Trying to do this.Whilst it can connect using the serial port, nothing come out.  I suspect is that whenever I try to recycle the power (seems no other way to activate the firmware), the /dev/cu* is lost.  Hence, whilst this command is ok after the recycle it is too late for the microcontroller ... Hi, I'm designing a DIY switching power supply around the L6902. Intended output voltage is <22V, input voltage 24V, output current in constant current mode between 0.6 and 0.8A.My questions:the datasheet shows an inductor value of 22uH, is this value independent of output voltage and current? Currently I chose the part SRU1048-220Y, datasheet: https://www.mouser.de/datasheet/2/54/SRU1048-1391431.pdfIs the compensation network also independent of output voltage and current? For neither of the parts I found any further hints in the datasheet, so I thought I'd better ask...Thanks very much in advance for your help!

Background:I'm building a battery-powered device with an extremely tight energy budget (14mAh battery).I take a ranging once every 10 seconds (configurable, can be down to 1s).We need good accuracy indoors in close distances (up to 2m).Outdoors and at larger distances we prefer to have more distance and less precision. For initial testing I set the ranging profile to long and the timing budget to 33ms.My initial choice has been VL53L4CX, based on the datasheet information and my utter lack of experience. However:The device doesn't seem to handle GetMeasurementDataReady correctly - it immediately returns true after I execute StartMeasurement. Test code and code output below.I'm really struggling to lower the power consumption in one-shot mode. It seems that the minimal time needed to acquire a measurement is about 60ms between StartMeasurement and StopMeasurement - really stretching my power budget.I have since learned that VL53L4CX sends the raw data to the host for processing - this is

I'm using the latest version, STM32CubeIDE1.6.1, to develop and debug code for STM32G0B1VE.However, In the SFRs register list I don't even see the USB or FDCAN registers!!!What was wrong? The STM32G0B1VE claimed the support of USB and FDCAN. Where are they?

How do I rename (proper way) an STM32 project? If I press F2 I can rename the name of the project, but the project folder still have the same name. If I change the name of the folder, then I get errors. Why?Is there a proper way to rename a project?I'm using STM32CubeIDE 1.3.0.

Hi together,I have the STM32WB55CG and plan to integrate it into a smart home Zigbee network, that uses the Tuya Gateway and is controlled by Smartlife app.I have found several examples on how they communicate with each other (network of STMs), however I cannot manage to integrate it with the existing products.Do you have an example (preferrably complete CubeIDE project), to just get the integration running? The later plan is to control LEDs, however first of all I want to get the connection running and maybe an exemplary send or receive message. Thanks

good morning. I want to implement a can loopback on my STM32H755, but when I enable FCAN1, then my clock can't resolve it issues and shows this for FDCAN in the picture below. how could I resolve this problem?

I was a bit confused by Table 4 in chapter 7.1.3 page 13. It is UM2823 - Rev 1.The description for [1-2] claims to be the default setting and describes what sounds to me like [7-8] called "USB STL" and the description for [7-8] sounds like external power so [1-2]? Have the information been mixed up?And the table name says JP2 since I am at it :)

Is it possible to get STM32CubeProgrammer running on Linux with amd64 architecture?

Hello, i've recently made a board including a VL53L8 Time of flight sensor connected to an STM32G071 over SPI.I'm using the VL53LMZ api to connect to it and after modifying the platform.c file i've managed to talk to the sensor (vl53lmz_is_alive() sets the IsAlive flag to 1).But all the other functions fail after that, i've managed to track down the problem using the debugger to the line 5 below:   /* Enable FW access */ if (p_dev->revision_id == (uint8_t)REVISION_L8) { status |= WrByte(&(p_dev->platform), 0x7fff, 0x01); status |= WrByte(&(p_dev->platform), 0x06, 0x01); status |= _vl53lmz_poll_for_answer(p_dev, 1, 0, 0x21, 0xFF, 0x4); } else {   within vl53lmz_init().It looks like the L8's register that is being monitored by this function is set to 0 and never changes.I have verified the transmitted data using an oscilloscope and it is sending / receiving the correct data.Since there is very little information provided by ST other than "use

We have a custom STM32MP157 board running Linux that is not booting over eMMC. The STM32MP157 image boots from SD card on SDMMC1 but not from a Toshiba THGBMNG5D1LBAIL eMMC chip connected to SDMMC2. We have confirmed the Boot pins are correct, and the device tree is correct in uBoot and LinuxWe can see 4 partitions of the SD card, and the hardware partitions of the eMMC:  /dev/mmcblk0    (SD Card)  /dev/mmcblk0p1   (fsbl1)  /dev/mmcblk0p2   (fsbl2)  /dev/mmcblk0p3   (ssbl)  /dev/mmcblk0p4   (rootfs)     /dev/mmcblk1 (eMMC)  /dev/mmcblk1rpmb  /dev/mmcblk1boot0  /dev/mmcblk1boot1I have tried copying the entire SD card over to mmcblk1 using:dd if=/dev/mmcblk0 of=/dev/mmcblk1I've also tried unlocking the mmcblk1bootX partitions and copying over the SPL and uboot partitions. Schemes I have tried are a co

Hi i am struggling in how to boot from the EMMC not from the SD card , i used the custom board where my emmc is connected to SDMMC2 port , i did changes into the device tree i enable the sdmmc2, but i do not know how to boot from the emmc ?,actually my custom board based on the (STM32MP157D -Dk1), there is no EMMC but in custom board i added the emmc with SDMMC2 channel, so please help me out this situation how to boot ,please Ignor my basic question i am the frasher and doing own self, i need your support for learn.

Is it possible to use a Qi2 rx coil with magnetic array on a stwlc38 design? The goal is to use a Qi2 charger and reap the benefits of magnetic alignment and 15W charging while still being on the Qi1.3 standard of the stwlc38.

Hello,Is there a way to add Interaction to every Screen?I want to have power-off button Interaction which should appear to every screen. This common Interaction would be addition to the other interactions added in Designer.I figured I could add handleKeyEvent() to FrontendApplication, but that will override all Interactions from all of the Screens. Is this possible? If I have 100 screens, do I need to individually add this Interaction to all of them? I hope not, that would be impossible to maintain. Thanks!

CubeMX generated project defines #define LWIP_RAND() ((u32_t)rand()) which fails with the following call stack...and the following assert textassertion "REENT malloc succeeded" failed: file "/build/gnu-tools-for-stm32_12.3.rel1.20240612-1315/src/newlib/newlib/libc/stdlib/rand.c", line 82Line 82 of rand.c is: _REENT_CHECK_RAND48(reent); which in turn ends up calling a malloc... I've read that reentrancy in newlib could cause problems, but I thought it would be memory corruption. Is there a solution for this? Thanks in advance!

Hello, everyone! MCU: STM32F765ZIT. FLASH size: 2MB. I have a problem when running my firmware, with FreeRTOS, with or without a debugger. My code is crashing in the HAL_Init() function when nDBoot¹ is enabled. When I initialize the code through the debugger, it enters the HAL_Init()² function and crashes when trying to execute the HAL_MspInit() line, but I suspect that the problem actually occurs in the previous function, HAL_InitTick(TICK_INT_PRIORITY)³. My function uses Timer 7 as the default for the FreeRTOS tick, as recommended by ST itself when using this middleware. For testing purposes, I modified the HAL_InitTick function so that it would be similar to the HAL default⁴. Even after this modification, it did not work. So, after further testing, I decided to disable nDBoot (setting it as checked by STM32CubeProgrammer) and then the code worked perfectly. nDBank remained unchecked. The problem is that now, without nDBoot enabled, I can no longer use dual boot mode and switch banks

Hi all.I recently purchased both of the above displays.  They are mounted on a NUCLEO-H503RB and a NUCLEO-U575ZI respectively.  Both NUCLEO boards are supported in TouchGFX Designer V4.24.0. So I should be good to go. I am proficient enough navigate the TouchGFX environment and produce working simulations, generate code for CubeIDE,  navigate CubeIDE/CubeMX etc. etc.  I am having trouble though, enabling the joystick button functionality in a working project.I have done quite a bit of research, googling, reading documentation, watching YouTube videos and such but can not seem to find a step-by-step guide that explains clearly the steps I need to take to get the joysticks working. Let's say, for example, I want to use button '4' and button '6' on the joystick to switch between screen1 and screen2 on the display.  Should be simple enough!  Is there a suitable tutorial for this or, can someone offer their knowledge to help me achieve this? The

Hello @STTwo-32 @Remi QUINTIN , I have a question regarding the BLE pairing process. After following the tutorial from ST on BLE security regarding pairing and bonding, the passkey authentication is happening only when the user requests to read a characteristic value. But in our case, we would like to have the pairing with passkey whenever the user wants to connect to the device. I have seen the example of the BLE _HID in the STM32CubeWB SDK, but i could not find the any relevant APIs that are calling the pairing request function during the connection. There is also no .ioc file for this project. Could you please provide information regarding this example? From the pm0271 document, we can initiate a pairing procedure using the "aci_gap_peripheral_security_req()" on the peripheral device. What is the correct procedure to call this function for the pairing to happen with passkey when the user tries to connect to the device? is this the correct function to call?Because from

I created a project in TouchGFX Designer for the Nucleo-H563ZI dev kit as suggested by ST for projects that use TouchGFX.  Once created I imported the existing project into STM32CubeIDE which was fine, however the project explorer in STM32CubeIDE does not show the .ioc file even though it exists in the actual project files.I tried to copy a link to the .ioc into the CubeIDE project explorer but when I try to open it the IDE says it's not part of the project, however I can open it in CubeMX and generate files just fine.  What am I missing?

Hi, is any possibility to protect editing code generated with in STM32Cube. I sometimes made some mistake and change the generated code. It would by good, if it is in STMCube some toggle button, that I can enable disable editing the the code generated with STMCube. The user code would be editable every time. The best solution would be if the not editable text code will be sad or grey.

Problem: ADC reading a battery voltage jump by twice as much when the battery voltage goes from just under 3.55V to anything above (jump is about 1000 in raw adc reading at 12 bits). Background:We have a custom board with STM32G0B1CB on which we are trying to measure the battery voltage.VREF+ pin is tied to VDD which is fed by a DCDC at 3.5VThe battery can go from 2.75 to 4.5V and is fed to channel 1 (PA1) through a 100K : 100K resistor divider giving a max voltage on PA1 of 2.25V. The battery voltage is currently fed from voltage supply that is changed from 2.75V to 4.5V. As mentioned earlier, at around 3.55V the adc reading has a big jump of close to a 1000 raw value at 12 bit which is just baffling. I am trying to get a curve of adc raw value vs. battery voltage and this jump just breaks the pattern.  Here is the zephyr overlay file:&adc1 {    #address-cells = <1>;    #size-cells = <0>;    vref-mv = <3450>;  &nbs
