hello, I'm using a vl53l1cb satel board, but I'm not been able to get a reading greater than 4m (aprox).I'm using the vl53l1 zephyr RTOS driver, and I'm aware that the roi selection is different than the one of the UM2133, so I'm not selecting a specific roi, but still the maximun distance reported by the sensor is 4. Do you guys have any suggestion on how to be able to get the maximun distance reading using the zephyr driver?

Hello,Is there a STEP file for the Nucleo-L552ZE-Q? Thank you

Hi. guys.I'm trying to make BLE communication to PC with the SPI interface to the analog-front-end in my custom stm32wb55 board. However, I found that the transmitted data through BLE to PC appears in SPI received data (RX).So, can anybody explain why this interference happened between BLE and SPI?Do two communications use the same Attribute data memory? Plus, please suggest a solution for this.

Hello,I have a basic question regarding timer behavior in STM32.I have a common callback function HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) that handles timer interrupts at defined periods. I have set different priorities for timer global interrupts in my CubeMX NVIC configuration. My questions are:Does setting the TIMx global interrupt preemption priority configure the priority for all interrupts generated by the timer (e.g., HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback, HAL_TIM_TriggerCallback, TIMx_IRQHandler)?What is the difference between TIMx_IRQHandler and HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback?If I use a common callback function HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) and check the timer instance, will it respect the interrupt priorities and return to the currently running task? For example, if a higher priority timer interrupt occurs while a lower priority timer callback is being executed, will the CPU handle the higher priority interrupt first, then resume and complete the

Hello,I am using the X-CUBE-SBSFU package with the KMS to perform firmware update on my ST MCU.To verify the authenticity of the firmware I use ECDSA. However, I don't understand why I only need to provide a private key but not the public key. If I understood correctly the ECDSA should be used to sign the firmware update and this is done by the postbuild script but to verify the signature, the bootloader should be using a public key associated to the private key. However, the KMS only contains the private ECDSA key. Why do we verify the firmware with the private key and not with a public key ?Kind regards,Benjamin

Hello,Just fount a bug on the LL driver of VREFBUF on STM32U575when you want to configure internal Vref to 2.5V and you use the nest function:LL_VREFBUF_SetVoltageScaling(LL_VREFBUF_VOLTAGE_SCALE3);where LL_VREFBUF_VOLTAGE_SCALE3  should set VRS bits of CSR REG to 0x3 it set it to 0x4 instead.the problem is in the definition of the term  LL_VREFBUF_VOLTAGE_SCALE3#define LL_VREFBUF_VOLTAGE_SCALE3   VREFBUF_CSR_VRS_2 /*!< Voltage reference scale 1 (VREF_OUT4) */where#define VREFBUF_CSR_VRS_2    (0x04UL<< VREFBUF_CSR_VRS_Pos) /*!< 0x00000030 */where:#define VREFBUF_CSR_VRS_Pos   (3U)0x04UL<< VREFBUF_CSR_VRS_Pos  should be equal to  0x00000030 but it actually equal to 0x00000040therefor wrong value is set in the VRS bits.

I have been looking at the power consumption on an STM32U031K8U6 when it is put into standby mode with the RTC setup to regularly wake up the processor. Most recently I had the wake-up time set to 250ms. The processor wakes up and does the following- the requisite initialization- resets the RTC wakeup timer- gets a wakeup count from a backup register and increments it- if the wakeup count is greater than or equal to 40:   * the wakeup count is set back to zero   * an LED is turned   * HAL_Delay(5) is called   * the LED is turned off.- the new wake up count is written into the backup register- HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode() is called to put the MCU back into standby mode.------------The above code works as expected.I have been using STM32CubeIDE with the Device Configuring Tool to do this work.I have been running the MCU off of the MSI clock. I had done multiple builds with the MSI set for lower clock rate, The latest was 200K befo

Hi,I have to read both image files(BMP and JPEG) and also text files from either uSD or USB pen drive. But - despite having written quite a bit of code through the years - I have never developed any code that does that specifically. nor do I have previously used the STM32 or STM32 tool chain. Just a couple of questions:1) which one is easier, faster and simpler to implement? The uSD card or the USB pen drive?2) would it be better / easier to use also FreeRTOS or not?3) What are the libraries to install/use? Are there any code samples? Any additional pointers are also welcomed! :) Thank you very much :)

After downloading en.x-cube-matter-v1-0-3.zip and attempting to install from a local folder, as CubeIDE 1.14.1 nor 1.15.1 have it listed as a package yet.It asks for the .zip or .pack file, shortly after selecting the zip file I get the message as in the snip below.Tried on 3 different Windows 11 pro 64bit machines, from a Core i5 to a Core i9 13900.

We have custom HW with an STM32F303VC processor. There is a 12 MHz crystal with an 18pF in parallel wired to OSC_IN and OSC_OUT.The power budget is basically unlimited so we would like to run the device as fast as possible with this configuration.Peripherals used:I2CSPIPWM on TIM1 and TIM3TIM2 (SYS) TimerUSBUSART1USART2GPIOADCThe application functions correctly with the exception of the UART Baud rates being incorrect and the PWM frequencies are not what I expect. Auto baud detection is working for now and the PWM is connected to a duty cycle dependent device so this is not really a problem for now as well.I would like to get the baud rate straightened out and get the clock settings optimized. STM32 Micro clock configuration is a weak area for me.Current settings:

I'm a new user to STM32CubeMX. I tried to generate code for IWDG on the STM32F746NGHx and the pProject Manager Setting dialog appeared saying 'The Firmware Package (STM32CU FW_F7V1.17.1) or one of its dependencies required by the Project is not available in your STRM32CubeMX Repository. Do you want to download this now? Yes or No."I click Yes and a User Authentication Manager dialog pops up and saying "Please login to download a software package. 'OK'"I click 'OK' and a box appears with a spinning icon and message "Loading.... please wait."Then a User Authentication Dialog appears with 5 undulating blue lines appear. This eventually times out. Then the dialog Authentication Error Manager appears saying "Connection lost... Try check the network etc,."The same thing happens when I click the myST icon and try to log in.I'm clearly missing something very fundamentally that isn't intuitively obvious to me being a first time user. Please advise.  Thank you,  scotte

Hey All, I'm looking to bootstrap a custom NFC antenna and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for how to attach a ST NFC chip to a silver nanoparticle printed antenna using a laser jet (with this ink).  Someone suggested using conductive epoxy (like this), but I wanted to post here to see what folks thought. Thanks in advance for any responses!

Hey everyone,I want an UART communication between my PC and my STM32H745 Disco board. By default the UART 3 (connected to STLINK connector) is one core M4. My baud rate is 115200. My pins are initialized by default. My main is this :and the hal_uart_transmit function returns HAL_OK.On my computer, with Putty, i can't see the data sent. Can you help me with this ? :)

good morning, I'm trying to import a neural network for NILM (non-intrusive load monitoring) in the stm32 environment, but I can't complete the analysis due to the presence of the error: INTERNAL ERROR: unpack_from requires a buffer of at least 122836864 bytes for unpacking 4 bytes at offset 122836860 (actual buffer size is 1654784) The network is CNN type and I'm working with xcube ai v. 9.0.0 and stm32cubeide 1.15.1I'm asking anyone if they know how I can solve the problem of the buffer size, thanks in advance.

[Basic Info]We're currently having issues with our custom board. It is based on the G431RB in FOC and 3-Shunt mode, with a DRV8323RS as the gate drive and for amplifying and attenuating the current measurement. The motor is a low-inductance (8.1µH) high-power BLDC motor with integrated Hall-sensors.The System is set up as an inverter in 3-Shunt mode, with all three current measurements using one ADC (hardware requirement).MCSDK Version used is 6.2.1, with STM32 FW for the G4 being V1.5.1 (as recommended) in HAL mode.Following tests were performed to verify the proper function of the hardware:- Check of the hardware for shorts and proper voltages- Check of the gate drive signals for correct switching, including dead times (generated by the gate driver)- Check of the current measurement paths, including amplification and conversions inside the library (the current values output by the Motor Pilot properly represent the voltages measured at the shunts)- Check if the actual motor parameters

The BSDL files for STM32H7RS do not contain files for STM32H7RS.Is the JTAG command length the same for STM32H7RS as for other STM32?

Hi ST Micro Team. We are planning to start a pilot project on the use of RFID in our office, We want to to place the tags on the laptops so that whenever an engineer with laptop  exits a room the reader should detect. Could you please suggest a possible RFID  evaluation board /reader with possible tags that can be used. Regards,Karthik

I built a project in STM32F411E-DISC . project is built successfully and also  when we debugged no issue is found ,but after debugging only ORANGE LED is toggling rest 3 LED is not toggling . kindly help me to resolve this issue .kindly  find for code and microcontroller.

Hello, using the Ethernet PTP hardware on the STM32H743 processor in slave mode, I synchronize my clock's value and counting speed within the Ethernet peripheral to that of the master device. Is the system clock used by the processor core to execute instructions synchronized with the clock within the Ethernet peripheral? Does the PTP hardware only synchs my clock within the Ethernet peripheral to the master? In other words; Can I synchronize the system clock(not the ethernet clock) of the STM32H743 processor with the clock of the PTP master device on the Ethernet network using the Ethernet PTP hardware? Thanks in advance.

Hi,I never worked with STM32 platform. I have to interface a SDI round display with it.I have seen that TouchGFX includes three "parts": TouchGFX Generator, TouchGFX Designer, TouchGFX Engine. But still not sure what each of them does.A couple of questions if someone could please help:1) What tools do I need to generate the code for the actual custom round display's low level interfacing2) How do I define the round display in TouchGFX? Thank you :)

I have designed my own PCB and I have the problem that while the code uploads successfully, it doesn't run.I have checked NRST and BOOT0 and both should not be the problem. I have found a similar issue where the chip didn't get a clock signal and therefor was stuck. I have used the debugger to step through the code and it went past HAL_Init but I never come past SystemClock_Config, when trying to step into it the debugger throws 'Cannot find bounds of current function'. I am new to designing PCBs and I don't really know where to go from here or what the issue could be.It is not the debugger itself as I can run the blinking sketch with no problems on a dev board that I have bought, which is why I have attached the schematic. I can also provide the PCB layout but I think it is much more likely that I made a basic mistake than that the layout is the culprit.Thank you

Hi, I had migrated my project from 1.14.1 to 1.15.1.When I change PSC on TIM17 from 0 to 99 on IDE and regenerate the code. The PSC value remains unchanged on tim.c, is this a bug or something I need to configure after migration? This is really annoying that we need to check the parameter one by one to see if the change on IDE is generated to the source code.     Thanks for your help.

Hi Everyone. As mentioned in the subject I have 2 Nucleo F767zit. where i configured one board as Host(CDC) and another as Device(CDC). I referred MOOC USB training(https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnMKNibPkDnFFRBVD206EfnnHhQZI4Hxa), configured Host by (11.1 VCP Host lab) video and Device by (9.1 and 9.2 VCP)video. Host is sending data which is successfully received by Device(OUT direction communication is working), but when Device sends the Data unable to receive that data on the HOST(IN direction communication is not working). I'm unable debug this. Also tried from (https://controllerstech.com/usb-cdc-device-and-host-in-stm32/) this website still the same problem, Data is not Received by Host , Idk what is the reason can anybody help me out with this. thanks

I'm working with a nucleo 401RE and a x-nucleo ISK 01A3 as hardware and algobuilder and unicleo-GUI as software. If I measure, for example, the rotation vector 9X throughout the day and save the output datalog using Unicleo-GUI, the timestamp shows that every hour and a quarter taking values, there is no data until hour and a half later, also the last timestamp shows that around 48h of data, so there is no data loss, just some weird cyclic jump error on the timestamp. This error doesnt show up on Unicleo-GUI's user messages, just on the .csv timestamp generated. How can i overcome this issue?Any help is appreciated, thanks
