Hi,I am currently playing with the NUCLEO-WBA55 board with the BLE_p2pServer_ota example.During the advertising process, I got this raw data with the BLE scanner on my phone. I mean that the 0x30 is the ID for STMicroelectronics, but what is behind it? Can someone explain to me what 000010080E12AAB is?
Hello,I want to activate UART1 interrupt directly through code in STM32CubeIDE, without using the .ioc file. UART1 is already active, so I just need to add the necessary lines to enable the interrupt.In the stm32wbxx_it.c file, I defined the interrupt handler as follows:void USART1_IRQHandler(void){/* USER CODE BEGIN USART1_IRQn 0 *//* USER CODE END USART1_IRQn 0 */HAL_UART_IRQHandler(&huart1);/* USER CODE BEGIN USART1_IRQn 1 *//* USER CODE END USART1_IRQn 1 */}In the stm32wbxx_it.h library, I declared the prototype as void USART1_IRQHandler(void);. However, I am still not able to receive data using the HAL_UART_Receive_IT function.
Hi , is it possible to get the RX sensitivity of the STM32WLE5JCI6 in other LORA conditions then mentioned in the Datasheet ? our LORA parameters are:PER=1%BW= 20.8Khz to 125KhzSF= 7 to 11split RF paths for RX and TX using RF SWITCH Thank you,Viola
Hello,I am trying to use WB55 as a Zigbee device on HomeAssistant. I have made some progress so far, and I can use it as an OnOff switch on HomeAssistant and report my switch status in real-time to HomeAssistant.At first, I added WB55 to HomeAssistant and it worked very well. I modified the client to server based on the demo, so it changes the OnOff state every second, and I can see its status changes in real time on HomeAssistant. But if I restart the device, I won't see any status changes again when WB55 is reconnected to HomeAssistant. I didn't do anything in HomeAssistant, reconnecting looks completely automatic.I provided the source code I modified and its logs. I hope to receive an answer.Thank youWeng
Hi ST CommunityI'm working on a BLE Beacon application. There is a device which is beaconing every second. Goal is to scan for these beacons and update to gateway. Using this function 'aci_gap_start_general_discovery_proc' to scan for the beaconing packets. 1. Can I get more information on filtering the duplicates? I've passed 0x01 in the function argument.2. Can I start the scan procedure again without any delay after receiving the 'ACI_GAP_PROC_COMPLETE_VSEVT_CODE' event?3. Is there a way to reduce the processing time while parsing through the Beacon packets in the 'HCI_LE_ADVERTISING_REPORT_SUBEVT_CODE'. The application is using USB, BLE and FreeRTOS. Should I be taking any precaution/pre requisite steps?
Hello,Who should I contact to obtain the firmware of the P-NUCLEO-LRWAN2.Thanks
Hello, I'm experiencing an issue with my LoRa gateway (P-NUCLEO-LRWAN2, NUCLEO-F746ZG). I was able to connect and configure the gateway using AT commands, but suddenly, nothing works anymore. When I connect the gateway, a file named "FAIL.txt" appears, indicating: "The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU." Additionally, I can no longer see the configurations when I reset the gateway via the serial connection. If you have any ideas on how to resolve this issue, I'd appreciate your help.
Hi ,In table 32 in the Datasheet we can see TXDRP parameter which describes RF output power drop versus supply voltage. is there also RF frequency offset as a result of the supply voltage drop ? If the answer is yes - can you estimate it ? Thank you,Viola
Hello ST Community,I’m currently working on a project using the RAK3172 Evaluation Board that integrates the STM32WLE5 chipset. I successfully tested the default example (LORAWAN_AT_SLAVE), and it works well on the evaluation board. I’m able to communicate using AT commands as expected.Project Setup:In my project, I need to:Read multiple sensor data over UART via RS485.Send this data to a server using LoRaWAN communication.Challenges:The STM32WLE5 in the RAK3172 module has three UART peripherals, but only two can be used simultaneously. Here’s my current setup:UART1: Used to receive sensor data over RS485.UART2: Used for debugging.This configuration leaves me without a dedicated UART for LoRaWAN communication. Since I can’t use a third UART, I’ve tried sharing UART2 between debugging and LoRaWAN communication.LoRaWAN Configuration and Issue:I’ve hardcoded the AT commands in the code itself to configure and join the LoRaWAN network, so they’re not being entered manually. However, a
Hi there, I tried to set STM32 as the master and adafruit feather ESP8266 as the slave. They are going to communicate through I2C. Below is the configuration of the i2c3 because it is the only port for external sensors:Then I write below code for master STM32:HAL_StatusTypeDef ret; uint8_t counter; uint8_t i2c_addr = 0; MX_I2C3_Init(); while (1) { for (counter = 0; counter < 255; counter++) { ret = HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady(&hi2c3, (uint16_t)(counter<<1), 3, HAL_MAX_DELAY); if(ret == HAL_OK) { i2c_addr = counter; HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(LED_GPIO_Port, LED_Pin); } } HAL_Delay(500); }And code in Arduino for slave feather:#include <Wire.h> #if defined(ARDUINO_SAMD_ZERO) && defined(SERIAL_PORT_USBVIRTUAL) // Required for Serial on Zero based boards #define Serial SERIAL_PORT_USBVIRTUAL #endif int cnt = 0; void receiveEvent(int howMany) { while (1 < Wire.available()) { // loop through all but the last char c = Wire.r
Hi,If I have understood correctly, the OTA bootloader is already integrated in the examples BLE_p2pServer_ota and BLE_HeartRate_ota for the WBA55CG. This means that the BLE_ApplicationInstallManager no longer needs to be installed on the target beforehand. Then why is the start address of the flash 0x0800 6000 and not 0x0800 0000 in the linker script file? If the OTA bootloader is also installed, the start address should not be 0x0800 0000?Here the Memory Definitions in the Linker-Script file:BLE_p2pServer_ota/* Memories definition */ MEMORY { RAM (rw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000020, LENGTH = (128K - 0x20) NVM (r) : ORIGIN = 0x080FC000, LENGTH = 16K DATA (r) : ORIGIN = 0x080FA000, LENGTH = 8K FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08006000, LENGTH = 488K } BLE_ApplicationInstallManager/* Memories definition */ MEMORY { RAM (rw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000010, LENGTH = (0x10000 - 0x10) FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 0x6000 }In this case, so if the OTA bootloader is included here for BLE_p2pServ
Hi,where can i find the OTA-Bootloader for STM32WBA55?For STM32WB it is located in the regarding FW-Package in Folder "BLE_Ota", but in the FW-Package of STM32WBA i can't find it there.
Hello AllI am very confused about picking the correct STM32WL for LoRaWAN. There appears to be:STM32WL5MOC - The datasheet says this is a STM32WL55JC - What does the MOC add? Then there is the:STM32WL55CCSTM32WL55JCFrom what I can tell is the CC has less pins. Then we get to buying these:STM32WL55CC (U6) STM32WL55CC (U7) Whats the difference between U6 and U7 - This is not mentione in the datasheetThe MOC is offered as:STM32WL5MOC (H6TR) STM32WL5MOC (H6STR) Whats the difference between H6TR and H6STR For development we are considering using the:B-WLM5-SUBG1 development board. This contains the STM32WL5MOC not sure doesn't say H6STR or H6TRIs there a recommed STLINK-V3 programmer to use with this series?Thank you
Hi,i am working within a 1.8V system for digital supply. I am currently designing the schematic but I struggle how to integrate the STM32WL55 into an 1.8V system while assuring I am able to achieve +22dBm output power. The issue is that the datasheets says one MUST connect VDDRF and VDDSMPS to VDD thus limiting the radio power supply to the 1.8V of the digital domain.With only 1.8V the maximum transmit power is only +16dBm which cuts the transmit distance by 1/4.I cannot change VDD to anything else than 1.8V as other lower power components rely on it. Is there any workaround for this limitation?For example is it possible to connect a 3V supply to VDDPA in order to supply the PA-Regulator with a separate power supply?Or could I just supply my own power via a tunable supply voltage to RFO_HP (basically substituting the PA-Regulator with my own external circuit). I am struggling with this limitation in a big way. Especially this limitation contradicts the low power claims,
Hello, can somebody help me to select the STM32 controller and it's developer board for my first project that involves:wireless air mouse with keyboard and TV controller?
Hello,I am using Nucleo-64 to evaluate the Zigbee power consumption of WB55. When testing Zigbee, it can be seen that after adding Zigbee, the power consumption of the development board is significantly reduced, and the measured average current does not exceed 500ua.However, when testing the BLEZigbee_Static routine, even after the addition was completed, the current did not significantly decrease and remained greater than 10ma. And I couldn't find any explanation about low power consumption in the readme. txt file.Based on the above situation, I speculate that BLEZigbee_Static has not entered Stop2 mode. I want to know if it is possible to support both BLE and ZigBee while ensuring low power consumption.Thank youWeng
Hello,I'm working on a hobby project where I'm trying to control AC via IR signals controlled through Zigbee and Home Assistant. Thus, I'm working on STM32WB5MM-DK, currently experiencing with the zigbee part of the project as the other parts of the project are already functional.I'm using STM32Cube of course and first tried -- successfully -- to join my Home Assistant zigbee network, this part is working correctly. The fact is that I now want to be able to store the network parameters and then rejoin it after a reboot or reset of the STM32. Good news is that there is a solution: Persistent storage as described in AN5492.I read the AN5492 and the Zigbee_OnOff_Router_NVM example. My current code is globally a copy/paste of the Zigbee_OnOff_Router_NVM example with one GPIO control in the On/Off callback. The clusters I'm using are Commissioning (Server) and On/Off (Server), both on the same endpoint. While I can still join my network if the NVM is cleared from any Zig
I take a photo with ov2640 camera. I try to send this photo with zigbee protocol from router to coordinator. I achive this but there is a problem. After I send a photo the communication is locked totally and I can't send any data.Does zigbee protocal support to send this big data that I try to send?
Hello Team ST, I am currently working on parsing my extended BLE data using the BLE_p2pClient_Ext application, specifically the `analyse_ext_adv_report` function to view the advertising data. However, I am having trouble parsing and appending the full extended advertising data. Could you please assist me with this issue? Thank you in advance. Here is my modified function. static uint8_t analyse_ext_adv_report(hci_le_extended_advertising_report_event_rp0 *p_ext_adv_report) { uint8_t status; if ((display_filter != 0) && HAL_IS_BIT_SET(p_ext_adv_report->Event_Type, 0x0010)) { status = 1; } else { status = 0; l_buff_pos = 0; memset(&l_buff[l_buff_pos], 0, L_BUFF_SIZE); l_buff_pos += snprintf(&l_buff[l_buff_pos], L_BUFF_SIZE - l_buff_pos, "%02X:%02X:%02X:%02X:%02X:%02X | ", p_ext_adv_report->Address[5], p_ext_adv_report->Address[4], p_ext_adv_report->Address[3], p_ext_adv_report->Address[2], p_ext_adv_report->A
I followed the tutorial above to use the NUCLEO STM32WB55 USB Dongle.When I insert the USB Dongle to my PC, the Device Manager shows an 'unknown device' instead of the normal COM port. While when I connect the NUCLEO WB55 board, the Device Manager can show a COM port. (The PC system is WIN10 22H2 64bit.)The USB Dongle can be programmed with the STM32Cubeprogrammer and can connect to the WB55 board (The LED can flash synchronously).So, it seems that the USB Dongle is OK, just can`t be recognized by the Device Manger.Should I install a driver for the USB Dongle? I have searched the driver on the ST official website, but no one found.Can anyone tell me where the driver, or help me to fix the problem?Really thanks!!
Here's a revised version of your message:---Hi,I am using the NUCLEO-WB15CC board for a custom application where I read an analog sensor value with a 12-bit ADC resolution. The issue arises when I try to transmit this data over BLE. I am using the following code to update the BLE characteristic:In the BLE Toolbox app, I see the hex value `0x0F` when I connect 3.3V to the analog pin. Since `0x0F` is not the expected equivalent of 4095, I believe the data isn't being transmitted correctly. However, when I use `APP_DBG_MSG` to print the ADC value in the Serial Terminal, I can correctly see `4095`.My second issue is related to low-power mode. I want to update the BLE characteristic every two seconds and enter low-power mode when idle. I'm using an LPTIM IRQ handler to trigger the task every two seconds, and this works fine. But when I set `CFG_LPM_SUPPORTED` to 1, the device no longer shows up in the BLE Toolbox app. Does this mean we can't enter low-power mode while maintaining a BLE conn
Hello,I'm trying to connect my ST-LINK-PWR V3 to my own bord with a STM32WL5M0 but it doesn't wrok. I also tried with a J-Link probe and a Nucleo board and that doesn't work either.I modified my card to work at 3.3V, no improvement.The MCU is fresh from factory so virgin from any code.I have read many articles about the same problem but haven't found any solution.Any idea?Thanks.
I cannot build a simple BLE project using the newest version of STM32CUBEIDE (1.16.1) for the STM32WB09KE.Steps taken:Create new project for the STM32WB09KE.Enable all dependencies needed for RADIO, RADIO_TIMER and STM32_BLE, and enabled those.When trying to build the project after generating code at this stage, i get an error for "fatal error: stm32wb0x_ll_rng.h: No such file or directory".This can be resolved by enabling the RTC in the device configuration tool.When trying to build now, i get he following warning, and error:C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.16.1/STM32CubeIDE/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.12.3.rel1.win32_1.0.200.202406191623/tools/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/12.3.1/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld.exe: warning: C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.16.1/STM32CubeIDE/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.12.3.rel1.win32_1.0.200.202406191623/tools/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/12.3.1/thumb/v6-m/nofp/crtn.o: missing .note.GNU-stac
Hello, is there PAwR support for the STM32WB5MMG module? is there also any example such as for wb0?Thanks
Hi all,I am using a custom board which is very similar to this one here: https://github.com/WeActStudio/WeActStudio.STM32WB55CoreBoard/blob/master/Hardware/WeAct-STM32WB55CoreBoard_V10%20SchDoc.pdf I am using this tutorial as the main setup reference:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zgw3wRpGSRQ Initially, it doesn't work for me, as the service just doesn't show up in BLE TOOLBOX. After a lot of fiddling, I eventually nailed down to the RFWKP clock settings, only when I set it to HSE, will Toolbox manage to discover the service, if I follow the video's suggestion and set it to LSE, it won't work.I am wondering the reason why, and if there is any remedy for this.Any suggestion will be very much appreciated.Thank you.
