Hi all!I'm having some issues in order to use the AlarmA and AlarmB features of RTC in the STM32WLE5x MCU. I'm using the HAL library functions.I've experienced an ambiguous behavior when debugging the code generated in CubeMX module in STM32CubeIDE. First, without using the masks for subsecond registers in the .ioc file, it runs once, at first debug. Then, by clicking on debug once again, it does not return from  MX_RTC_Init() function after startup. I noticed that the code kept in loop on stm32wlxx_hal_rtc.c file (not handled by any error loop). A second point is that the value that I input in the "free running 32 bit value" fields on RTC Alarms A and B parameters are always transcribed in hexa inside the RTC init function. It means, if I write for example 0xFF in the GUI field, it appears as 0x0xff in the main.c file updated. If I select "decimal" value and input a value of 255, it will write 0x255 in the function.A third issue that I found, is that when I do use any mask for th

Hello,I am implementing DMA transfers to USART1 peripheral configured as asynchronous UART. I am facing issue that the message transferred with DMA is transferred only once and freezes.When set to transfer messages in blocking mode (without using DMA), it is transferred fine every time in a loop.For reference I am attaching my initialization code for DMA and USART1:Initialize USART1:huart1.Instance = USART1; huart1.Init.BaudRate = 115200; huart1.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; huart1.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart1.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart1.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart1.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart1.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; huart1.Init.OneBitSampling = UART_ONE_BIT_SAMPLE_DISABLE; huart1.Init.ClockPrescaler = UART_PRESCALER_DIV1; huart1.AdvancedInit.AdvFeatureInit = UART_ADVFEATURE_NO_INIT; if (HAL_UART_Init(&huart1) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } if (HAL_UARTEx_SetTxFifoThreshold(&huart1, UART_TXFIFO_THRESHOLD_1

I am trying to interface a SPI flash from Winbond (W25Q64JV) with FATFS.I have no previous experience with FATFS.I initialize FATFS in CubeMX with the option "used-defined" and modified the MAXIMUM and MINIMUM Sector Size to 4096, as it is the smallest possible erase sector dimension.I Got a Sample github code. This is It.https://github.com/maxiufeng258/SPI_Flash_Uart_Led_Polling_V1.0.i got w25Qxxx file from this github file which contain spi command to interact with w25q64.Now i know i should edit User_diskio or diskio,c as mentioned in the gitcode.i done it and got hardfault error at HAL_SPI_Transmit() function.i know that so many done and success it before . but i dont get a clear picture of how it done. anyone guide ASAP

Hi, let me clarify more my situation ... I am coding this from scratch i am using a CAN transciever...My problem is that the CAN_Start function always returns an Error and while debugging i noticed that my code is stuck in the CAN initialisation what i see is that the BIT INAK in the MSR register stayd always 1 when it should switch to 0...probably i have a problem in the config ...This is my config code :  void can_gpio_init(void) { /*1 Enable Clock Access to GPIOB*/ RCC->AHB1ENR |= GPIODEN; /*2 Set PD0 and PD1 to alternate function mode*/ GPIOD->MODER &=~(1U<<0); GPIOD->MODER |=(1U<<1); GPIOD->MODER &=~(1U<<2); GPIOD->MODER |=(1U<<3); GPIOD->PUPDR |=(1U<<0); GPIOD->PUPDR &=~(1U<<1); GPIOD->PUPDR |=(1U<<2); GPIOD->PUPDR &=~(1U<<3); GPIOD->OTYPER &=~(1U<<0); GPIOD->OTYPER &=~(1U<<1); /*3 SET PD0 and PD1 alternate function to CAN1

Dear STMicroelectronics,The problem described here: OEMiROT example flash protect sector problem seems to still be present in STM32Cube_FW_H5_V1.4.0. I tested to rebuild Projects/NUCLEO-H563ZI/ROT_Provisioning/OEMiROT from STM32CubeIDE after changing flash_layout.h and indeed onlyNUCLEO-H563ZI/ROT_Provisioning/OEMiROT/img_config.shNUCLEO-H563ZI/ROT_Provisioning/OEMiROT/ob_flash_programming.sh are updated so if you run provisioning.bat, the OBs for SECWM2_END etc. will not be correctly set. Is there an internal ticket tracking a fix for this?    Best regards, Jesper

I have debugged the whole code to send data from stm32h750b-dk between the two fdcan terminals fdcan1 and fdcan2 the data is appearing on live expressions of txdata1 but in rxdata only 1 bit is being transferred can somebody mention what the problem could be all my parameters are adjusted accurately  Txdata[2]={7,8}; this is the output which is shown can somebody help me out on wtt could be done

Hi, I am curious about one thig. I am using STM32F070CBT microcontroller which has LQFP48 package. My curiosity is about 3rd and 4th pins. In datasheet these pins additional  functions are OSC32_IN and OSC32_OUT respectively. In my project, i did not intend to use these pins as external oscillator. Am i have to initialize these pins to use as GPIO and disable HSE oscillator( even if i did not use it as an oscillator) ?

InSTGAP3SXSdatasheet is funny table , input -> output state, the most important thing for a driver - but wrong:btw : 1. Do not care.   -- is perfect here.

to use the canbus Pins from the systembootloader of stm32f429ZI PB13 needs to be disconected from VBUS_FDThere is no jumper or 0R, the pcb pad needs to be physically cut.

Hello, I have a RAK3172 which is based on STM32WLE5CCU6, and it is being configured for LoRaWAN, and the node transmission is happening based on timer (TX_ON_TIMER), sometimes an External interrupt will be there and the device needs to send the packet immediately (TX_ON_EVENT), now how to switch from TX_ON_TIMER to TX_ON_EVENT

Hello,I am trying to get my STM32WB5MM module to talk to VL53L7CH. I have working BLE project (compiles no warnings, no error and works-advertises as beacon). Now I added files from STSW-IMG043, according to doc file in the package.I also modified the platform.c file, with I2C functions (used the ones from F401 example, just changed the I2C handle to the one I use "hi2c3").After trying to compile, I receive some weird errors in log that I haven't dealt with before, so some help would be appreciated. From what I could extract, there are some "wrong" definitions in file "vl53lmz_buffers.h" (haven't modified that file at all). Log output:   11:14:34 **** Incremental Build of configuration Debug for project XXXXX **** make -j16 all arm-none-eabi-gcc -o "FPulse.elf" @"objects.list" -mcpu=cortex-m4 -T"C:\Users\klemen.skorjanc\Documents\CubeIDE_workspace\FPulse\STM32WB5MMGHX_FLASH.ld" --specs=nosys.specs -Wl,-Map="FPulse.map" -Wl,--gc-sections -static --spe

Hello,How is the INTERNAL_FREQ_FINE register set in the ISM330?Is it factory calibrated or is there on board logic that allows it change with age/temp/etc.?Thank you,Brandon M

Hi,In Vbat mode (No Vdd), is it possible to pull up the tamper pins and detect tamper in High-Level.We did it in run mode. We enabled the pullups on the tamper pins which are connected to a detect switch. We detect tamper and erase backup registers when the switch released. But in VBat mode. We couldnt succedded. We are runing Passive tamper with precharge enable and trig on. Only PC3,PF10 and PI2 pins are available on the board for tamper inputs. We configure the tamp block both in Optee and TFA with same configuration.Below is our device tree for both Op-tee and TFA configuration. &tamp {    st,tamp-passive-nb-sample = <4>;    st,tamp-passive-sample-clk-div = <16384>;    st,tamp-passive-precharge = <4>;    wakeup-source;    wakeup-parent = <&exti>;    /* Tamper button */    tamp-button {        tamper-gpios = &l

Hi! I am trying to learn about interfacing with an stm32f405 as a USB Mass Storage Device. My (homemade) development board has an onboard microSD card slot, and so I would like to present the card as my mass storage. I'm running into some problems with this, however, and here are my symptoms:If I set aside the SDIO component of things temporarily, and just try to present the Stm32's 1kb of internal memory as my mass storage, I see a nice "New accessory detected" popup on my mac, and see the stm32 enumerated in Disk Utility. My mac complains the disk is unformatted, and so it is not mounted. But overall this seems to suggest that the USB Mass Storage bit of things is working. When I try to use 1-wire SDIO (and modify usbd_storage_if.c accordingly) I can see the Mass Storage device enumerated in Disk Utility, and it is listed as a fat filesystem, but I cannot mount the drive. I am unsure why. When I try to use 4-wire SDIO, the system isn't recognized at all by my mac. Step

Hi, i just started with STM32G031J6 using STM32G0316-DISCO board. Using CubeIDE i have configured my second LED LD1 on pin PA11After generated the code by IDE, I added sections for flashing these LEDs. LD2 works perfectly, but there is  a problem with LD1 on the PA11 pin (I tried to change it to another possible one on this pin, but it's still the same) looks liek GPIO is not reconfigured to GPIO_Output.Here is the generated code:  #include "main.h" void SystemClock_Config(void); static void MX_GPIO_Init(void); int main(void) { HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); MX_GPIO_Init(); while (1) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, LD2_Pin); HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, LD1_Pin); HAL_Delay(1500); } } void SystemClock_Config(void) { RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0}; RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = {0}; /** Configure the main internal regulator output voltage */ HAL_PWREx_ControlVoltageScaling(PWR_REGULATOR_VOLTAGE_SCALE1); /** Initializes

Hello,I bought STLINKV2 + small board with STM32F103C8T6. I tried to create a simple program - LED blinking - according to example in here:  https://deepbluembedded.com/stm32-gpio-write-pin-digital-output-lab/   and I have STMCubeIDE + MX + others. My STLINKV2 has newest firmware.Compilation of my example algorithm (in IDE) is ok (see below) , programming is ok, but debugging shows me an error:**************************************Target is not responding, retrying...Target is not responding, retrying...Shutting down...*************************************Can someone help me where is problem ? I would like to try "JTAG/SWD debugging funtion" of my program - i.e. functions "stepOver", "stepInto" etc. Program on processor is running ok and LEDs are blinking ok. *************************************STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. Hi!I have a project that will not compile due to "error: 'HAL_StatusTypeDef' does not name a type".The project uses STM32H563 and includes file stm32h5xx_hal_conf.h.The HAL_RCC_MODULE_ENABLED and HAL_GPIO_MODULE_ENABLED are defined. When looking into it, I see circular dependency in the includes of header files from this stm32h5xx_hal_conf.hstm32h5xx_hal_conf.h stm32h5xx_hal_rcc.h stm32h5xx_hal_def.h stm32h5xx.h math.h stm32h563xx.h core_cm33.h system_stm32h5xx.h stm32h5xx_hal.h --> (Here function declarations use HAL_StatusTypeDef) <-- stm32h5xx_hal_conf.h Legacy/stm32_hal_legacy.h stddef.h math.h --> (Here in stm32h5xx_hal_def.h is the definition of HAL_StatusTypeDef) <-- stm32h5xx_hal_rcc_ex.h stm32h5xx_hal_def.h stm32h5xx_hal_gpio.h stm32h5xx_hal_def.h ...

Dear,    We are working on a custom design which has PDR_ON pin floating. The board is already fabricated and assembled.    The part number is STM32H7A3AII6Q.    Please let us know if this has any consequences on normal operation of the MCU and if so, what's the wayout.Regards-Shubhendu

Hi.I am working on evaluation with STEVAL-MKI210V2K. I use Unico to get sensor data, however what I really want is post-fusion data. Looking at other forum questions, it seems like Unico gives a "fusion" option on the left vertical tab. I don't have it (as well as the QVar option). Is it because the product I am using does not have this feature in the HW/FW level?Or am I missing something? Thanks.

I'm using STM32U083C-DK which contains STM32U083MCT6 MCU. I want to use W25Q32 NOR Flash using standard SPI protocol. For implementing the file system, for my MCU -> Middleware doesn't have FATFS instead it has FileX, LevelX and ThreadX. I couldn't find any relevant reference to implement the file system according to my requirements (STM32U0XX + W25QXX NOR FLASH + SPI) using FileX. I tried by taking some github repos as reference.... like, Fx_NoR_Write_Read_File  which uses ThreadX as well & it uses OSPI (I tried to replicate it for my requirements but it didn't work) and then Fx_SRAM_File_Edit_Standalone (I tried to replicate this also, like FileX Standalone + NOR SPI, but didn't work). So, then I saw SPI_Flash_Uart_Led_Polling_V1.0 which uses FatFS for W25QXX uisng stm32f429igt6 MCU. I tried to replicate this but f_mount() is returning FR_NO_FILESYSTEM error. Anyone know how to fix it?Or it would be really great if anyone guide me how to use F

HiI'm using nucleo_u575zi board. Connected three external switches to PB0, PB1 & PB2 pins.By default, the pins are low, the pins are configured as:   /*Configure GPIO pins : EXT_PIN3_Pin EXT_PIN1_Pin EXT_PIN2_Pin */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = EXT_PIN3_Pin|EXT_PIN1_Pin|EXT_PIN2_Pin; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_IT_RISING; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &GPIO_InitStruct);   The NVIC is also enabled. The EXT callback is not getting triggered, not sure what is the issue and how to verify that in debug mode whether it's getting called or not, can someone help me to debug and trace what might be the issue.Attaching the main.c and .ioc files below.Thankyou.

Hi,My problem: how to configure DAC so that CPU core clock and DAC kernel clock can be asynchronous (i.e: 250MHz and 70MHz)?Details:- my hardware is based on the STM32H523CET6- configuration:  - SYSCLK (HCLK) running at 250MHz (with PLL1 from HSE=TCXO @26MHz)  - TIM7 generates a 48kHz rectangle signal  - DAC1 is triggered by TIM7 trgo  - PLL2 configured for PLL2R=70MHz- code loop:  - pulling on TIM7 SR's UIF bit (update interrupt flag) until it is set  - clear UIF bit  - toggling DAC out between 0 and 0xFFF0 values  - loop again (infinitly)- results:  - when DAC is clocked by HCLK (ADC,DAC Clock Mux = HCLK): OK :)  => output is toggling with a rectangle frequency of 24kHz (as expected)  - when DAC is clocked by PLL2 (ADC,DAC Clock Mux = PLL2R): KO :(  => output is randomly togglingMy feeling is that the transfert of the DAC out value (DHR12L1 register) does not work if clocks (CPU and DAC ones) are asynchronous. Can you

Any news on when there will be an update to CubeIDE to better support macOS Sequoia? At the moment we need to use a terminal launch hack to get support for debug tools. Would be nice to get a fix for this soon.

Hello,I am facing an issue while implementing USB UVC (Uncompressed) on the STM32U5G9J-DK2 board. The setup works fine with USBD_VIDEO_EPIN_HS_MPS set to 1400U, and I can achieve image output. However, increasing the endpoint packet size beyond 1400U (e.g., up to 4000U) causes the device to stop being recognized in Device Manager. The issue appears during the initialization process, where the ux_device_stack_class_register function in MX_USBX_Device_Init() returns UX_ERROR.This results in the code getting stuck in the following loop:status = MX_USBX_Device_Init(memory_ptr);if (status != UX_SUCCESS){     while(1)     {     }}For my application, I need to achieve a higher data rate, which requires increasing the endpoint packet size. If I can increase the value of USBD_VIDEO_EPIN_HS_MPS, it would allow me to send larger packets, which is essential for achieving my data rate goal.I’ve attached a ZIP file containing my code for reference, along wi

Hi,Our product proposal to a client has at the root of its security an STM32H533 running our OEM Bootloader and Secure Application only.  The Product State will be either Closed or Locked (as yet undecided) and we will be storing encryption keys used to verify the integrity of other parts of the whole system in the OBKey area with HUK encryption enabled. The client has a very competent security team who will be attempting to break our security measures to highlight any vulnerabilities.  Before we've delivered any hardware to them, they've already started some research.  They are not familiar/experienced with STM32 micro-controllers.  They discovered an article where the researchers have been able to reliably corrupt the value returned when the RDP level is checked during a debug session on an STM32Lxx micro-controller.  This attack allows requests to read memory from the device with RDP level 1 active. The article contains the rather frustrating conclusion that "
