Hi all,From Nucleo STM32WB55 to my own application with the same micro.I have written an application based on Cable Replacement Service from examples. I did my PCB and everything works. Now I have to add my own bootloader with cipher. Beacause of this I would like to place bootloader at the start of the flash memory and application in higher address, i.e. 0x80010000.Unfortunatelly after modification in the linker script, everything looks that preloaded BLE stack FW, can't communicate with application. This is my first STM32 project since 2013 and first with BLE so Iam not a master yet :).In theory I can change the order - APP first and Bootloader in the higher area, but any crash while upgrading firmware will block everything. What to do?RegardsMariusz D
Hello Everyone, I have brought newly launched NUCLEO-64 board which have built in LoRa SOC with STM32WL55JC2 architecture mcu. Though the board is newly launched, I am unable to find any documents or example to establish point to point lora communication between these boards. If anyone has already done this, request to guide me steps.
STM32WLE5CC REFERENCE SCHEMATIC OR DEVELOPMENT BOARD SCHEMATIC I NEED MAJORLY LORA ENABLED ANTENNA INTERFACE I AM PLANNING TO USE THIS ICS IN ONE OF MY PRODUCT. SO GUIDE ME IN HARDWARE SUPPORT
Hi,Need a support for STM32WL5CC development on Software and Hardware schematic level.
I developed a LoRa device with STM32L072RZ+SX1272MB2xAS. The device could send data every 40 s and It's working well. But the problem happened when a Lora network has devices with more than 10 nodes. The problem is sometimes devices can't send any data to a server for an hour and it happens at random times and on random devices. What is the cause of the problem and how to solve it?
Hi, I have STM32WB55CE chip and want to use stop mode or any other low power mode along with BLE + sequencer active. I tried to implement stop mode in while 1 outside sequencer. But it does not work. If I enable the LPM mode in BLE configuration part(in Cube MX part of Cube IDE), I observed that the stop mode inside sequencer works and exits from sleep, but within very less time. If we need to stop all RF activities before going to stop mode, how can we do it?Also can anybody share a document on Sequencer to understand its working?Thank you..
HiI`m investigationg the power consumption on P-NUCLEO-WB55 USB Dongle board and how to reduce it. I `m measuring the consumption with X-Nucleo-LPM01A board using STM32CubeMonitor-Power toolI`ve built and downloaded the v1.10 P2PServer project to the usb dongle with default options. FUS are BLE stack both udpated to the latestI just added BSP_LED_On(LED_RED);in PWR_EnterStopMode function to see if Cpu1 is actually entering stop mode and it is as I can verify by RED led. Here are the results whilst (1) BLE Advertising (2) Advertising stopped and no client connected(1) Approximately 16mA (2)Approximately 7.7mA As far as I understand from other posts in the forum and AN5289 (Rev4 - Chapter 4.3 Figure 6) we don`t need to implement a custom LP Handler except disabling debugger and tracing from app_conf.hAlso CPU2 has its own power manager and we should not try to force it to stop mode from CPU1.When I disabled CFG_DEBUGGER_SUPPORTED , it didn`t make any di
I'm trying to design my own LoRa application based on the End Node application example, I need to change the transmission power where exactly can I change it within the code?Another thing is that the sleeping modes are a bit confusing, I need the MCU to go into the least consuming power mode after every transmission, is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance.

Can I design a border router using the STM32WB55?I have experience building a border router with the nRF52840.
Is it possible to enable non-beacon mode for 802.15.4 Stack on STM32WB55 chips? And how it should be configured?

Hello! It will be interesting to know about reset system inside stm32wb55. I have got not casual reset schematic.Where InA is digital Isolators IC input. I also tested without this IC and result is the same. Rpu is build-in stm32wb55 pull up resistor. R13 is 360 Ohms.stm32wb55 doesnt't start! I am looking reset pin using oscilloscopeAt some moment voltage drop! It looks strange, but after 500 us there is 3.3 V on reset pin but stm32wb55 doesnt't start!I change R13 to 100 Ohms and lookHill looks strange but stm32wb55 works! Why MCU doesn't works with R13 360 Ohms?
Developing with B-L072Z-LRWAN1 LoRa®Discovery kit with sensor board and GNSS Teseo.I added an OLED ssd1306 and connected it on IC2 PB8 PB9. I can send commands but when I send data I very often get a display hang. How should I handle PB8 PB9? Should this be terminated? Is it a jumper to set on any of the 3 boards?
I am designing custom development node using stm32w55cc, for HSE crystal, part number NX2016SA-32MHZ-EXS00A-CS06654 is not available in MOUSER, DIGIKEY. Please Suggest any other Alternate crystal suitable for that
I read about ARP protocol but it needs IP address to get MAC. How i will know the IP address of neighboring devices to establish communication. We are using router for dynamic address.
Hi,using STM32WBRG, I was able to connect to the board via BLE: i installed the app "ST BLE Sensor" and then i was able to turn off/on the led. (Code generated by CubeMX). all works fine. In fact, I followed "STM32WB_workshop" proposed by ST.In the next step, i tried to add my own service (without any characteristic). The purpose is to add successfully a custom service. But, i can't connect my android app to the board. I install also LightBlue to see the different service and characteristic. But i didn't work. Not able to connect the the board. when i delete the service that i have added, all works fine. So, I am not able to added my own service. Here is the service that i have added. Note that the uuid of this service is generated by "https ://www.uuidgenerator.net".Please see the snippet code in file "custom_stm.c" where i developped the service:#include "common_blesvc.h"#include "custom_stm.h"typedef struct{ uint16_t CustomSvcHdle; /**< Service han
Hi!Basing on Ping-Pong example code from CubeIDE I made fw to test WMBUS protocol.Generally works good, but I have some issues:After transmitting data the size of RX buffer is set to size of last transmitted packet. So after transmission of short packet I receive only half of expected data. As I understood both buffers (RX and TX) are separated and can be configured independently. Is it something that needs to be configured every time I switch module to RX mode?Implementation of command Get_RxBufferStatus() (0x13) seems to be different than showed in manual. In the example code (and in the working device) I can't receive status byte showed in the manual. Is it bug/manual mistake or am I missing something? void SUBGRF_GetRxBufferStatus( uint8_t *payloadLength, uint8_t *rxStartBufferPointer ) { uint8_t status[2]; if(SUBGRF_ReadCommand( RADIO_GET_RXBUFFERSTATUS, status, 2 ) == HAL_OK) {} // In case of LORA fixed header, the payloadLength is obtained by reading // the re
Hi,I have tried to build BLE_MeshLightingLPN and BLE_MeshLightingPRFNode for my STM32WB55CG custom board and downloaded the programs into the chip with stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw installed but when i scan for devices using the ST BLE Mesh android app, i can't find any of my devices.Using other example like the BLE_HeartRate or BLE_p2pServer with the ST BLE Sensor android app, all works fine. Also, there is no any binary for the BLE_MeshLightingLPN or BLE_MeshLightingPRFNode like other examples. Does this mean these application are only for NUCLEO boards? One more thing, my board uses the LPUART port. Using these example applications, can this act as the the UART debug port when debugging is enabled in the application?I am new to all STM32 programming and still learning. Can anyone help me on how to get the BLE_Mesh demo application to run on my STM32WB55CG?
Hello,I'm using STM32WB55 for a while but I am quite new for using the different power modes. I am using the USB-VCP in order to open a virtual com port and my aim is controlling the board according to the data on the USB-VCP line. I can successfully receive and send data through this line.However, I would like to put the board into Stop1 mode when there is no data is transffered and wake up with the interrupt on this USB-VCP line. If there is a specific character 's' on this line, I can go into Stop1 mode, however, I cannot wake up the board after this step. My aim is keeping the connection and waking up the board with a specific character 'w' on USB-VCP line. Here is my receive data handler under usbd_cdc_if.c file;static int8_t CDC_Receive_FS(uint8_t* Buf, uint32_t *Len) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 6 */ USBD_CDC_SetRxBuffer(&hUsbDeviceFS, &Buf[0]); USBD_CDC_ReceivePacket(&hUsbDeviceFS); char *str = 0; if (*Buf == 's') { str = "S is pressed. Going into sleep mode\n\r";
I have a requirement for 10 services and each service contains 4 charecteristics.-currently, I have defined 10 services and characteristics. in code.-firmware starts, but when I try to connect from the app it gets stuck in void hci_cmd_resp_wait(uint32_t timeout) { UTIL_SEQ_WaitEvt(1 << CFG_IDLEEVT_HCI_CMD_EVT_RSP_ID); return; } this code. -I have also modified required definitions according#define CFG_BLE_NUM_GATT_ATTRIBUTES (129+9)#define BLE_CFG_SVC_MAX_NBR_CB 10
STM32WB55xxI am using TIM1 CH1N and CH2N to create a pulse on each pin that lasts 1000 counts. The MX_TIM1_Init() is shown below. After this is set up (along with the clock configuration), I run HAL_TIMEx_OCN_Start_IT() on each channel and I see that each pin pulses for 1000 counts. However, if I wanted to pulse the pins again, I try running HAL_TIMEx_OCN_Start_IT() again but I'm not seeing the pulse anymore. I've also tried calling HAL_TIMEx_OCN_Stop_IT() before calling Start() again but nothing happens. I know the counter is running and every time that CNT == ARR, I get a compare interrupt. The problem is that the output pin is already high when the interrupt is called (Active on matched doesn't end up doing anything). I would like to be able to set the output pin to its idle state and reset the counter so that I can control exactly when I trigger the pulse.static void MX_TIM1_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END TIM1_Init 0 */ TIM_Cl
