We recently received our B-L072Z-LRWAN1 but are not able to run the program while batteries are plugged in. In the datasheet it says that we need to remove SB37 to accomplish this. But then I cant program it anymore? How can I use the board with battery only and still be able to program it?
Posted on December 11, 2017 at 20:21 I have removed all the solder bridges & links to minimise stray consumption. When I measure the combined current through JP3 and JP1 (ie, MCU & RF), it is ~0.87mA between Tx pulses. (SB19,14,17 are removed; JP2 is not fitted - so no current to USB_LRA) But, when I power the board from the battery, and measure the battery current, I see 1.95mA (SB18 is removed) The ST LD39050 regulator (U7) is supposed to be ''low quiescent current'': the datasheet says it should only, typically, be taking 100uA at 500mA load - so we should be nowhere near that! So where is this extra milliamp going?? EDIT To clarify: the ~0.87mA to MCU & RF is measured while powered from the battery. #current-consumption #b-l072z-lrwan1 #low-power #current Note: this post was migrated and contained many threaded conversations, some content may be missing.
As I said, I get the assertion "zigbee_app_info.colorControl_server_2 != NULL" failed error from a standard debug function in the code.I thought it could have something to do with this struct, which is a bit above it.struct ZbColorClusterConfig colorServerConfig_2 = { .callbacks = ColorServerCallbacks_2, .capabilities = ZCL_COLOR_CAP_HS, }I feel like it has to be something I have to add here because this struct is checked to be NULL, but I can't seem to find what it is I have to add.The place where the struct is set to something other than NULL is here:zigbee_app_info.colorControl_server_2 = ZbZclColorServerAlloc(zigbee_app_info.zb, SW2_ENDPOINT, zigbee_app_info.onOff_server_2, NULL, 0, &colorServerConfig_2, NULL);From what I could gather, this would allocate the space needed, but I guess something goes wrong and no memory is allocated. This error occurs every time I start a new project and add the color control cluster. So it happens even when I haven't added anything.
Do you have the updated version of material for STM32WB ZigBee intro workshop? the downloaded material is based on STM32CubeWB V.1.6.0 and most of them is not working with the current STM32CubeWB V.1.13.3.
Hello everyone,I work on a project with LSM100A whitch integrate an STM32WL55CC.I have an SDK available to start development and in this SDK, we can find debug information on LPUART 1 (PA2,PA3).For my project, i can't use LPUART1 so i have decided to use UART1 on PB6 and PB7. So i have modified SDK to transform LPUART1 configuration into UART1 config.I have this following result, only the first message is printed and in this first message missing the first letter.I have try multiple things and i think that the problem turn around interrupt but i don't have find any solution.I join my project if you want to understand better my problem.Do you have advice or maybe have you already meet this problem ?Thansk for your help,Best Regards,MLam,
I am trying to use CubeMX to set up an Output Compare Interrupt on TIM16 of STM32WB55. I do not want anything to go to an output pin I just want to generate an interrupt....Can someone tell me where I set the switch that allows this interrupt as I don't see it anywhere within the module under NVIC??? Secondly do I care about the Output Mode if I am not using an output pin??? (Not sure what Frozen means here if so)
I'm making BLE data read and write a program but several functions are unclear.Because there is an only one example regarding "ACI_Gatt_Update", I have difficulty understanding read and write gatt listed like the figure.what's the"Connection_Handle""Attr_Handle"?
I want to send ADC data to the PC using BLE.The ADC data is directly connected to the DMA,So, sending DMA data is also fine.Is there any example or source code for it?I'm using the Nucleo-WB55 board.
Hello,I have experience using Bluetooth classic profiles: SPP and A2DP.Started using STM32WB and I understand it doesn't support these two above profiles, it only has a stack for BLE. Is this correct? Can I use STM32WB with SPP and/or A2DP, if yes - how? if no - what profiles supported by the STM32WB do you recommend (to replace SPP and A2DP)?In addition, I've noticed ST has Bluetooth devices of series BlueNRG and SPBTLE: what is the difference between these two and the STM32WB?Do they support SPP and A2DPThanks,Jig
Hello, I have been testing my custom board using MCUs, Stm32WB series, these days.Actually, I successfully opened my own custom board with a functioning RF part (BLE).However, there is still an undeclared issue with new WB MCUs.When I used a new WB MCUs, the RF part (BLE) was not able to open while the other functions like GPIOs, UART, SPI, and more were totally fine. However, when I desoldered WB MCU from Nucleo board and soldered on my custom board, it was totally fine even after I upload new firmware. Is there any special step or method for setting a new Stm32WB MCU before opening RF part?I really want to solve this issue as I cannot sacrifice expensive Nucleo boards for every new project.Thank you for reading.
From AN Optimized RF board layout for STM32WL Series no recommandation are given for this frequency band.
I have followed the instructions on "Connecting STM32WB to Alexa Zigbee Hub" video tutorial. I have updated the FUS and the Zigbee stack at the last version.During the discover step the blue led go on but the Alexa doesn't recognize the STM32WB device.Do you have any suggestions for meThanksAdriano
Hello everyone, for one of my projects, I am trying to use an STM32WB55 (RGV6) to read data from the ADC and notify a phone through BLE. I have been able to read from the ADC, send the relevant data and enter shutdown mode, before waiting 64 seconds for an RTC alarm to wake up the system and start the system again. It works fine, until I try to enable the low power mode in the advertising phase. According to what I found in another question (https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000BzuU4fSQE/ble-low-power-mode-stop2), I should be able to enter STOP2 mode when entering the idle phase of the sequencer. I tried running the provided code, and a few other things to do just that, but I kept running into the same issue. First, here is the code (in app_entry.c) that I tried to enter low power modes when idling : void UTIL_SEQ_Idle( void ) { #if ( CFG_LPM_SUPPORTED == 1) UTIL_LPM_EnterLowPower(); #endif //UTIL_LPM_SetStopMode(1U << CFG_LPM_APP, UTIL_LPM_ENABLE);
Hi,I am working on a ZigBee project for the STM32WB55 which requires to send commands to all neighbours in the network. I saw in zigbee.nwk.h that I can request the entries of NeighborTable. Where can I see the max dimension of this table?I found in zigbee.zdo.h this line:/* NOTE was 64, but end up allocating too much on the stack */ #define ZB_ZDO_NEIGHBOR_LIST_MAX_SZ 4UIs that the size that I'm loonking for? If so, considering its size (too small for what I need), is there a way to overcome this limit (or can I modify it)?
Hi!I am using STM32WB to build a project and transfer data by BLE. I have tried with MATLAB to receive the data. But sometimes, MATLAB runs really slow,. Then some data are missed. Is there any software which I can use to collect my data. I need to update my data every 200 us by BLE.Best regards
HiI am working on an STM32wl project where I need to use a real time clock, I use the Utilities that I have found in one of the examples that ST provides, it is the Sequencer, Timer server and System time.I can not see if there is a smart way to save and read the current time.I can see that the Timer server uses the RTC in free running mode and therefore can not set the current time.If I set System time, and reset the stm after some time, it starts with the time I have set earlier, and not the updated time.anyone who can point me in the right direction ??
I'm designing multichannel ADC using scan conversion mode.Using HAL_ADC_Start_DMA code, the 1~9 ADC is easily saved in the DMA but. from 10, the ADC is not working and I cannot see any UART communication data. How to use ADC channel 10~16 in the Nucleo-WB55 board or is there anything I missed? In addition, is there any exam sending the row data from the WB55 board to the PC through Bluetooth?here is the code.#include "main.h"#include "stm32_seq.h"#include "string.h"#include "stdio.h"ADC_HandleTypeDef hadc1;DMA_HandleTypeDef hdma_adc1;HAL_StatusTypeDef ret;UART_HandleTypeDef huart1;ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig;float value[16];uint16_t DMA_value[16];int main(void){ HAL_Init(); MX_APPE_Config(); SystemClock_Config(); PeriphCommonClock_Config(); MX_IPCC_Init(); MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_RF_Init(); MX_RTC_Init(); MX_USB_PCD_Init(); MX_ADC1_Init(); MX_APPE_Init(); MX_APPE_Process(); HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&
I just started a project with STM32WB5MM module and STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.13.0. I implemented the BLE_Beacon example successfully. Now the question comes up if it is possible to send iBeacon and Eddystone advertisings alternating. I found a ACI_GAP_ADDITIONAL_BEACON_START function but in the latest Release Notes for the BLE stack it is stated, that this feature has been removed... So, what will be the best startpoint for such an application?
Short and simple question: Why am I getting this error? Is there something obviously wrong with the schematic?Tested all possible configurations when trying to connect. Holding boot, holding reset, nothing works. The error code changes to target not found when the supply is removed from the MCU.All the voltages around the MCU on the capacitors are right. All capacitors are near the BGA. VDDPA is 1.5V, all VDD pins are 3.3V. There is one thing which bothers me. The vref+ pin is not connected. The datasheet mentions this Pin to be connected to VDDA or Ground, nothing about a floating state. Is it impossible to flash the device when the vref+ pin is floating? Because this is the only problem i can find at the moment.Note. I have access to an X-Ray and all the pins seem to be connected properly. Thanks in advance.
Hi,We have a custom design board with external flash and we are using external flash as download area. We are getting it working with upto 64 KB using SWAP_SIZE of 2KB. But our binary is around 150 KB, we enabled SWAP_SIZE of 4KB. With this scenario, we are getting FW_SIGNATURE error on 3 out of 4 times. ( 1 time success and 4 times failure). Please share your inputs whether FW Signature and FUOTA Work flow is validated with 4KB SWAP SIZE.Thanks,Hariharan.V.
Is there any code example on how to perform the VBAT/3 measurement. I need to measure my battery level (1.8V-2.7V) which I connect to VBAT pin. VDD and the rest of the micro supply pins are coneccted to a DCDC output which gives 3.3V.
Hi!I'm trying to get a connection between the stm32f411ce and the LoRa sx1278.The first comm fails because I read 0x45 on the RegVersion register on the LoRa(which is addresed at 0x42). From the documentation I read that it should be 0x12. does anyone know if it's OK? maybe it's a sign of a fake chip? Thanks!Eyal Porat
I've downloaded STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.17.0.However in this package, there is no project code for B-L462E-CELL1, of which the MCU is an STM32L462REY6TR microcontroller. Particularly I am looking for sample code for USART communications.
Hi,I have a STM32WB55 (P-NUCLEO-WB55-NUCLEO board) Zigbee coordinator to which I am trying to join an Ikea Tradfri bulb, but I cannot get the bulb to join. The bulb locates the network but fails to join. There is a 'Transport Key' message but no 'Device Announcement' message.I have flashed the co-processor with Zigbee FFD v1.13.2 firmware.I believe I have configured the STM32WB55/coordinator as a Trust Center. My starting project was the 'Zigbee_OnOff_Server_Coord' V1.13.3 example. I have modified it to use channel 15 and I (think I) have also enabled Trust Center in APP_ZIGBEE_NwkForm: /* Using the default HA preconfigured Link Key */ memcpy(config.security.preconfiguredLinkKey, sec_key_ha, ZB_SEC_KEYSIZE); //trust centre //uint8_t trustCentreEnable = 1; ZbBdbSet(zigbee_app_info.zb, ZB_BDB_TrustCenterRequiresKeyExchange, &trustCentreEnable, sizeof(trustCentreEnable)); //uint8_t trustCentreLinkKeyMethod = BDB_LINKKEY_EXCHANGE_METHOD_APS; ZbBdbSet(zigbee_app_info.zb, ZB
Hello, I am testing two STM32WL55. I have two NUCLEO-WL55JC2 demoboards. I'm using the example code provided in the LocalNetwork_Concentrator and LocalNetwork_Sensor demos. In the basic configuration, I cannot manage to have a communication distance range of more than 1m... Do you know what the maximum ranges of these Nucleo boards? Is there a setting to configure or is it a problem with the hardware design?Thank you
