In 5.5.3 FSK modemBR = 32 x HSE32_freq / BitRate where HSE32_freq = 32 MHzFdev = Fdev[Hz] / FreqStep where FreqStep = HSE32_freq / 2^25The document then states that to ensure correct modulation the following limit applies: (Fdev + BR/2) < BWIn the Semtech document the limit is given as: (2*Fdev + BR) < BWWhat is the correct limit?Does BW above actually refer to the values in the BW[DSB] column of Table 28 (also Semtech SX126x DS Table 6-4)?The bandwidth must be chose so that:BW[DSB] >= BR + 2 x frequency deviation + frequency errorShould the BR here be BitRate , and not the BR parameter which is referenced to the HSE32 frequency?
Question1) is there a way to input the needed "commisioning" data (that the STAssetTracking app would do via BLE) into the ASTRA and start the OTAA for lorawan?Question2) is there an application note for the above question? or some other doc (already re-read UM3019)?
STM32WB55 as a central (client)Sending ACI_GAP_SEND_PAIRING_REQ and getting ACI_GAP_PAIRING_COMPLETE_EVENT with failed. reason: AUTH_REQ_CANNOT_BE_MET.As I matched all the other settings to the server(peripheral) device settings. Was curious if the OOB feature might be failing it? How can I disable OOB ?From your documentation AN5270:ACI_GAP_SET_AUTHENTICATION_REQUIREMENT Description Set the authentication requirements for the device. If the OOB_Enable is set to 0, the following 16 octets of OOB_Data are ignored on reception. This command has to be given only when the device is not in a connected state.but the command does not have OOB_Enable parameter.tBleStatus aci_gap_set_authentication_requirement( uint8_t Bonding_Mode, uint8_t MITM_Mode, uint8_t SC_Support, uint8_t KeyPress_Notification_Support, uint8_t Min_Encryption_Key_Size, uint8_t Max_Encryption_Key_Size, uint8_t Use_Fixed_Pin, uint32_t Fixed_Pin, uint8_t Identity_Address_Type );The device I am trying to connect:M
I am using the stm32wb55 as a Central. When pairing to my server, I encounter long pairing times.About 80 seconds from the moment I send the passkey to the time I get paired complete event..(I have no errors in the pairing complete event)I did not have this issue with my previous device. Pairing has always been done quickly. Please tell me if I might be doing something wrong. What might be prolonging the process?
Hello,I developed an application to automate the programming of the STM32B55xx, since I have a batch of more than 10000 parts. I used the documents AN5185 and UM2237 as a basis. For this product, I am using FUS version v1.2.0 and the "stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin" stack version v1.14.0.However, the programming time takes more than 60 seconds when it is necessary to update the FUS, program the stack and the application firmware. I implemented a verification to detect the FUS version so that there is no need to update if the version is already the desired one, but it still takes more than 45 seconds to program the stack and the application firmware. The application uses less than 100kB of flash, and I noticed that what takes the most time are the various core resets that FUS performs during its update and stack programming. Therefore, I believe that migrating from a ST-LINK V2 to a ST-LINK V3 would not help in this case.In production, I perform two steps. The first is to program the F
I want 120bytes per notification, I want 120bytes per notification, but I can only reach 20bytes with stm32cubemonitor-rf monitoring. The following picture is what I mainly modified in the program:Am I going wrong somewhere?
15bytes per notificaiton, interval about 7.5ms120bytes per notification, interval about 30msI want to change 30ms to 10ms. How can I do?
Right now, I'm focusing on increasing ADC channel.I assembled the STM32WB55VG microcontroller and 8:1 mux.The mux is contolled by three GPIO pin for [2:0] encoding to select channel. The output of mux is connected to the ADC and I can see the ADC data using DMA.If I select one channel in the mux, I can collect data exactly. However, if I operate the mux with switching channel (I gave ~1 ms of interval for each channel), the most recent channel data is filled to the previous channel (last channel data only appears in all the channel data).I know that the microcontroller has single ADC and multiple channel itself and it works very well when I use scan conversion mode. It imply that there is a very quick reset state in the ADC to restart measurement for next channel. So, I wonder how can I force to reset ADC measurement for the next channel in the coding and whether it is possible.
The problem can be simplyfied to this code:int startFlag = 0;void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin){ startFlag = 1;}int main(){ if(startFlag== 1){ //crashes at first iteration (Hard_Fault_Handler) int *test = malloc(sizeof(int)); }}But this works like a intened:int main(){ int *test = malloc(sizeof(int));}I really dont see the obvious issue here. I made sure that the Callback function is completly finished and also tried it with " volatile int startFlag = 0;" but it didn't help. Can someone help me?
How can I change the interval of ble notification (in C/S frame)?
I have an STM32WB that is configured in central, it connects to 8 devices in peripherals mode at the same time. This configuration works well, but from time to time the BLE stack does not respond, I see 8 peripherals disconnected and I do not receive any event from the central stack. When I try to reconnect on the central side, the stack does not respond.Have you ever had feedback on this kind of problem?Sincerely,
Hi community,I have devices with own firmware in which I use also the BLE_OTA app with slight modifications to upload updates to my own firmware. Initially I used the app from ST to update the firmware. Then I created a tool in Python for Windows, Linux and macOS to update the firmware. This worked relatively up to a certain point. Before a month, I started creating an application in Bluetooth Web API to do firmware updates. In my first tests, I noticed that it was quite common for the BLE_OTA application to crash for unknown reasons when uploading firmware. In my case, FUS and BLE Stack were version 1.2.0. I did tests on the original version (without my modifications) of BLE_OTA and the same thing. Further on in the BLE_OTA code I ran Watchdog (IWDG) which saves the situation a bit, because at least now I don't have to disconnect power and reconnect as the problem occurs. I'm also doing tests with the tracer running via USB, but I can't catch where the problem lies because t

Is the ble server notification interval at least 7.5ms?Can I reduce it?If the throughput is not enough and the notification interval can only be as low as 7.5ms?Am I the only way to increase the amount of data per notification (for example, from 15bytes to 150bytes).
Hello, I recently bought an STM32WL55JC2 board (nucleo). I have downloaded the STM32 IDE.When I connect the card in USB directly to my pc there are three LEDS that blink successively (red green blue).I can build my project (empty) on STM32IDE on both cores.Except that I have the error NO ST LINK DETECTED.I tried to change debugger but nothing to do.I also tried to install STLINK via the ST site but it does not change. In the USB device manager I see that "ADB interface".In the ST folder I tried to install the STLINK driver but it does not change my error.Should I buy a debugger in addition to the card? Thanks
I want to use an external multiplexer to increase the number of ADC but switching speed is one of concern.Fortunately, some multiplexer has a 13 ns switching speed (~100 MHz) and I'm planning to switch it using a GPIO signal. However, it arises concerned on the switching speed of the GPIO pin also. What is the switching speed of a GPIO pin for STM32WB55 microcontroller?
I would like to know if I can use X-NUCLEO-CCA02M2 to input speech audio and X-NUCLEO-CCA01M1 for speech audio output?
I use my own board (as ble server) to notify the client, each notification is 120 bytes, I found that I can only transmit 30 per second. Actually my requirement is 100 transfers per second.Do I need to modify anything?
I had thought about the 5G that is present in my city but I don't know if it is a good idea. I would also need to receive the audio and video signal. is it possible to make?
I am getting this event upon sending : ACI_GATT_EXCHANGE_CONFIGI can't understand why I am getting it. What procedure is complete?According to AN5270 I should not get it for that command.
Hello, I just received my WL55JC2 card and I would like to blink one of the leds on the card with a very simple line of code but I don't understand why it doesn't work. I noticed that the led was pinned on the GPIOB which was not enabled in the generation of my code. Here are some screenshots to help me. Thanks
Hello,The datasheet for STM32WLE5xx states, that this series is capable of OTA firmware update, however I am not able to find any resources on how do perform it. The only document that shows up is the AN5554 application note on firmware update over the air (FUOTA), but it's only applicable to dual-core STM32WL55xx series, and not single-core STM32WLE5xx.Is there an error in the datasheet? If not, I would greatly appreciate any pointers/resources on how to perform OTA for STM32WLE5xx series.
In my application, I need to put the MCU in a low-power mode and wake it up periodically (ashttps://community.st.com/s/article/how-to-configure-the-rtc-to-wake-up-the-stm32-periodically-from-low-power-modes). The MCU is connected to a sensor. While the sensor is collecting data, the MCU is in a low-power mode. The modes I tested my code with are SLEEP, LPSLEEP, and STOP2. The wakeup source is RTC.LSI1 is said to be less power-hungry compared to LSE, which is why I would prefer to use it. When I select LSI1 as a source for RTC, I cannot reset the MCU using an external button connected to the NRST pin (only turning the power on and off restarts it). When LSE is used, the MCU operates as expected. In RM0434, it is said that LSI is available in all the above modes.I was not able to find the root of the problem. I would appreciate it if you could provide me with any suggestions on how to better explore this issue (which registers' content to check, I assume; probably, RCC_CSR and RCC_BDCR).
