Posted on February 16, 2017 at 07:28      1>> We understand thatSTM32F769 DCMI(Digital Camera interface) is able to process YCbCr 4:2:2 and RGB 565. We could see sample camera program in STM32Cube with video input as RGB 565 format to DCMI module and displaying  on LCD with RGB888 format. But we are not able to find sample program with YCbCr 4:2:2.  Can anyone please share sample program/related document to test YCbCr 4:2:2 input to the DCM and displaying on LCD.  2.As we know that the IDE/work bench like IAR and Keil has license concerns, we would like to know the suggestion from ST regarding the Free workbench/IDE available for STM32Cube code compilation for STM32F769I-EVAL board.   Thanks,Utpal

I have the NUCLEO-G432RB, which has the STM32G431RB MCU. The datasheet states that the MCU could operate in different ranges to reduce power consumption. For my application, I need to know how much power the MCU consumes, so connecting a multimeter to JP6 (IDD) allowed me to monitor the current consumption. However, I do not know how to make the MCU operate in different ranges to observe the change in the current consumption. First I thought that selecting the range required selecting the frequency (f HCLK) only. However, there are common frequencies between ranges 1 and 2.If anyone knows how to handle this issue please inform me.Note that I am using STM Cube IDE to program the MCU.

Hi, I did a code to select which channel I want to enable in operation according to some parameters when I start the ADC configuration and TMR.I have the ADC2 with ch5 and ch10, this work fine, both channels, or only 1 of them.On ADC1 I have ch2 and ch15, both work fine, only ch15 also, but only ch2 I'm getting strange values on the buffer, more or less 4 times less than what's supposed to be.Someone have any idea of what's happening?Thank you! void start_TMR_ADC_DMA(void){ // Reinitialize the ADCs to start fresh MX_ADC1_Init(); // Reinitialize ADC1 MX_ADC2_Init(); // Reinitialize ADC2 ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0}; // Variables to count the number of active ADC channels uint8_t adc1_num_channels = 0; uint8_t adc2_num_channels = 0; // Configure ADC1 channels based on global variables if (adc1_channel_2 == 1) { // Enable ADC1 Channel 2 sConfig.Channel = ADC_CHANNEL_2; sConfig.Rank = ADC_REGULAR_RANK_1; sConfig.SamplingTime = ADC_SAMPLETIME_16CYCLES_5; sConfi

Hi,In the RFAL library I see that the global variable st25r3916interrupt.status is protected using platformProtectST25RIrqStatus() while writing to this global variable. While reading st25r3916interrupt.status I see that it is not protected using platformProtectST25RIrqStatus() and do you think this will be okay in a multithreaded environment ? Will not this result in reading half-updated value ? For example: See the below code: /*******************************************************************************/uint32_t st25r3916WaitForInterruptsTimed( uint32_t mask, uint16_t tmo ){    uint32_t tmrDelay;    uint32_t status;    tmrDelay = platformTimerCreate( tmo );    /* Run until specific interrupt has happen or the timer has expired */    do    {        status = (st25r3916interrupt.status & mask);    } while( ( (!platformTimerIsExpired( tmrDelay )) || (tmo == 0U)) &

Hi there,As the title, I use a static graph with a line, and I want to change the line's color according the data. But I check the API of static graph in TouchGFX document, I didn't find the function like setColor() or setLineColor().How can I do it by code? Thanks

I would like to know why stlink is connected even though I disabled the debug pin in cubemx.

Hi,as part of an upgrade to a number of products, we are looking at integrating 13.56MHz RFID capabilities into a number of products. Some require only to read an RFID card and others need to read and write such RFID card (no mobile devices or anything else). The RFID card type/protocol we can choose based on the IC (the ISO14443A looks a common one).In all products the RFID reader/reader-writer ICs will be interfacing with an STM32. Time to market is very important so we are looking at some solutions that already have drivers available for at least the basic functionality which is just to:- program an RFID card with a person name or just their ID- read such RFID card details (Unique ID and person name or person ID)That is it... It is just to display data customised to a user preference in a dispensing system. So it does not need to be secure or have extra checks or have any other special feature. Low cost and quick time to market are more important than features. Ideally we

Hi all,I'm using a F103 on my current project. I have trouble using the PA15 as TIM2_CH1 which is connect to a LED. I also have a serial flash connected via SPI on PB3 to PB5. As long as I don't activate the corresponding SPI timer in the RCC_APB1ENR register the LED works. I tried using SPI3 with PB3, PB4 and PB5 and I also tried to remap the SPI1 to use this pins.My question is: Is it possible to use the SPI on PB3 to PB5 and use PA15 as TIM2_CH1?

New to STM32CubeIDE and trying to compile/download examples to STM32MP157C-DK1.It seems that the ST-Link on this particular board is not functioning correctly, both STM32CubeProgrammer and command line suggest that there is 'No device found on target'. C:\Windows\System32>C:\ST\STM32CubeIDE_1.16.1\STM32CubeIDE\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.stlink-gdb-server.win32_2.1.400.202404281720\tools\bin\ST-LINK_gdbserver.exe -p 61234 -l 1 -d -s -cp C:\ST\STM32CubeIDE_1.16.1\STM32CubeIDE\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.cubeprogrammer.win32_2.1.400.202404281720\tools\bin -m 2 -g STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. Hi Touchgfx team! I've this screen requirement  I'm doing it with a custom container list as in the listLayout example. Currently, once I press the audio element, I'm able to move the "on" text to the left, and add the image. Now, I want to update the background color. I'm trying this but it doesn't do anything:void CustomListElement::set_audio_element(int new_x, int new_y){ settings_text.setXY(new_x, new_y); background.setColor(touchgfx::Color::getColorFromRGB(255, 255, 255)); invalidate(); }this is a method in the custom container. The 255 is just for referenceThis is my view where I call the function  void settingsView::listElementClicked(CustomListElement &element) { // The button of the list element has been pressed switch (element.item_index) { case DATE_TIME_INDEX: go_to_date_and_time_screen(); break; case STORAGE_INDEX: go_to_storage_screen(); break; case ABOUT_INDEX: go_to_about_screen(); break; case AUDIO_INDEX: audio_toggle_butt

Hello, I recently got my hands on a Nucleo-U031R8 with a cortex-M0+ processor. My goal is to to reach 52 nA (using usb cable) in shutdown mode, but as of now the lowest i could go is 490 nA.  HAL_SuspendTick(); HAL_PWR_EnterSHUTDOWNMode();  The code above is all I used to enter shutdown mode, is there anything else I should do to reach the lowest possible current usage? Thanks in advance.

Hello,I'm trying to set the voltage to 3.3V on my STEVAL-USBI2CFT adapter, but I'm unclear on how to do this. The user manual (UM3226) mentions setting the voltage via soldering jumper JP4. However, my board has seven solid pads labeled J8, J4, J5, J6, J7, J2, and J3, which don't correspond to the documentation.Could you please advise how to properly set the 3.3V output using these pads? Thanks in advance for your help!

我目前正在从事一个需要使用 STM32F103C8T6 微控制器和标准库进行代码编写的项目。在此过程中，我遇到了 ANT7-T-ST25DV64KC 芯片初始化的问题，一直卡在“while （！I2C_CheckEvent（I2C2， I2C_EVENT_MASTER_MODE_SELECT））;在此步骤中，我还对读取 I2C_SS0_Dyn 数据感到困惑。读出的数据永远是我在 read 函数中写的 slave 地址，有时读出的数据会增加 1。这是我的代码 无效 ST25DV_Init（void）{GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStructure;I2C_InitTypeDef I2C_InitStructure;NVIC_InitTypeDef NVIC_InitStruct; SystemClock_Config（）;  RCC_APB2PeriphClockCmd（RCC_APB2Periph_GPIOB，启用）;   GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_Pin = GPIO_Pin_10;GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_Mode = GPIO_Mode_AF_OD;GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_Speed = GPIO_Speed_50MHz;GPIO_Init（GPIOB， &GPIO_InitStructure）; GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_Pin = GPIO_Pin_11;GPIO_Init（GPIOB， &GPIO_InitStructure）; RCC_APB1PeriphClockCmd（RCC_APB1Periph_I2C2，启用）; I2C_InitStructure.I2C_模式 = I2C_Mode_I2C;I2C_InitStructure.I2C_ClockSpeed = 100000;I2C_InitStructure.I2C_占空比 = I2C_DutyCycle_2;I2C_InitStructure.I2C_Ack = I2C_Ack_Enable;I2C_InitStructure.I2C_AcknowledgedAdd

Hi,I got some problem with using ADC Differential Mode. When I am using ADC Single Ended Mode:Channel 8 Reading: ~8735Channel 9 Reading: ~10907When I am using ADC Differential Mode:Reading: ~7106That's weird. ADC Differential Mode should be subtracting both reading so suppose I should get 8735-10907=-2172? Why I will get 7106? Is it the signing problem? I already use int16_t instead of uint16_tDoes anyone can help me on this?Thank you!!!!

We use STM32F103C8T6 as the main control chip, ST25DV64KC to do the slave and ST25R3911B NFC communication project process, we found that we are very confused about the initialization of ANT7-T-ST25DV64KC, we have been initializing failure in the process of configuring hardware I2C, and through the manual we learned that we need to initialize the FTM mailbox first, we are very confused about the steps to initialize the mailbox, Hopefully it will help us out, and we're using a standard library to write code. Every time I debug, I keep getting stuck in while (!) I2C_CheckEvent(I2C2, I2C_EVENT_MASTER_MODE_SELECT)); this line.  #include "stm32f10x.h" // Device header #include "stm32f10x_i2c.h" #include "delay.h" #include "serial.h" #include "stm32f10x_flash.h" #define ANT7_T_ST25DV64KC_ADDRESS 0x53 void SystemClock_Config(void) { RCC_HSICmd(ENABLE); while (RCC_GetFlagStatus(RCC_FLAG_HSIRDY) == RESET); RCC_SYSCLKConfig(RCC_SYSCLKSource_HSI); RCC_HCLKConfig(RCC_SYSCL

Hello,I am using the STM32H563RGT6. I am using the OCTOSPI peripheral to connect a quad spi connection a flash chip. I can successfully read the status registers on the flash chip, send the write enable command, write an erase command to address 0x0, read status register 1 and wait for BUSY flag to clear, then send the write enable command again. However, when I go to erase the next block at addr 0x10000, and the HAL_XSPI_FLAG_TC never gets set in the HAL_XSPI_Command function. All of the write commands to this point use the following regular command settings:XSPI_RegularCmdTypeDef sCommand = { 0 };sCommand.OperationType = HAL_XSPI_OPTYPE_COMMON_CFG;sCommand.IOSelect = HAL_XSPI_SELECT_IO_3_0;sCommand.Instruction = cmd;sCommand.InstructionMode = HAL_XSPI_INSTRUCTION_1_LINE;sCommand.InstructionWidth = HAL_XSPI_INSTRUCTION_8_BITS;sCommand.InstructionDTRMode = HAL_XSPI_INSTRUCTION_DTR_DISABLE;sCommand.Address = addr;sCommand.AddressMode = HAL_XSPI_ADDRESS_1_LINE;sCommand.AddressWi

Hi everyone, I am using STM32H747I-DISCO. I want to use ST-LINK  V3E port for UART communication port. I am configuring USART1 and using the HAL_UART_TRANSMIT function. After download the code I close the ST-Link connection and using a serial terminal to see the result but nothing happend. What am I missing?

I am using an STM32F407 to communicate with an LTC1760 dual battery charger via SMBus.If I restrict my queries to either the LTC1760 alone or a battery, the communication is flawless. However, the moment I switch from addressing LTC1760 to a battery or vice-versa, the latter does not respond at all.It would be great if someone could help me figure out the underlying cause of the issue.PFB the connection diagram set up.

Since it took a tremendous amount of effort in getting CMake working within STM32CubeIDE, I'd thought I'd share a method of getting it done. I've only tested this working in Windows. Many an hour could have been saved if ST, in their infinite wisdom, did not disable the Toolchain tree entry in the project C/C++ properties!Disclaimer: I'm not an experienced Eclipse user, so there is a very good chance that the steps below are not the correct way of doing things, and in future, ST might lock-down or hide more UI rendering these steps useless - you have been warned! There are a huge number of steps required, so this is not for the fainthearted!Prerequisite: You must have an existing CMake GNU Arm project up and running, if not, find out how set one up, or use CLion to create a CMake project from an existing STM32CubeMX .ioc.For the steps, I'm using the following folder layout (adjust to fit your preferences):Source (source code, folders, etc) build .. this where I set CMake to run the bu

Hello, So I am trying to make my freshly bought ST25DV64KC- DISCO work.I was trying to run the firmware update with NFC connectivity with the iOS NFC tap application. It was not working, since for the firmware update demo with FTM, kept complaining about a newer firmware version.Firstly, How am I supposed to update firmware without NFC connectivity? Anyway, then I tried to update the firmware with the PC NFC application by STM.But sadly that also did not work since the board did not connect at all with PC application. So to manually update the firmware, I tried to do it with CUBE application which STM provides.I installed this software, and provided it with hex file inside the prject directory from firmware download directly from stm website. And thal also did not work. And worst is that now my board is stuck with a black screen, no interface, and I canot do anything with it. Can anyone guide how I can factory reset with the original firmware atleast. Or any way I can

Hi,I would like to compile some C++ code based on toolchain used e.g. CubeIDE(gcc-none-abi) vs uVision(clang) vs MSVC vs GxfDesigner. How can I uniquely identify CubeIDE's toolchain? How can I view the toolchain's intrinsic defines? Thanks

I connected these 2 kits in some PC but cannot connect to USB HID as shown in picturesHowever when I unplugged the cable, the text "ST25R3911 Reader Board Removed" shown as in picture below. The USB status always in red, no board detection. I search google for event "Device settings not migrated" and tried to fix all the methods,eg. uninstall, remove device driver, scan pc, etc. Nothing work. The windows 11 driver is shown in below picturePC GUI for both kits were installed in latest version as shown below. The same kits, the same cable connected to the same software GUI in another PC is OKwithout "Device settings not migrated" event in Device manager.Any solution, driver to fix this error? Please advise.Best Regards and Thanks in advance.

Cubeide 1.13 and CubeMX 6.9 can generate the valid code for stm32mp157,but Cubeide 1.14 and CubeMX 6.10 can not! is there a bug or the CubeMX 6.10 have some change for stm32mp157?. How do you know how big the preallocated static buffer should be when calling cmox_rsa_construct?Does this depend on the RSA key size that will be used?Does this depend on the Modular Exponentiation function that is selected (LOWMEM, MIDMEM, HIGHMEM)?Thanks!

We are using the STUSB4700 in our PD implementation as a source. We have encountered an issue where it seems like the output is constantly switched on/off/on/off with about 500ms on, 200ms off timing.Below is the schematic which connects to a USB type C connector and a SoM. Please note that we are aware that PD_1V2 should not be connected to the gates of the power FETs and we have patched this on the board we are testing with. Also, to make sure there is no interference from the SoM, the reset and alert line have been cut as well.So to summarize the behaviour:The input voltage is 5V and seems stable when no device is connected. We connect a USB PD enabled sink device through USB and see that the PD negotiation is working. The output is shortly as expected and device is charging. After about 500ms, the VBUS_EN_SRC is released which forces the fets to open and the output drops to 0V.After about 500ms this cycle repeats. The input voltage seems stable for the most part with about a 1.4V
