Hi,I access the system bootloader by setting the bits nBOOT0/nSWBOOT0 = 0 and nBOOT1 = 1 in my code. I manage to connect via UART and flash my new firmware but then my MCU does not reboot because it remains in the system bootloader. How can I do this without using the JTAG port to change the values of nBOOT0/nSWBOOT0/nBOOT1 so that my MCU once flashed leaves the system bootloader and reboots into my code? Thanks for your help.
Is the Filter & Antenna Matching Network for STM32WBA5 also apply to STM32WBA6?Also application note AN5948 (How to develop RF hardware using STM32WBA5xxx MCUs) apply to STM32WBA6?
Hello,I'm trying to get BLE working on my custom STM32WB55CGU6 board. I was following this tutorial since it matches well with my setup: STM32 Bluetooth Firmware Tutorial (Bring-Up) - Phil's Lab #129However I am not able to see my board using nRF Connect app. Code does not seem to end in any error and keeps looping this part: while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */ MX_APPE_Process(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ }I have flashed the FUS and BLE_Stack_full_fw using STM32CubeProgrammer:I'm new with STM32CubeIDE tool and would appreciate any help in this matter :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes:Here is my full program with schematic of the board: https://github.com/nikorainto/STM32WB55CGU6_BLE_TEST
Hi all, We want to use STM32WB55CEU6 for a project that needs wireless transmission, but at the same time we would also like to have onboard memory in form of a micro SD card. What I have found so far is that STM32 products integrate SDMMC controller for this purpose, but for STM32WB55CEU6 I cannot find anything in the datasheet that mentions this controller. It seems a bit overwhelming at the moment, perhaps someone can point out if it is still possible to interface with a microSD card nonetheless, or if there is another similar product that integrates this controller, or perhaps some other solution? Maybe there are some development boards using STM32WB55CEU6 or similar that show how to do this?Best regards,STMDesginer
Looking for an example where pairing exchanges keys for a secure connection. Or a book, somewhere someone should have written a book.
Hello,i' m using STM32CubeIDE with Nucleo-WB05KZ .i started with the exemple of BLE_p2pServer, so i imported the project and when i tried to Run the project i get this error : Program "make" not found in PATH there an extention "make" to install also ? thanks
Hello, i'm starting with the Nucleo-WB05KZ for the first time, i found some exemples (hex files) to test, please have you un exemple just to try the BLE communication between the board and android application : exchange of data for exemple ? thanks
Are there any plans to open source it? code would help a lot
Hi, I'm trying to implement a DHT22 humidity/temperature sensor in the Lorawan stack. The stack works fine, as does the sensor, but separately. When I try to combine them so that each time I send the data, the sensor reads it, they don't work.
If I tried to connect Nucleo-WB55RG with CubeProgrammer GUI and CUI to update wireless stack using swd connection, the behavior of each was different.I could start FUS and update wireless stack on GUI, but cannot start FUS and update wireless stack like picutures.I just followed how to flash on STM32WB_Copro_Wireless_Binaries/STM32WB5x/Release_Notes .What is difference or what is wrong on CUI update? If I tried to use FUS on CUI, always asked "File does not exist: 0x495_FUS_Operator.bin" as error message.Best regards,
after looking over all the documentation i could find (datasheet, reference manual, etc.), i could not clearly find how i am meant to connect IR LED(s) for IrDA communication with an STM32WB55. The image i attached is a screenshot from the reference manual, which implies that there may be IrDA_OUT and _IN pins (i'm interpreting this as being seperate from the TX and RX pins). Am i supposed to add some kind of intermediate IC for IrDA, or can the STM32WB55 actually output signals for driving/reading IR LEDs/photodiodes? P.S. i'm aware of the existance of the IR_OUT pins, but that appears to be its own seperate thing. In the IR_OUT documentation they use only timers (TIM16 & TIM17), not the USART peripheral.
Hello, I would like to know if the STM32 WLxx is supported by X-CUBE-STL. Because at this sitehttps://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/ecosystems/functionalsafety.html#functionalsafety-resourcesin the table below at the line RPN "X-CUBE-STL" the WL is part of the list of Supported devices but not in the linked document of "X-CUBE-STL": https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-stl.htmlThank you for reading.
I want to use HSE/1000 instead of LSE for the BLE Radio Sleep Timer Clock mux on the WBA6.Advertising works (being BLE peripheral), but after a connect, I immediately get a BLE disconnect (reason 8) when selecting the HSE/1000 input. HSEON bit is set on RCC; I'm not using any low power mode.
Hello, I am developing a Zigbee SED application on the STM32WB5MMG in which I need to use the RTCs timestamps for logging. VBAT is connected to 3.3V and LSE is used. My expectation is, that the RTC keeps running while Zigbee Sleepy End Device is not active (e.g. in STOP mode) such that the time the controller is sleepy the RTC still keeps track of time. The actual result is, that the RTC only continues counting only when the device active which results in the log containing useless timestamps. What might be the issue here? The RTC timestamps look close to this with wakeup every 5 seconds:01-01-2000T00:00:0101-01-2000T00:00:0201-01-2000T00:00:03Expected result:01-01-2000T00:00:0101-01-2000T00:00:0601-01-2000T00:00:11 Best regards
Hi ST community, I'm working on a project using an STM32WB55VGY, with the base code generated by STM32CubeMX v6.13.0 and HAL drivers v1.21.0. We aim to enable HSE and LSE Clock Security System (CSS) to detect clock failures and put the device into an error mode (e.g., turning on an LED when an error occurs). However, when testing LSECSS with an interrupt, I noticed that the callback function is never triggered. Here is the code I have implemented: Init: int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* Config code for STM32_WPAN (HSE Tuning must be done before system clock configuration) */ MX_APPE_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ #ifdef DBG_RTT log_init(); log_info("START!\r\n"); #endif /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config();
The STM32CubeMX code generator allows you to enable the internal HSE and use it as the system clock source. However, when attempting to run the code, the system always fails into the Error Handler.
I am currently developing a board using the STM32WB09TEF7TR microcontroller.Unfortunately, when the device is powered on, the microcontroller does not function properly. It only starts working after manually resetting the reset pin.To diagnose this issue, I am accessing the memory immediately after powering on the device in hot-plug mode to check its status. The register bit log data is attached.Could you help me understand the current state of this microcontroller?
Dear,I have a problem when runing this example code, fail to send all cmds if use directly uart1 port ,but can send successful cmd by using STLINK uart,i don't know why?Can somebody help me?both two ways i saw signal on GPIO23, but no response if directly send cmd to GPIO23,next step i need run this code on my board to evaluate antenna, need change uart1 to uart 3,please advise if you have any suggesttion, thanks!
Hello I was trying to follow the matter and thread protocol to create my own project. I was following step 1.2.2.5 where the documentation suggest to rename the project in the Cube IDE from "Lighting-App" to "my_light-app". After this step most of my files are unable to open in the cube IDE, it gave me the following error ( I included a screenshot in this post). The problem didn't go away after I changed the included path according to the last step of the documentation. ThanksBrady
Hello i'm using STM32WB05KZ (nucleo board) : Nucleo-WB05KZ with STM32CubemonitorRF Please why here i can't select "Get RSSI" , it's locked ? and other question how can i modifie the outpout power (TX) of the antenna ( dBm) ? thank you
Hello, I am trying to implement a BMP 280 with matter. The project is to send the measured temperature back into matter and display on the home app on iPhone. At the end of 1.2.2.5 matter develop and prototype document, it mentioned to check if for each callback in the .h file, the corresponding folder should be added to the CUBE IDE. I have two callbacks in the .h file that I couldn't find a corresponding folder. The first one is: MatterTemperatureMeasurementPluginServerInitCallback();The second one is:MatterBindingPluginServerInitCallback();I am wondering if there's any suggestions on where else I can find the corresponding files, and if there aren't corresponding folders available how would I write my own folders.ThanksBrady
Hello thanks for replying. to upload the Hex file i used STM32Programmer, but when i connect the borad via USB cable to my PC i receive un error : Best Regards.
Hello, I'm using the board STM32WB05KZ and i installed STM32CubeMonitorRF to connect to the baord (Mode BLE) But i received a notification that i can't connect to the board
Working on a simple LoRA sensor which is powered by a lithium capacitor, I am wondering whether to rely on the internal SMPS or an external buck IC for stepping down voltage to improve efficiency. My measurements of the internal SMPS indicate a efficiency of around 60% (if I assume a minimal consumption of 8.1mW) Is this about right or am I missing something? So it would be quite beneficial to add an external buck IC like the TPS63900 with >90% efficiency and 75nA Iq and step down to around 2V (LoRa in EU868 should still be operational), correct? (In that case, should I turn off the internal SMPS for both SubGhz and normal operation?)
I have my device that is working on FreeRTOS. The main issue is that when I connect my device to an app (a custom or the ST BLE toolbox), I kill the app. If I relaunch the app, the device is not shown. To check why it causes this issue, I check if my device is connected to the phone, for example, to try to relaunch the advertising. But then I saw that my device stayed at BLE APP_BLE_FAST_ADV even if I was connected.I also checked at two places if I am connected.in custom_app.c in this function : void Custom_APP_Notification(Custom_App_ConnHandle_Not_evt_t* pNotification) { /* USER CODE BEGIN CUSTOM_APP_Notification_1 */ /* USER CODE END CUSTOM_APP_Notification_1 */ switch (pNotification->Custom_Evt_Opcode) { /* USER CODE BEGIN CUSTOM_APP_Notification_Custom_Evt_Opcode */ /* USER CODE END P2PS_CUSTOM_Notification_Custom_Evt_Opcode */ case CUSTOM_CONN_HANDLE_EVT: /* USER CODE BEGIN CUSTOM_CONN_HANDLE_EVT */ /* USER CODE END CUSTOM_CONN_HANDLE_EVT */ break; cas
