HiI've configured automatically from IOC timer TIM16 as it is more basic timer and I need basic funcionality: do some action on timer interrupt, I use HAL driver, but handler is never called.initialisation is simple:void MX_TIM16_Init(void){/* USER CODE BEGIN TIM16_Init 0 *//* USER CODE END TIM16_Init 0 *//* USER CODE BEGIN TIM16_Init 1 *//* USER CODE END TIM16_Init 1 */htim16.Instance = TIM16;htim16.Init.Prescaler = 511;htim16.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP;htim16.Init.Period = 50000;htim16.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1;htim16.Init.RepetitionCounter = 0;htim16.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_ENABLE;if (HAL_TIM_Base_Init(&htim16) != HAL_OK){Error_Handler();}/* USER CODE BEGIN TIM16_Init 2 *//* USER CODE END TIM16_Init 2 */}Timer is running , I can see it's changing value when read. It's set to reload periodicaly, it does that,  interrupt is enabled, given higher priority than others, just in case. Vector table is properly initialised. But i

Hi,I have a relatively easy question for the OpenStLinux I guess.I have a correctly prepared sdk image with QT (bitbake -k st-example-image-qt and bitbake -k st-example-image-qt -c populate_sdk) but can't correctly configure weston. I have a similar configuration to the official STM32MP135DK2 with a slight difference, 24 RGB interface. My display working correctly, I can see wallpaper and play mp4, so the driver and system are configured correctly. When I try to execute my application I get something like   QStandardPaths: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set, defaulting to '/tmp/runtime-root' [ 1] Failed to open device: No such file or directory, Try again... Dear All,I would like to update old projects from workbench 5.Y.2 to workbench 6.1.1. I am using custom board. With 5.Y.2 I can configure the custom board, but with 6.1.1 I'm not able to configure my board. How can I solve the problem?

I am porting the STMPE811 Drive used in STM32F429 With the STM32H750B-DK to interface 7 Inch Resistive touch with the board, Have any one Ported it previously?

Hi,So I'm using the ST25SDK to create an app. I managed to detect my USB Reader and detect tags from it. But I am wondering if there is a way to chose which reader to use if several are connected by USB.Also, I cannot find a way to connect to an ethernet reader. The demo app (ST25PC002) there seems to be that possibility, but only using a ST Reader, not Feig (the only readers I have underhand are Feig MR101 USB and ethernet). And it seems to use a JNI interface and a specific implementation of RFGenericReader that overload the connect method to add the IP as a parameter. I cannot find any reference to that overloaded method in the SDK javadoc. Does the SDK handle ethernet reader easily ? for either ST or Feig readers ?Thank you for your help

Hi ~I'm using STM32MP157C MPU with my custom board and trying to modify u-boot for my board. https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_cross-compile_with_the_Distribution_Package#Modifying_the_U-BootThis wiki article has been describe about "Modifying the U-boot".Adding simple log like the example works fine. But, If I try to change u-boot prompt string using "make menuconfig"it seems like that changed prompt string didn't apply. How to solve it?Thanks.

Hi, i had a problem when i try to implement a bare metal code for STM32WLE5JC for GFSK modulation. The sync word in the reference manual of the MCU state that begin from registers SUBGHZ_GSYNCR0 - SUBGHZ_GSYNCR7 (Addresses:0x06C7 - 0x06C0), so it can be up to 8 bytes with the first byte start from SUBGHZ_GSYNCR0(0x06C7). But it not worked for me until i open SX126x datasheet which state the opposite, so GSYNCR0 - GSYNCR7 (Addresses:0x06C0 - 0x06C7) which is worked. I mention it here for someone else which may have the same problem.

Hi;I want to use ST25R3918 for a project. However when I cheacked its website from https://www.st.com/en/nfc/st25r3918.html#tools-software I was able to find a library for ST25R3916, but not for 18. I have cheacked different websites but couldn't find an example or document for ST25R3918. Where can i find some documentations/examples for ST25R3918? Can I use ST25R3916 documentations and examples for ST25R3918?Thank you.

In my custom board equipped with STM32WB15CCU6 MCU the BLE P2P client application does not work. I'm currenty using the BLE stack full version 1.15 flashed at address 0x08021000. I do not have LSE crystal therefore I use HSE for RTC wakeup (configured as suggested in the application "Configuring STM32WB for Bluetooth LE without an LSE crystal"). I'm able to discover the server because the event HCI_LE_ADVERTISING_REPORT_SUBEVT_CODE is fired but the function aci_gap_create_connection does not quit because M4 application stuck at UTIL_SEQ_WaitEvt (see image). Activating CPU2 debugging through GPIO I can see that after calling aci_gap_create_connection the event BLE_STACK_TICK is non more fired; probably the CPU2 core enter some loop code. In addition, the SYS_CMD_PROCESS event is set (the command is correctly interpreted by the BLE Stack) but it is no more reset therefore the command is not completed by the stack: this is why the M4 application is locked. Can someone help me to solve this

I am adding EEPROM emulation using the x-cube-eeprom package. On program startup I am calling EE_Init and I have traced the code through the checks for the flash to be used being erased, which it is. However, when the first element is written, the flash write fails. The error I see returned is "EE_WRITE_ERROR" in "SetPageState."The package is being used on an STM32G070 Cube project. Perhaps I am missing some set up, I followed the instructions in AN4894 to set the user defines. Is there more setup required in CubeMx?Sid

Hi, I was very disappointed to note that STM32H743VIT6 is not pin compatible with STM32F407VGT6 in the LQFP100 enclosure. It would be nice if MCU F7 and H7 could replace F4, without having to redo the PCB board again.

Hi,I'm looking to understand the core of the USB Host library, so I thought of trying to update an old project (See: BTstack Port for STM32 USB for details), from the time when there was no STM32CubeIDE (as demonstrated here). The project was created with CubeMX, used the Eclipse IDE, and compiled using Makefile. So it shouldn't be too difficult to update, the issue is that the project is of the Wireless Controller class (Base address 0xE0).I found an old post (year 2014), where this Class is operated within the CDC communication, which seemed strange to me.''Does the Android phone tether over USB?Android tethering is based on RNDIS protocol (subclass of CDC, by MS)''Yes it does: pphost->device_prop.Itf_Desc[0] has 0xE0, 0x01, 0x03(Class: 0xE0; SubClass: 0x01; Protocol: 0x03)But the USB-IF defines the class 0xE0 as Wireless Controller,In the SubClass 0x01 it has the ProtocolsBluetooth Programming Interface for value 0x01UWB Radio Control Interface for 0x02Remote NDIS for value 0

I made an application that uses burst DMA on T2 of an STM32F407VET6 to create morse code pulses as a challenge for Burst DMA..My strategy is to write to ARR, the reserved register in between and CCR1 to make pulses of various width and duty cycle as 1 burst. This works as long as I trigger my DMA with LL_TIM_EnableDMAReq_CC1, once I change to LL_TIM_EnableDMAReq_UPDATE dma does not longer kick in and registers stay the same.I wonder why?(IMHO Update comes every time T2 reaches ARR and goes to 0, so T2 should trigger a burst from the dma to fill TIMx_ARR, the reserved register and CCR1 as well. Attached detailed case file with scope printscreens and source code.)

Hi, I'm having trouble getting around the USB port stuck issue on the STM32F407VGT6, so I'm looking to get to know the STM32H743VIT6. The problem is that I believed that the clock of this STM32H743VIT6 was 480MHz, but the generator says it has to be below 200MHz. Is this correct?

I'm running CubeIDE version: 1.12.1 on an Apple Mac (OSx).My board is a STM32f769i-DISCO.I've configured the code as given in numerous examples and I can printf() without issue to an external serial port monitor. The serial monitor is one integrated into the Arduino IDE. What ever I print, appears correctly in this monitor.I've selected SWV in the debug config, selected the appropriate CPU clock, setup to monitor the port, checked 1 and 2, and hit the red button. I do this prior to hitting 'debug'. I see nothing in SWV, I repeat the test again, this time using Arduino IDE, I see the data correctly sent.I assume if I use a different serial monitor, this will alao work. Why is SWV not working in this case? I'd like to use the integrated SWV rather than another serial monitor program.Regards,Steve.

Hello Team,I debug STM32F405 on my custom PCB using nucleo board and STLink utility software. Now, I have added a digital isolator on my PCB , and the STM32F405 MCU is powered by the isolated  3.3v supply & ground  of the isolator. Now, the Nucleo board is connected to the PC USB supply and ground  and on other hand  onboard STM32F405 MCU is connected with the isolated power supply and ground . Will the nucleo board able to debug the onboard MCU with while both having different supply and ground?

Hi .  I like to use 25MHZ external crystal oscillator in Nucleo-F411RE board.   Is it possible to use that or I have to use 8 MHZ crytal  .  İf it is possible can I directly solder it to X3 and use it or I have to change capacitors etc.. for this operation. Thanks

Can anyone confirm if temperature measurement is functional on the LSM303AGR? I have everything else up and working just fine with measurements over several weeks, but temperature just return 0x00 for Hi and Lo byte. This is the third generation LSM303 I'm working with, but first time I'm totally stuck!!! What to do???I follow The data sheet from august 2022, paragraph 4.5 and have read all other developers problem on this site who are stuck the same way as I am!!Thanx :)Hans-HenrikPS I have also been trying to do polling of TDA on STATUS_REG_AUX_A. TDA will never be high(1) to indicate a new value - so it will just stuck

All these functions have one problem, let's say in this function HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&huart4, data,5);the third parameter is the number of transmitted characters. If you enter more or less characters in the COM port of the terminal than specified in the HAL_UART_Receive_IT function, then various reception problems begin. Either there is no data reception or the function works several times and combines different data transfers into one array. My code may not be entirely correct, but it works and shows what the problem is.//main.c#include <stdio.h>extern uint8_t data[5]; void HAL_UARTEx_RxEventCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart, uint16_t Size){printf("%s\n", data);}while (1){HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_IT (&huart4, data,5);}//stm32f4xx_it.cuint8_t data[5]={0};void UART4_IRQHandler(void){ HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_IT (&huart4, data,5); HAL_UART_IRQHandler(&huart4);}Enter less than 5 characters or more than 5 characters into the COM port terminal.

I checked a few manuals. RM0432 explains memory mapping but it does not mention how to connect LCD, what address to send data and command. I have 800 x 480 pixel LCD with 16 bit data bus.I think the problem might be with the address to send command and data. I am using STM32L4Q5RGT6this is I am trying to send command*(__IO uint32_t *)(0x60000000) = command;for data;*(__IO uint32_t *)(0x60040000) = data;there is something wrong with the address or maybe it should be*(__IO uint16_t *)(0x60040000) = data;this is the beginning of LCD initialization:  LCD_WR_REG(0xF000); LCD_WR_DATA(0x55);      LCD_WR_REG(0xF001); LCD_WR_DATA(0xAA);      LCD_WR_REG(0xF002); LCD_WR_DATA(0x52);      LCD_WR_REG(0xF003); LCD_WR_DATA(0x08);      LCD_WR_REG(0xF004); LCD_WR_DATA(0x01);

Hi there,I've been having difficulty trying to make the DAC channel 1 output 3.3v. The largest voltage that the DAC outputs is 2.56 volts which I measured with an oscilloscope. I try to set the output voltage to be higher with the following code snippet but the DAC doesn't output anything higher than 2.56 volts.HAL_DAC_SetValue(&hdac, DAC_CHANNEL_1, DAC_ALIGN_12B_R, 4000); I am using the stm32cube ide and there isn't many much I can configure for the DAC. I don't know if this is a configuration issue or a hardware issue.
