Hi everyone,Currently I am using Mac_802_15_4_FFD (Coordinator) application on STM32WB Nucleo board (FUS v1.1.2 & stm32wb5x_Mac_802_15_4_fw.bin flashed). Everything works perfectly. Nodes were connected and sends messages to coordinator succesfully. But I want to use this example on STM32WB USB Dongle. I flashed FUS v1.1.2 & stm32wb5x_Mac_802_15_4_fw.bin FWs on USB dongle and I downloaded Mac_802_15_4_FFD example on USB dongle. Seems everything working until FFD MAC APP - Association Requested step but there is no RECEIVE DATA : HELLO COORDINATOR & RECEIVE DATA : DATA FROM NODE messages on USB dongle. Seems like there is a connection problem on USB Dongle.I am suspect about it may cause from MCUs. Because there is STM32WB55RGV6 on Nucleo and there ise STM32WB55CGU6 on USB Dongle. Is flash addresses should be different for stacks? What should I do to run Mac_802_15_4_FFD application on STM32 USB dongle?
Hi everyone :)I'm at the first steps of building a Lora application with STM32WLE5C8 MCU. While using CubeMX to generate the code, and after defining the pinout of the chip, connectivity, and LORWAN in middleware, I opened the project in CudeIDE and tried to build it, I got :make: *** [makefile:79: TEST3.elf] Error 1 TEST3 C/C++ Problemregion `FLASH' overflowed by 484 bytes TEST3 C/C++ ProblemTEST3.elf section `.rodata' will not fit in region `FLASH' TEST3 C/C++ ProblemI still didn't start writing the Lora application, I wanted to make sure that the generated files are working correctly.I tried to make the same settings with STM32WLE55 (which has more flash and ram) and the building process seems to work just fine!Is there anything I can do to still be able to use the STM32WLE5C8 MCU?I'm new to STM32 MCU :D thanks a lot

In this doc searching for the keyword MSK I come across the following:"MSK and GMSK RX/TX with BR from 1.2 to 300 Kbit/s and TX only with BR from 0.1 to 1.2 Kbit/s""The (G)MSK and BPSK modems only supports transmission""The FSK modem with a bit rate above 1.2 kbps and a frequency deviation equal to a quarter of the bit rate, allows the MSK modulation to be used in both receive and transmit."" This MSK modulation is only available in transmit mode"The question is can I use GMSK for receive?
Hello All; I use an example code "Zigbee_OnOff_Client_Router" for Nucleo-STM32WB and "Zigbee_OnOff_Server_Coord" for Dongle-STM32WB when my coordinator lose then come back. My rounter can't send any message to coordinator. Could you please advice me?Thank you,Best regards.
We are designing a PCB based on the below products. We need the project files for the following boardsB-L475EIOT01A2C - Discovery boardNUCLEO-WL55JC - End nodeP-NUCLEO-LRWAN2 - GatewayWe are using Altium Designer. If the files are in different format, we can import them in to Altium. RegardsShaun Thirukonda
Hello,I would like to use a reset circuit with a push-button for STM32WB55 MCU. The datasheet of the MCU gives a diagram which is uploaded to the attachment. As I understand, I use just a push-button and a capacitor. VDD and pull-up resistor is involved internally. But, in many example schematics which is published by ST shows that there are a pull-up resistor and VDD connection externally. And sure, the circuit is connected by an active-low signal. So, I need a VDD with a pull-up resistor. The question is that whether I have to use a VDD connection with a pull-up resistor in the reset circuit or not necessary. Thank you,Batuhan
STM32WB. Code based on BLE heart rate example.Created a characteristic that supports both Read and Notification.Would like to update the characteristic value without sending a notification to the user. How can I do that? Thanks.
In the SubGHz_Phy_PingPong example for the Nucleo-WL55JC2 there two register reads and writes to addresses that are not documented in reference manual.0x08890x0736The reference manual (RM0453 Rev 1) and erratum (ES0500 - Rev 1) for the STM32WL55 series both do not mention these registers. However, the semtech SX1268 datasheet (Rev 1.1 June 2019) does mention these registers as part of an erratum (modulation quality with 500 kHz LoRa bandwidth and Optimizing the inverted IQ operation).Question: Does the sub-GHz radio in the STM32WL55 have the same erratum as the SX1268 for these registers?
while (1) { HAL_GPIO_WritePin(LD2_GPIO_Port, LD2_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET); if (HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(B1_GPIO_Port, B1_Pin)) { HAL_GPIO_WritePin(LD2_GPIO_Port, LD2_Pin, SET); } }}I am using the STM32 WB55 Nucleoboard, I am wondering why when I press the button on the board it doesn't light up the LED. Is something wrong with my code?
I'm using the STM32CubeIDE (Version: 1.6.1) and I've installed the package for the family STM32WB (rel 1.11.1) but into the section 'Example Selector' I don't find any example for this board. I don't understand what's the issue. What I should do for import some example to start to work correctly with this board?Regards,Giampietro
Hello!I'm trying to put my project into Stop2 mode (so it can only be woken up by 1 of 5 wakeup pins) on an STM32WB55 Nucleo board. I have an external signal that starts low and goes high to generate an interrupt. I've tried various approaches to code and I can't seem to get my code to wake it up after entering sleep mode (which I assume is happening based solely on LED outputs). Based on all the variations I've tried, I assume it's because I'm not setting up the interrupt pin correctly. Here's my *.ioc file showing that I have wakeup pin 2 (PC13) setup for my interrupt: Below is the code I'm running in main:Enter_Sleep_Mode(); Exit_Sleep_Mode();Below is the code for the above functions (with various attempts commented out to show some of the things I've tried):void Enter_Sleep_Mode(void) { BSP_LED_On(LED_RED); //HAL_EnableDBGStopMode(); /* Disable WKUP pin */ HAL_PWR_DisableWakeUpPin( PWR_WAKEUP_PIN1 ); HAL_PWR_DisableWakeUpPin( PWR_WAKEUP_PIN2 ); HAL_PWR_DisableWake
TL;DR version:Is there a way to set/check the microcontroller software embedded pack you're using (ie stm32wb55 V1.11.1)?I was working on trying to get a Stop2 Low Power mode working and was running into some issues so I checked the forum. I came across as post by @Scott Lhr that it was easy as of version 1.8. Below is the thread it discussed this (if you're interested):He had mentioned it could be done in 4 lines:LL_PWR_SetPowerMode(LL_PWR_MODE_STOP2); LL_LPM_EnableDeepSleep(); __WFI(); sysClkCfg();I tried the code but it didn't recognize the EnableDeepSleep command. I started looking through the *.h files and, sure enough, it wasn't there. I have several different package versions so I created a new project from scratch to see if it was there and it wasn't there in a recent one either. So, the question I eventually came down to was, how do I know what version I'm actually running? Can I switch between versions? I currently don't even know what framework my projects are running
Hello,I've got a device which transmits with IEEE Manchester encoding, however on the S2-LPQTR, I seem to only be able to decode GE Thomas version of Manchester encoding (inverted to IEEE). Is there a way to enable IEEE encoding? Thanks Dave
I am beginner with STM32WB board and would like to know whether only the co-processor libraries from STM should be used for the Radio core or is it possible to use third party sources for radio programming. Further I wish to do 802.15.4 programming with Zephyr RTOS. Right now, Zephyr does not support 802.15.4 for stm32wb boards. Any leads on how to port to the existing driver to this board?
Hi There.I've successfully loaded the Sigfox_AT_Slave example to my device and the AT commands work 100%.I then followed the "Personalization and activation" section in document AN5480 to get and flash the Sigfox credentials from ST.When I try to load the Sigfox credentials to the device, it responds with success, but when I query the PAC afterwards it is still the default of 0000000000000000."...SIGFOX APPLICATION READYAT$PAC0000000000000000OK..."Is there anything else that I should do afterwards to get it updated in the registers?RegardsDamion
I am building LoRaWan code using STM32CubeWL Firmware Package, which is set up for the STM32WL55. My own hardware uses the Seeed LoRa-E5 module, which uses the STM32WLE5. Code built for the STM32WL55 runs on the STM32WLE5, but I thought I should migrate properly. So far I have:(a) Changed the compiler flag from STM32WL55xx to STM32WLE5xx in Properties > C/C++ General > Paths and Symbols(b) Deleted STM32WL55JCIX_FLASH.ld and replaced it with STM32WLE5XX_FLASH.ld(c) Deleted startup_stm32wl55jcix.s and replaced it with startup_stm32wle5xx.sThe compiler raised a problem in usart.c, which I fixed by adding conditional compilation macros:#if defined(DMA_CCR_SECM) && defined(DMA_CCR_PRIV)// CGP these are defined for the STM32WL55 but not the STM32WLE5 if (HAL_DMA_ConfigChannelAttributes(&hdma_usart2_tx, DMA_CHANNEL_NPRIV) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }#endif //
We are planning to make a custom debugger using STM32WB55RG. For communication with openOCD, we have customized the DAPLink firmware. Is it possible to use STM32Cube IDE with OpenOCD as debugger for our custom board, or do we require a custom tool?
I am working on a project based on the STM32WB55VG. I am trying to use SAI Block A as a PDM interface to receive data from two digital microphones. I would also like to use SAI Block B as an I2S interface to output audio data to an amplifier. In RM0434 Figure 376, the SAI functional diagram shows two separate kernel clocks for SAI Block A and SAI Block B: However, looking at the clock tree in Figure 15, it appears that there is just one single kernel clock connected to the SAI peripheral:I would like to use two separate kernel clocks so I can support two different audio frequencies for the input and output audio paths. How do I access the separate sai_a_ker_ck and sai_b_ker_ck?
It can be code or AT commands, doesn't matter.
I know that I-CUBE-LRWAN v2.0.0 is now available, but there are still tutorials, etc, referring to the old version. The 'Debug' configuration builds OK, but the 'Release' fails with:make: *** No rule to make target '../STM32L072CZTx_FLASH.ld', needed by 'mlm32l07x01.elf'. Stop. The problem is that there is, indeed, no such file as STM32L072CZTx_FLASH.ld - only STM32L072CZYx_FLASH.ldThe 'Debug' build uses STM32L072CZYx_FLASH.ld - hence it succeeds.
Say, for example, can B-L475E-IOT01A2 Discovery kit (868 MHz) communicate (send and receive data) with multiple Grove - LoRa Radio 868MHz (https://www.seeedstudio.com/Grove-LoRa-Radio-868MHz.html).
If I click in the error it navigates me to #define RADIO_INIT MX_SUBGHZ_Init, but no function is created by CubeMX.
I'm testing this example code, and I'm having an issue with duty cycle.Duty cycle is set to ON, so it must be compliant with the regulated duty cycle limits of 1%.Actually I'm able to send messages everytime I receive the +EVT:SEND:CONFIRMED (every 5 seconds aprox.), so I think its not ok.30/04/2021 09:15:25.444 [RX] - TX on freq 867300000 Hz at DR 0<CR><LF> <CR><LF> OK<CR><LF> MAC txDone<CR><LF> RX_1 on freq 867300000 Hz at DR 0<CR><LF> MAC rxDone<CR><LF> +EVT:SEND_CONFIRMED<CR><LF> 30/04/2021 09:15:29.874 [TX] - AT+SEND=12:1:abcdef0123456789abcdef<CR><LF> 30/04/2021 09:15:29.923 [RX] - TX on freq 868500000 Hz at DR 0<CR><LF> <CR><LF> OK<CR><LF> MAC txDone<CR><LF> RX_1 on freq 868500000 Hz at DR 0<CR><LF> MAC rxDone<CR><LF> +EVT:SEND_CONFIRMED<CR><LF> 30/04/2021 09:15:34.383 [TX] - AT+SE
