Hi all, I want to do some tests to simulate "low coverage" conditions How could I quickly make the equipment transmit at less power? For example in the EU868 region limit to 10dBm instead of the 14dBm that is allowed, or in US915 to 20dBmn instead of the 22dBmBest Regards, Sergio
Hello every body,I got stuck in Flash programming of STM32WB55CEU MCU!!! and I can not find the problem.First. I implemented the stm32wb55 example FLASH_EreaseProgram on Nucleo board successfully and then I tried to port this simple program on my PCB.Ereasing working well, but it is not able to pass HAL_FLASH_Program. I mean it returns HAL_ERRORMy code:static uint32_t GetPage(uint32_t Addr) { return (Addr - FLASH_BASE) / FLASH_PAGE_SIZE;; } /** * @brief The application entry point. * @retval int */ int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END S
Hello!I need to consider the best BLE stack firmware for production and its release provided by STMicroelectronics. Is there some long term version or some release that have long term support status? Are there some plans in BLE stack firmware development that I need to consider in our production plans?Which version of BLE stack release would be the best choice for us? During last year, ST published several releases of BLE stack binaries. What I need to consider choosing BLE stack version? I am using BLE functionality of STM32WB55VG on Zephyr RTOS.Now I'm using stm32wb5x_BLE_HCILayer_fw.bin, because with stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin I had some problems, and during tests the first worked better than others.
Hello,I am using STM32WLE5CC for my project of Lorawan FUOTA Project. I wanted to do FUOTA task with my application, but I think, there would be issue of size. According to FUOTA document, Firmware max size is 84kB, and When I compile only Generated Lorawan Code (on application code added), its size is around 65kB in Optimize level 1. So only 19kB space is available for other code, which is very les for a product to develop, again Lorawan Multicast and Timing Module is not enabled in this firmware, which also consumes memory.I need at least 35kB for my custom application code. So, how could I achieve FUOTA, in my application, is there any way to reduce Lorawan stack size or any other Lorawan Library for lowering Memory footprint.Thank You
I''m working on STM32WL55 series microcontroller and I want to use KEIL IDE,Please let me know does keil support STM32WL55 for FREE
Hello guys,I was inspecting the design files of the Nucleo board and could not understand the use of the capacitor used for the TCXO. In the image attached (nucelo design schematic file), a note says that the C31 is used in order to avoid stubs on XTA path when the same capacitor is not placed. I don't understand what it means, could someone help please?
Hello,So I already downloaded the Lorawan_End_Node example into my Nucleo board and I could see how it works with the TeraTerm terminal. However, now I'm trying to generate a new code from the .ioc file with the CubeMX (I only added the debugger option and defined regional configuration for EU868). I had some problems in the beginning because it seems that the CubeMX does not generate the BSP driver files (I read this in another question in this forum). So I coppied the BSP folder into my drivers folder of the project and added the ".extSettings" with the modified path to this same drivers folder in the project. Now the project could be built and downloaded/debugged.Can anyone confirm if this was well done?Anyway, this seemed to make the trick, but the code does not still work. When I run it into my board the code stops working before ending the first try to join. See next image:The join failed message never appears and the code is stuck at here: It seems it is waiting for an inter

Hi, Everyone. I have encountered a problem in using BLE with STM32WB55CG. I made custom STM32WB55CG board and the schematic is below. When I was testing the functions of the MCU, there was an abnormality in the BLE function. All other peripherals worked well. When I put the code on NUCLEO WB55, BLE worked normally, but when I put it on my board, the BLE didn't work.I'm using 2450AT43B100 chip antenna from Johanson. Will be greatly appreciated if anyone can help me to solve this frustrating problem.
HI all,I tried change option bytes for STM32WB55 in code, and probably something went wrong when I did this. After programming MCU I found that my flash was probably be blocked:How can I unblock FLASH? I tried change security config options in STM32CubeProgrammer, used CLI, used DFU mode but It didn not help. In all the time I have error:STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=swd -ob SFSA=0xcb ------------------------------------------------------------------- STM32CubeProgrammer v2.4.0 ------------------------------------------------------------------- ST-LINK SN : 066FFF393738425043065240 ST-LINK FW : V2J35M26 Voltage : 3.27V SWD freq : 4000 KHz Connect mode: Normal Reset mode : Software reset Device ID : 0x495 Device name : STM32WB55xx Flash size : 1 MBytes Device type : MCU Device CPU : Cortex-M0+/M4 UPLOADING OPTION BYTES DATA ... I'm planning to use 2052 bytes per packet (ATT-MTU-2052) and I want to know if it is possible. So. here is a question. What's the maximum ATT-MTU and minimum connection interval of WB55 with BLE 5.2?
Has anyone else seen this?I have never seen such a problem in years of debugging with EWARM and STM32's through sleep modes: using source and project files that debug fine with EWARM 9.20.2, now with 9.20.4, the IAR IDE is hung on the ST LINK driver as shown in the attached screen shot. IDE is unresponsive until I cause an EXTIO to wake the STM32WB from STOP2. I reported this first to IAR, but the engineer responding to me, Dave, keeps asking for logs, and as you can see from the screen shot, nothing interesting is getting logged. so the IAR support seems to be at an impasse.
Hi,I wanted to ask if there is a variant of the STM32WB5MMG planned in the near future (~1 year) with a MHF4/IPEX1 antenna connector instead of the integrated one. There are some cases where it is useful to move the antenna (for instance because of a metal case). Thanks
step1: I upgrade the firmware 1.2.0 and flash the wireless stack "stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin " .step2: Rebuild all files and flash the board with the executable file.step3: Power On MB1293C and download the ST_BLE_Sensor. But i can't find the HRSTM in the device list.
-The MCU is running well but The Bluetooth is disconnected from the Application. and then restarts the application. BT connects with the App.-is this a hardware side issue or an application issue? Please share your best knowledge.#STM32WB #BT #BLE #BLE_Disconnetcted Thanks Sagar
All video materials are shared on GitHub repository:In this tutorial, 2 STM32 micro-controllers are communicating together using RYLR998 LoRa Module. RYLR998 interfaced over UART and its AT commands are explained in details.https://youtu.be/SqHOaU0ZsxA
Hi,I tried to generate a new project follow SubGHZ_Phy_PingPong example project which does nothing, to test the stop mode with RTC. When I active the stop mode, the current consumption is around 1mA, which still is far away from the consumption mentioned in the datasheet. (In the stop mode, I already configure all GPIO to Analog no pull mode). How to fix this? Please recommend for me some solution. Thank you.my MCU is STM32WLE5CBU6
Hi,Our project adopt stm32wb35cc, since we need to measure usb diagram,so we do like to consult that how to active usb test mode?any document describe that?I found a function USBD_RunTestMode(), but it's empty and do nothing?is't need to implement code of USBD_RunTestMode() for eye diagram? Thanks~
Hi there,I am using an STM32WLE and I am trying to reduce my Standby mode current consumption. I am currently drawing around 800nA, while the datasheet says I should be drawing about 450nA. One potential cause of excess current is the LSI running for the IWDG (~100-150nA). I have set up the option byte IWDG_STDBY to freeze the IWDG in Standby mode. Does this option byte disable the IWDG (and therefore the LSI) in Standby mode or just freeze the counter? Some of the IWDG registers in RM0461 say they are reset by Standby mode (KR, RLR, WINR), but not others (SR). The PR register doesn't specify. Does this mean the IWDG continues running through a Standby mode exit? And if so, does it lose the previous set up?Any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated. :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes: Thanks,Rebecca
I Have updated the Dongle's fuses to 1.2.0 version. I did a successful test with the example of transparent mode and the monitor RF. Now I'm trying to use it as Server in a p2p example and it doesn't works. To discard, I flash it again with the example of the transparaent mode and I now I can't conect with monitor RF giving me the following pop-up.Is it that the Dongle is broken? I tryed programming on it the heartrate example and it didn't work.If I read the fuses it response fine:
I want to have 4 diveces as peripherals, each of one with a button, that they comunicate the button state to a 5th device (a Central) in a determinated period of time. The peripfherals should turn off the anttena (or save battery us much as they can) until it is the time to send the button state again. I've already see the STM32WB Getting Started Series form youtube, was very helpfull but now I need somthing more advanced.
Hello,The MCU used in our project is STM32WBCEU (LQFP48).I am going to download the BL stack binary in the form of Firmware Upgrade through STMProgrammer >> FUS page. The problem is that I face a "Wrong address" error.Where can I find the Start address for my MCU???It should be noted that its the first install.hank you very much in advance for your response.
Very new but excited to start an IoT project here. I have a WL55JC1 and IKS01A3. I followed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9s8XiABakuQa and managed to get some widgets connected to Cayenne dashboard, but I can't add anymore widget as devices are greyed out - is there a tutorial how to add additional sensor widgets through CubeIDE or MX etc?
Hello!I have a question - I'm working on interfacing with the STM32WB5M module on the B-U585I-IOT02A. From what I understand, the STM32WB5M module is already flashed with an example for AT commands (in the STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.13.3/Projects/P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo/Applications/BLE/BLE_MultiAppAt).I was hoping to be able to create a STM32 project for the B-U585I-IOT02A board without flashing anything to the STM32WB5M module. For now, I just wanted to be able to send an AT command according to the AN5379 application notes and receive some sort of info back from the module. If there is a way to do this, or if I have some conceptual error, please let me know!Thank you,Jake U.
See attached clocking setup. When I run this, BLE is unreliable. I am running STM32WB55CGU6 in server/peripheral mode. For example, sometimes on power up advertising is occurring and sometimes it does not. And if advertising does work, connecting from my smart phone almost never works. If I change CPU1 to 32MHz, it works great every time and is 100% reliable. I want to run CPU1 at 16MHz to save battery life. I can't run CPU1 any lower because I am running 5 channel ADC DMA constantly at 400kHz sample rate (5x400kHz is 2MHz sample rate for ADC). Is 16MHz on CPU just too slow with all this DMA to SRAM activity? Note that DMA is active but CPU is not doing anything during this time, except servicing BLE.
