I'm trying to migrate my Azure IoT application from a BG96 to a BG95-M3, both from Quectel. I have solved some problem due to the difference in use of the uart3 pins of the BG96 and BG95. Should I make more modifications to the software? Is there a document that covers migration at the software level? Thanks

Good evening,I am trying to sample various signals at different frequencies with adc in dma. Changing the size of the acquisition buffer seems inefficient, so I opted to change the clock prescalers, but it's giving me problems (I guess on changing the baud rate). Do you have any advice on how to change the input signal sampling rate without possibly affecting the UART?

The following function aci_gap_update_adv_data returns the error 0x91 which means "Failed". We don't understand why we have this error and the startup of the device. Do you have any idea ?Best regards,Audrey

I have a client project using Cube IDE 1.6.1, not willing to install Cube IDE next to the already installed Cube IDE 1.12.0, was it possible to downgrade the GNU tool and if so what version to use and how.

I am struggeling with a HyperRAM on STM32H7A3 with OctoSPI2 in Memory Mapped Mode Write. In order to check, if the access to the HyperRAM is ok, I am running through a loop which writes all 0 / 0x55555555 / 0xAAAAAAAA (with 32 Bit access) to the RAM and then tests if it is ok. In the debugger memory dump I see that most words are written ok, But almost regularly on the last 4 bytes of a 256 byte block the data is not always written.Signals are looking good. I tried to reduce clock rate, change the timing parameters, etc. but no success.Has anybody an idea of what might be wrong?void MX_OCTOSPI2_Init(void){ /* USER CODE BEGIN OCTOSPI2_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END OCTOSPI2_Init 0 */ OSPIM_CfgTypeDef sOspiManagerCfg = {0}; OSPI_HyperbusCfgTypeDef sHyperBusCfg = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN OCTOSPI2_Init 1 */   // 24 = Device 16 MByte Size   //    // Prescaler:   // 3 = 93 MHz    // 4 = 70 MHz!

I am trying to increase FCLK, and I changed the voltage scaling to VOS0, and configured the PLL1 for 240 MHz (src=HSI (HSIDIV=2), M=2, N=30, P=2), but it did not boot (it freezes when a change the system clock mux to PLL1). I realized when I decrease it to 200MHz or so, it works. If I increase it, it does not. It is also same if I change M to 4 and N to 60. The PLL configuration looks valid on the configuration tool. What might I be missing ?I also tried monitoring PLL1 and SYSCLK on MCO2 and both shows correct 240MHz with the above configuration even if the processor freezes.(Note: I am not using HAL and the device is STM32H563ZI)

Our product uses an STM32L562VET6Q MCU.  We are using an ADC to measure current via a 1ohm resistor.  Because the currents are relatively small, I want to use the internal opamp in PGA mode to double the input signal before it is send to the ADC.  I have connected my input to PA0 which is OPAMP1_VINP.  According to the user manual, the output of OPAMP1 is connected to ADC1 Channel  8 (ADC12_IN8).After getting everything configured, I noticed that my ADC was reading a constant, incorrect value when another part of the system was running, but was reading good values when that part of the system was disabled.  I was able to narrow down that when the UART in that system is enable, the ADC+OPAMP is giving incorrect values.  I am using PA3 and PA2 for UART2.  Those pins are configured in Alternate Function mode (I verified via the debugger to make absolutely sure).  I noted that PA3 is also ADC12_IN8/OPAMP1_VOUT.  If I configure this pin into

Hello,I have a STM32F407 Discovery Board. I am trying out the FatFs_USBDisk demo application. I am running the application from STM32CubeIDE.When I run the application and plug in a USB flash drive, the demo application works as expected. I see the STM32.txt file on the USB drive and the Green LED4 is on. If I then unplug the USB flash drive and plug it back in, I get the RED error LED5.Debugging it, I see the following is called when I unplug the USB flash drive.f_mount(NULL, (TCHAR const*)"", 0); When I plug the USB flash drive back in I see thatif(f_mount(&USBDISKFatFs, (TCHAR const*)USBDISKPath, 0) != FR_OK)returns FR_OKThe demo application is failing in if(f_open(&MyFile, "STM32.TXT", FA_CREATE_ALWAYS | FA_WRITE) != FR_OK)returning FR_NO_FILESYSTEM.Specifically in the find_volume() in f_open()If I stop the debug session and restart it the USB flash drive is mounted correctly and able to open then write the file.Any thoughts on what is going on?I ha

Greetings, I am trying to figure out the full chain scaling values for the gyro and accelerometer of the ISM330DHCX. I am reading the datasheet as well as the AN5398.  According to the datasheet the output values of accelerometer and gyro is scaled with the configured range over an int16 to milli-g and milli-dps. So to convert an acceleration reading for with the sensor configured to 2g we do:scale = 2 * 1000 / 2**15accel = raw * scale // accel now in milli-g for 2g scale is about 0.061. The same formula can be used to get the scale for the other ranges. For acceleration these values make sense in existing drivers (linked below). However, when doing the same calculation for the gyro range things do not make sense. E.g. for a range of 250 dps we should get:scale = 250 * 1000 / 2**15 = 7.629but this value is not the one that is listed in existing drivers, there rather 8.75 is listed which corresponds to a range of 286.72 dps! The example output in table 20 in AN5

Dear All,I'm using stm32G0 MCU for battery operated application and I2C,  UART and RTC and GPIO are using I want know What should be peripheral state before going to STOP mode mean "should be deinit before going to stop mode or leave it as it is and reint all peripheral after wakeup".

Hi there,I'm experimenting to develop my own bootloader on a NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q board using CubeIDE environment.I prepared 2 "standard" projecs dedicated to the bootloader and to the application respectively. On the Bootloader side, I redirected the printf output to the USART3 for debugging and it works fine.Doing the same on the application side, printf is no longer working after jump from bootloader (no messages at all).I already tried the HAL_UART_Transmit function and the peripheral seems work properly.I already tried the HAL_UART_Transmit function and the peripheral seems work properly.I verified syscall.c file is present... so what is missing?

Hi, I made my first steps in ZigBee by using the NUCLEO-STM32WB55 board with the USB dongle. Hello STM Community,I am currently working on integrating a third party SDK(blockchain sdk) with my FreeRTOS-based project on an STM32 microcontroller, and I have encountered a series of linking errors that I'm struggling to resolve. The build process goes smoothly until I set  SDK=true in my CMake build configuration, after which I receive multiple errors related to functions that are typically provided by a POSIX-compliant operating system (such as _exit, _read, _write etc). /Applications/STM32CubeIDE.app/Contents/Eclipse/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.11.3.rel1.macos64_1.1.1.202309131626/tools/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/11.3.1/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld: /Applications/STM32CubeIDE.app/Contents/Eclipse/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.11.3.rel1.macos64_1.1.1.202309131626/tools/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/11.3.1/../../../../arm-none-eabi/lib/libg.a(libc_a-fstatr.o): in function `_fstat_r': /build/

HiI have a smal motor (GL30) connected to a B-G431B-ESC1.I have profiled the motor and I can make a project using the 6-step algoritme.I need the motor to run in the range of 100-300rpm (almost no load), but from time to time the smooth motion are disturbed and the the rmp fluctuate, just for 0.5-1 sec. If I run slow (less than 150-200rpm) it stop, and I have to restart it.Why is that?I tried to generate the same code using the FOC algoritm, but the motor will not start it just make som noise.I would like to see if the motor worked more smooth in this mode.Is there any stuff missing on the board while it is not working? How do I turn on "on-the-fly-startup"? I wandered why you have not implemented the potmeter interface on the B-G431B-ESC1 board. Br Johnny

Hi, On a power electronic board I have this component "ST BEK P420" in parallel with the power input. I think it's a costant current regulator. I need a spare part or at least its datasheet in order to adapt another component. I hope you can help me. Thank you

Hi All,I have a program that is supposed to transfer data from the integrated ADC on STM32H723 to the D1 RAM. I am using DMA for this, but the problem is that the DMA buffer is limited to 64KB, where I need around 200-250 KB buffer size. Here I am thinking about using DMA as a circular buffer, where I want void HAL_ADC_ConvHalfCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef* hadc){ //Trigger MDMA block transfer } //Called when buffer is completely filled void HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef* hadc){ //Trigger MDMA block transfer }to trigger a block transfer from half the DMA buffer to the MDMA buffer (to one linked list node), or simply using a flag. However is this possible? Can I link a flag or something else to trigger a MDMA linked list block transfer? The linked list will consist of 8 nodes of half the DMA buffer size, so that the functionality will be like a circular buffer of ~200 KB.If someone have done something similar or have an idea how to solve this, I would really apprec

In RM 0481 (STM32H563/H573) Rev 1, on page 444, Figure 48. Clock tree, HSI RC 64 MHz output is written as HSI (hsi_ck), whereas LSI and HSI48 outputs are named as lsi_ker_ck and hsi48_ker_ck. Since there is also a HSIDIV, and it is documented correctly (on page 471, RCC_CR register fields) mentioning hsi_ker_ck, I believe on the Figure 48, hsi_ck should be renamed to hsi_ker_ck.

Hello, This has happened before (here) and was fixed, but it seems that it is happening again. When the downloaded .zip file is opened with a text editor, the contents is:"Service unavailable, please try again later"Please can someone take a look at this? If this is going to happen over and over again, perhaps an alternative method of getting SigFox credentials can be created?

Hi to all!  I connected all channels to possible pins in my ADC.  How I can use the HAL functions to select a separate channel and read the value from it?  Has anyone faced these issues?  I will be grateful for the answer!

Hello, I'm building a communication between two devices an Arduino Mega 2560 and STM3210E-EVAL. For the communication I need to use RS232. In between the two devices I use the MAX232. I got it working one way where the STM32 sends 1 byte to the Arduino Mega. Next I wanted to test communication to the STM32 by sending the character 'X', but the STM32 doesn't receive the data. I use the simple polling method to receive the UART data. This is how my main function looks like. For the printf() I use UART1. uint8_t rx_data[10]; int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END SysInit */ /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ M

I am using STM32L496ZG to interface ISSI IS29GL064-70TLET nor flash by using HAL library. I used CUBE MX to generate the code and running code on Keil compiler. I am able to detect device ID, write and read block. But unable to erase data. I have used example code provided in application note AN4761. Erase code snippet is below:WRITE_READ_ADDR 0x8000NOR_BANK_ADDR 0x64000000 HAL_NOR_ReturnToReadMode(&hnor1); /* Erase the NOR memory block to write on */ HAL_NOR_Erase_Block(&hnor1, WRITE_READ_ADDR, NOR_BANK_ADDR); /* Return the NOR memory status */ if(HAL_NOR_GetStatus(&hnor1, NOR_BANK_ADDR, NOR_TIMEOUT_VALUE) != HAL_NOR_STATUS_SUCCESS) { /* Erase Error */ HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, (uint8_t *) "Erase error" , 12, 100);  return NOR_STATUS_ERASE_ERROR; }The status returns erase success. But the bits are still the same, they don't turn to ones at all.Can any one please help me out on this?

I did not find a real UserManual for STM32WB55, with the register-definitions, peripheral explanations etc.?

Hi,is there an error in the datasheet? The data seems counterintuitive:FT pin input leakage current (max.) is- 150 nA for 0 to VDD-2500 nA for VDD to VDD+1V-250 nA for VDD+1V to 5,5VShouldn´t the last value be in uA perhaps?Kind regardsRené

Hi All,I'm starting to get familiar with the STM32 Series of Microprocessors and I'm completing some exercises using a mixture of direct writting to peripherals and low level ST libraries using the CUBEMX to get familiar with the chips. I'm using the Nucleo -F072RBAt this point I stumbled across a challenge, regarding the ADC module. I don't seem to be able to read the values on chanel 2 and 3 (PA2 and PA3).Using the code below I can read PB0 (Channel 8) just fine. I ave also tried to read te internal temperatre sensor and reference and they seem to work fine. Any ideas why the inputs at PORTA don't work?My code to read the ADC is as follows:... ADC1->CHSELR = (ADC_CHSELR_CHSEL3); while (1) { ADC1->SMPR = 7; // Sample Time ADC1->CFGR1 &= ~ ADC_CFGR1_CONT; // Discontinuous mode ADC1->CR |= ADC_CR_ADEN | ADC_CR_ADSTART;   while ((ADC1->ISR & ADC_ISR_EOC) == 0) /* Wait end of conversion */ { ADC_Result[1] = ADC1->DR; /* Store the ADC convers
