematics are attached.Best regards,Egemen Aksoy
I want to configure a stm32wb55rg as BLE gateway and ESP32 as BLE node such that ESP32 can send data sensor. The data also needs to be sent to UART or Mobile Phone. Can anyone suggest me a MOOC or may be a document that can be used as a manual to perform this task.
Hello, basically the title. What are the minimal configurations that need to be made in order for a STM device to show up into an iOS device's BLE connectable devices list without using 3rd party apps? I currently got my app up and running and it works flawlessly using Android smartphones, but I would like to also migrate it to be able to connect to iOS devices. Thanks!
Have anybody developed BLE HID sample for P-NUCLEO-WB55 board ? I am very interested in Keyboard or Mouse or better Combo code.
Hello, I am using an STM32WB series processor. I am working on an MSC project involving an SD card that I communicate with via SPI. When I connect my circuit to my computer through the USB port, I encounter the following issue: "Please insert a disk into USB Drive (E:)." I am sharing the library I am using for the SD card and the modifications I made to the usbd_storage_if.c file. Could you please help me resolve this issue?
(1)I am trying to develop a product using the STM32WB5MMG.Can I leave the unused IO pins of the STM32WB5MMG as NC?Do I need to do pull-down (or pull-up) in HW?The STM32WB5MMG has a lot of IO pins.If I need to place a pull-down resistor, I'll have to place dozens of resistors. That doesn't seem realistic. (2)Are you able to provide an internal schematics of the STM32WB5MMG?If so, please provide a link.
HI,I'm new to STM programming. I have set up everything and I'm able to load the program to the board. but when I'm trying to print some lines to the SWV data console, nothing is getting printed. I have used the example UART printf program that is given by the example of ST projects.I'm using STLink and below is my configuration for debugging. in the .ioc file I'm not able to see the debug option in sys section this is how I'm getting the debug screen. no error but no prints are coming on the swv data consolebelow is my while loop code to print the count value. count while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ printf("The counter value: %d /r/n", count); count++; HAL_Delay(1000); } as we can see the count value is changing. but that is not getting printed. What can change here to get the expected result?
Hello, I am trying to get interrupt from additional Switches SW4 and SW5 on pins PC2 and PC3 similar to on board SW1-SW3.See: https://github.com/stm32-hotspot/STM32WB-BLE-HID-Selfie.I made the follow code changes:in stm32wbxx_nucleo.h:typedef enum{BUTTON_SW1 = 0,BUTTON_SW2 = 1,BUTTON_SW3 = 2,BUTTON_SW4 = 3,BUTTON_SW5 = 4,} Button_TypeDef;for SW1-SW5:#define BUTTON_SW4_PIN GPIO_PIN_2#define BUTTON_SW4_GPIO_PORT GPIOC#define BUTTON_SW4_GPIO_CLK_ENABLE() __HAL_RCC_GPIOD_CLK_ENABLE()#define BUTTON_SW4_GPIO_CLK_DISABLE() __HAL_RCC_GPIOD_CLK_DISABLE()#define BUTTON_SW4_EXTI_LINE GPIO_PIN_2#define BUTTON_SW4_EXTI_IRQn EXTI2_IRQn#define BUTTON_SW5_PIN GPIO_PIN_3#define BUTTON_SW5_GPIO_PORT GPIOC#define BUTTON_SW5_GPIO_CLK_ENABLE() __HAL_RCC_GPIOD_CLK_ENABLE()#define BUTTON_SW5_GPIO_CLK_DISABLE() __HAL_RCC_GPIOD_CLK_DISABLE()#define BUTTON_SW5_EXTI_LINE GPIO_PIN_3#define BUTTON_SW5_EXTI_IRQn EXTI3_IRQn#define BUTTONx_GPIO_CLK_ENABLE(__INDEX__) do { if ((__INDEX__) == BUTTON_SW1) BUTTON_SW1_GPIO
Hi,We are using BLE central stack,Version: 1.17Use case: BLE central on a WB55 node performs device discovery and tries to connect to a BLE device with random address. A typical good flow works very well, central connects and read out all characteristics. But as the BLE device is battery powered and sometime goes to sleep. When BLE device is in sleep mode (after advertising for certain duration) and if BLE central tries to connect this sleeping device, the connection timeout event (or any such event with HandleHciLeConnectionUpdateCompleteEvent) is not raised by stack. All further calls to API aci_gap_create_connection is returned with error 12 (means stack connect API is busy). The only option is to reset the MCU. Here are the input parameters to aci_gap_create_connection: auto peerAddress = RANDOM_ADDR; // Create connection parameters const uint16_t leScanInterval = 0x320; const uint16_t leScanWindow = 0x320; // Connection Inte
Hi,It's been a long time since I last programmed an STM32. I've been put on a project that uses the STM32WBA55CGU7, so I've gotten a STM32WBA55G-DK1 development board.I've loaded up the example program "GPIO_InfiniteLedToggling_Init". I had hoped that it would work out of the box... no such luck. The program is supposed to blink LD3.I've got the program compiled and loaded on the board. The debugger appear to be working just fine, stopping at breakpoints etc.But no love from LD3. I've got all the jumpers in the default locations and I am powering the board via the USB-C connector plugged into my laptop. There is a green power LED(LD4) that is on. LD1 is solid green and LD2 is blinking green/red. I'm under the impression that this the expected behavior... except that but LD3 shows nothing.I have been having trouble finding any documentation that would indicate what the trouble is.I am able to probe the Arduino interface's D8 pin which is shown as connected to
Hello,Using custom firmware on an Inhouse designed board, the BLE output seems unmodulated as shown in the picture attached. But using the Transparent mode firmware on a Nucleo-Board (controlled via the Cube monitorRF) the modulation seems good (also attached)So,1. Is there any option to tune the modulation further other than default ?2. Can someone provide the Transparent mode firmware for the STM32WB55VGQ package ? This can help in FCC testing. This picture shows the sidebands when tx is ON on the 1st channel. This picture shows there are no sidebands on the Nucleo Board which are coming in the above pic.
Hi,The ST bluetooth SIG wiki for STM32WBx (link here) seems to be out of date since the TCRL required has been updated to TCRL 2024-1. The wiki shows that the test report generated by the online tool, simply required referencing the applicable QDIDs. Well with the new TCRL 2024-1, this is supposedly not required anymore as there's no option in the test report to refence the ST qualified QDIDs ? I suspect this couldbe due to the whole tesdt report being incorrectly generated as the online tool from Bluetooth SIG states that hte ST QDIDs does not specify a LE core-host or core configuration ? This leaves one then to specify it manually in the online tool ? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
