I have a custom board using the STM32WB55RCV6, I am able to generate a project that advertises the correct Bluetooth name, but I cannot connect to it. I have looked at several projects online and compared my STM32CubeMX IOC file to theirs and I do not see anything that would prevent me from connecting to the device. Any help would be much appreciated.
I 'am new to STM32WL & CAN protocol interfacing! I'm currently working with the STM32CubeMX platform & some examples are given for CAN interfacing for other variants of STM32 MCUs.But there is no CAN interfacing option available in STM32WL. So I'm unable to use the respective HAL libraries.Can anyone help me, that whether STM32WL will support CAN interfacing? If so, please share the steps to follow!Thanks in advance!
Hello ST microelectronics support team.I'm developing an IOT application using the STM32WLE5CC for gas measurement. To measure the pulses I'm thinking of using the LPTIM, but I have a doubt.In topic 26.4.14 of the RM0461 reference manual, I became aware of two ways to reset the counter, synchronous and asynchronous mode. My question is what happens to the value of the counter, when the MCU undergoes a reset, for example a reset caused by the Watchdog.I understand that after undergoing a reset, the LPTIM will be unconfigured, but in case there is no interruption in the power supply to the MCU, would it be possible that after restarting, the LPTIM will be able to continue counting from the previous value?Best Regards.
Hi,Is there any side effects of changing the RF Frequency of the Lora Modem during runtime.Radio.SetChannel(RF_FREQUENCY);Can this be used to change the frequency at runtime? Thanks
It's a board I've been using for a while, and I'm struggling loading a new stack onto it.Here are the steps I've executed:1/ powercycle2/ start FUS3/ delete image4/ powercycle5/ start FUS6/ get FUS info: FUS_IDLE | FUD_NO_ERROR | Version=1.1.1.0 | stackversion=1.13.3.2 | FUS opeatorver = 3.1.07/ erase memory to load the stack (stack full basic v1.13.3.2, address @0x080D0000)8/ firmware upgrade of the stack (with verify download enabled, and first install (tested without too))9/ ERR_IMG_NOT_FOUND.The weird part is that after a firmware delete and a powercycle, the fus still report the current stack version being v1.13.3.2. However, after checking with a getfwinfo, I get the stack_type == 0. And the SFSA is 0xF4, so only the FUS is protected, leaving the whole Flash writable for the image (which has been verified!)Can you advise?
I am using the LoRa Development board B-L072Z-LRWAN1 and it has got STM32L072CZ microcontroller and want to write FUOTA service using LORAWAN
error: no stm32 target found Stlink is ok ,i can download program to another board. As manual's configuration, I configure MB1355C(P_NNUCLEO_WB55), I can't enter dfu mode. But the usb dongle is ok. So i think usb driver is ok.There is a 'FAIL.TXT' . The content is 'The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU'. I browsed through many posts , no body can solve. When i use stm32cubeprogrammer, the error is always ' no stm32 target find'. When i refresh stlink, note' STLINK error(DEV_CONNECT_ERR). I hold reset and download, it failed. I connect boot0 to 3.3V, it failed too.I don't how to continue. Does the chip(stm32wb55rgv6) is broken?If I confirm the chip is broken, I give it up immediately.It's too torturous:face_with_tears_of_joy: .
Hi,I have designed two PCBs that use STM32WLE5C8U6. I am experiencing range problems. The communications does not exceed 15 meters of range. What is the expected range? Below is what I use to initialize the radio. I have an R0 so that I switch between LP and HP. I tried both configurations switching the R0 for various "#define TX_OUTPUT_POWER" values in 14 - 22 range. I checked with a scope to see the RF_CTRL pin of the switch goes high while transmitting. Also I measure around 1.5V in VR_PA pin. The component values I used are the same as the LP configuration in schematic provided by ST. For antenna I used a commercially sold 433MHz spiral copper antenna, also tried a custom antenna made of wrapping a transformer coil around a cylinder.Any ideas for increasing the range is appreciated. Only a 50m range would be enough for me.Regards#define TX_OUTPUT_POWER 20 /* dBm */ #define LORA_BANDWIDTH 0 /* [0: 125 kHz, 1: 250 kHz, 2: 500 kHz, 3: Reserved] */ #define LORA_SPREADING_FA
Hi, my name is Jorge.I'm currently working with an STM32WB5MMG, which has Bluetooth LE 5.2 connectivity. In the current version of the project, it's working with two Bosch sensors. The BMI088 with accelerometer and gyroscope, and the BMM150 with a magnetometer.I've been working with the sensors through SPI communication in the same SPI2 port of the MCU. The operation mode works obtaining data by a data ready interrupt. Each sensor works at a different data acquisition frequency, so it can measure data at different frequencies. The BMM150 sensor has a forced mode that allows to work at higher frequencies, so it's currently configured so it can obtain the measured data from the 3 sensors at 400Hz.The problems started when I enabled BLE on the MCU. The project works fine for a while, until it suddenly disconnects from the device connected via Bluetooth. The MCU doesn't seem to notice that it has been disconnected for a moment, so if the mobile device requests reconnection, it reconnects.
Hi,I have a wb55 nucleo and a wb55 usb dongle. The usb dongle is running zigbee onOff Server example code. However, it is using install code instead of preconfigured link key as shown below./* Using the default HA preconfigured Link Key */ //memcpy(config.security.preconfiguredLinkKey, sec_key_ha, ZB_SEC_KEYSIZE); static uint8_t installCode[ZB_SEC_INSTALL_CODE_MAX_LENGTH] = {0x83,0xFE,0xD3,0x40,0x7A,0x93,0x97,0x23,0xA5,0xC6,0x39,0xB2,0x69,0x16,0xD5,0x05,0xC3,0xB5}; static uint64_t macID = 0x0080e125000095c6; ZbSecAddDeviceLinkKeyByInstallCode(zigbee_app_info.zb, macID, installCode, ZB_SEC_INSTALL_CODE_MAX_LENGTH);I have also configured the wb55 nucleo with the right link key as follows :* Using the default HA preconfigured Link Key */ // 66B6900981E1EE3CA4206B6B861C02BB uint8_t sec_key_ha_installCode[ZB_SEC_KEYSIZE] = {0x66,0xB6,0x90,0x09,0x81,0xE1,0xEE,0x3C,0xA4,0x20,0x6B,0x6B,0x86,0x1C,0x02,0xBB}; memcpy(config.security.preconfiguredLinkKey, sec_key_ha_installCode, ZB_SEC_KEYSIZE);Ho
My purpose is to be able to send and receive serial communications using USART in asynchronous mode.When I try to adapt these kind of examples using UART_DMA in FreeRTOS, are not working. I copied the configuration regarding IRQs, DMA and USART inicializations, but it is not working. Could you please let me know if anyone else have the same problem, or could you provide me any kind of example using UART_DMA and FreeRTOS?Many thanks,
Hi! I started testing sound transmission to a smartphone using BlueVoice and noticed sound distortion.When recording speech, there are distortions, but they are not very noticeable. To check, I placed a speaker near the microphone and connected it to a signal generator at a frequency of 1.2kHz (sine).Distortions have become clearly visible.For comparison, I recorded on a computer microphone, there is no distortion. All audio files are attached.I checked it on the standard firmware ST BlueNRG-LP_LPS DK 1.2.0 - BLE_SensorDemo_BlueMSapp.OS: Android 10, App: ST BLE Sensor v. 4.14.7Please tell me how to solve this problem?Problem with audio processing or BlueVoice transmission?Thank you.P.S.A problem has been noticed that when sound is output through smartphone speakers or headphones, severe distortion occurs.There are no such distortions on the sound recording.Voice test BlueVoice: BlueVoice 1.2 kHz: PC_Mic 1.2 kHz (Normal):
Hi,Currently looking into having multiple multicast groups on an STM32WLE5, using the LoRaWAN middleware included with STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.2.0 package. When looking at "LoRaMacTypes.h" (in Middlewares/Third_Party/LoRaWAN/Mac), I came across the constant "LORAMAC_MAX_MC_CTX" which should control this, and it is currently set to "1". Right next to it, there's a comment saying: "ST_WORKAROUND: reduced LORAMAC_MAX_MC_CTX", and therefore I wonder: is it possible to increase this value, or has it been set to 1 deliberately due to some kind of issue with the STM32WLE5 chip?I tried looking at the git logs of the STM32WLE repository (can't add the link to the repository due to being a new member) but since it seems like only complete releases are uploaded there, there were no commit logs which could point me to why that comment is there in the first place.
Hello guys,I want connect to a bluetooth device/beacon from STM32WB.I've used this function to setup the connection with the device found when scanning but it won't connect to it it always print out "[BLE] Successfully Connected to Slave" and then directly"[BLE] Connection To Slave Failed"static void vConnectionRequest(eAppBleConnectionStatus __e_NewStatus) { tBleStatus result; vCNSLCTRL_SendDataToOuput(true,"[BLE] Successfully Connected to Slave\r\n"); if (_t_BleApplicationContext.e_DeviceConnectionStatus != APP_BLE_CONNECTED_CLIENT) { result = aci_gap_create_connection(0x4000, 0x4000, PUBLIC_ADDR, _au8_ScannedMacAddress, PUBLIC_ADDR, 40, 40, 0, 60, 2000 , 2000); if (result == BLE_STATUS_SUCCESS) { _t_BleApplicationContext.e_DeviceConnectionStatus = APP_BLE_LP_CONNECTING; } else { vCNSLCTRL_SendDataToOuput(true,"[BLE] Connection To Slave Failed \r\n"); } }Did i do something wrong here?

Hi.I trying to find out which BLE stack FW is installed on CPU2 at runtime. Is there any command or buffer that I can read to find out if BLE_stack_full, BLE_stack_basic or BLE_stack_light is installed?Thanks.Yair.
I want to increase the gain of my Thread device. I am trying a simple loop as follows inside a sequenced task but it never exits. The seq have the lowest prio of all.int pwr = 0; while(pwr != 4) { otPlatRadioSetTransmitPower(NULL, 4); otPlatRadioGetTransmitPower(NULL, pwr); HAL_Delay(1)}

Hello, I'm using a STM32WL55JC in dual core configuration to communicate with LoRa protocol.I'm also working on an OLED display interface using I2C communication on the same MCU.I have a working application using LoRa communication without OLED interface.The OLED interface work well also without the LoRa application.But when I join the two project, the radio init function drive me into errorhandler...After investigating I find some weird happening...First, the radio init bug occured only when I'm calling ssd1306_WriteString. But it doesn't matter what is in this function, in fact if I comment everythings in it, its still bugging... So just the fact that I'm calling it make my programm bug... May it come from parameters of the fonction ? Secondly, If I call ssd1306_WriteString before the radio init, it print what I want on the screen and when radio init happen it's bugging... But also, if I'm calling ssd1306_WriteString after radio init, it's bugging on radio init... How it can be possi
Nucleo-L073RZ board and I-Nucleo-LRWAN1 (USI module) shield - as supplied as the "Sensor" part of the P-NUCLEO-LRWAN2 kit: The documentation refers to I-CUBE-LRWAN at v1.2.2; in v2.0.0 (March 2021), the directory structure has changed somewhat.I assume the correct path for the "Sensor" node project is now:Projects\NUCLEO-L073RZ\Applications\LoRaWAN\LoRaWAN_AT_Master\STM32CubeIDE\I_NUCLEO_LRWAN1Can anyone confirm if this actually works?At the moment, mine doesn't seem to be sending any AT commands from the Nucleo board to the USI shield...
Does STM have a recommended test setup for LoraWan Class B support testing/development? I understand that the STM32WL should support Class B, but it is very difficult to find much documentation on *Gateways* that currently support Class B (beaconing, etc).Thanks!Jon
I have a network consisting of a Amazon Alexa coordinator and couple of end devices. And I need to communicate somehow between end devices directly, without coordinator. So I am trying to use APS functionality. But when I try to use the broadcast address I get an error in the terminal. Is there any example of how to do this?Also when I try to use group addressing I receive invalid argument in response (of course I made group address init as shown in Onn_Off example in repo).So if I want to create a custom cluster - how can I use group addressing or broadcasting?Is it right that this functionality of ZigBee not supported?
Hi,I am using a STM32WB55 board and its USB Dongle.I set up a ZigBee network with Messaging Cluster between them.The WB55 is the router + server, and the Dongle is the coordinator + client.I can send a Message from WB to Dongle.When I try to send data from Dongle to WB, the callback on WB is never called, even when I send the message to everyone (broadcast).What can make a Callback never activated? Best regards,CD
Hi,I am currently doing some tests measuring the battery voltage on a system using the STM32WLE5, I am measuring both v_sys and v_bat. I am running into an issue with the v_bat measurement, I am seeing alot of noise compared to the v_sys measurement. I am using a bench supply currently to prevent any fluctuations due to the supply. I have attached an image below of the plot of voltage against time, and then below that is voltage against temperature (the same data points)
When I make a timer,1 ms error happens per every 1 s.How can I revise it? I'm using Necleo-wb55 and "TIM16"The Prescaler is 31999 / 32000 (both are tested).
