Hello,We are in the process of developing a smart meter that will feature dual communication capabilities supporting both Wireless M-Bus (wMbus) and LoRaWAN. Our aim is to use a single chip for this purpose, with the advantage of sharing the same antenna. In this setup, LoRaWAN takes precedence over wMbus in terms of priority. For selecting suitable components for this project, we are considering chipsets that offer integration of both wMbus and LoRaWAN functionalities. Additionally, we are looking for antennas that provide optimal performance across the frequency bands used by both protocols.Could you please suggest specific chipsets and antennas that align with these requirements?Thank you.
Hello,I'm using BLE_p2pClient and BLE_p2pServer programs.I had pairing request in BLE_p2pClient to have both devices bonded. Now, I want to have a fast connection between client and server; actually, the connection between client and server is about 2.5 seconds.I should like not to have to discover again and again services and characteristics of the server by the client at each re-connection. Only once when the program starts. How to do that?Have you documentation descriving this? (I have only found PM0271 §5.1.2).I have activated the SHCI_C2_BLE_INIT_OPTIONS_GATT_CACHING_USED in CFG_BLE_OPTIONS to initialize the BLE stack. But it is not sufficent!Thank you for your help.Best regards. FWX.
Hi ST Community,I'm using the B-L475E-IOT01 card and I want to use the X-CUBE-BLE1 middleware to send information directly to a variable (something I was thinking of doing simply with this application). Only, when I run it and try to debug, I'm having trouble understanding what the program is doing (I'm not a Bluetooth Low Energy expert) but I can't detect the card from the ST BLE Toolbox application. Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance!
I am trying to load the p2p server example and noticed my Nucleo-WB15CC doesn't do any bluetooth communication. I can run normal user code just fine (LEDs, GPIO etc.) but CPU2 doesn't seem to do anything. When I try to start FUS, I get this:When I try to read the FUS version, I just get this:Here is the output of some STM32ProgrammerCLI commands:.\STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=SWD -fusopgetversion FUS Operator Version : v3.1.0 fusopgetversion command execution finished .\STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=SWD -fusgetstate FUS_STATE_IDLE getFUSstate command execution finished .\STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=SWD -startfus Reconnecting... Greetings,I have a question regarding the reference design MB1389-WL55JC-highband-E02_Schematic (https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/layouts_and_diagrams/schematic_pack/group1/2e/e5/94/2a/d7/46/48/57/MB1389-WL55JC-highband-E02_Schematic/files/MB1389-WL55JC-highband-E02_Schematic.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.MB1389-WL55JC-highband-E02_Schematic.pdf).The MCU has two RF outputs, one for high power and another for low power. Both outputs connect to an RF switch through identical filter schematics, but with different component values.I have a few questions. If these filters are frequency-related, why do the values differ when both ports are supposed to output the same frequency? I simulated both schematics for the 800-900MHz range (attached), and the difference is only 1 dBm.Could you please advise on why the components in each filter scheme are different?Additionally, the MCU datasheet's Sub-GHz radio characteristics section states that "All RF impedances matched using ref

Hello,I have STM32WB5MM-DK evaluation kit and I am trying to get example Zigbee_OnOff_Client_Router working. I updated FUS (v. 1.2.0) and Zigbee FFD (v.1.18.0). Example do not work, I get an error "Fatal Error" on terminal and display:[M4 APPLICATION] APP_ZIGBEE_Init[M4 APPLICATION] **********************************************************[M4 APPLICATION] WIRELESS COPROCESSOR FW:[M4 APPLICATION] VERSION ID = 1.18.0[M4 APPLICATION] **** Fatal error = ERROR Unknown (Err = 0)I debugged application and I found that error comes on this point (stm32_seq.c)/* Execute the task */TaskCb[CurrentTaskIdx]( );Any idea, what could be wrong? I tested all other zigbee examples also and all have the same error. I am using latest Stm32CubeIde.
I have a problem with my wireless stack which was fixed by unplugging and pluggin back in my NUCLEO-WB55. Everything was working well for many months, but I recently tried downloading the ST example project BLE_DataThroughput (from the STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.18 package via the dialog in STM32CubeIDE). Since then, the program would get stuck because the Wireless stack was not started, then I tried starting the stack manually in STM32CubeProgrammer and it would start but then get stuck at getting a response from the Wireless stack. We are using B-L072Z-LRWAN1 Discovery kit for testing the range of LORA network. We have purchased 2 numbers of B-L072Z-LRWAN1 Discovery kits. We are using the factory default firmware provided with the kits. We have observed that the kits can communicate with each other only upto 100 meters. But as per the kits datasheet, we should get ranges of up to a dozen kilometers. We are testing the devices in city environment. Are we doing anything wrong? Is there any way to get the range as specified in the kit datasheets (over ranges of up to a dozen kilometers)?Kit 1 is powered with USB connector CN7.Kit 2 is powered with three AA 1.5V batteries. (SB37 removed to release the RESET).
I am a new developer on STM32WB10 and I do not succeed to drastically decrease power consumption in standby mode. Commands for main CPU in order to lower consumption seems to be OK but the CPU2 for BLE seems to be always active.LL_C2_PWR_SetPowerMode(LL_PWR_MODE_SHUTDOWN) does not work while CPU2 is running but I cannot find the way to stop the CPU2. I read that hci_reset could help but it is not the case. Please help me about the sequence to use in order to properly stop CPU2 and decrease power consumption.
Hello everyone,I'm seeking your guidance regarding the substitution of 0402 inductors with 0603 in the NUCLEO-WL5JC MB1389 high band schematics (https://www.st.com/resource/en/schematic_pack/mb1389-wl55jc-highband-e02_schematic.pdf). In the RF section of the schematics, there are 0402 (highlighted in Red inside attached sheet) power inductors from Murata. I have chosen the replacement in 0603 (highlighted Blue) accordingly. However, only two inductors have slightly lower specifications (highlighted in gray-red). I would appreciate your advice on whether the specifications of the selected inductor would be suitable for this application. (LQW15AN3N6C10 -> LQW18AN3N6D00 and LQW15AN3N0B00 -> LQW18AN3N0C8ZD)
Hello,I am using STM32WB55RW (MCU) + muRata module(LBAD0XX1SC-DM) in my custom HW.X-CUBE-CELLULAR expansion package is available for STM32Cube but its contain example project for L4 series (STM32L462REY6TR).Can you please share sample code if anyone has done with WB55 series?OrAny guide/note like how to convert L4 series example for WB55? Thanks.
When I run the application, all three LEDs are toggling in cyclic fashion and according to the note, this is an error condition. I checked the message from serial port and I am getting the following[0m[M4 APPLICATION] WIRELESS COPROCESSOR FW:[0m[M4 APPLICATION] VERSION ID = 1.12.0[0m[M4 APPLICATION] **** Fatal error = ERROR Unknown (Err = 0)What could have gone wrong? Also, is there any way the application can know what RF stack is currently loaded into the M0 controller. Thank you for your time.
Hello, during testing Zigbee_OnOff_Client_SED example, hard fault in time of joining network happen, when logging with ZB_LOG_MASK_LEVEL_3 or higher is configured. With ZB_LOG_MASK_LEVEL_2 or lower example works fine.Hard fault analyzer report PRECISERR with BFAR 0x280027. Origin seems to be in the ZbLogPrintf (see attached screenshot with stack). Because it's library, it's out of my range. Depth, lqi, pjoin values are reported weird. See next log. Any suggestion, except keeping log mask level low? Thanks, Slavomir Tomascik ZIGBEE Application Init StackLayers Init (startupMode = 3) Adding endpoint 17 (0x11), profile = 0x0104, mem = 108 ********************************************************** Network config : CENTRALIZED END DEVICE Application Flashed : Zigbee OnOff Client . Hi,I'm having an error after powering the MCU, it looks like the CPU2 with the BLE stack it's not restarting. The error occurs when I stop advertising, the BLE status is APP_BLE_IDLE and I turn off the board. When I power-up the board and do the BLE initialization process, the CPU2 looks like it's not answering to the commands. If a software reset occurs with BLE status equal to APP_BLE_IDLE, the systems starts correctly. How can I tell the CPU2 to reset?Best,Pablo
Hello, testing Zigbee_OnOff_Client_SED on P-NUCLEO-WB55. Sources are from version 1.18.0, same as installed stm32wb5x_Zigbee_FFD_fw.bin. Almost no changes to source files except modification channelmask to WPAN_CHANNELMASK_2400MHZ.After a while (random inteval) device send following debug message, and device can't find network anymore:[M0] [0;92m[00007009.694][LLD] !! ip802154_lld_exitSleep() FAILED : LLD state before 2 - time before 2714719056 - sleepTimeStatus 1 - wakeUpStatus 149 - default state after 99 (1) - LLD state after 2 Does anybody have a clue? Hello, I would like you to help me to communicate two microcontrollers (The B-L072Z-LRWAN1 Discovery kit LoRa/Sigfox module (Murata) using Lorawan, I was researching and looking at some libraries that were an expansion for Lorawan. But I don't know how to use them. I was trying to get the USART to work but I couldn't get it to transmit information. I don't know if anyone knows where I can start. Also if I need to use the libraries to communicate the microprocessors or if I can communicate without using the libraries, thanks.
Hello,Can someone tell if BLE stack in STM32WB chipset support QUUPPA application ? I expect it is the case for the latest STM32WBA?Thanks
Hey, everybody!I looked at the Release Notes for the STM32WBxx Copro Wireless Binaries and kind of did everything according to the manual.stm32wb5x_FUS_fw.bin -> 0x0809A000, tm32wb5x_Zigbee_FFD... -> 0x0804C000. However, after flashing the controller behaves unstable and sometimes shows FUS_ERROR, FUS_NOT_RUNNING. And after a repeated attempt to read FUS everything normalizes. Then I tried to use the example ZigBee_OnOff_Server_Coord, but nothing is transmitted via UART and there is no connection with the working Nucleo STM32WB55RGV6. The channels are set up correctly and I think it's ZigBee not working and I messed up something with the FUS. Also WB Commands are now unavailable to me.
Hi,it is ok to call hci_user_evt_proc function (STM32WB), from an interrupt, for example SysTick_Handler ?Best,s.mateusz
Hi all,Im trying to load the stack onto the custom board. I've done it for both Nucleo board and dongle. I use Nucleo board with SWCLK, SWDD, RST, GND, 3V3. I think Ive managed to program FUS as it shows the correct number and it starts. Ive been trying to program the stack for a long time, with different configuration, but no luck. Every single time it is unsuccessful. A weird thing is that it shows the stack number 1.18 but Im almost 100% that it wasn't successful. I have followed the tutorials, datasheets, yt videos and nothing. I can program that mcu, it blinks leds etc. But I cant use Zigbee. Please, help me.
