Hi, I am designing a 25W power supply for the raspberry pi 5 for my battery powered project. The buck regulator I am using has a fixed 5V output and I want to use the STUSB4710 to offer 5V 5A to the Pi. How can I program the registers to do so via I2C? I have checked the datasheets as well as the STUSB47XX register maps but both are still quite vague on how to program.

Hi @STackPointer64 , I wanted to note one issue related to the 'Save As' feature. After I enter the project name (I2C_new_project_name) and the project repository (/home/gil/.../I2C_new_project_name) I click the Save button. I open the newly created ioc2 file with a text editor and I notice that the source code path is the one of the old project: "CMake": {"outputPath": "I2C_old_project_name_cmake","toolchain": "GCC","exportSource": "include-packs-from-local","removeBoard": true} I was expecting to see the source code path of the new project. Sure enough if I generate the project with this ioc2 file it will write to the I2C_old_project_name_cmake directory.  I edited the ioc2 file  to change the source code path to the new path to fix this issue.   Regards, Gil Original post: Starting a new project with an existing ioc2 file. I purchased a STM32H745I-DISCO. The board appears to work fine. I am trying to flash the stock firmware onto the board. I downloaded the binary from the ST product page, followed the instructions, set the correct option bytes, used the external loader. The binary file on the product page "STM32Cube_Demo-STM32H745I-DISCO-V1.0.0_FULL.hex" does not bring the board back to factory settings. The touchscreen does not work. The stock demo wont run. Does anyone have have a more up to date binary file or procedure for factory reset? Thanks

In Debian unstable (forky/sid), I tried to launch STM32CubeMX2 by launcher or command "cube mx start", but noting happened, thought there were process with command "~/.local/share/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeMX2/resources/stm32cubemx-application/1.0.0/dist/stm32cubemx2 ~/.local/share/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeMX2/resources/stm32cubemx-application/1.0.0/dist/resources/app/lib/backend/main.js --no-sandbox --allow-multiple-windows --backendTimeout=30000" and process with command "~/.local/share/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeMX2/resources/stm32cubemx-application/1.0.0/dist/stm32cubemx2 --type=zygote --no-zygote-sandbox --no-sandbox".

Greetings,I am working on testing a STM32H573 based HW design, which uses an external 4-port USB-2.0 Hub.I plan on using USB Flash drives, and read/write files to them as a diagnostic test.I will instantiate the STM32H573 USB interface as Host-mode, and have it discoverthe USB hub, and enumerate the downstream devices (flash drives/sticks).Our current SW base is using the FreeRTOS OS.Should I switch to Azure ThreadX? I have heard that the USBX ThreadX library isthe way to go?Can I run USBX under FreeRTOS, or does it require ThreadX?Thanks for any guidence!Ken CarlsonDraeger Medical Systems Inc.

Hello,On a STM32H7RS are using the USB_OTG_HS peripheral in PCD_SPEED_FULL mode using internal clock.After I was able to configure the clock so that the MCU is responding on enumeration requests. The responses however seem to be partially incorrect; the trace tool shows stalls.I did not found an example in current https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeH7RSThe following changes are applied to a CubeMX generated projectmain.c SystemClock_Config:LL3.PLLN was set to output 24 MHzRCC_OscInitStruct.PLL3.PLLState = RCC_PLL_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL3.PLLSource = RCC_PLLSOURCE_HSI; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL3.PLLM = 4; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL3.PLLN = 60; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL3.PLLP = 2; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL3.PLLQ = 40; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL3.PLLR = 16; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL3.PLLS = 2; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL3.PLLT = 2;Configure CRS __HAL_RCC_CRS_CLK_ENABLE(); RCC_CRSInitTypeDef RCC_CRSInitStruct = {0}; RCC_CRSInitStruct.Prescaler = RCC_CRS_SYNC_DIV1; // default RCC_CRSInitSt

Greetings,We're developing our product on our MYIR MYC-LD25X SoM based on the STM32MP257DAK3 MPU with 8GB eMMC non-volatile storage. As per our design requirements, I am required to enforce the STM32 MCU Equivalent of CRP Level 1 or 2 on our Non-Volatile storage so that once we have flashed the eMMC with our program, It's content could only be read/written by the program flashed onto the eMMC & not by JTAG, SWD, etc methods.Using an eMMC chip that provides these protection might be an option but is it atleast possible to enforce write protection using the MPU itself? For example the MPU could have a small program running which could then verify if the contents of the eMMC were tampered with?Regards,Aditya M.

I have project consisting of FSBL+Application (writing AI code in application), I want to debug application code, but unable to do it . My core doubt is should I go via FSBL debugging or Application debugging while working with real time detection in AI ? I am very much confused in this application debugging, kindly address it.I have ensured the external memory loader in cube Programmer as well as in debugger settings is same & loaded .I had flashed the binaries in cube programmer FSBL-trusted bin at 0x70000000 and application trusted-bin at 0x70100000 and signed them also. I have attached a word document having screenshots of debugger settings and problems coming in debugging for each directly application and via FSBL. & one screenshot of external memory settings in .ioc file. Thanks & RegardsChanchal

Hello, i am using F446 and i am contemplating using FreeRTOS CMSIS V2 software timer to generate PWM to control motors via motor drivers (IC  chipset). Is this possible? Or must I use the hardware timer, TIM1~7 ?

Hello, we are having an issue where our cell voltage readings are drifting when discharging. When there is no current, the voltages all read correctly. However, during discharge, we see that cell 5 and cell 1 have lower voltage readings by about 150mV at 5A. Once discharge is ended, the voltages level off again. I have checked that this is reflected in the registers. These are our filter settings:

Hi,We are currently using STM32H753 and are setting up USB Fifos. There is some contradictory information about the available sizes. AN4879 mentions that the available SRAM size is 1.25kBytes for OTG_FS:In the reference manual RM0433 I can only find 4kB for both OTG_HS peripherials, where OTG_HS1 is used for OTG_FS:What information is correct? Thanks and best regardsDaniel

Hi, Can I use lis3mdl as gyroscope as I observe this behaviour while reading it's raw values. Thanks

Hi,Is it possible to open a .ioc project file for STM32CubeMX directly from the Windows command line? If yes, what is the correct syntax? Thanks

Dear all,For the STM32N6570-DK kit, is there a simple tutorial that shows the workflow for integrating a model generated by STM32Cube AI Studio into a project?A simple example would be: if an image is detected, we could turn on an LED on the kit.A guide would be very welcome. Many thanksCheersEmmanuel

Hello to all, I am looking for the min-max humidity working ranges of the STTH10002TV1 diode (in %) as I can't find it in the product specification. Is there a general value for all the ST's diodes? If so, where can I find it ? Thank you for your time, Best regards,

Hi ST community,I create a simple application using USART1 baudrate 9600 TX pin - PB6 & Rx pin - PB7. I send uart frame each 1 second. J22 connects to CP210x. I see that the RX led of CP210x toggle each 1 second but when I open terminal screen on the laptop with same baudrate, nothing is shown. HAL_transmit return HAL_OK. Tx pin and Rx GPIO pin is configured as default, no pull up and pull down. What is problem here?  void SystemClock_Config(void) { RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0}; RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = {0}; /** Configure the main internal regulator output voltage */ if (HAL_PWREx_ControlVoltageScaling(PWR_REGULATOR_VOLTAGE_SCALE3) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } /** Configure LSE Drive Capability */ HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess(); __HAL_RCC_LSEDRIVE_CONFIG(RCC_LSEDRIVE_MEDIUMHIGH); /** Initializes the CPU, AHB and APB buses clocks */ RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSI48|RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSI |RCC_OSCI

The data sheet for the G474RE says it has a Memory Protection Unit. The article on how to enable/configure it in STM32CubeMX shows a CORTEX_M# node under "System Core". I don't see that node. Thank you.

I am using sr6p3e and I tried to access Gicr registers but I got aport exception, I tried several things like check if clock control the module and if there is a protection registers but I didn't find anything, I know that it use axim for interface so I tried to write on another module GTM registers after making necessary configuration but I got sameh issue I check the startup code coming with mcal and found it configure mpu for Gicr and prephiral section and when I apply it in my code it solve the issueI don't need to use mpu, is there another way to access Gicr and gtm ?

I am working with the STM32L4S5VIT6 and currently facing an issue while trying to communicate with the system bootloader over USART. I am using the B-L4S5I-IOT01A Discovery board, on which I am attempting this setup. I have configured BOOT0 correctly and verified that the MCU enters boot mode (the application stops running as expected). I connected USART2 on PA2 (TX) and PA3 (RX), tried swapping TX/RX lines, and also interfaced through a MAX3223 level shifter to a MOXA device, but the STM32CubeProgrammer still reports a “KO – device not responding” error. I have confirmed that the MCU runs user code correctly (LED blink test), so basic functionality is intact. At this point, I suspect either a configuration misunderstanding from AN2606, incorrect peripheral mapping for this specific MCU, or a hardware-level issue with the UART path. Has anyone faced a similar issue with STM32L4 series bootloader communication, or can help clarify the exact USART instances/pins supported in boot mode fo

Hi everyone,I am working with the NUCLEO-U385RG-Q (MB1841) and I've noticed an inconsistency in the UM3062 user manual, specifically in Table 18 (ST Morpho connector pin assignment). The documentation states that PB7 is available on the Morpho connector at pin 5 of CN10. However, in the standard factory configuration, this does not seem to be the case. It appears that the connection depends on the solder bridge (SB) configuration, but the manual is not explicitly clear about the default state for this specific board variant. This makes the pinout tables quite confusing at a glance.Could you please tell me where I made a mistake and are there any other reliable sources of information about the pinout connections for this Nucleo board?Thank you in advance for information.

Dear community, I've used yocto as my workhorse in the past a lot for other processor manufacturers. Now as I'm happily joining the STM world for linux I'm stuck. Maybe it is a too easy to miss question, but which steps I have to take for putting all the needed images to the sd-card? I have followed the rules to go for using the create_sdcard_from_flashlayout.sh script with FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp257f-dk-optee.tsv as the parameter. After that I've used dd to flash the .raw to the designated sdcard but the board does not start at all. From the provided sdcard it starts without any issue.Where is my mistake? Regards KS

I am currently working with the X-NUCLEO-NFC10A1 board and interfacing it with an ESP32 DevKit V1. While attempting to establish communication between the two, I have tried all SPI modes as well as different reset logic configurations, but I am still unable to get them to communicate properly.I have included my Arduino test code below for reference, which I am using to verify the communication:Please check in attachment section there is code file

Hello,I've been struggling with this issue for a couple days, I have a Nucleo-L476RG board that I am trying to run and debug in VS Code. I'm using the STM32CubeMX + STM32 VS Code Extension tool chain to create cmake files, build, and then debug, but I cannot run and debug code due to an error:Error in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: ST-LINK firmware upgrade required.
