Hi all,I'm new to using the STM secure boot/secure firmware update and I'm trying to understand how the verification works when sending a new firmware image to the board. I got SBSFU running on an STM32H750B-DK dev board and successfully loaded the example UserApp program from the SBSFU extension package. I then tried to corrupt the firmware image file by flipping a single bit in a copy of the firmware file created with python script utilizing the shutil.copyfile() method, which from its documentation does not copy file metadata. From what I understand, when I try to load the corrupted image onto the board using Tera Term and selecting the "Download a new Fw image" option, after verifying the keys the SBSFU should verify the integrity of the new firmware image by checking both the header and the rest of the file compared to the current image. Is my understanding correct? Or does the SBSFU only verify the image signature? This brings me to my issue. In some cases, the new corrupted

Hi,where can i find the OTA-Bootloader for STM32WBA55?For STM32WB it is located in the regarding FW-Package in Folder "BLE_Ota", but in the FW-Package of STM32WBA i can't find it there.

I am trying to integrate the a neural network machine learning model into the stm32h755 chip. I downloaded the stmCubeMx, installed X-Cube-Ai, selected the core, added the network using tflite file and then generated the code. I can't find the ai_model_data.c, ai_model_data.h, ai_model.h and some other important files. Could you please provide a detailed steps by step process to integrate the Neural Network in an ALREADY created/ EXISTING project?

Hi!I'm looking for a uC that:It is Cortex-M0 or M0+,It isn't a Low Power device (L series) (no need to include Shottky diodes, and my app will be power hungry)It has internal EEPROM,32 <= LQFP <= 64,It has 20+ free pins, and the most important thing: it must have a VBat pin. A CR2032 coin cell will keep the time and calendar. You might wonder why I didn't use the STM32 mcu product selector chip selector. Of course I did; however, as far as I saw, a column that indicates whether the part has exposed the VBat pin or not doesn't exist. There are myriad of parts to choose from, but it's imposible to review each one. Even worst (or better?), parts with less than 36 pins doesn't exposed the VBat pin. For example, STM32G070 has the VBat pin exposed (LQFP >= 48), but it doesn't have eeprom. In case such a thing doesn't exist, then I'm open to emulate the EEPROM with the mcu Flash, and the most dynamic data will be saved in the battery backedup RTC RAM.  Di

[SOLVED - I found the solution after posting]Hi,the STM32F469 has DSI but when I try to enable it in CubeMX it shows in Italic and greyed out and if I click on it cannot be enabled. See screenshots below. Why is that? How do I enable it?Thank you

Hello ST Community,I am currently working with a motor that isn’t compatible with the motor profiler, so I need to manually input the motor parameters provided in the data sheet. The data sheet specifies the following values:Rs (phase-to-phase) = 16.1 ohmsBack EMF constant = 0.121 V/KrpmLs (phase-to-phase) = 0.140 mHTo correctly enter these values in the configuration, should I input them as:Rs = 16.1 ohmLs = 0.140 mHBack EMF constant = 0.121 Vrms/Krpm ?Or is there a different approach or format I should follow when inputting these parameters?Thank you in advance for any guidance!

Hi,Trying to use I2C1 with REMAP=0 and as long as understand the SCL and SDA pins are PB6 and PB6. Along with I2C I am using some other peripherals as well. I am unable to select PB6 for I2C SCL PIN. Please see attached screenshot. Not sure why it wont let me select that default PIN. I am quite sure I am not using any other MASKED function for this PIN.

HI there STM team! I want to build a embedded linux image where I can load my QT application. I'm installing the starter package following: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP15_Discovery_kits_-_Starter_Package#Checking_the_material but I'm having problems when executing this command:   STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -w flashlayout_st-image-weston/optee/FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157c-dk2-optee.tsv   The download starts but then it says "reconnecting the device..." and it fails with:   Error: Unable to reconnect the target device: time out expired Error: Start operation failed at partition 0x03 Error: TSV flashing service failed   Following other posts it seems there's a problem with the tsv file: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mpus-products/fail-the-image-flashing-on-stm32mpu157f-dk2/m-p/217050#M6509 I downloaded the file and rename it to: FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157f-dk2-optee-trial.tsv Now, when I run this command:   STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port

Hi everyone,I am developing a new project with SMT32H7 MCU series, in which I have added the ITTIA DB middleware.I’m encountering an issue while trying to compile my project using a Makefile. The Makefile was auto-generated, and the error I get during compilation is:make: *** No rule to make target `build/oslib.cpp', needed by `build/M0045-8000_TheHeecapDevice.elf'. Stop. make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....The oslib.cpp file is present in my project directory, but it seems like the Makefile isn’t properly handling the .cpp file. Therefore, I am assuming that there is a problem with the makefile, since it cannot find/build cpp files. What do I have to change in order to compile my project? Here is the makefile attached.

Hi there, I am trying to implement 3 CDC interfaces over USB. I'm using the USB stack generated by CubeMX, I enabled composite devices and call 3 times "USBD_RegisterClassComposite" in my "MX_USB_Device_Init".I am having troubles with endpoint numbering as if I choose the simple sequence:CDC1: 0x81/0x01 + CMD1: 0x82CDC2: 0x83/0x03 + CMD2: 0x84CDC3: 0x85/0x05 + CMD3: 0x86Then CDC 1 and 3 work as expected but I get problems on CDC 2. Testing a bunch of numbers for the endpoints there seams to be a lot of limitations but one sequence that works for my applications is:CDC1: 0x81/0x01 + CMD1: 0x82CDC2: 0x87/0x07 + CMD2: 0x84CDC3: 0x85/0x05 + CMD3: 0x86For some reason, this configuration works. This fixes my problem but I would like to know why. Many combo of endpoints do not work but the number 3 seams to be especially cursed in my tests. Is there a reason for that? I cannot find anything in the doc that would relate to limitations or logics to follow when it comes to endpoint numberin

Hey, I am a beginner in all of this and have been trying to change certain parameters for my VL53L8CX sensor such as sharpening percentage, or converting its standard mm data unit to feet or inches, and I really can not figure it out. I am guessing its inside of the vl53l8cx_api.c file but I cant figure out where to, i am assuming, call a function with the new numbers passed into it. I see the get and set functions for each parameter but I don't think you change it in there? Thanks for the help, I am sure its silly question.

I am using the STM32H743VIT6 LQFP100. I am integrating it into a custom board and looking for the best (easiest, cheapest, fastest) way to program it. This will be in a setting where we would like to just plug in a programmer and hit program; however, we would still like the ability to debug in CubeIDE, if issues do arise. It would be ideal to not have to have an additional power source. I have been interested in the STLINK-V3MINIE. Does this require the MCU to be powered externally, and can we interface to it with CubeIDE? To interface with an STLink device without needing external power outside the STLink probe what pins will i need brought out from the MCU? Thank you

Hello STM32 Community,I’m encountering an issue with the RTC on my STM32L4 microcontroller. When I connect VDD to the VBAT pin (without using a battery), the RTC is not functioning. However, if I use a battery for VBAT, the RTC works fine. Here’s the situation:I’m not using a battery for VBAT, and I’m connecting VDD directly to VBAT.The RTC does not work in this configuration. When I use a battery for VBAT, the RTC works as expected. My Questions:Is there an issue with supplying both VDD and VBAT at the same time, without using a battery for VBAT?Why does the RTC stop working when VDD is connected to VBAT directly, but works fine with a battery? What is the correct setup for powering the RTC when VBAT is connected to VDD instead of using a battery?Any insights or recommendations for solving this would be greatly appreciated!Thank you for your help!

I can't find reference to this component, I'm trying to repair/understand the equipment.  Does anyone recognize this part? Secondly, I couldn't find any reference on the ST website about component identification markings.  A link or reference would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.  Galvin

Hello, I am a developer and I am using the L431RC chip on a custom board. I am using CAN BUS to communicate with the system, and during normal operation (via firmware), there are no communication issues,in fact, everything works quite well. However, I encountered a major issue when trying to access the bootloader via CAN BUS. Essentially, I have run countless tests, but I never receive any response from the bootloader, and I don’t know why. I should mention that I have followed the AN2606 and AN3154 documents to interface correctly, I am using the correct pins (PB8 and PB9), a 16MHz HSE, and TIM16 active as described in the files. To enter the bootloader, I use two external buttons, Reset and Boot. The thing is, I tried accessing the bootloader via UART, and everything works, so the boot circuitry is functioning. I have two STLINK V3 programmers, a SET and a MOD, but neither receives a response; I even tried connecting directly to the CAN's RX and TX (using the appropriate port) via th

Hello AllI am very confused about picking the correct STM32WL for LoRaWAN. There appears to be:STM32WL5MOC - The datasheet says this is a STM32WL55JC - What does the MOC add? Then there is the:STM32WL55CCSTM32WL55JCFrom what I can tell is the CC has less pins. Then we get to buying these:STM32WL55CC (U6) STM32WL55CC (U7)  Whats the difference between U6 and U7 - This is not mentione in the datasheetThe MOC is offered as:STM32WL5MOC (H6TR) STM32WL5MOC (H6STR) Whats the difference between H6TR  and H6STR For development we are considering using the:B-WLM5-SUBG1 development board. This contains the STM32WL5MOC  not sure doesn't say H6STR or H6TRIs there a recommed STLINK-V3  programmer to use with this series?Thank you

I have develop a program on STM32F746G-DISCO revision B02 with QSPI  N25Q128A13EF840ENow the new boards revision C03 use the QSPI W25Q128JVEIQ.I have copied the file W25Q128JVEIQ_STM32F746G-DISCO.stldr from CubeIDE 1.16 to the STM32 ST-LINK Utility\ST-LINK Utility\ExternalLoader but the external loader is not flash.I need to change some in my code to use this new QSPI chip ?

Hello STM Community,I'm currently working on a project involving the ST25DV04KC-IE8C3 NFC chip interfaced with the STM32L496ZG microcontroller. I've encountered an issue where the performance of the NFC chip deteriorates when a magnet is brought near the system, specifically related to the operation of a magnetic switch that generates interrupts.Problem Description:Components: The NFC chip is located approximately 3.6 mm away from a magnetic switch (RR132-2E32-551).Issue: When the magnet is brought close to the magnetic switch, it appears to cause delays in counting and issues with I2C communication. Specifically, I suspect that the magnetic field is affecting the NFC chip's operation, leading to unexpected behaviour or interruptions that impact the STM32’s performance.Effects on System:Interruption in the NFC communication.Possible noise was introduced on the I2C bus.Delays in processing and timing, particularly in counting routines.Troubleshooting Steps:I’ve monitored the interrupt l

Hello, I am getting up and running with the STM32 ZeST Kit to evaluate the HSO capability. Components: 1) STEVAL-LVLP012) B-MOTOR-PMSMA13) B-G473E-ZEST1SI am currently on MDSDK 6.3.1, and Motor Pilot V1.2.11 (MC_FOC_ZEST). I was able to successfully build a profiler project in the workbench, flash it with the CubeIDE, and profile the motor in Motor Pilot. The HSO Start Up Guide provided in the MCSDK 6.3.1 release notes were helpful to this point. I am now looking to tune the current and speed PI gains. My issue is finding the "Rev-up" section for generating speed or torque profiles to play for tuning these gains. Maybe I'm missing something? Is there a document similar to the HSO start up guide for this part? Or is there a section in Motor Pilot I am missing? The motor pilot start up guide seems to still reference MDSDK 6.2.1 and Motor Pilot V1.1.13. https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/STM32MotorControl:STM32_MC_Motor_Pilot_-_Start-up_guide#Rev-up_configu

Hii, have installed motor control workbench and i have stevalspin3202 evaluation board, in motor control workbench while generating code it showing error also i have opened the stm32cubemx and when it completed it is telling completed with error how to solve this issue also i have attached the log file of it.

Hi Guys,I have a problem with erasing Flash sector. I am using STM32F746ZG Nucleo Board. When  I run this code, mcu works perfect it works but I can't install new firmware to mcu. I've also tried example code, same problem. I take (DEV_TARGET_NOT_HALTED) when I run the program.I am getting the same error in debug mode as described in the link below.https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubeide-mcus/how-to-solve-error-finishing-flash-operation-in-stm32cubeide/td-p/53113/page/2Code Here they are FLASH_EraseInitTypeDef FLASH_Erase_Init; uint32_t SectorError; HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); FLASH_Erase_Init.TypeErase = FLASH_TYPEERASE_SECTORS; FLASH_Erase_Init.VoltageRange = FLASH_VOLTAGE_RANGE_3; FLASH_Erase_Init.Sector. FLASH_SECTOR_3; FLASH_Erase_Init.NbSectors = 1; if(HAL_FLASHEx_Erase(&FLASH_Erase_Init, &SectorError) == HAL_OK) HAL_Flash_Lock();  How can i solve it ?

For the life of me I cannot get the I2C pins on my microcontroller to output anything.I am using I2C1 on pins PB6 (SCL) and PB9 (SDA) on the STM32F746VGT microcontroller. The pins are hooked up to a TXS0108E level shifter that has built-in pull up resistors. I have a very simple CubeMX project that initializes I2C1 to Standard Mode and attempts to transmit some data on it every second. All I want to see are some signals on the SDA/SCL lines but I get nothing. I can change the I2C pins to open drain GPIO pins and toggle those and see it on the scope, but when I switch back to I2C I see nothing again.I see the lines stuck either low or high depending on which one I'm probing at the moment. If I reset the MCU then probe the lines, they're both stuck high. They're also stuck high if I reset the MCU while probing SDA. But if I reset the MCU while probing SCL, then both lines get stuck low. So it seems like my oscilloscope has an effect on the transmission. Not sure if that's relate
