Solved

Hi everyone, I'm running into issues with setting up my STM32F746g-discovery board to pass 4 values from its ADC to the DMA. I've debugged this for hours and have been unable to find a solution. All of the pins I'm using (and their corresponding ADC ports) work fine on their own without scan mode and DMA enabled, but as soon as I enable scan mode, no values are printed to my adcValues[4] array. I've attached my main.c file for anyone who would be kind enough to have a look and tell me what (likely obvious) mistake I have made. I've got some other stuff in there, but I'm assuming it's simply an initialization error (although after debugging for so long, I'm not so sure). Clock is at 200Mhz. GPIO pins are configured for analog read and correspond to PA0, PF10, PF9 and PF8.If downloading the main.c is too much, here are some snippets of my main loop to give an idea: #include "main.h"ADC_HandleTypeDef hadc3;DMA_HandleTypeDef hdma_adc3;CRC_HandleTypeDef hcrc;DMA2D_HandleTypeDef hd

I am trying to validate a new board layout and am looking for the minimal configuration to read accel data.I'm using SPI.  When the WHO_AM_I register of the LSM6DSR is queried, the correct response of 0x6B is returned.I take that as validation of the at least the layout and soldering.Looking at AN5358 "Mode 1 - Reading output data" the minimum configuration is to write 0x60 to CTRL1_XL (0x10U), section 4.1. Enabling an ODR of 416 Hz at +/- 2g.AN5358 in section 4.2 then indicates read STATUS_REG until the LSB, which is XLDA, is set. That bit is never getting set.  Why? STATUS_REG always reads as zero.

Hi, i want to convert my generated .elf file to .stldr file. I need a stldr file for CubeMX programmer, so that i can use it to program my external flash memory(write, erase, read). I have seen in the video from ST about external loader, that the ST-employee had used the following command in stm32Cube IDE to convert elf file to .stldr file: cmd.exe /C copy/Y “${BuildArtifactFileBaseName}.elf” “..\STM32L4P5_MX25L12833F.stldr”Sadly, this command doesn't work on my case. It rather provokes errors when i compile. I use the following STM32CubeIDE:  STM32CubeIDE 1.11.2

Today I tried migrating our projects to the new STM32CubeIDE release. One thing I noticed is that whenever MPU is enabled, it generates redundant function prototype static void MPU_Initialize(void); in main.c which generates a warning when -Wall is enabled. This function is not even implemented, it seems that only MPU_Config(); is called. Steps to reproduce: it is enough to create a new project (I tried for STM32H723VG MCU), enable MPU and this prototype is generated. Here is the build info:I think it is a bug in the code generation.EDIT: There already was a post about this yesterday, sorry I could not find it https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubeide-mcu/stm32cubeide-v1-13-0-compile-warning/td-p/573573

https://community.st.com/t5/forums/postpage/board-id/mcu-boards-hardware-tools-forum# STM32H743 has QSPI_IOs not in High Impedance Mode when Configured as InputHi Everyone,I am trying to use the QUADSPI Block 2 on the STM32H743. The QUADSPI_BK2_IO0 to IO3 are connected to PE7 to PE10 ont LQFP-144 package (I am using the Nucleo-H743ZI2).However, when I put the QUADSPI Peripheral into indirect read mode, the QUADSPI_BK2_IO0 Pin is not high impedance, and when shorted with a Digital Multimeter to 3V3, I measure about 100 to 200 mA of current. In normal operation, this causes my slave device (which is an ADC) to drop it's logic level to about 1V, as it has an internal LDO an can only supply 10mA per pin with transients of up to 100 mA.Why does the QUADSPI_BK2_IO0 not stay in High-Impedance-Mode, even though it is configured as an input? My QUADSPI_CCR register is not 0x00000000, so 2.9.3 from the errata sheet is not an issue. It is however 0, except for three values: for DCYC which is 0

Hi,The LPF2 filter on the IIS3DWB can set the cutoff frequency to ODR/4, ODR/10, ODR/20, etc. Figure 6 in the datasheet "Frequency response with LPF2 enabled" shows the bandwidth when LPF2 is set to ODR/4 to be 5.6 kHz. Is this correct? ODR/4 would put the cutoff at 26.67 kHz / 4 = 6.67 kHz. Does "ODR/4" simply describe the LPF2 stage and not the actual resulting bandwidth? Thanks for your help,Steve

Can not build "FatFs_uSD_RTOS" for STM32F746G-Disco board?Hi all,I got this example "FatFs_uSD_RTOS" from the STM32cubeIDE "Example Selector" after selecting the STM32F746G-Disco board. I haven't change anything in it and tried to build it but I get these errors (below). The instructions don't say that I have to do anything just to build the project. What Am I missing? Hi, I have an STM32MP135F-DK board, and I want to set LDO2 and get an output voltage of 3.3V. I have read a document ( Integration of STM32MP13x MPU product lines and STPMIC1D / STPMIC1A on a wall adapter supply) which states that LDO2 must be set after boot sequence by software. Unfortunately I could not find a way to do that.  I am stuck and any help is appreciated.

Hii, i am using NUCLEO-G474RE board and i want to generate pwm signal in which frequency change frequently .But i dont know why this code is not working.

Hello ST team. i wrote about L9369's AD measurement before, but i can't get any response from ST team.(my question is : https://community.st.com/t5/interface-and-connectivity-ics/l9369-getting-voltage-from-sh1-sh2/td-p/589290)i also can't find any method to contact ST team. please reply my question. thank you.

i am using openstlinux  starter package use in stm32mp135-dk. i want to know how to upload a video in sd card of board and also how to play in board.

Hello everyone,Most of you have read my post here (I recommended reading it first before getting into this topic. In short: I mentioned in the previous post that I want to design a new independet project based on TouchGFX lets call it (Toolchain or Graphical Custom Tool....etc) and this also based on the first application. So whatever i would change in the toolchain and then write its .bin file to the MCU then this change should somehow be applied to the first project and means here the texts or the colours whatever. The first application already implemented and released but i would explain my idea below:Now i would divide this topic into three parts 1. Images (which i already implemented) 2. Texts and 3. Colours.1- Lets start with the texts part.. So we have too many text objects in the main project, but the customer only needs to change one text object using the tool. The problem is that we are using 4 different languages so i have two challenge:- The first is how to write the changed

Hi,Is there any possibility for a user to modify the UID of the ST25DV04K, update specific part of memory that holds the value of the UID, or is it readonly? Regards Tomas

Hello! Is it possible to connect stm32wb55 dongle to multiple servers without using a smartphone app???so i can get data from servers and see it on terminal over usb , like Realterm???

Can i connect stm32wb55 dongle as a central to different ble servers simultaniously and how to do it ?

Hello!I need to debug multiple tasks but when I try to enable FreeRTOS support (Debug configurations/Debug/Enable RTOS proxy/FreeRTOS+ARM_CM7) I can't connect to my MCU (STM32H743) with a message box saying "Could not verify ST device" while console says "Failed reading: xList.pxNext Update threads. Failed collecting threads. Lost connection to GDB Client Proxy stopped."I was able to connect once with OpenOCD but then it fails also with errors in console: "OpenOCD Info : New GDB Connection: 1, Target STM32H743IITx.cm7, state: halted Error: Failed to read memory at 0x79280480 Warn : negative acknowledgment, but no packet pending"How it is possible to debug multiple tasks?Regular firmware download and debug without FreeRTOS proxy works perfectly.STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.9.0 Build: 12015_20220302_0855 (UTC)

Hello,I define following constant string, indicating the program version.static const char version_s[] __attribute__((used)) = "V.10";This string isn't used in other part of code, but is only defined with the purpose to put in the binary file, a string easy to find, and to make the CRC over the code, depending from the program version. However, I see that the version string is not included in the binary file, and consequently CRC doesn't depend on it.Where is the mistake?Thank you,Carlo.

These are the steps in chronological order to be able to build the files for a custom board. This seems very convoluted and easily confusing. I this process correct  ? The issues normally are not found with the STM board because all the pre-build files are already in the fip  and other source folders, but for a custom board they are not, hence the issues.Build sequence:=================* Install the SDK* SDK source set to the arm toolchain* Extracted all the sources and applied the patches* Copied the device tree files from CubeMX to the respective folders.* Updated the makefiles.sdk with the the new board name.* Added the device tree file name to the makefiles in fdts and dts sub-folders (TF-A / u-boot)* Set the $FIP_DEPLOYDIR_FIP' and $FIP_DEPLOYDIR_ROOT* Deleted all the custom board files under $FIP_DEPLOYDIR_ROOT that were built before during trial (& error)Steps and issues encountered in chronological order:1. Build u-bootmake -f $PWD/../Makefile.sdk all UBOOT_CONFIG

I am playing with the TIM_InputCapture example (calculates frequency of external pulse) for the NUCLEO-H563ZI dev board. The example works OK except:Frequency is not updated for no edges (signal generator off)Minimum frequency is about 3KHz. I need to measure 0 - 2KHzThere should be a way to trigger the latching of the count reg in SW rather than the timer. The pulse frequency is low enough that I can look at the pulse count in non-ISR code. How do I (a) trigger the latching of the count reg, and (b) disable the timer event?

Hi, I come across debug mode using stm32 IDE and i would like to know whats the difference between serial wire and Trace Asynchonous sw? I know both are use when debuging the Nucleo144 board. And if u wana use a IC chip which mode should i use? JTAG mode? JTAG with Syno ? i m reading AN4989 and its not talking much about this. Can anyone kindly advise?

I am trying to get a clear understanding of the memory map for this board. I want to the know the address locations of the SDRAM and both QSPI flash devices. The board user manual says SDRAM is in Bank 1, which RM0399 says is 0xC000000, but when examples show that 0xD0000000 is the location of the SDRAM. When I run a variation of an example to access the LCD 0XD000 0000 is the correct location as 0xC000 0000 hit a hardware fault. Is there an updated table or documentation stating the full memory map for this board?

Hi,I can't get a simple ST7789 screen working I have tried using this library:- https://github.com/Floyd-Fish/ST7789-STM32 double checked all the connections (including external 8MHZ crystal) and all seems to be fine, I have tried various different settings with the SPI and DMA none of which work. Just wondered if anyone here has had a working program? I am using a simple Nucleo STM32F303K8 MCU. All I get is blank screen.
