Solved

Hey there,I am trying to troubleshoot the following issue for quite some time now. I am working on an stm32mp157f based board attempting to enable a combination of stusb16xx and USB OTG . The behavior I am expecting to see is that when a usb device is connected to usbphyc_port1 (usb-c) it will get recognized in the same way as if it was on ehci but when a host device is connected to the same port I can trigger a gadget script in udev.rules. My current configuration works as expected for all gadget modes: typec: stusb1600@28 { compatible = "st,stusb1600"; reg = <0x28>; interrupts = <11 IRQ_TYPE_LEVEL_LOW>; interrupt-parent = <&gpioi>; vsys-supply = <&vdd_usb>; pinctrl-names = "default"; pinctrl-0 = <&stusb1600_pins_a>; status = "okay"; vdd-supply = <&vin>; typec_con: connector { compatible = "usb-c-connector"; label = "USB-C"; power-role = "dual"; data-role = "dual"; typec-power-opmode = "def

Hi there, I am working on an STM32MP157F-DK2 board and an STUSB1600 with hsotg gadget support and no PD controller. I am running a buildroot image with all the necessary drivers enabled including dwc2, SystemFS etc.  The gadget is working as expected in most configurations. It can be hotplugged and get recognised with a high-speed unique address without any issues on several computers running windows or linux with a usb-c to usb-c cable . Recently I attempted to connect the board to a series of apple computers to test compatibility. I faced several unexpected behaviours during these tests. Apple Macbooks (Intel) will have a 50-50 chance of recognising the DK board as a peripheral. The rest of the times the DK is recognised as a charger and the MBP will start charging Apple Macbooks (M1) will still have a 50-50 chance of recognising the DK board as a peripheral but the rest of the gadget will not get recognised at all. Apple Mac Mini (M2) will not get

My question might sound "strange" for HW experts. My STM32U5A5 MCU has DCache (16KByte). Datasheet says: used when external memory is connected (e.g. NAND/NOR flash, OCTOSPI).DCache is not used for internal memory (when running from MCU flash or internal SRAM, obvious: not needed, internal SRAM seems to be with same speed as MCU = no DCache needed). But: 16KByte of memory is provided in chip as DCache:How could I use this memory without any external memory device used, not connecting external memory?16KByte, provided as DCache, would give me an option to place the stack region on it (large enough). So, the "idea" is:There is not any external memory connected. But I enable DCache and I read/write via the intended base address (for external memory).I use the MPU and configure in a way, that this base address is a "write-through" regionI mean:if I could configure DCache and MPU so that the DCache is never evicted (not "cleaned", not writing to real external memory)and no need to "invalidate"

Where can I get demo of Ethernet and lwIP with Nucleo-F207ZG? Why can't i find Nucleo-F207ZG example in STM32cubemx6.01? Thanks.

hi st team/community .,AS i followed st youtube video for dynamic graph conversion from ADC ..where they used STM32h7b3 disc0 which has enough ram compared to mine(stm32f769 disc0)..i need to know which is simple way for doing it worked,, where i will ready for anything to do..(like reduce for resoution and size )..because.,this is testing only.,,where i need to do ECG waveform in display furture process..if i'm going to use ecg waveform from 12-lead.,then how should i do it in this board.,??should i use 12 separate dynamic graph...??STM32 Graphics: How to use the graph widget to display the ADC converted values, Part 2 (youtube.com)

Im using stm32h743zi2 microcontroller and , cortext M7 processor , so i need prescalar value and period values of TIM5 for 80milli sec . here im using main clock is 400Mhz and timer bus clock is 200Mhz . please can anyone suggest me a flexible solution. And give me the formulas for calculating the timers prescalar and period.

What I want to do is send Write Enable instruction to external Flash and erase. The environment is as follows.Use Board : nucleo l4r5ziIDE : Atollic TrueSTUDIO® for STM32, Built on Eclipse Neon.1a.(Version: 9.3.0)FLASH : W25Q64JVThe connection diagram of the board and FLASH is shown below.I want to send Write Enable instruction to 「W25Q64JV 2」.The registers are set as follows.●OCTOSPI●OCTOSPIMI send Write Enable instruction and then the Read Status instruction. 0 is always stored in the FIFO. (Of course I make sure the FTF is set before reading the data register)I assume that the setting on the microcontroller side is wrong because when I check IO5 with an oscilloscope, I get the expected waveform. For your information, when I set FSEL to 0 and communicated with 「W25Q64JV 1」 using IO0~IO3, the data was stored in the FIFO as expected. If there are any settings that are missing, I would like to know.

We recently launched a product on the STM32MP157C series to control iot devices. We're trying to do some R&D for matter and based on our testing should be at least testable on any system with a wifi chip. The trouble we are running into is there does not seem to be an easy way to integrate the [connecthomeip repo](https://github.com/project-chip/connectedhomeip) with the yocto build system for that chip.   I naively tried to [base a recipe off of a different chipset](https://github.com/nxp-imx/meta-matter/blob/master/recipes-matter/matter/matter.bb), but I keep running into cross compiling build issues.   Is anyone else trying to build any matter tools for the STM32MP1 and has any advice for acomplishing this in the yocto build system?

Hello,I plan to use a STM32H745 controller and 7" LCD TFT display with resistive touch. Am using TouchGFX for UI developement. My application should support Touch gestures such as swipe and list scroll. I already have used capacitive touch in another project with same controller and touchGFX and was able to swipe and scroll seamlessy without any additional implementationAre these gestures possible with a rsistive touch screen? if yes then can you please provide any sample codes for the same. Thanks Anuj

Hello support team,Have a Nice day.I am working on STM32U585ZIT6 Controller and investigating SBSFU for firmware upgrading.I list our specifications for a custom bootloader below.Enable TrustZoneEnable Dual bankRun time firmware write in the second bankAfter successfully doing it swap bank I do not find specific this series SBSFU related document Can you provide me integration document for STM32U5 Series? https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an5056-integration-guide-for-the-xcubesbsfu-stm32cube-expansion-package-stmicroelectronics.pdfThanksHiren R. Hello, i am using the STM32H725ZGT6 on a custom layout. As comparison i am also using the STM32H723ZGT6U on a NUCLEO-H723ZG Board.I am using STM32CubeMX, Keil µVision and the ULINK2 debugger.  To test the Serial Wire Flashing procedure, i created an empty Cube Projext (using HSI and no controller pins), compiled itand flashed it to the controller. The Nucleo Board works perfectly fine with this setup. However when i do the exact same procedure (of corse with correct controller), my custom Board has a problem:I can only flash the software when the BOOT0-Pin is set to +3V3 (but not use any peripherals). When the BOOT0-pin is set to GND, i cannot program anymore and there is "SWD Communication Failure" according to Keil. I also tried to toggle a GPIO but had no acces with my custom board so far.Any ideas on this?If you need more infos, please let me know.See Layout files attached. Thanks.

Hi there! If I interpret table 45 on p. 247 of the reference manual correctly, then the IPCC interrupt is not able to wake up a CPU from STOP mode:Am I correct in my interpretation? If so, is there any other way for CPU1 to wake up CPU2 from STOP mode to signal that there is a message waiting? One way I can think of is connecting two GPIO pins so that CPU1 can generate an external interrupt to CPU2 but that feels like such a waste of resources :(Thanks in advance,Pieter

I'm trying to figure out if a latched interrupt affects the INT pin signal. I'm working with Arduino. The datasheet says the following on page 44:AOI-6D = ‘11’ is direction recognition. An interrupt is generated when the orientation isinside a known zone. The interrupt signal remains while the orientation is inside the zone.I understand that latched interrupt makes the IA bit on INTx_SRC stay HIGH until i read the register. But when I enable LIR, this doesn't seem to be true. Before configuring everything, I reset all the registers to default value. I configured INT1 without LIR and INT2 with it to check the difference.I put a LED on each INT pin. Here's the configuration code:write_reg(LIS_ADD, CTRL_REG1, 0x97); // 0x97: 1344 Hz, enable XYZwrite_reg(LIS_ADD, CTRL_REG2, 0x00); // 0x00: HP offwrite_reg(LIS_ADD, CTRL_REG3, 0x40); // 0x40: IA1 on INT1write_reg(LIS_ADD, CTRL_REG4, 0x30); // 0x30: 16gwrite_reg(LIS_ADD, CTRL_REG5, 0x02); // 0x08: LIR_INT1, 0x02: LIR_INT2write_reg

Good morning,I would like to know if I can disable the JTAG in the STM32MP1. Once my project is finished I do not want this interface to be active. Is there a way to disable the JTAG/SWD interface with registers/fuses/OTP?Kind regards,Andrés

Hello all,this code snippet is not working: the page is not erased, although the HAL does not report errors.No RTOS is running. if (HAL_ICACHE_Disable() != HAL_OK) {Error_Handler();} status = HAL_FLASH_Unlock();if (status != HAL_OK) {Error_Handler();} erase_init_struct.TypeErase = FLASH_TYPEERASE_PAGES;erase_init_struct.Banks = FLASH_BANK_1;erase_init_struct.Page = 127;erase_init_struct.NbPages = 1; status = HAL_FLASHEx_Erase(&erase_init_struct, &page_error);if (status != HAL_OK) {Error_Handler();} Any suggestion?

I am not new in using STM32H7 products but in my last project I can not connect the target by ST_Link.I take care about power supply, pins to connect at GND or 3V3 and so on but the Link-Utility return this error:<<08:28:41 : ST-LINK SN : 440032001500004737364D4E08:28:41 : V2J43S708:28:41 : Connected via SWD.08:28:41 : SWD Frequency = 4,0 MHz.08:28:41 : Connection mode : Normal.08:28:42 : Can not connect to the target! Please select "Connect Under Reset" mode from Target->Settings menu and try again.08:28:53 : Unexpected error>>It seems the comunication start with the target but can not complete it.I Try all possible combinations of the ST_Link Utility configurations not no resultsCan anyone help me to solve this problem? Is there a specific list of pin to connect at 3V3 or GND or with CAPS and so on in order to let the target comunicate properly. Thanks for you support

I want to access MEMS sensor available on STM32U5A9J-DK board for performing some operation. Anyone please guide me how to do that. Thanks and Regards,Suman

I am facing issues while running a BLDC motor using the 6-step algorithm on the STEVAL-SPIN3201 board. The only modification I have made is to the Hall effect sensor low-pass filter to address noisy input signals.I am encountering the following problems:Current spike on startup: When starting the motor I apply a soft speed ramp, still I get this current spike on the phase current, which sometimes result in 'Over Current' Fault. What can be done to mitigate this? Speed fluctuations: The motor speed fluctuates around the reference speed, resulting in uneven current draw (see "1500rpm_no_load.png"). I have tried adjusting the speed regulator tuning to be less aggressive, but this has not resolved the issue.Current Spikes: Occasional current spikes in the phase currents trigger "Over Current" faults.Do you have any suggestions on how to address these problems? The .stwb6 project is included in the Info.zip file

Hello, Is there any estimation for when the STM32WL3x will be supported in STM32Cube IDE or STM32CubeMX? Also, is there any estimation for when there will be a dev board available on the market? The SoC STM32WL33C8V6TR looks extremely promising for our projects and we would like to start evaluating it as soon as possible. Thank you.

i have download prebuild image en.flash-stm32mp1-openstlinux-6-1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23-06-21.tar.gzit working fine on my stm32mp135f-dk EVK. i want to add docker in it so need the build process of yocto image.Kindly guide me how to do it.

As the title says, the ST "New Products" page lists some products that are not new at all and out of the scope of the timeframe set on the same page.Example:At the point of writing this forum entry, the page, while set to "1 Month", lists the "HCC4049UB" under "Space Products" and the "AVS08CB" under "Thyristors (SCR) and AC Switches".When checking with the waybackmachine, these products have been listed since at least april of 2021! The webpage description and layout implies it lists products that have been released in the selected timeframe, so products like above should certainly not be listed anymore.

If you need an example, how to use PDM microphones (MICs) on STM32 MCU and how to bring the voice/sound via network to a host computer (PC) - here is my project:https://github.com/tjaekel/PortentaH7_VFR_CubeIDE Here is a YouTube video with a demonstration:https://youtu.be/HZ2tHTENgCg it is based on Portenta-H7 (STM32H747) (with breakout board or using the vision shield), but I post it here because: it is NOT based on Arduino drivers, nor Arduino IDE! It is an STM32 Cube HAL based project, for STM32CubeIDE, a regular STM HW/FW project like a NUCLEO board. What it does (it is a pretty heavy/large project):it uses PDM MICs and send it via network (via VBAN): get it via network and route the PDM voice to your laptop speaker, record it with tools (it appears like a sound card interface on PC)it has an UART command interpreter: use commands to enable MIC, to control amplification of MIC etc.it runs a web server where you can also enter commandsit provides a "Pico-C" interpreter: wri
