Solved

Hardware SetupI am using an ESP32S3 as an I2C master and an STM32G0 as an I2C slave. The STM32G0 is performing two tasks:I2C Slave Communication – Receiving periodic requests (every second) from the ESP32S3 to read dimmer register updates.AC Fan Control via RobotDyn Dimmer – Handling a Zero-Cross Detection (ZCD) interrupt and generating a PWM signal for the TRIAC to achieve smooth dimming. Interrupt DetailsThe ZCD interrupt is triggered every 95 microseconds to ensure precise dimming. Increasing this value results in noticeable flicker. The I2C interrupt occurs every second to update the slave dimmer registers (which also get updated via push button inputs on the dimmer).I have set the timer interrupt (ZCD) with a higher priority than the I2C interrupt to maintain dimming precision.DMA Issue FacedWhenever the STM32G0 processes an I2C interrupt, it misses a ZCD interrupt, causing a visible jerk in the dimming process. This likely happens because the I2C interrupt temporarily bl

Hi ! We are using an SR5E1E7 with StellarStudio. But we are struggling with CAN filters. How to setup the CAN device so it can accept any CAN-ID? Or better, how mask work for the CAN Filters ? We are using CanOpen and we can't really set every ID we want by hand.Any info is welcome, whether from StellarStudio configuration or C code using `can_set_filter`.  Currently we only made it to work with one ID: Could you give an example on how to setup filters for:- Allowing all ID's - Allowing all ID's from a mask   Thanks in advance ! I have been trying to get a PWM output from PE9 by following some example online. However no PWM output at PE9 pin. The desires PWM frequency is 20kHz and duty cycle is 50%. Any suggestion what is the problem ?. Thanks.

Hi I'm doing a new design using an STM32H563 and would like to use LPTIM2 to measure elapsed time. Ideally I'd like its clock source to be PLL2P, which means RCC->CCIPR2.LPTIM2SEL = 0b001 according to RM0481 page 545. However, if I select this clock source then LPTIM2 appears not to be clocked at all. In my code snippet below, ARROK is never set and the code hangs waiting for it. If I set LPTIM2SEL = 0b000 (rcc_pclk1) then it works fine, and so does 0b101 (per_ck). If I then break into the code using a debugger, and manually set LPTIM2SEL back to 0b001, then LPTIM2 stops counting. I've confirmed that PLL2P is definitely enabled and running at the expected frequency, which in this case happens to be 4 MHz. I have MCO2 set to output PLL2P on a physical pin and I can see it on my scope, so PLL2P is definitely OK. It just appears not to actually connect to LPTIM2 through its kernel clock multiplexer. I know I can work around the problem by using rcc_pclk1 or per_ck as my clock source in

Is there any example will guide about ADC being triggered with timer and being transferred to RAM with DMA for STM32H5 series?

Hello ST team, I've encountered some serious issues after updating NanoEdge from version 4.6.0 to the latest 5.0.0 version. All my training results from version 4.6.0 have disappeared after updating to version 5.0.0. These old training results are important for my paper. How can I recover them? I only performed an update operation, why was all the data lost? When using NanoEdge version 5.0.0, clicking "create" on any training project doesn't produce any response or pop-up window. I've tried this on two different computers with the same issue. How can I solve this problem? I want to create a new project and start training. Is there a way to keep old versions of NanoEdge or get an upgrade notification? Yesterday during my group meeting presentation, NanoEdge suddenly prompted me to upgrade, and it would exit if I didn't upgrade. However, the upgrade process was extremely slow - I waited for tens of minutes when it should have only taken a few minutes with my internet speed.

Hi,I am implementing USB CDC ACM on my custom board using STM32C071x series of microcontroller. It is currently not working and looking at other post on community I observed that one of the problem is of missing call to function - HAL_PWREx_EnableVddUSB(). is this function call necessary for all series of STM32 microcontrollers? If that is the case then it is missing in my auto generated code from CubeMX. I also tried manually adding it but it is giving me compilation error - 'undefined reference to `HAL_PWREx_EnableVddUSB'Thanks,Pradeep

I'm trying to configure SAI2 as a I2S master.I2S_CKIN has been enabledBut the configuration cannot be loaded when I changed SAI A Mode to master. Now I got a page like this.Is there anything I can do to fix it?

I've been trying to get a new project up and running on a custom H743 board, using AzureRTOS for the first time. This board has both USB ports, with FS set up as a device and HS set up as a host, with an external PHY. I have had this same hardware successfully running different firmware with ST's older drivers, and both ports work.It seems like the code doesn't handle having both device and host ports active, even though CubeMX allows you to set it up that way. I run into some issues with both host and device drivers calling _ux_system_initialize, and that seems to trash some of the host's data structures when called by the device's driver code.Either I'm missing something, or the code simply doesn't work for this configuration. I hope it's the former. Are there any code examples of running host and device on the same system?

Beside enabled it in the Debugger tab:also called LL_DBGMCU_EnableTraceClock();but when calling ITM_SendChar(), the ITM->TCR is still 0.Do I miss anything else?  BTW, I am using the latest STM32CubeIDE 1.18. Thanks.

I have a black pill, but board is green in color, chip says stm32f401ccu6, 44pin.where can i get a pinout diagram for this board, ?only blackpill boards pinouts that I can see are the newer 40 pin boards

Hi,I have been trying to design a double stage single phase grid connected PV Microinverter system.I came across an Application Note AN4070, in which you have designed a 250W grid connected Microinverter. I tried to follow the procedure and design and simulate a system in MATLAB, but my system is not working properly. I have designed the MPPT Block, and it works just fine. I believe the problem lies in the Inverter stage. I have few questions and would really appreciate any help or guidance from your side.1. While looking at Current Control Algorithm, I realized that the alpha and beta components taken for Grid Voltage (Fig. 20) and Current (Fig. 21) are opposite to each other. Can you please help me understand why they are measured in such a way or maybe point me towards a resource that can help me understand the theory behind it.2. I would also like some help in designing the PID blocks for the Current Control Loop. I understand the concept, but I am unable to imp

Hello,Thanks for all of the help so far.  Another question, this one regarding SFI process for the STM32U5 series. In AN4992 section 3.3.1 for STM32L/U/W series, it describes a secure bootloader that is split into 2 parts, one of which is responsible for executing the SFI process. Are these secure bootloader parts pre-installed in system memory by ST as part of your manufacturing & provisioning process? If yes, is the code for this secure bootloader available to ST Micro customers for analysis? When we install our own SBSFU to be used for future OTA updates, does that overwrite and/or disable the SFI capability?

Hello, According to reference manual/datasheet/ANs, it exists some documents that are pointing out that FDCAN2 is the capable bootloader port for upgrade. In ANs and reference manual, it is specified that FDCAN bootloader mode is available on PD0 & PD1 related to FDCAN1 instance. Can you confirm please? Thank you

Hi,just a quick question to understand the hardware of the STM32MP257 development kit board: there are several ESD-protection components of type HSP051-4M10 used. What is the exact purpose of them, are they therea) because the DK-board is intended to be touched by users and therefore there is some higher danger these users kill that board with some electrostatic discharge when touching itb) because this type of device is recommended to be used in general due to some components being unusual sensitive against ESD (for an example, at the RasPi I think no such protection is used)c) something else? Thanks for sheding some light on this :)

We are trying to bootload an STM32L443CCT device using CAN bootloader. The documentation for the STLINK V3 details that by using jumper JP7 and CN5 to connect, we should be able to communicate with a device which has been triggered into bootloader mode (by using option bytes only - avoiding having to set or clear any hardware pins to select bootloader). The advantage of this is that we should be able to reprogram devices using the standard CAN interface which each device currently uses, without having to take the device apart to program using JTAG or SWD access. What we are observing is that the T_CAN_TX and T_CAN_RX lines coming out of CN5 are identical, which means that the difference between the signals is essentially nothing. Observing other CAN messages on our bus from other source, it's clear that the CAN_TX and CAN_RX lines should be approximately inverted, yet we are seeing them the same. We've resorted to using the CN7 connector where we need to use a CAN transceiver, we do at le
