While implementing EEPROM emulation on an STM32G0 (although I believe this would apply to all supported families) I have discovered what I believe to be a bug in eeprom_emul.c:Although ConfigureCrc() is called at the beginning of EE_Init to turn on the CRC block clock, it is not similarly called at the beginning of EE_Format and I believe it should be.The effect of this is that if you call EE_Format first to configure the EEPROM emulation pages and then write some values in, the CRCs are all written to zero. On subsequent power/reset cycles, when usign EE_Init, ConfigureCRC is called, allowing the CRCs to be caculated correct from there on, although subsequent reads using EE_ReadVariablexxbits fail due to bad CRC, since the stored CRCs are all zero.Adding ConfigureCrc(); at the beginning of EE_Format fixes the issue.EE_Status EE_Format(EE_Erase_type EraseType) { uint32_t page = 0U; ConfigureCrc(); //***BUG FIX*** /* Check if the configuration is 128-bits bank or 2*64-bit

Hello all,Regarding the STM32H725 bulk capacitors:Question 1:Is the capacitors required values taken into consideration the capacitance degradation Vs DC bias? For example:The SMPS input required is 4.7uF (10uF recommended)Looking at the STM32H735G-DK (Evaluation board) bill of materials, C(in) of SMPS is a 10uF/4V in a 0402 case.Under 3.3V, this capacitance drops to ~3uF. to achieve 10uF under 3.3V there in no choice but to use 0603 case size and at least 22uF of capacitance:In other words, the evaluation board input capacitance does not meet the specs.Between 0402 and 0603 there is a great difference at tight board design - and this is only one example.Question 2:Looking at AN5419 - to achieve best performance for the SMPS input, it is recommended to use 10 μF + 4.7 μF capacitors. What is the benefit of using two different but so close value capacitors? why don't just use 2x10uF?Maybe the 4.7uF supposed to be at smaller case capacitor with lower ESL than the 10uF capacitor?I

Hello,I just bought a STM32F746G-DISCO from Mouser (STM32F746G-DISCO STMicroelectronics | Mouser). After it arrived, the LCD and touch screen were working well. However, after I downloaded the demo project (STM32F746G-DISCO Control LED from GUI v3.0.6) in the TouchGfx 4.22.1, there is not anything displayed. Also I removed the TouchGfx and installed a version, 4.21.3, but there is not any luck. The board is the blue one. The label on the front is 'STM32F746G-DISCO DK32F746G$CU2', and the label on the back is 'MB1191-F746-C01 / C222103562'.I found in the previous discussions, the hardware has been changed from version B to version C.QSPI Micron N25Q128A13EF840F changed in MT25QL128ABA1EW9-0SIT (reached B-05)LCD Rocktech RK043FN48H-CT672B changed in KUNJIAN HT043C (reached B-05)MEMS ST MP34DT01TR-M changed in ST IMP34DT05TR (reached C-01)Oscillator NDK NZ2520SB 25MHz END4869B changed in NDK NZ2520SH 25MHz END4869C (reached C-01)Oscillator NDK NZ2520SB 24MHz E

Greetings, I'm attempting to use the RRCW (Rotate Word Right Logical through Carry) instruction (op code 56), but it is giving unexpected results on bit 15.The documentation on PM0044 (pg 138/162) says: "Bit 15 of the result is a copy of the CC.C bit value before the operation." Later in the same page it says for the CC.C bit: "C ⇒ b0 Set if, before the shift, the MSB of register or memory was set, cleared otherwise." I take this to mean this op code will take 0b0000000000000001, and result in 0b1000000000000000. However, what I get instead varies, but most often results in either 0b000000000000000 (entire word cleared) or 0b110000000000000 (two bits out of word set). The following assembler uses asxxxx, but regardless of the specific assembler used I can confirm the actual bytes sent to program flash are for op code 56 in this situation:ldw x, #0x1 rrcw x ; 0b1000000000000000, good rrcw x ; 0b1100000000000000, bad rrcw x ; 0b0110000000000000, bad

Hi,during development I work with the CubeIDE and use JLink, it connects to the SWD-port of my STM-board properly and works like a charm within the IDE.Now we're about to program loads of different boards. From my understanding this is where the CubeProgrammer shoukd be used. But when starting it, the JLink is not recognised, it only tells me about some ST-Link which could not be found (which is correct as it does not exist). So how/where do I have to configure the CubeProgrammer to work with the JLink? Thanks!

Hi,I have been using Mem Read and Write for my project involving STM32 and ST25DV64K. These functions have been working for me previously but now they return HAL ERROR. I used to encounter this when I was inputting the wrong address but I have since corrected that. I have attached my current project and previously working project. 1. What does HAL ERROR actually indicate? 2. Why might these functions no longer work? Thanks.

TL;DR: is there an "ST approved" method to put have a custom machine's CubeMX project AND generated code under source control?I am trying to do something similar to OP's goal in this post, which didn't receive a full response, I think.I have also gone through the "create your own machine" guide and I managed to generate a custom machine, except a couple of snags (e.g. CubeMX 6.12 adds a CA7/ element to the generated device tree path, which the guide seems to ignore, I guess it's out of date?).Now, this work needs to go to source control somehow, and the guide doesn't provide any guidance on how to do that. One option would be to fork meta-st-stm32mp-addons, point your manifest to your fork and store your work there. This has a minor drawback (the need to keep your fork up-to-date with the official meta-st-stm32mp-addons), but also it seems to be explicitly discouraged by the meta-st-stm32mp-addons repo, since it puts the mx folder in .gitignoreAnother option, which would

I am a beginner and learning I2C DMA, could you tell me what I'm doing wrong?I connected the LCD to Blue Pill and it works fine with function "HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit" i.e. without DMA!But, when DMA is configured, it is dosn't works!Very simple code, but I can not find a mistake!Link to my main.c https://pastebin.com/cz7b2Bbu

Greetings.I have a project I developed on ESP32 (CH340 Chip). For some reasons, the project got messy, and I would like to migrate to a new board. I have an STM32 Nucleo which gave me a lot of satisfaction, but for this project I need something-Small -Wifi Capable-With at least a dozen ports (PWM, NFC, Analog etc)-That supports protocols for talking with Siri/Alexa/GNest (I bet this is on libraries) -Can run an Http server -Economic wouldn't be bad.I was thinking something like the BluePill, but there isn't any version with buitl-in wifi. My environment for development shall be Keil Studio. An you suggest something?Thank you a lot for the attentionMarco

Hello,Basically i am trying to measure distance to a hand that moves above the sensor, returned distance is used to light leds approximately at hand height. My problem is that hand is probably to small object or its reflectivity is not enough that above 1 meter with VL53l1x and above 1,7m at best with VL53l3x the hand disappears and i am out of ideas how or if even is it possible to improve range so i can detect the hand over 2m distance.there will eventually be mirrors behind the hand, but at this point I don't think it will affect the results.Any ideas that can help me with this project??Best regards!

The STM32H573I Discovery circuit diagram (MB1677) shows pin18 of the STMod+ connector going to PB12.This should be the BOOT pin of the MXCHIP EMW3080B (MB1400)But H5 Cube configures PB0 as BOOTSTM32Cube_FW_H5_V1.3.0\Projects\STM32H573I-DK\Applications\NetXDuo\Nx_Iperf_wifi\Core\Inc\main.h#define MXCHIP_BOOT_Pin GPIO_PIN_0#define MXCHIP_BOOT_GPIO_Port GPIOBIs there a documentation error or have I got something wrong? Thanks

Hello ST Community,I am seeking guidance on how to properly configure the VDD50USB and VDD33USB pins on our STM32 device when we are not utilizing the USB functionality. The explanations provided in the datasheet and application notes are somewhat ambiguous and do not explicitly address the scenario where the USB functionality is not utilized.Could anyone provide detailed instructions or best practices for configuring these pins in such cases? Thank you!

Hi,The pespective icons have dissapeared, how to get them back please ?Thank you

Can someone confirm that the STM32WB10CC does not come pre-programmed with the BLE stacks? I'm assuming they are not pre-programmed, because I've used FUS in STM32CubeProgrammer to see if I can Start Wireless Stack.  When I do, a message pops up stating that an image was not found.  If my assumption is correct, does anyone have a better way than STM32CubeProgrammer to program the stacks for production on a custom STM32WB10CC board?  It seems to me that the binary output from CPU1 and the stack binaries for CPU2 can be linked and placed in a common binary for a single download at a CM.  Thanks!

Programming the stm32f103c6 and stm32h753zi chips, without NuCLeo or Discovery, only chip, connections, pins, ports etc.. where can I find information, thanks!!

Issue Description:  My code is divided into two parts, namely the APP area and the TRIM area. When I merge the code of these two areas together, there is no problem with programming through Keil. However, when I separate the code for these two areas (with the APP area located in the middle of Flash and the TRIM area at the end of Flash), the programming process results in an error (see Figure 1). My project configuration is shown in Figures 2 and 3.        Phenomenon Description:  It's worth noting that this issue has not occurred on my computer but rather on a colleague's computer. I have attempted to troubleshoot by replacing the development board and using a different ST LINK on my colleague's computer, but the error persists.      Platform Environment:Keil Version: V5.36.0.0Microcontroller (MCU): STM32L451CEUxProgrammer: ST_LINK （Figures 1）（Figures 2）（Figures 3）     Can you please adv

Greetings!Since the sensors VL53L8CX, VL53L7CX and VL53L5CX have many similar features, I would like to know if it is possible to use for example VL53L8CX-ULD-API Driver with VL53L7CX TOF sensor?

Hi Because power-off protection is required, the times or variables need to be stored in flash。Is my solution reasonable?Create a space inside the flash to define variables, and read the data after powering on the computer. Then there is a problem with data accumulation ， inside the my program the define variables be accumulated， because the data is stored inside the flash. Does the change of data require special processing? HAL_FLASH_Unlock()How to define variables inside flash, please give a program example。Thank you

i have downloaded the developer package so the steps i followed for developer package wasi downloaded the MP1-DEV-x86 from st websiteFor x86_64 host architecture i Uncompressed the tarball file to get the SDK installation script. and Ran the SDK installation script. for x-linux-qt developer package i downloaded the below file(but my board is stm32mp157d-dk1)i followed these steps does this bellow sdk add on work only with stm32mp2

I'm applying ID masking for filtering in the FDCAN protocol, but it's not working. The sensor I'm using has an ID of 315. In the code, I've set it to only receive messages with an ID of 320, but it's also receiving messages with an ID of 315, which it shouldn't. The same issue is mentioned in this link: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/help-with-fd-can-filter/td-p/585525. I'm configuring all the code settings, but ID filtering in CAN FD is not working. Can anyone explain why this is happening???

I'm building a simple application that collects environmental data from sensors (pressure, temperature and humidity) using the B-U585I-IOT02A development board. Since I want to deploy the node directly on the field, I'm planning to power the board using several AA batteries through the VIN pin.In order to estimate the battery life, I tried to measure the power consumption of the chip only using JP3, and of the entire board with a source meter in VIN.Regarding the consumption of the chip alone, I get an average of 2 mA, a value that seems consistent with what is stated in the manual. While for the whole board, I get about 170 mA on average with a 5 V supply. Also, I notice that the ST-LINK debugger remains unnecessarily powered. Why is the total consumption of the board so high? What can I do to reduce the consumption and have a longer battery life? Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to create a custom widget in touchgfx using code, specifically in stm32cubeide? I would like to start with a blank screen and add a custom widget that I design through code. What are the steps involved in achieving this, including creating the widget class, integrating it into the screen, and ensuring it functions correctly?

I am using a NUCLEO board with a STM32H7A3 MCU for lab classes in engineering. I am giving basic notions for the inner workings of most digital peripherals, so I am avoiding using HAL functions. Using basic CMSIS macros, we can use register names and bit masks to program the peripherals, helping students to understand the interaction between software and hardware. Now it is time to work on the I2C interface. We connected a 24C16 I2C EEPROM with SCL to PB8 and SDA to PB9, and external pull-ups. Then we tested the interface and the EEPROM, writing a program using CubeXM and HAL, which works perfectly. Then I proceeded to read the I2C chapter in the manual and write code to initialize the I2C interface (at 100kHz) and to write a sequence of bytes to the EEPROM. When I tested it, though, the program froze at TXIS flag test: the flag is never set. Then I connected a logic analyzer to the SDA and SCL pins, and noticed the SDA pin working correctly, sending the "10100000" sequence (device addr

Hi everyone,Help please,Im using CubeMX 5.0 with STM32F407 Disco board, I had activated the HSE clock to be the clock system with 168 MHz (HCLK on the clock tree of CubeMX).Im tryning then to get the CPU clock, ( to introduce it in the Basic systik manipulation)But when generating the project, I noticed that the following function;uint32_t HAL_RCC_GetHCLKFreq(void){ return SystemCoreClock;} with uint32_t SystemCoreClock = 16000000;there is something wrong in this value ( it would be HCLK of the clock tree of CubeMX) or im wrong in my analyzing? Then how can i get the system clock? there is already an implemented function that return directly HCLK?Many thanks
