Hello,I have a STM32G431KB on a custom PCB and got the CAN bus to work. The only problem I have is that the TX FIFO is always filling up and the bus stops after 127 errors. The workaround I have is to abort the TX request./* Add message to Tx FIFO */ if (HAL_FDCAN_GetTxFifoFreeLevel(&hfdcan1) > 0) { if (HAL_FDCAN_AddMessageToTxFifoQ(&hfdcan1, &FDCAN1_TxHeader, FDCAN1_TxData) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } } else { uint32_t txFifoRequest = HAL_FDCAN_GetLatestTxFifoQRequestBuffer(&hfdcan1); if (HAL_FDCAN_IsTxBufferMessagePending(&hfdcan1, txFifoRequest)) { HAL_FDCAN_AbortTxRequest(&hfdcan1, txFifoRequest); } }This however doesn't feel like a proper solution. How can I correctly implement the use of the TX FIFO without aborting messages?

Hello, I‘m creating a counter that increments/decrements according to cw/ccw direction of an encoder. An interrupt is triggered by the rising and falling edge on each channel. Due to mechanical jitter, the interrupts are triggered (sometimes) simultaneously and will increment by values greater than 1. I was thinking of using a delay but how can I make my interrupt handlers more robust to prevent this occurring?     int main(){ FLASH_Init(); RCC_Init(); GPIO_Init(); USART2_Init(); EXTI0_Init(); EXTI1_Init(); NVIC_Init(); while(1){ } } void EXTI0_IRQHandler(void){ if (EXTI -> PR & (0x01U)){ if (((GPIOA -> IDR & (0x1U)) && (GPIOA -> IDR & (0x2U))) || ((!(GPIOA -> IDR & (0x1U))) && (!(GPIOA -> IDR & (0x2U))))){ STATE++; printf("Encoder counts = %d \n\r",STATE); //GPIOA -> ODR ^= (0x01U << 5); } if (((GPIOA -> IDR & (0x1U)) && (!(GPIOA -> IDR & (0x2U

Hi, I would like to use CAN communication on my devboard : STM32MP157f-DK2. So I prepared OS, unfortunatelly I have to flash STM32MP157c-DK2 version according with problem described below: Faulty boards out of the box  So, after run OS, I edited *.dts file, by initialized &m_can1 device on PA11 and PA12 pins, which one exposed  on the board connector - CN2, and connected "MCP2542 click CAN bus transceiver" board. In OpenSTlinux userspace I try recive CAN frames by command: candump can0, and there is any problem, because when I send full frame with 8 bytes that it doesn't arrive to device. Maksimum only 5 bytes in frame arrives, like below:   What can be wrong with CAN in STM ?Please for any tips.

Hello,I am using the VL53L8CX sensor on an I2C bus, and it operates normally until I run the i2cdetect command. After running i2cdetect, the sensor stops working properly, and calling vl53l8cx_check_data_ready() returns a GO2 error status.Interestingly, if I have another sensor (e.g., a temperature sensor) enabled on the same I2C bus, the VL53L8CX recovers and continues working after i2cdetect. The temperature sensor is at a different address and only performs normal read operations. Why does i2cdetect disrupt VL53L8CX?Why does another sensor’s read operations seem to "fix" the issue? How can I debug and prevent this problem without adding a secondary sensor?Any insights or debugging tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hello Everybody,MCSDK:6.3.0CubeMX: 6.3.0Workbench : 6.3.0Motor Pilot : 1.2.9Power Board : IHM08M1(Rshunt=0.01Ω)Control Board : NUCLEO-G431RBMotor : BLDC 26w 24v/8 pole pairs / rpm=4k / rated current=1.8A/hall sensorI am currently testing torque control, and I am a bit confused about the hFinalTorque setting in the MC_ProgramTorqueRampMotor1 API.I would like to set the Target Torque to 0.02.According to the formula provided in the API:current(digit) = (0.02 * 65536 * 0.01Ω * 5.18) / 3.3 = 20.57 (rounded to 21)Should hFinalTorque be set to 21 or 210?Additionally, do I need to manually enable the timer and PWM? (I have already used the Workbench to generate code and CubeMX to generate the project.)

Are there any samples I can order? I don't see it listed on any of the distributor sites. If anyone knows where I can get one that would be great! Also, if an ST rep can state when they will be available to order that would also be great!   Thanks

Hello everbody,I'm using the STM32L4KC Nucleo board. Accidentially I discovered something that I cannot understand so far.I have a small application that is reading sensor data on I2C. So far everything works. When I cause by purpose some interrupts (using the button on that board) I realize that the application is not longer able to read from I2C. It simply stops after expecting a ACK from the sensor chip at the very first sensor reading (ID of the sensor). Further resets on NRST don't fix the problem. Physically disconnecting the sensor (therefore power off/on) don't fix the problem. Power down/up the Nucelo board don't fix the problem. The only thing that reliably fix the problem is to reprogramm the STM32L4KC. I saw something in the erata that says don't programm the flash durint power down. However, I'm not writing to the flash at all. Even more strange to me is the dependency on the programming tool. The problem described above can be fixed reliable using STM32Cube

Dear all, I just came across something strange. I debugged into the function HAL_InitTick() to better understand how the OS tick (SysTick) is managed if FreeRTOS is used. I'm using TIM16 for the SysTick of the OS. At the beginning of HAL_InitTick() the function HAL_RCC_GetPCLK2Freq() is called. The return value is used to set the systick timer (in my case TIM16 on a STM32L432 device). My clock configuration for my device is set for PCLK2 = 80MHz. However, the function HAL_RCC_GetPCLK2Freq() returns 40.000.000. So half of the actual frequency. In the following the prescaler is set to 3 and the period to 999. So for my understanding the timer period until it will reset to 0 and raise an interrupt will be ((40.000.000/3)*1000) *(1/40.000.000). So this gives me a totally wrong value that certainly is not the case (I'm actually sure for other reasons that my device runs at 80MHz instead of 40MHz). Here is how it looks like just before entering HAL_TIM_Base_Init().An

We are migrating a project from H750 to H733 and I have run into an issue with our custom bootloader. We have our own External Loader, Bootloader and Application.  Works fine on 750, but I have had to remake the projects for a move to the H733 micro. We are using external flash to fit our large application, in Octo SPI XIP, similar to the old device. The bootloader seems to work correctly, loading the app into the XIP or using what is there it jumps to the app code.  This is done by:  SCB->VTOR = APPLICATION_ADDRESS; __set_MSP(*(__IO uint32_t *)APPLICATION_ADDRESS);  All seems to work as expected, what is not working is the APPLICATION_ADDRESS which is OCTOSPI2_BASE for us.The application is built to use that address as the start of it's flash.I can see in the debugger that code has been placed there. But the first address if used as the stack pointer results in a memory access error,it is way out of range with the memory space defined. My linker script for the

Hi @matteo_ronchi  I am using the STEVAL-MKBOXPRO development board with the FP-SNS-DATALOG2 software V2.2.0, and i already checked that i have all the right versions of  st_pnpl v2.3.0 st_dtdl_gui v2.3.0 st_hsdatalog v3.3.0 However, i am still getting the message "Device Template Model Loading". Do you have any other recommendations?   Thanks

Do you have documentation showing the location of this component in relation to the land relative to the external shape of the component?

Hi,I use the component ST25R3911B. I'm able to tune some antennas, no issues. But, now I have to use some RF switches to drive several antennas. Unfortunaly the RF switches have a resistor Ron and this drops the output power of the RF reader. The tuning is fine if I look at the smith chart but the power is divided by two.The connectic is: EMC -> Tuning (C1+C2) -> RF switch -> antennas (x4)I'm wondering if there is any way to increase the power, independently of the tuning? The goal would be to have the same power with and with the RF switch.I looked on the datasheet and I do not find a registrer which boost the signal or whatever.Furthermore, is it possible to use some hardware component to drawn the max power from the reader? Maybe using a balun with 20 Ohm?Any help is the welcome :)Best Regards,Loic

Hi Folks,I have an issue with the RS485 Driver Enable Pin with the USART6 on an H7A3 (Nucleo). The Perhiperal is set up in CubeMX with "Hardware Flow Control (RS485) enabled.I have developed a driver using the Low Level functions. The Peripheral is setup by Cube MX,  in "uart.c" the "DE Mode" is enabled:  LL_USART_EnableDEMode(USART6); LL_USART_SetDESignalPolarity(USART6, LL_USART_DE_POLARITY_HIGH); LL_USART_SetDEAssertionTime(USART6, 0); LL_USART_SetDEDeassertionTime(USART6, 0); When I start a transmission with  LL_DMA_SetMemoryAddress(hrUA->txDMA.hDMA, hrUA->txDMA.dmaCh, txAddr); // set TxBuffer Address LL_DMA_SetDataLength(hrUA->txDMA.hDMA, hrUA->txDMA.dmaCh, dataSz); // set Tx Size LL_DMA_EnableIT_TC(hrUA->txDMA.hDMA, hrUA->txDMA.dmaCh); // enable Tx Transfer Complete IRQ LL_DMA_EnableIT_TE(hrUA->txDMA.hDMA, hrUA->txDMA.dmaCh); // enable Tx Transfer Error IRQ LL_USART_ClearFlag_TC(hrUA->hUA); // clear T

New question from this thread. So in order to use both SMPS and LDO, given in board schematics,I mounted SB6 and SB17 (SB44, SB46, L4 already mounted)and removed SB5 and SB18 (rest already not mounted). After than i flashed it with keeping the following settings. Im still getting the same error.

Dear Community,We are considering using the STSPIN32G4 to integrate and control the motor in our system. The primary reason for selecting it is that our battery supplies 6V-8.4V, which falls within the STSPIN32G4's 5.5V-75V range. We have a few questions regarding the EVSPIN32G4:Input Voltage LimitationWe are interested in purchasing the EVSPIN32G4 to test it out. However, we noticed that the product specifications state the input voltage range as 10V-75V, while the components appear to support down to 5.5V. We would like to understand the reasoning behind this limitation. The best case is we can directly using our battery supplies 6V-8.4V, to power the board.  Op-Amp Configuration and PA2As per our understanding, PA2 is used as OPO1 and should output the voltage difference to be sent to an ADC pin for current sensing and processing. However, PA2 does not seem to be connected to any other GPIO, leading us to wonder how this Op-Amp is functioning. Can the STSPIN32G4 di

I’m running into some trouble when trying to create a new application with TouchGFX Designer version 4.24.2 on the STM32N6570-DK board. After generating the code and opening the project in STM32CubeMX, I encounter a clock configuration error. It seems to resolve itself automatically, but the real issue starts when I move to STM32CubeIDE.In STM32CubeIDE, I get an error saying the .elf file does not exist. When I try to build the project, I encounter numerous errors like "bad instruction" in tx_initialize_low_level.S.Has anyone successfully set up a TouchGFX project for the STM32N6570-DK? Any guidance on how to resolve these issues would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,We've noticed that the STM32H533 micro-controller is not present in Longevity Commitment list.Is there a particular reason for this?  We are planning to use this micro-controller in a number of new products going forward.Best regards,Michael Waites

I am using STM32 with the following peripherals:TIM7 for frequency generationADC with DMADAC with DMATIM Interrupt (TIM_IT)My setup:Clock: 150 MHzPrescaler (PSC:( 3-1Auto-reload register (ARR:( 13-1128 samples for DAC to generate a 30 kHz signalWhen using these settings, the ADC half-complete and complete callbacks are triggered correctly, meaning ADC DMA is working. However, nothing seems to happen in the while(1) loop in main().What do you think could be causing this?Could it be related to TIM7 interrupt priority, DMA behavior, or CPU being blocked? Is the DMA transfer taking over completely, preventing execution in while(1)?Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Dear Sir.I am using a board equipped with STM32U585 , The main clock is 32.768 khzsee included pic.PA8 is configured to drive LSE 32KHZ using the command__HAL_RCC_LSEDRIVE_CONFIG(RCC_LSEDRIVE_HIGH);PA8 is fed to ECG MAX30001.On some boards MAX30001 reports pll lock problem. The signal of  32 khz on PA8 is shown at the attached video.Setting the parameter __HAL_RCC_LSEDRIVE_CONFIG(RCC_LSEDRIVE_HIGH); to0 or RCC_BDCR_LSEDRV_0 or RCC_BDCR_LSEDRV_1 makes no change on the jitter1. Is this jitter is normal. Please Advise

Dear sir,IBIS model required for "Part Number: M24M02-DWMN3TP/K" for Signal Integrity analysis. We downloaded IBIS model available in component page in ST micro website. But that IBIS model "automotive_i2c_m24xxx_ibis_models_-40_125.zip" not having for 2Mbit EEPROM ICs. So, please provide proper IBIS model for Part Number: M24M02-DWMN3TP/K.

Hello,I have a STM32L152RE and I use PA1 (Pin type is FT 5v tolerant) as ADC_IN1. Vdd is 3.3V and the voltage on PA1 usually is around 5V and sometimes it drops to 2.5V ( when I need to take the measure). Several comments on various blog said that usually is not possible have voltages above 4V even if the pin is FT if the pin is used as ADC. I searched everywhere in the datasheet and there is any note for the STM32L152RE. So I'd like to know if I can apply safely 5V on that pin.Regards,Riccardo
