Greetings!I have a problem with using a slider on my custom board.When I use "int: Slider adjustment confirmed", then everything works well, but I can’t get the data change while the slider is moving. As soon as I turn on "int: Slider value changed", the processor falls out in hardfault_handler. Where to look the problem?
Hi,I have a problem when I want to make a widget visible.This code works :myStructure test; widget.setVisible(test.state); // test.state = bool widget.invalidate();But this code doesn't work :Container widget; myStructure test; switch (index) { case 0: widget = myWidget1; break; ... } widget.setVisible(test.state); // test.state = bool widget.invalidate();Do you have any idea why the second code doesn't work ?
Hi,Following situation:I have a 480x272 display in portrait mode.(1) In TouchGFXDesigner the 0/0 point is top left with x-axis in horizontal and y-axis vertical down.(2) The expected (by the TouchGFX Framework) touch coordinates are 0/0 top right with x-axis vertical down and y-axis horizontal to the left.(3) My Touch controller has 0/0 bottom left with x-axis vertical up and y-axis horizontal to the right.So now I can't figure out how this translates to the calibration class.- The calibration points: Do they base on (1),(2) or (3)?- Measured points for calibration matrix: Do they base on (1),(2) or (3)?- Measured points for "sampleTouch" function: Do they base on (1),(2) or (3)?Thanks for your help./jimmii
Hello..How to implement double click/double tap on STM32L4R9AI-EVAL board
I need to know which interface I should use. It's for a display which is going to be used in hospitals. Have used other displays with other board as ESP32 for example connected through SPI.The question is, is it worth using a TOUCHGFX with STM32 if I have never used it? Is it too much learning for just one project?
Hi,I want to use an image but it takes up a lot of space in FLASH memory when I add it.Example:Image size ------ (no image) ---- 7.55 KB -------- 2.38 KB (same picture but compressed)FLASH (free) ---- 811.97KB ----- 385.55 KB ----- 385.55 KB(Instead of) -------------------------- 804.42 KB ----- 809.59 KBI don't understand why...Do you have the same problem?Best Regards
I am setting up a custom board for the STM32F743 and only the first 18% or so of the screen is being displayed. The rest is garbage.. If I write directly to the framebuffer, the LTDC does write out to the display, so I know my SDRAM and LTDC are configured and functioning properly. I suspect a TouchGFX configuration issue and am wondering if the AT for the STM32H743-EVAL v3.0.0 will be available soon?
I've got a complex program running on the STM32H743 using LTDC to drive a VGA monitor, FMC for a SDRAM, and USB host to a keyboard. This works perfectly on the "Y" version of the chip.On the "V" chip it works but the LTDC output is less stable and the monitor occasionally drops sync. Both chips are running at 400MHz on identical PCBs. The LTDC framebuffer is in the 512Mb internal memory section. The effect is replicated with different chips. There is nothing in AN5312 that could explain the issue. The code is using the latest HAL libraries.Looking on the scope you can see jitter on the sync pulses. Even more bizarrely the jitter is data dependent. the higher the VGA intensity level displayed (bigger numbers in the framebuffer) the more likely jitter is to occur. The size of the effect is highly dependent on the PLL setting of both the processor clock and the LTDC clock. It seems like on the "V" part the PLLs are much less stable than on the "Y" and can be knocked out of sync by various
I have just spent two days configuring STM32F746GDISCOVERY graphic application via CUBEMX an finally get it work. So I'm sharing my steps.It is written for dummies like me =)Many thanks to Martin Kjeldsen for background information.There are DOCx, RARed images, ioc file and whole project in the attachmments.Edit: I should have mentioned that all the code added to main.c and other settings are from project generated by TouchGFX Designer.Edit2: QUAD SPI is not configured corretly, here is the roght configuration in the video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=237lPdMsDZs
Hello..How to use single frame buffer in STM32L4R9AI-EVAL board
Now I need to download a jpg/png/bmp picture to FLASH, and show it . I do not find touchgfx have anything with that. If I want to use touchgfx, how can I do?
Hello!I have created a new folder. It's called sensor. In this folder I put a .c and .h file.I also modified the Makefile this way:components := TouchGFX/gui target TouchGFX/generated/gui_generated sensorBut I get the following error:Compiling Core/Src/main.cppCore/Src/main.cpp:63:27: fatal error: sensor/bmp180.h: No such file or directory #include "sensor/bmp180.h" ^compilation terminated.gcc/Makefile:360: recipe for target 'TouchGFX/build/ST/STM32F769I-DISCO/Core/Src/main.o' failedmake[2]: *** [TouchGFX/build/ST/STM32F769I-DISCO/Core/Src/main.o] Error 1gcc/Makefile:327: recipe for target 'generate_assets' failedmake[1]: *** [generate_assets] Error 2../gcc/Makefile:45: recipe for target 'all' failedmake: *** [all] Error 2Can you tell me how to make it work?Thank you very much!
I have a working F429 CubeIDE project that I want to switch from 16BPP to 8BPP, I changed:static LCD16bpp display; to static LCD8bpp_ARGB2222 display;and when I run the application I fall into Hard Fault when the application calls HAL::initialize().Any idea what could be wrong?Thanks
I am looking for solution for selecting a skin for my application screen view. All components will have thesame position and size but I need to change coresponding bitmaps with this components. I need a solution which will work similar to selection of language.I am not expert in TouhGfx but I wonder if it is possible to replace a bitmp data base and select between pointer for each containig differen list of bitmaps?
Hi,Is there someone has the experience about MJPEG with AVI format?I have try the CubeMX Source Code from STM32H743-EVAL, but it won`t work.I can display the First Frame and Second Frame, but after that it will keep showing this two Frame till the AVI is all parsed.The source code include AVI Parser,Decode with DMA then DMA2D to LCD panel, it seems right for AVI & Interrupt Priority, so I`m not sure others is correct or not. Hope someone can help!Really appreciate!
Hi,We have successfully integrated Segger's emWin_PNG library (https://www.segger.com/downloads/emwin/emWin_PNG) with STemWin on STM32H7 series MCU. Segger License agreement shown during emWin_PNG library download has below wording which might be an issue integrating this library into an embedded product.3. License Grant The licensee (YOU) will receive the software as object code and some tools in executable code from SEGGER. YOU may use the code for evaluation purposes only. You may not use or port the software on another platform other than a PC, use, port or embed it in a product or for any commercial purposes without entering a separate License Agreement.My understanding is that emWin library and windows tools packaged with STMCube are licensed under ST's SLA0044. But this does not include emWin_PNG library. Can ST please guide us on this issue and suggest how can be comply with emWin_PNG License agreement on a commercial embedded product where PNG library code is distributed in ob
HI,I'm New to C++,and I'm trying to using TouchGFX for my interface UI Demo,Now I'm trying to creat a Text Wigdet total by code,and make is to supprot TFT files,other than use the Designer to draw and creat a string list.That is,write someting like "printf" and then it show message on the LCD screen.How could I start to handle this work!? Thanks.if I use my own tag ,it will auto removed by designer,Wish for you help!
Hi,I just started playing with STM32 tools and boards for my university thesis. Work would revolve around live video processing on an stm mcu. I am in possession of an stm32f746 discovery board, and was trying to hook up a camera (ov 7670) to it.But, i wanted to route the dcmi pins out on the arduino styled connector on the back for ease of debugging and because i dont have a 0.5mm ffc cable to interface to the included camera port.Can this be done? by right clicking the corresponding pins in cubemx i cannot find how to assign dcmi functions to some pins, and others only have a "locked" function (eg PI1 can only be assigned to DCMI_D8). Is this an hardware limitation or am i doing something wrong?
I downloaded the graph widget from https://github.com/touchgfx/touchgfx-open-repository/tree/master/widgets/Graph. When I open this project in TouchGFX I get make[1]: *** No rule to make target 'generated/images/include/BitmapDatabase.hpp', needed by '_assets_'. Stop. simulator/gcc/Makefile:68: recipe for target 'assets' failed make: *** [assets] Error 2I have a STM32F769I-Disco board.
Please explain how the RGB 222 mode works for the STM32L4P5. Are descriptions of this mode available in application notes?
HI,I have a stm32f769 custom board having 800*480 resolution RGB LCD. i am using tsc2003 touchscreen driver. i am able to port touchgfx and coulkd generate screens which are getting displayed without any issue. now i am trying to configure the touchscreen driver. i am getting the raw adc values using my driver and able to poll them in sampletouch(). Now i need to calibrate the touch and i used the touchcalibration class methods namely setCalibrationMatrix(). I provided the necessary lcd calib points and raw touch values to set the matrix but i could see the y axis values are coming reverse after calling translatePoint(). Can you please assist me to resolve the same. i have provided proper lcd calib points as well as touch points as per the general rule of /* 10%, 10% */ - /* 90%, 50% */ - /* 50%, 90% */ but always the y axis has issue.i am using 4.12.3 version of touchgfx came with stm32cubemx 5.5 ()
Hello,I found this bug that caused a lot of problems until I found it out.Adding action in Desginer will reset all button numbers to blank.I wondered long time why buttons do not work anymore and why they keep resetting to blanks.How to recreate:Create screenCreate interaction(s) that has hardware button with number N mapped to some actionAdd (or remove) action to this screenNow all of the hardware button number N's have been resetted to nothing -> this will cause buttons to not work anymore until you painstakingly remap all of buttons. If you add(or remove) another action, you will need to remap all your buttons again and again everytime.EDIT: Problem appears also with objects. So instead of step 3, add object (line, container, image etc.) and hardware button mappings will be reset to 0.
Hi everyone,I'm using the STM32F429 discovery board which comes with an LCD display. I tried out some example keil projects and also made some projects on TouchGFX software with hardware integration. All was working fine. I also have a different display(ST7282 display controller-does not require any initialization) of 480*272 resolution with me and wanted to interface that to the discovery board. But TouchGFX wont let me select a different resolution after selecting STM32F429. How do I add this new display? What all files I have to modify in the generated C project? I read the article on Changing to a different display. But it didn't help. Can someone help me?
Helllo!I use development board with F769 and 32-bit sdramI see artifacts - stripes on both sides of picturesArtifacts a dissapear when I use 16 bit SDRAM mode. Artifacts are disappear then I use RBG565But I want 32-bit SDRAM and RGB888What I try to do - I try to work without touchGFXvoid STFT_FillRectangle(uint16_t x1, uint16_t y1, uint16_t x2, uint16_t y2, uint32_t color) { #define swap(a,b) {int16_t t=a;a=b;b=t;} if(x1>x2) swap(x1,x2); if(y1>y2) swap(y1,y2); uint32_t addr=0; SCB_CleanDCache(); addr = 0xD0000000 + 3*(y1*hltdc.LayerCfg[0].ImageWidth+x1); hdma2d.Init.Mode = DMA2D_R2M; hdma2d.Init.OutputOffset = hltdc.LayerCfg[0].ImageWidth - (x2-x1); if(HAL_DMA2D_Init(&hdma2d) == HAL_OK) { if(HAL_DMA2D_Start_IT(&hdma2d, color, addr, x2-x1, y2-y1) == HAL_OK) { HAL_DMA2D_PollForTransfer(&hdma2d, 10); } } SCB_InvalidateDCache(); }But artifacts (stripes) still present.What can I see in memory, when I try to fill by color 0x000
While running of resistive display,some oscillations on the texts appeared on the screenSometimes noise came on display.I have attached the video that shows the display noiseCapacitive touch parameters(Vsync,Hsync) have been used for Resistive touch screenIs there any difference in Resistive and capacitive screen sync parameters ?And what could be the reason for the display noise on screen while running .Display Init parameters in touchGfx hardware Lcd init codeHorizontalSync = 40;VerticalSync = 9;AccumulatedHBP = 53;AccumulatedVBP = 11;AccumulatedActiveW = 533;AccumulatedActiveH = 283;TotalWidth = 565;TotalHeigh = 285;
