Hello, I am doing a project with STM32F411RE NUCLEO board. I have downloaded the zip file from the web builder GRBLHAL. i have attached the file here. And I have successfully imported the zip folder onto the stm32cubeide. So for that project I want to add communication through SPI. and there is a SPI communication can be used for that project.as in my previous query, i came to know that with UART communication, USB connector which is connected to cn1 of the board and raspberry pi USB connection - i am able to communicate. as i understood that, to communicate between raspberry pi  and stm32, i don't need to connect tx of pi -> rx of board, rx of pi -> tx of board, gnd to gnd. but can able to communicate through a connector. will that be possible with spi communication also. if no, then how can be the easy way to communicate between raspberry pi 4b and stm32f411re. and i forgot to mention that, in that file i am not able to find uart communication, i can only see the header fi

The datasheet is a bit light on details about what to do with these pins if you are not using USB at all. Can I ground both of them, or does there need to be a supply voltage on VDD33USB?One of the notes on the Absolute Maximum Ratings section in the datasheet says "All main power (VDD, VDDA, VDD33USB, VDDSMPS, VBAT) and ground (VSS, VSSA) pins must always beconnected to the external power supply, in the permitted range," but I don't know if this means that ground is a valid "external power supply."For example, in other parts of the datasheet it says that VBAT must be connected to VDD even if a battery is unused. However, it also says VDDSMPS should be connected to GND if unused. So I am unsure about the meaning.

I’ve created a SPI peripheral as a slave in transmit-only mode. It operates in circular mode DMA and generates a complete callback every 20 milliseconds. Upon receiving the complete callback, I want to modify the source address of the DMA request.Currently, I achieve this by aborting the SPI and then initiating a new DMA transfer with the updated address configuration. Why do I need to change the DMA Source Address?I’m implementing a ring buffer pointer.  Note: I’ve utilized the HAL framework for this implementation.

Hi there Touchgfx team!I've this screen requirement, a list of settings. I'm doing it with a custom container that I already created. My custom container has a flex button with text(on the left) + the text on the right. What I need is that once the user presses the button, the text color changes to white. Once its released, changes back to black. The flex button works perfect, but I'm having trouble setting it up for the right text. I could add the white and black images, or creating a function to check if the button is pressed every n ticks, but that seems cumbersome. Is there any other way?  Thanks a lot in advance

Hi there Touchgfx team! I have a view with a custom container list as in the ListLayout example.  class test_selectionView : public test_selectionViewBase { public: test_selectionView(); virtual ~test_selectionView() {} virtual void setupScreen(); virtual void tearDownScreen(); /** * Handler of list element clicks. */ void listElementClicked(CustomListElement &element); protected: static const int number_of_select_test_kit_list_elements = 30; CustomListElement select_test_kit_list_elements[number_of_select_test_kit_list_elements]; // Callback that is assigned to each list element Callback<test_selectionView, CustomListElement &> listElementClickedCallback; }; I would like to have the number of elements in the model, and access it with a get method. Right now, you can see I'm harcoding the "30" value in the view. I already created number_of_select_test_kit_list_elements in the model and created the get method, because that numb

Hi community members,I’m currently working on a project where I want to deploy a Convolutional Recurrent Neural Network (CRNN) on an STM32 MCU using X-Cube-AI. The network structure includes convolutional layers followed by GRU layers, with a reshape and permute in between to convert the 4D tensor output to a 3D input tensor for the recurrent layer. Initially, I implemented this in PyTorch (exported to ONNX), and then tried TensorFlow Keras (exported to TFLite). Unfortunately, I’ve run into errors with both approaches during the import process in X-Cube-AI.Error MessagesWhen importing the ONNX model from PyTorch, I received the following error message:TOOL ERROR: Shape and shape map lengths must be the same: [192] vs. (CH_IN, CH)I built the same architecture using TensorFlow Keras to see if this would work, then exported it as a TFLite model. However, importing this TFLite model into X-Cube-AI produced the following error:INTERNAL ERROR: Inconsistent in/out tensor shapes in transpose_6

I am trying to program a STM32F411E-DISCO with a new MacBook Pro. I installed STLink and then I installed the IDE. When I try to debug, the IDE says no STLink is detected. Here is a screenshot of my debug config. Here is a screenshot of the STLink Upgrade windowAll the jumpers are on the board. Thanks for your help!

I m working with STM32 MCU from last 3 years  i made many boards for STM MCU but i never face the problem which I'm facing now. In past i made boards for lower pin packages ( up to LQFP 64 ) mostly they have single power input pins this time i made a board for STM32G474 ( LQFP 128 )  it have several power input pins and i connected all them in design,Now what issue I'm facing is that when i started firmware development i noticed that CPU do not run code automatically i need to disconnect it several time from power and then its run code and start consume power, in working condition circuit draw 0.09mA  from 12V rail and when its not start code its consume 0.03mA.where is problem what I'm doing wrong here?Is that something with reset pin? Because i did not pull it up externally.

Hello,I'm using STM32H743 to send and receive REST API. I'm using FreeRTOS, LWIP and mbedTLS to communicate with server. I have the same application working WELL using STM32F765 with MCAL layer of course modified to STM32F7 but using H7 I can see this error "Unknown Record Type" when fetching input and reading input record. I tried solutions like optimizing cipherSuite but was not useful.

Dear,We using an ADC in our application at 1MspsThe ADC is always running in a circular DMA mode.To start the buffering of the samples we use the Analog watchdog 1. So when the input signal goes outside the analog watchdog thresholds the function "HAL_ADC_LevelOutOfWindowCallback()" is called. This works fine, but now in this callback we give a signal to other code that the buffering of the samples starts and we would disable the analog watchdog 1.Stopping the analog watchdog 1 interrupts does not work for us and he keeps going into callback "HAL_ADC_LevelOutOfWindowCallback".What are we doing wrong to stop the analog watchdog interrupt?btw the ADC and DMA should never stop while disabling the analog watchdogFirst method: (preferred for us, must be very fast)   ADC_HandleTypeDef *pAdc = pHdlr->pHdlr_adc; LL_ADC_DisableIT_AWD1(pAdc->Instance); CLEAR_BIT(pAdc->State, HAL_ADC_STATE_AWD1); LL_ADC_ClearFlag_AWD1(pAdc->Instance); LL_ADC_DisableIT_AWD &nbsp

Hi there Touchgfx team! I have a textarea and 2 images inside a custom container. From my view, I create the custom container and then call a custom container method to update the x,y of these widgets like this:  storage_full_image.setXY(battery_x, battery_y); battery_image.setXY(battery_x - 25, battery_y); header_date_text.setXY(header_date_x, header_date_y);The 2 images move without problem, but the textarea remains fixed. I'm invalidating all 3 widgets after updating the XY. Is there a different way to update the XY of a textarea? Thanks a lot in advance

Hey I am trying to use CMSIS DSP library to perform FFT of i2s data from a mic but it is showing error after using the FFT functions but is compling if only library is added is there any thing I have missed this is the code: /* USER CODE END Header */ /* Includes ------------------------------------------------------------------*/ #include "main.h" /* Private includes ----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN Includes */ #include "arm_math.h" #include "arm_const_structs.h" /* USER CODE END Includes */ /* Private typedef -----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN PTD */ /* USER CODE END PTD */ /* Private define ------------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN PD */ /* USER CODE END PD */ /* Private macro -------------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN PM */ /* USER CODE END PM */ /* Private variables ------------

I want to implement a firmware upgrade feature. Currently, I am doing it as follows: on the M4 core, I have a bootloader and an application; on the M7 core, there is also a bootloader and an application. The M4 application is located at address 0x08120000, and the M7 application is located at address 0x08020000. I’m not sure if this approach is feasible or if there is a recommended upgrade method. Currently, the jump between the cores does not succeed, and I don’t know why. Are there any specific considerations when performing a jump between dual-core firmwares?

We are trying to develop a device that uses SPI communication (Transmit Only Slave). Are there any sample programs for SPI communication (Transmit Only Slave)? What should be the trigger for calling HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive? Master's CS?

Hello @GMA it seems that there is surely a bug with STM32CubeMX and STM32G030C8T6, I have made the PCB and now try to write program for it. I just wrote a simple code to toggle a LED. but when I download the code to STM32G030 chip, the ST-link gdb had a strange problem, I used VS Code, the warning is like below:the program cannot step over running, the ST-link gdb log is as:I attached the .ioc and main.c for you check.please try to fix it.Thanks!

I am currently working on a board designed around the STM32H725RGV6 and have encountered issues with it being recognised by STM32CubeProgrammer as I get the message "target not found" when connecting it to a STLINK-v3-minie. With my previous experience using H7 or F7 MCUs, they get pretty warm even while idling which mine does not.VDD is 3.3V and supplied from a LDO regulator, TPS73633. With the board fully populated except the bluetooth module, RN4871, I have verified that the MCU is receiving 3.3V through the VDD pins.I have also checked that BOOT0 is pulled low and NRST is pulled high.2 of the 3 VCAP pins have 2.2uF caps placed nearby and the third is connected to the other 2.I have used a multimeter and continuity tested the majority of the pins to their adjacent pins and GND to check for shorts. None were found. The board was assembled by JLC except for the MCU which I had to reflow myself. I had to reflow it 3 times until I was satisfied with how the joints looked. The board was a

Hello, I was trying to use RTC battery backup on a nucleo F446RET6.The problem was that the battery (CR2032) connected to VBAT tries (and can't) to power all the board.Looking to schematic diagram, I see that VBAT pin is connected to VDD thru SB45.Removing SB45 seems that all is working fine.Is there a reason for SB45 is there? Thanks

I'm starting to learn about low-level embedded development. My goal is to learn how I can write my own linker scripts and startup code. I also want to learn how to use raw register calls to do something useful. I want to use the NUCLEO-L011K4 board and tried reading through the reference manual to find register addresses and the expected values. For some reason, my minimal blinky (LED connected to PB13) app doesn't work. It flashes just fine, but the board does nothing after that. I am pretty sure (keep in mind: Still a newbie), that the registers are the right ones. However, I'm not so sure about the linker script. Here's my linker script:   MEMORY { FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 16K RAM (rwx) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 2K } ENTRY(main) __reset_stack_pointer = ORIGIN(RAM) + LENGTH(RAM); SECTIONS { .text : { LONG(__reset_stack_pointer); LONG(main | 1); /* The whole interrupt table is 332 bytes long. Advance to that position. */ . += 332; *(.t

I am able to use the demo code as is to send characters to TeraTerm but when I try to use scanf to get inputs from TeraTerm, i get nothing. when i debug the code, i see that the function doesn't for user entries and just go to next line in the code.  below is my C code snippet: /* Initialize COM1 port (115200, 8 bits (7-bit data + 1 stop bit), no parity */ BspCOMInit.BaudRate = 115200; BspCOMInit.WordLength = COM_WORDLENGTH_8B; BspCOMInit.StopBits = COM_STOPBITS_1; BspCOMInit.Parity = COM_PARITY_NONE; BspCOMInit.HwFlowCtl = COM_HWCONTROL_NONE; if (BSP_COM_Init(COM1, &BspCOMInit) != BSP_ERROR_NONE) { Error_Handler(); } /* USER CODE BEGIN BSP */ /* -- Sample board code to send message over COM1 port ---- */ printf("Welcome to STM32 world !\n\r"); /* Example code to use scanf for receiving input */ char user_input[100]; printf("Enter a message: "); scanf("%99s", user_input); // Reads a string from COM port into user_input printf("You entered: %s\n\r", use

Hi,I am trying to boot a signed TF-A image on my STM32m257f compiled with TRUSTED_BOARD_BOOT support (Compiled in f-a-stm32mp.inc recipe from meta-st-stm32mp, mickledore branche). When the board is powered up, i got this error:  NOTICE: CPU: STM32MP257FAI Rev.B NOTICE: Model: STMicroelectronics STM32MP257F-EV1 Evaluation Board NOTICE: Board: MB1936 Var1.0 Rev.C-01 NOTICE: BL2: v2.8-stm32mp2-r2.0(release):lts-v2.8.15-dirty(567af710) NOTICE: BL2: Built : 00:51:33, Jan 26 2024 NOTICE: TRUSTED_BOARD_BOOT support enabled ERROR: BL2: Failed to load image id 1 (-80)   I've already fuse my PKHTH with the stm32key command and my binary is signed with the right key. The board boots normally when I install a TF-A binary without TRUSTED_BOARD_BOOT support.Do you have any idea please? Thanks

Hello,I've migrated an application from STM32L496VG to STM32U595VJ.Pin A11 is used as capture input TIM1_CH4.With U5 device the input on PA11 couldn't reach full level at 3.3V. I have the same behavior with 5 MCUs STM32U595VJT6 and PA11 is connected directly with an external comparator output. Is there any special new function with this pin PA11 (USB stuff) that has to be switched off on U5 series first other than L4 series (e.g. in option bytes)? Here the input level on PA11 (reach only half level 1.6V and doesn't trigger the capture input):STM32U595VJT6_PA11_NIOOn PA10 (TIM1_CH3) input level is ok and also triggers capture input:STM32U595VJT6_PA10_IOThank you in advance for any ideas about this problem!

hi,I have successfully connected LTDC display(480x272) with STM32H723ZGT6 - RGB565 mode .I could able to image file from internal Flash Memory .I could able to Load Perfect colour from DMA2D by using. framebuffer in global level .uint16_t framebuffer[480*272]; HAL_DMA2D_Start(&hdma2d, 0x000FF000,(uint32_t)framebuffer, 480, 272); HAL_DMA2D_PollForTransfer(&hdma2d, 10); I could not able to transfer colour from SRAM to LTDC by using .for (int y=0; y<272; y++) { for (int x=0; x<480; x++) { framebuffer[y*480 + x] = 0xF800; } } Erratic fill Screen happening when i transfer data to frame buffer memory . Even i reduced the speed of LTDC and total clock but nothing worked out .DMA2D using same frame buffer memory and transferring register to Memory and working fine .

I'm trying to build a linux image for this target. I had successfully(after a lot of trial & error) flashed the target with the Starter package. For some strange reasons when doing the distribution package, I had to reinstall my VM and now I'm trying again this process. This is the data before downloadingThe problem is that the download process fails at this stage:It happens the same with the distribution package with an image I already built I can confirm the "usb gadget" is forwarded to the VM. Thanks a lot in advance :)
