Dear all,We are using CMWX1ZZABZ (STM32L082) with API I-CUBE-LRWAN (1.1.4).The consumption in STOP mode is about 1.7µA that is very good. The device go back in STOP mode after the transmission with the function LORA_send( &AppData, LORAWAN_DEFAULT_CONFIRM_MSG_STATE); in the Send() function.Sometimes we want to not send at each cycle (for example send a payload just one in two cycles). To do this we used a structure like this :void Send(void) { If ( ! is_send_condition_met() ) { Do some operations with GPIOs ; return; } LORA_send( &AppData, LORAWAN_DEFAULT_CONFIRM_MSG_STATE); }When the condition is not met, so we do some operations with GPIOs and then the return is supposed to leave the Send() function and then go back to STOP mode ! But after the return the device consumption is about 9.5mA to the next cycle.... And in other cycle after LORA_send() in Send() function the device goes back in STOP mode, this is okay !So when we are in case of condition is not met, wit
Hi All,Seeking some information regarding whether there will be any future releases of FW supporting a dual stack for the Murata CMWX1ZZABZ-078 module for both LoRa and SigFox in parallel. Are there any announcements for supporting this feature in the form of an AT-Command driven interface?Any information regarding dual stack support would be appreciated.Regards
As I said in the title, I tried to test the PingPong example avaliable in the I-CUBE-LRWAN software expansion but it does not work on B-L072Z-LRWAN1 board. After importing the project to SW4STM32 and running it (without doing any modifications), this is what I get in console:Open On-Chip Debugger 0.10.0-dev-00010-g96aab7b (2018-07-13-06:51)Licensed under GNU GPL v2For bug reports, read http://openocd.org/doc/doxygen/bugs.htmlsrst_only separate srst_nogate srst_open_drain connect_assert_srstInfo : The selected transport took over low-level target control. I am fairly new to STM32 programming and I want to stablish a communication between both boards (B-L072Z-LRWAN1 and NUCLEO-L053R8 + I-NUCLEO-LRWAN1). I was wondering if I can achieve this goal using the PingPong example located in the Cube expansion folder. This example is avaliable for the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 board but not for the NUCLEO-L053R8 + I-NUCLEO-LRWAN1 combination. However, the PingPong example is avaliable for NUCLEO-L053R8 + some other boards like sx1272mb2das.What do I need to modify if I want to make the example avaliable for the NUCLEO-L053R8 + I-NUCLEO-LRWAN1 combination?Thank you in advance.

Posted on July 11, 2018 at 15:17Hello,until now i have a serial connection to my Board. So i just have to read out my COM Port to get the Data i need. My next step is to get rid of the cable. Which Module would you recommend for this? And is it much more harder to read out an Ethernet Port with my WPF C♯ program? The Serial Port connection was very easy but i dont want to make my Bachelorthesis more difficult.#c# #wlan #nucleo-f411re #wpf #wireless

Posted on January 19, 2018 at 17:25Hello.I was working with the LRWAN software using the Murata module a couple of months ago and was happy with its operation and functionality on my custom PCB. I moved over to hardware/antenna development and now have a board whose performance I am happy with. However I have now moved back into software development and noticed that the LRWAN software had moved up a few revisions. I was working with 1.1.1 and so I downloaded the latest (1.1.4), configured everything and now find that although I can successfully perform an uplink and downlink, I am not receiving a confirmation when I turn on confirmed messages (using AT+CFM=1). When I load up my previous project (1.1.1) confirmed messages work fine.I'm trying to pin down why this is and am trying to download a fresh copy of 1.1.1. as well as 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 so that I can track the changes which may have resulted this problem. However, I cannot locate the archive of previous versions.Has anyone els

Posted on March 23, 2018 at 20:00 Hi, I've made a custom board based on CMWX1ZZABZ-091 which contains theSTM32L072CZ device and am currently trying to modify existing End_Node (\STM32CubeExpansion_LRWAN_V1.1.4\Projects\Multi\Applications\LoRa\End_Node) application to transmitt data on two events: either a timer event or external gpio event. While looking at the source code I see that the following functions exists: LoraStartTx( TX_ON_TIMER) ;? Which basically selects one(!)event that will wake-up the device from sleep in order to transmitt the data. Is it possible to have two wakeup sources ? If yes, is it as simple as to modify the LoraStartTx function as follows: static void LoraStartTx(void) { /* send everytime timer elapses */ TimerInit( &TxTimer, OnTxTimerEvent ); TimerSetValue( &TxTimer, APP_TX_DUTYCYCLE); OnTxTimerEvent(); /* send everytime button is pressed */ GPIO_InitTypeDef initStruct={0}; initStruct.Mode =GPIO_MODE_IT_RISING; initStruct.Pull
Posted on June 21, 2018 at 11:22Hello,I'm new to LoRa network, and I would like to use the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 board to exchange data with a server. I use the I-CUBE-LRWAN 'Ping Pong' project as a starting point. I'd like to modify the ping pong app to exchange data with the server, but I need to specify EUIs (App EUI, Dev EUI...) but I havent find where I can do that. I have check this video, where EUIs are defined in Comissioning.h, but it is based on a P-NUCLEO-LRWAN1 kit :https://youtu.be/np6oYopJyFI Thanks !Best RegardsThomas#b-l072z-lrwan1-lora-eui
Posted on June 08, 2018 at 05:21Hi,I'm actually working with a LoRaWAN kit (https://techship.com/products/acsip-lorawan-evk-antenna-kit-s76sxb/) based on STM32L073x and Semtech SX1276 radio module. So the kit comes with examples based on Semtech example. I have been able to flash thoses examples via SWD pins and an STM32F0 Discovery ST-Link.But since yesterday, I can't flash anything on the kit. I'm using Keil uVision5. When I try to flash something I get the error message 'No target connected'. I can't even connect with the ST-Link Utility and when I try to set Boot0 High and use STM32 Flash Loader the program crash right after selecting the COM port when I need to select the device in the target list.ST-Link is not the problem as I can still flash on the Discovery board.I'm really out of idea, I don't know if the MCU is bricked or anything else.If you have any idea, please tell me beacause I'm totaly stuck at the moment.ThanksEDIT : Last time I was able to flash, I tri

Posted on June 14, 2018 at 18:54Hello,i see that in the CUBE for lorawan, the HAL_InitTick function has been rewritten, with a simple return and does nothing, replacing the standard in the HAL_drivers, so the timeout function of every other HAL don't work due the HAL_GetTick function that don't work. What can i do to reintroduce the possibility of reading Ticks without break everything, and why this has been deactivated? Thanks in Advance#lora
Posted on June 12, 2018 at 17:39Hi,I am working on a project about LoRa expansion board, I have an stm32l053 Nucleo and an I-NUCLEO-LRWAN1 with a sx1272 transceiver.I am trying to compile the PING PONG project from STM32CubeExpansion_LRWAN_V1.1.5, but each time there is RX_TIMEOUT that appears on the terminal (termite or terra term or even Putty). And we have no communication between our 2 modules. We tried do make some modifications, such as those shown in the link below:https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2FUSIWP1Module%2FUSI_I-NUCLEO-LRWAN1&h=ATOezg6d55-Q3zXRyCjKVT8m-iqADBfayhvuqw8Sdse6s4K5NcBsXWXXciaggQplCwzI0kwLgEnAxXnvqOqvY5RPKqygI6lP_3WWVtDJF6npPcZFXX4We also tried to run the code and verify that there is a transmission with a spectrum analyzer, but nothing appeared. We were trying to understand the functioning of the ping-pong example to understand how the transmission with LoRa Module works. Because our target is to enable communication between 2 L

Posted on April 27, 2017 at 11:23The CalculateBackOff method of teh i cuve lrwan is too old and contains a major bug for join duty cycle procedure. The calcBackOff.ElapsedTime is always now !.In case of a new Initiliazation of the LoRa Stack, maybe 10 hours after the RTC startup, the join procedure will be delayed. This elapsed time must be the the LoRaMacInitializationTime as made in the official semtech repo, see following diff....https://github.com/Lora-net/LoRaMac-node/commit/ab4a779cc4f159d39b4b0409bd7392d3e4d2cf7b https://github.com/Lora-net/LoRaMac-node/commit/f8ad47e4b73370ee1e977866fa1946f274a362aa In is really a mess that your fork of the semtech official repo is not on github to can update easily all correction made on the official repo.#i-cube-lrwan
Posted on January 02, 2018 at 14:09My team and I are currently working on a project that involve a ST board (the STM32L072CZYxx) to create a bidirectionnal GSM-LoRa gateway. As we've already succeeded in implementing the GSM side of the gateway, we are currently working on the LoRa part of the project. To achieve this, we're trying to use the http://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/i-cube-lrwan.html, but can't figure out how to add this library to the http://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubemx.html project. It seems like, this library can't be added to our project through STM32CubeMX. The only solution we have is to add manually the library to the project but we can't figure out how to do it. We imported the middlewares we needed into the project however, the IDE we use (Atollic TRUEStudio or SW4STM32) detects a lot of errors in the project and we really don't understand why (the source for middlewares were coded by ST, so basically no errors).#lorawan #b-l072z-lrwan1 #lora

Posted on May 23, 2018 at 09:03I have been working on stm32 lora discovery kit B-L072Z-LRWAN1 board and what i want to do is, I want to program the STM32L0 board and access all the other pis related to it. The peripherals mentioned and given in the board is to be programmed using the STM32L0 module. The software I am using is System workbench based on eclipse. How am i supposed to do that ??? I referred the circuit diagram and understood that most of the pin outs and header which are given in the board are of STM32L0 and not of STM32F103xx. So i want to program the STM32L0 board independent of STM32F103... Please help me regarding the same...##stm32f103 ##stm32 #b-l072z-lrwan1
Posted on May 22, 2018 at 12:32Hello everyone, This is my first post here.As part of my research with LoRaWAN, I am working on a custom built board having an STM32L072 module. One of the critical sections of my research involves calculating the energy consumption during transmission and reception. Hence I am looking for a method to power the board using 3.3v and log the voltage and current consumption. As so I came across X-NUCLEO-LPM01A. According to its datasheet:'It can be used to supply and measure the consumption of STM32 Nucleo-32, Nucleo-64 or Nucleo-144 boards, using Arduino connectors. Alternatively, it supplies and measures the consumption of any target connected by wires via the basic connector.'My custom built board simply needs a VCC and a GND to operate. So I was wondering if X-NUCLEO-LPM01A will suffice for this project. I was not able to find any video demonstrating the same. Please advice.ThanksSujan.#power-measurement #stm32l072 #lorawan #x-nucleo-lpm01a
