Solved

Hi STM Community, I was trying to use USART2 on NUCLEO-G491RE board, but it is disabled from the start. It is highlighted in Pink and I am not able to edit it.  Can you please tell me how to make it work ? Thank you. Appreciate it. Regards, STMUSER

Dear Team,Currently, we have developed a prototype with an ESP32 and the prototype meets all the functionalities. However, we are now having some troubles scaling it to production. So now we are looking to migrate our product to using STM MCU. We have found STM32H573I-DK closely matching to all the peripherals we require for our product. Basically, we need WiFi, 1x Ethernet, 1x SPI, 1x I2S (for Microphone input, can be analog too with external codec), 1x I2C and a handful of GPIOs. We would also like to have 16MB flash memory and 2MB of RAM for backward compatibility with the ESP32, but STM Discovery Kits dont seem to support such high flash & RAMs. An FPU would be also nice to have feature. Looking forward to your suggestions.

Hello, I am using B-L072Z-LRWAN1 in a project. I have one board acting as a transmitter and 3 boards acting as receivers. My question is: Is it possible to transmit and receive with a rate of 5kHz with is every 0.2ms a 30 byte payload using LoRa?

Hello, so I am using two RAK3172 and trying to run SubGHz_Phy_PingPong example as it is, but it is not working This is the log on both end, I attached the screenshot of one device, I also tried by doing iq inversion on both the devices, but it's still same. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

I followed the instructions on https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/index.php?title=STM32MPU_Distribution_Package&sfr=stm32mpu to flash my build image on my STM32MP15. After step 6: Where I build the image with the command "bitbake st-image-weston" I go to "STM32MPU-Ecosystem-v5.0.0/Distribution-Package/build-openstlinux-weston-stm32mp15-disco/tmp-glibc/deploy/images/stm32mp15-disco/flashlayout_st-image-weston/optee/FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157f-dk2-optee.tsv" (From Developer Package (SDK) have been built for this st-image-weston image in the documentation). When I tried to flash it to the board with "STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -w FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157f-dk2-optee.tsv" I received "Error: File does not exist: /home/nesnes/STM32MPU-Ecosystem-v5.0.0/Distribution-Package/build-openstlinuxweston-stm32mp15-disco/tmp-glibc/deploy/images/stm32mp15-disco/flashlayout_st-image-weston/optee/st-image-bootfs-openstlinux-weston-stm32mp15-disco.ext4 Error: TSV flashing service failed" Even

Hello, recently I was testing HTTP webserver project on a NUCLEO-F429ZI board and it works ok. I have created a driver for LAN9303 (dual port PHY) tested it using shield based on this https://github.com/ATM-HSW/MbedOS-with-LAN9303After it worked, I successfully modified my project to use HTTPS and it works ok, but it is really slow. I guess that is the case when there is no hardware crypto. Which MCU would be sufficient for task of running HTTPS webserver stored in flash? I guess 2MB flash is minimum (1MB for firmware and 1MB for server contents), but what kind of peripherals are required for hardware HTTPS crypto? Also, would that be difficult to implement offloading crypto operations to hardware? Or should the compiler take care of that?I found this model: STM32H573RIV6, but I don't know if it has proper hardware for HTTPS. Is it a good choice? If not, please could anyone suggest proper MCU model? Thanks

I want to develop an inverter with STM32H723, but I have not used ST's MCU for power supply before, so I would like to ask if there are suitable examples for reference, or what suggestions are there in the software framework. Thank you!

I heard that ST has extended the lifetime of the L0, L1 and L3.  Can you tell me what the new dates are and where on the website I can find them?

Hi, Could you provide the static library for Smart Presence Detection compatible with Android (both 64-bit and 32-bit), as well as ARM Linux (both 64-bit and 32-bit)?

Hi,I am working with a ST25DV64. I succeeded reading and writing via I2C. I can also read via RF interface. But I have not succeeded writing via RF interface.I checked the static registers and there is no write protection,  I have one area and RFA1SS = 0.Do I miss something? Thanks for your help

Hi Sir, What's the max output current? There only shows the min current 20mA of Io.Thank you.@STLD40D@Led

Below is my main.c file. I'm wanting to scan analog pins PA0 and PA1. They work individually when not using DMA, but when I try to use DMA, the analog values are read once and then never updated after that. Any ideas?  /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2024 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of this software component. * If no LICENSE file comes with this software, it is provided AS-IS. * ****************************************************************************** */ /* USER CODE END Header */ /* Includes ------------------------------------------------------------------*/ #include "main.h" /* Private includes --------

Hi,I have STEVAL-MKI109v3 board and steval-mki186v1 sensor. I need some source code or library code which I can use to write a application which meets my requirements. And I also want to know which IDE I should be using to write the application so that I can flash the application on the the evaluation board. Will I be able to use the USB for flashing the code. Please provide some links which might also be useful in learning about the example codes. Thanks,Akhil

I am trying since a couple of days to implement a CAN Bus communication for my above mentioned board without success. I wish to do this using the Registers only. Can someone give some hints on how I should proceed? or a link?. Thanks in advance.

HiI am a complete beginner when it comes to Smart Cards/Javacards, Secure MCUs and NFC.We specialize in Bitcoin/Crypto Custody and are exploring Smart Card (Javacard) based secure storage of end-user private-keys.We want to design and manufacture a Javacard based Smartcard with ePaper display that shows details about the operation being performed on the Smartcard. And we want this smartcard to be a passive device without any battery just like normal smartcard. So the ePaper display has to be powered by the energy harvested from NFC.After initial exploration, we found that we need to use ST33 Secure MCU connected to a ePaper display through SPI along with ST25DV-I2C NFC chip to enable the NFC interaction with Smartphones and harvest RF energy to power the MCU and display. We want to do the exact same thing as described in Application Note - AN5233 with a ST33 Secure MCU instead of STM32 MCU. This is as far as we could get and do not know how to proceed further. Any help in this rega

Hello,I wonder if anyone in the community knows anything about this:I ordered the steval-edukit kit found here:https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/steval-edukit01.html#overview I only got the motor controller. The website claims it is a full kit and includes the list below, which I did not get. I've been trying to get some support with no success.Has anyone tried to order this kit? If yes, what did you receive? Did you get the items below or just an expensive $175 motor controller? Thanks a lot! Website claims to include:Rotary inverted pendulum kit for educationIncluded stepper motor and quadrature rotary encoderLow cost and easy to assemble interlocking acrylic frameIncluded power supply (100-240 V): 12 V, 1 ABased on the NUCLEO-F401RE development boardX-NUCLEO-IHM01A1 expansion board with L6474PD microstepping motor driverOpen source educational material available

Hi,The BOM and almost all pictures of X-STM32MP-GNSS2 include a Taoglas antenna.Could you verify if an antenna is actually included or not, if I order an X-STM32MP-GNSS2?

I got the STM32W55 MCU.We keep receiving an event from the stack:Event type: 0xff -->   HCI_VENDOR_SPECIFIC_DEBUG_EVT_CODE  Event e-code: 0x04   /* ACI_HAL_END_OF_RADIO_ACTIVITY_EVENT code */ #define ACI_HAL_END_OF_RADIO_ACTIVITY_VSEVT_CODE 0x0004U   We receive it in an infinite loop.Can you please advice?

Hello all,I'm using STM32MP135F-DK, taking picture with GC2145 camera and converting 1600x1200 raw image to png/jpeg formats to use later. I'm doing these according to the document at below link:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP13_V4L2_camera_overviewI calculated how much time spent for below script:##### 2 MP Setup media-ctl -d /dev/media0 --set-v4l2 "'gc2145 1-003c':0[fmt:RGB565_2X8_BE/1600x1200@1/20 field:none]" media-ctl -d /dev/media0 --set-v4l2 "'gc2145 1-003c':0[fmt:RGB565_2X8_BE/1600x1200@1/20 field:none]" media-ctl -d /dev/media0 --set-v4l2 "'dcmipp_parallel':0[fmt:RGB565_2X8_BE/1600x1200]" media-ctl -d /dev/media0 --set-v4l2 "'dcmipp_parallel':1[fmt:RGB565_2X8_LE/1600x1200]" media-ctl -d /dev/media0 --set-v4l2 "'dcmipp_dump_postproc':0[fmt:RGB565_2X8_LE/1600x1200]" ##### 2 MP Capture v4l2-ctl --set-fmt-video=width=1600,height=1200,pixelformat=RGBP --stream-mmap --stream-count=1 --stream-to=grab-1600x1200-rgb565.raw ##### 2 MP Convert gst-launch-1.0

I am using an STM32L422RB and I have added the X-Cube-EEPROM SW package (version 3.0.0). After intensive use I noticed that the eEEPROM driver is actually writing 64 bits of 0's to my emulated EEPROM space on every device power up or wakeup.  On further investigation this is linked to the function EE_Init which calls the function VerifyPagesFullWriteVariable(0U, 0U) and according to the code comments performs a dummy write of 0 to get rid of potential instability of line value 0x0xFFFFFFFF consecutive to a reset during write here. Why is this done and can this behaviour be avoided as this is effectively wearing out the flash needlessly, my application needs to go in and out of Standby regularly to save power and these writes will create non-negligible Flash wear. Hello,I am trying to capture images from OV5640 on STM32MP135F-DK.When I connect GC2145 camera, I succesfully list devices like below:I removed GC2145 on the ST camera board and connected OV5640, like below image: But when i try to list devices, /dev/media0 is not visible. How can i get images from OV5640?

Is the PD85004 part discontinued? We wonder if you have any remaining stock to make the power module with that part. And I was wondering if there are any parts or subsequent parts that are an alternative to that.

Hi,I am conducting a rapid object detection test using the VL53L4CX sensor. I am moving an object towards the sensor at approximately 5 km/h and aiming to light an LED if the object is detected at around 60 cm to measure the sensor's response time. However, when checking the LED with a camera, it lights up at approximately 50 cm. I am trying to determine the cause of this delay. The MeasurementTimingBudget is set to 20 ms. When the object is stationary at 60 cm, the LED lights up as expected. Could the sensor be providing outdated data, or do you have any theories on the potential cause of this delay?

Zigbee PRO specification mentionsI found this function in AN5500: When I try to implement this function, I get a compiler error for 'undefined reference'. I checked zigbee_core_wb.c and indeed there is no implementation for this function. The question is, since this function is not available, then how to develop a zigbee router node on STM32WB platform that will allow joining of other routers and end devices to itself in a mesh network?

So i installed the st-link utility from my.st.com and did all the installation but when i run it, it tells me there are some .dll files missing. Specifically, these are the errors; 1st error; "The code execution cannot proceed because mfc140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem" and the 2nd error is; "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." . So i did exactly that, uninstalled the st-link utility and installed it again but still same problem. Does anyone have the same problem and how, if you fixed it, did you do it?
