Hello, I'm Marco, HW developer.Scenario: two Nucleo WB15CC transmit both a sawtooth into the Nucleo WB55 USB dongle with BLE protocol. With a proper SW we can see the two sawtooth in the GUI. The Nucleos WB15 should be replaced with custom HW with small size and few components.Omitting details I can say the HW is not working with the same firmware, so I need to test the HW in other way.Can you suggest me something to test BLE transmission and if the mcu is running? The firmware is written with Keil and debug is not running properly for some reason, and I don't have enough SW skills, so I need a more simple way to see if mcu is transmitting data. Thanks
Hello guys, I have this situation where when I use the LoRa protocol in my application, the RTC stops working and vice-versa. Anyone have an idea of what could be causing it and the solution for the problem?
I'm working on a BLE application which uses a pair of BLE characteristics to transfer packets of data (similar to a cable replacement service). I believe I have followed the recommendations in AN5289 8.6.9 to mazimize throughput. When I read packets from the STM32WB device from a PC, using the 1M PHY, I get a transfer rate of about 40 kB/s, which seems pretty good. Looking at the transfer in Wireshark, I get the capture attached here as "read.7z".However, when I write packets to the STM32WB device from a PC, I get a transfer rate of about 2 kB/s. The Wireshark capture for this transfer is attached as "write.7z".On the central side, I'm using a TP-Link USB500 Bluetooth adapter and a Python script using Bleak for the BLE interface. I've run the script both on Windows 10 and on Ubuntu 22.04 with the same results. On the device side, I'm using an STM32WB5MMG with a custom CRS profile.Looking at messages when the connection is being established, the adapter requests an MTU of 527, and the STM
Hi there, I explored the attribute reporting topic based on my initial question, which you can find here: [link]. I gained a better understanding of how the feature operates.Currently, in my setup, the Client pretends to be a Zigbee End device, and the Server acts as a Zigbee Coordinator with simulated or dummy RMS Voltage and Current values. I've configured Attribute Reporting on the End Device side (Client). So, whenever there's a change in attributes on the Server side (Coordinator), it reports to the Client. (Check the attachments for the Client and Server applications.) #1 Objective:My goal is to have the Zigbee Coordinator (acting as the Client) fetch Voltage and Current attribute data from the Zigbee End device (acting as the Server). Despite trying various combinations, I faced challenges and haven't succeeded.I would be grateful if you could take a look at my attachments and offer suggestions on how to move forward to accomplish #1. Could you also pr
Hello , I'm using the Nucleo-WL55JC1 in my project as Gateway and End-devices.The SW Works well and it communicate properly, but i have problem with the RANGE between the Gateway and the End-device.Know when I change the Antenna I can communicate with 300metres as range , but i like to achieve more distances like 1Km or +Actual SW Params :SP = 12TxPower = 22dbBandwidth = 125khz.How can I increase the range , in SW or HW side ?Thank you in advance.
Hello,I'm interested in using one of the STM32WL chips for a telemetry board. I need this board to be as small as reasonably possible. I am trying to decide on a way to program it and (optionally) have a way for it to connect to a laptop via usb. Ideally, I would be able to use on USB port for both firmware updates and serial communication, but it appears that the STM32WLE5C8U6 doesn't support DFU. What would be the most optimal (spacewise) solution to both program and USB interface with the STM32WLE5C8U6? I am fine adding a USB to UART or any other necessary chips. Also, what is the most compact solution for only exposing a programming interface (no USB needed) / what is the minimum surface area needed to be able to program the chip using the STLINK?
Hi,is it safe to interface a WB55 via USB and simultaneously power it via the 5V pin from some external batteries? The battery-voltage I use is limited to 5V. I have some concerns about bricking some electronics due to multiple grounding. Are there some safety measures in place against it?
Hello,I'm trying to flash \STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.18.0\Projects\STM32WB_Copro_Wireless_Binaries\STM32WB1x\stm32wb1x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin at address 0x08021000 with SMTCubProgrammer version 2.14.0I think that it is unsuccessful, and the application BL2_p2pClient failed to run.10:24:05:288 : Reconnected !10:24:05:288 : Success with Time elapsed during Reconnect: 1172 ms10:24:05:288 : r ap 0 @0x20002F04 0x00000004 bytes Data 0x410FC24110:24:05:288 : fail @0x0000000110:24:05:288 : Warning: FUS_STATE_ERR_UNKNOWN10:24:05:288 : r ap 0 @0x20002F04 0x00000004 bytes Data 0x410FC24110:24:05:288 : fail @0x00000001 I have also encountered the same error "failed to reconnect after starting FUS operator"and I have read the post "Problem FUS when I try to load BLE Stack on STM32WB15xx" from JCALD.1To follow instruction in "https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Connectivity:STM32WB_BLE_Hardware_Setup", I need a FUS file, but I did not find anything for STM32WB15CC in \STM32
I'm thinking of adding NVM functionality to Zigbee_custom_ls_Client_Router with p-nucleo-WB55. You may be able to receive it, but it will take too long. Please let me know if there is a possible cause.
Hi I am creating my own Zigbee sensor, where i have add support for it in Zigbee2MQTT, however I am not sure on how the set the STM32WB up to automatic report its measured temperature values up?I can select the endpoint, cluster, attributes i want to read from the STM32WB from Zigbee2MQTT and get the correct value, but im not sure what to use for setting it up, when the STM32WB join my network.I make this call to save the value for it to read, but how to i report it. I want it to be updated every 5 second?status = ZbZclAttrIntegerWrite(zigbee_app_info.temperature_meas_server_1, ZCL_TEMP_MEAS_ATTR_MEAS_VAL, i16CurrentTemperature); The STM32WB is setup as an enddevice, with temperature as a server. Best regards K-Fischer
Though, I was able to run the point-to-point communication using the SubG_Phy ping-pong example using the STM32CubeIDE programmer with the STM32WL55JC1 board. However, if I just enable a GPIO port (making any minor changes in the configuration) to the same SubG_Phy ping pong example, the whole code is regenerated to include the configuration changes to the code and it produces a lot of errors stating that "User to provide its board definitions". Only by just enabling a single GPIO port \ I am getting these many errors. I tried many debugging tips like resetting, deleting the debug folder before running the program, restarting the whole project and IDE like for other projects, and replacing the radio. c and radio_driver.c files in the Middleware folder (as the errors were from these files) with the original radio.c and radio_driver.c files (before the changes). I tried my best to remove the errors and to run the program again, as the end goal is to successfull
Hi,I´m trying to port the example from above to my custom sensor board and use ZigBee2MQTT together with this board. You can find the code in the attachments. The board connects via ZigBee, but can not report the config[M4 APPLICATION] ZbStartup Callback (status = 0x00)[M4 APPLICATION] [TEMP MEAS] Report Config Failed error:148[M4 APPLICATION] APP_ZIGBEE_Init[M4 APPLICATION] **********************************************************[M4 APPLICATION] WIRELESS COPROCESSOR FW:[M4 APPLICATION] VERSION ID = 1.17.0[M4 APPLICATION] FW Type : FFD Zigbee stack[M4 APPLICATION] Application flashed: ..[M4 APPLICATION] Channel used: 11[M4 APPLICATION] Link Key: ZigBeeAlliance09[M4 APPLICATION] Link Key value: 5a 69 67 42 65 65 41 6c 6c 69 61 6e 63 65 30 39[M4 APPLICATION] Clusters allocated are:[M4 APPLICATION] Temperature measurement Client on Endpoint 17[M4 APPLICATION] **********************************************************[M0] [00000000.000][API] Init_ZigbeeStack_Infrastructure[M4 APPLICATION]
I'm using a micro stm32wl55 (RAK3172). I try to shut it down using shutdown mode. By turning it off without ever using the PWR_SUBGHZSPICR command, the micro turns on and off regularly with the expected consumption. However, if I activate the PWR_SUBGHZSPICR command even just once, after the shutdown the consumption remains high and I can no longer turn it off completely. Could you give me a solution? Thank you
Hi,i am working on stm32wb55 nucleo board.I want to read data form one location of internal flash e.g 0x08047000 and write into the other location e.g 0x08007000.i found there is HAL_FLASH_Program API available to write data into internal flash but i can't found any API for read data from flash memory. Can you please help to how can i read data from the internal flash?please provide me if any example code is available.Regards,Arjun
Hi, I'm currently developing for the STM32WB15CC. During code generation with CubxMX, Under the "BLE Applications and Services -> Server Mode", the option for "Custom Template" is missing when FreeRTOS(CMSIS_V2) is enabled. This option is present when disabled. can I just copy the configuration generated without the RTOS enabled and paste into my RTOS enabled project? Thanks in advance.
Whenever I plug my Nucleo WB55 into my PC via USB, a Drive opens with some basic info about the Board. While this may be helpful at the beginning I don't want that this opens up everytime I plug it in. Is there a way to disable this behaviour in the firmware?
Hello everyone. I started developing a zigbee zigbee application on a custom PCB, and since I don't need that much space I used the STM32WB55CC MCU. Everything went great until I had all components planted and wanted to update the zigbee stack when I realized that in the release notes there is no address for updating the Zigbee stack in the 256k MCUs. Does this mean the 256k devices don't support zigbee? Or is there a way I can update the stack on it.Thanks! :)
I am currently encountering difficulties with my P-NUCLEO-LRWAN3 board. It is worth noting that the board used to work flawlessly; however, it has recently encountered connectivity problems. Despite meticulously following the recommended setup procedures, the board fails to establish a connection to the server, and there is no output on the virtual COM port( CN1 ) upon pressing the reset button.Upon connecting a USB cable, a file is automatically opened with the following information:Version: 0221 Build: Jun 23 2017 17:43:45To provide additional context, I'd like to highlight that during power-up, the P-NUCLEO-LRWAN3 board appears to be in a working condition as indicated by the illumination of the green LED LD6 (PWR) and LD4 (COM) on the Nucleo board. Simultaneously, the green LED on the gateway shield is also illuminated.I have thoroughly checked the hardware connections, power supply, firmware, and COM port settings, ensuring their correctness and currency. Moreover, I have ver
Hello,I hope this message finds you well. I am currently managing over eight Zigbee devices connected to one Coordinator in a star topology fashion (8 or more End devices to one Coordinator). However, the manual procedure for flashing new firmware is proving to be time-consuming. Consequently, I have decided to implement Zigbee OTA clusters to facilitate over-the-air firmware updates.Regrettably, I am facing challenges in finding comprehensive guidance on this matter. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in providing examples or references related to OTA clusters.Thank you in advance for your support.Best regards,Naani Ch
I found the DMA request mapping of the F4 series on ST's official website. With this form, I can configure DMA on zephyr. My problem is that I cannot find the DMA request mapping of STM32WBA52CG. Can you provide me with one? Thank you.The device tree file requires channel and request parameters.
ADS1219 Data SheetHello, I am attempting to communicate with TI's ADS1219 via I2C from a STM32WL55JCI, I know the I2C works becuase I can use the same line to write/read from a FRAM chip. Unfortunately, the ADS1219 communication always results in a HAL_FAIL status.No matter if I send a reset commandHAL_I2C_Master_Transmit(&hi2c2, 0x80, 0x06, 2, 10); Or if I probe the device.HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady(&hi2c2, 0x08, 10, 20)Can anyone offer any insight?
Hi,I am a bit confused about re-join request process on the lora STM32WL. I want to make my end node will join request to the gateway for five times when the join accepted process is not happening. After five times the join request process and end node failed to join accepted, then the system enters stop 2 mode (idle by default firmware package STM32WL).Is there any reference or information about it ? Maybe, how to implement my need on LoRaWAN End Node STM32WL program ?I really appreciate your attention, thank you.
Hello I have two STM Nucleo-WL55JC2 boards. I have tried running the SubGHz_Phy_PingPong example and it works flawlessly. When observed using TeraTerm, I am only able to see the RSSI and the SNR values. I also need to observe the latency of this communication (The time taken for the transmitted message to be received). Kindly guide me through on how I could modify the SubGHz_Phy_PingPong example in order to observe this. I am using STM32CubeIDE. Thank You
Hi, we are using stm32wb55 board for wearable project. logs on serial port are fine when we flashed simple hello world program in loop. But when flashed the application menu developed by us we are seeing some junk value all the time. we are setting the baud rate to 115200. Please somebody help to resolve this issue.ThanksRudraswamy
Hello, I am trying to figure out a root cause for a weird unexplainable error on STM32WB with BLE Stack. In our application, we have BLE stack fully functional, but every now and then, when we make a small change, like adding a debug line, APPE_SysUserEvtRx callback function doesn't receive a SHCI_SUB_EVT_CODE_READY event. If we move the change couple of lines down, some times this works, some time it doesn't. Its really very frustrating, as I have not been able to figure out what is causing this issue?Any help/pointer is much appreciated. Thanks
