Solved

Hi, I'm programming an STM32F030C8T6 MCU. When I attempt to upload my code, it gives me an error: "Could not halt device (19)". I noticed that this only happens when ADC is enabled from CubeMX. When I disable it, everything works fine. The code doesn't even use it. It is only when I have enabled ADC in the .ioc file in my project directory in STM32CubeIDE. I need ADC for my project. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?Thanks.

Hello,I wonder if someone has knowledge about any difference in how variables are initialized and handled when launching an application from CubeIde vs starting up the MCU.My case: I use a STM32H7 and the application runs regularly when I launch it from CubeIde, no matter whether it is normal or debug mode. I can even reset the MCU, it restarts regularly.However, after I power cycle it, the application gets stuck somewhere and don't know how to debug that because obviously connection to debugger is lost. Resetting doesn't help. I suspect a memory leakage or incorrect use of uninitialized variable.Any suggestion? Thanks!

Hi all,I'm encountering a strange behaviour of STM32CubeMX: from some point on, every time I update the IOC file the generated code is missing the FDCAN function name HAL_FDCAN_GetRxMessage.Obviously this results in a build error; the function declaration in driver file stm32g4xx_hal_fdcan.h is correct:HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_FDCAN_GetRxMessage(FDCAN_HandleTypeDef *hfdcan, uint32_t RxLocation, FDCAN_RxHeaderTypeDef *pRxHeader, uint8_t *pRxData);While in stm32g4xx_hal_fdcan.c function name is missing:HAL_StatusTypeDef (FDCAN_HandleTypeDef *hfdcan, uint32_t RxLocation, FDCAN_RxHeaderTypeDef *pRxHeader, uint8_t *pRxData){ uint32_t *RxAddress; uint8_t *pData; uint32_t ByteCounter; uint32_t GetIndex; HAL_FDCAN_StateTypeDef state = hfdcan->State; //... other code}So I add manually the function name in .c file and everything works, but the next time I generate the code the function name will be deleted again.Is there a way to avoid this or maybe can it be a CubeMX bug?I'm usin

Hi, need support. send_msg() is a secure area message of TF-M and I am calling it in non secure area via secure_nsc API.What I am observing here is that I am not able to call this function in _tx_initialize_kernel_enter() function after the call to TX_PORT_SPECIFIC_PRE_INITIALIZATION. Just to mention this experiment is happening from STM32U585 board. Below is the code snippet for this.   VOID _tx_initialize_kernel_enter(VOID){ /* Determine if the compiler has pre-initialized ThreadX. */if (_tx_thread_system_state != TX_INITIALIZE_ALMOST_DONE){/* No, the initialization still needs to take place. */ /* Ensure that the system state variable is set to indicateinitialization is in progress. Note that this variable islater used to represent interrupt nesting. */_tx_thread_system_state = TX_INITIALIZE_IN_PROGRESS;/* Call any port specific preprocessing. */TX_PORT_SPECIFIC_PRE_INITIALIZATIONsend_msg();.....}

Hello, I have a set of extended CAN ID's I need to pas the bxCAN filter. I looked at some examples where one ID is passed the filter, but could not figure out how to allow a set of ID's. If my understanding is correct the mask is used to determine which bits of the ID are important. How can I configure the filter so that I can pass a set of different ID's?These are the ID's:// 0x0CF00400 // 0x0CFD9200 // 0x18FEE500 // 0x18FEEE00 // 0x18FEEF00 // 0x18FEF200 // 0x18FEF700 // 0x18FEFC00 This is what my filter config looks like: can_fil.FilterBank = 0; can_fil.FilterMode = CAN_FILTERMODE_IDLIST; can_fil.FilterFIFOAssignment = CAN_RX_FIFO0; can_fil.FilterIdHigh = 0; can_fil.FilterIdLow = 0; can_fil.FilterMaskIdHigh = 0; can_fil.FilterMaskIdLow = 0; can_fil.FilterScale = CAN_FILTERSCALE_32BIT; can_fil.FilterActivation = ENABLE; can_fil.SlaveStartFilterBank = 13;

I am looking forward to making a flight controller using STM32H7ZGT6. But I am in confusion that can I use FTDI FT232RL to program the H7 board which is a USB to Serial Converter. Please help me out, Can I use FT232RL.Thanks.

The eval board for the VL53L5 has a GUI that displays all of the zones. Is there a similar GUI for the 53L8 eval board? I don't see one listed on the Tools and Software tab for the eval board. Or is there a way to make the L5

Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen, Could you communicate in a short way the size of the contact drill-holes (stm32f411 - CEU) ?The diameter in AWG size would be enough.We also are interested in further documentation-links regarding it. In student words"Have a nice day"

How is this possible with the #ifndef catch?

Hi there,after installing SPC5Studio v6.0 and opening some sample projects (even an empty one) for SPC582Bx mcu, I found no way to alter compiler and linker options.In eclipse-based IDE (like SPC5Studio) this is normally accomplished opening the project Properties, under C/C++ Build/Settings. Please note that sample projects generate and build fine; I have no board to try UDE debugging but this is outside the scope of the current question. Is there some other way to change compiler and linker flags? Thanks for the support,FP

Which one is the best spc5 board to get for engine and dashboard data collection,usage and sensors integration and communication and also compatible with autosar framework

I have 2 STM32F411RE-EVA Boards. I want to use one of them as SPI Master and the other one as slave and i want to receive data when a certain boolean goes high and triggers the slave. I want the slave one to send me 8 bits of data but i want to receive it in the DMA on master so my Master Module can continue to work on other functions when the transfer is happening. When the whole data transfer is complete i want to blink a led. I tried to work with DMA interrupts but i was not able to do what i wanted because im a beginner on STM. A help would be very useful since i cant find any sources on internet to achieve this using STMCubeIDE

any tips on how to enable and debug pll4_r and fdcan_k clock?

Hi, I am currently using an ASM330LHH MEMS, and seem to be getting erroneous spikes in data from the temperature sensor (see attached image). Please can someone advise on what this may be, or if you have experienced the same issue? I have been working through the temperature decode in my data acquisition (which seems to be okay), but I could be wrong. Many thanks.

I'm using XCube for develope. Can I use NFC6 for this board?

hello everyone ,i have successfully using MX+TouchGFX+IDE with my custom PCB board,and i want to add a video into my project,but i can't find "LIBJPEG" in "Middleware and Software Packs" or "JPEG" in "Multimedia",like this website:https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/touchgfx-hal-development/generator-how-to/touchgfx-al-configuration/video-decoding so how can i do?MCU:stm32wb5mmgLCD driver:st7789Display:240x240pixels,RGB565FW Package:STM32Cube FW_WB V1.18.0X-CUBE-TOUCHGFX version:4.23.0Tony.

I'm using STM32H573IIK6TR and I download its IBIS simulation model from st.com [stm32h562_563_573_ufbga201.ibs]There are a lot of pin model, but i cannot understand what is the correlaction between the datasheet and ibis model. For example: I'm using pin H14 as SDCLK in high speed mode. In IBIS model pins have the following models: low speed (io8_ft_spi_ls_3v3), medium speed (io8_ft_spi_ms_3v3), fast speed (io8_ft_spi_fs_3v3) and high speed (io8_ft_spi_hs_3v3). In datasheet there are 4 mode: low, medium, high and very high. So, I think that "high mode" in datasheet correspond to "fast speed" in IBIS model, but results don't correspond at all.

Hello,I'm trying to set up a micro sd on a nucleo-u575ZI through the sddmc1 with a port of FatFs.I am using a PmodMicroSD all wired up for 4 bits and the card detect on a GPIO.I am testing 3 sd card 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.I have confirmed that all 3 are working in 4 bits mode though SDMMC on a STM32L4R9I Discovery with FatFs. My current implementation on the U575 works only in 1 bit mode. All 3 cards are working and ExFat is enabled on FatFs and I can read and write files no problems.When I change the SDMMC to 4 bits configuration on the U575 only the 16GB sd card works. The other cards gives me a FR_NO_FILESYSTEM when trying to mount.I believe it comes from this line in ff.cif (fmt >= 2) return FR_NO_FILESYSTEM; /* No FAT volume is found */I'm a bit loss and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what might go wrong. I ported FatFs from the STM32L4 CubeMX generation. (FatFs version 0.12c) I believe FatFs has exFat bugs in 0.12C as state in the change logs of 0.13 but I am unsure

Hello, I am working with a STM32H743 with RTOS and LWIP, using LAN8742 as PHY. I have developed a custom board with this setup and it has been working very well.Now, after almost an year, the new production lot does not work anymore: when the firmware starts, the 2 leds connected to the RJ45 plug blink simultaneously. The producer assured me that he used the same components, only the PCB has been produced in a different lot, same master.I tried to handle the nRST pin by software, delaying its assertion as descripted in the LAN8742 datasheet but it's no use. With the "old" boards that pin was left high for the whole time, no need of hardware reset via that pin. Is there a logic table that describes what the actual LED meaning is? I think they are showing some kind of error state but can't figure out which.Big thanks in advance!

I want to play audio on STM32F4 Discovery board. Audio is stored in SD card which connected by SDIO. On discovery board, I see below connections.I2S3_SCK -- PC10 -- (SCLK) CS43L22I2S3_SD -- PC12  -- (SDIN) CS43L22but PC10 & PC12 are also connected to SDIO_D2 and SDIO_CK.  SDIO has no alternate pins. Any suggestion on how to move I2S3_SCK and I2S3_SD to PB3 & PB5 alternate pins on discovery board.

Hello all,I am developing a touchGFX application on STM32F7 with the frame buffer stored on an external QSPI flash. While app is running, I need to write data to this external memory but, to allow the flash write, I have to exit the memory-mapped mode. On this configuration the GUI task can not access the frame buffer so I have tried to block its execution. I have implemented it this way:1- System starts: QSPI flash configured in memory-mapped mode (GUI task working fine)2- Disable LCD and DMA interrupts and exit memory-mapped mode3- Write flash4- Enter memory-mapped mode and enable LCD and DMA interruptsSince the data is received from modbus communications, I repeat steps 2-4 on each message reception until I have written all data on external flash. This solution works sometimes but others the GUI task seems to crash and the screen is not refreshed anymore.My question is: what is the correct way to block GUI task (or frame buffer access) so that it could continue its normal function o

hello  I'm using a STM32H573-DK board for engineering samples. so. I'm run a example this link but provisioning.bat files does not run at 'Step 3 : Provisioning'How to fix this problem?

Hi, I'm doing a low-power project using the STMF401CCUx MCU.  I require only 1 I2C, 1 SPI, 1 GPIO Interrupt, and 2 GPIO input pins.    I won't be using any ADC or DAC parts, so is it fine to leave the VREF+ pin unconnected?  Does it source any current?    Any other recommendations on the PCB design is also appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, It is not clear to me if I can set stm32wb55 to advertise for connection (e.g., fast, slow)  during sleep mode.In case a client connects to me, will I get a connection event that will wake CPU1?What are the sleep modes( power consumptions) of each CPU in the best case?
