Hello, What are the newest versions of STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeProgrammer that still work under Windows 7?  I have searched high and low but could not find a simple list of versions and host system requirements.  Thank you.

Hi, When changing from a Tiny YOLOv2 model to ST SSD Mobilenet v1 I strangely got the following error:Bus interface interruptBUSIF0 ERR: 0x10BUSIF1 ERR: 0x0ATON_STD_IRQHandler()@763: irqs=0xlxassertion "0" failed: file "Y:/VM/stm-workspace/fall-guard-v2.0.0/Lib/AI_Runtime/Npu/ll_aton/ll_aton_runtime.c", line 767, function: __LL_ATON_RT_IrqErr I tried other models but only Mobilenet v1 always returns this error. Is there a specific config required? Thanks,Gino

I like to use the CubeMx 6.14.1 generated code (up2date firmware packages) to use DAC 1+2 with GPDMA in circular mode (Standard-Request-Mode)The 1st thing that makes me wonder: Although I selected "Standard Request Mode" in CubeMX a configuration for Linked-ListMode is generated. Nevertheless this seems to work with ADC. On DAC Channels 1+2 I get a Data-Transfer-Error although I can't figure out a CubeMX missconfiguration for now. See my attached .ioc File for Reference.Expectation: CubeMx generated Standard Request code when selecting this in the GUI. Expectation: DAC generates HAL_DAC_CH1_COMPLETE instead of HAL_DAC_CH1_ERROR with DTE bit set.DMA-Start-Code:HAL_DAC_Start_DMA(&hdac1, DAC_CHANNEL_1, (uint32_t*)output_buffer[0], SAMPLE_BLOCK_SIZE * 2, DAC_ALIGN_12B_R); HAL_DAC_Start_DMA(&hdac1, DAC_CHANNEL_2, (uint32_t*)output_buffer[1], SAMPLE_BLOCK_SIZE * 2, DAC_ALIGN_12B_R);with output_buffer being a global:int16_t output_buffer[3][2*SAMPLE_BLOC

Hello ST team,our company is evaluating the STM32MP135F-DK to develop a new interface for our displays. This board was given to us by ST at the embedded world exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany. I am not familiar with MPUs and Yocto. I am having a lot of problems getting a simple PyQt5 GUI application (see mySimpleApp.txt) running on the board. I was able to successfully build the SDK and start a simple GTK application using the starter package.These are some of the steps I took:First, I used the starter package and installed there everything that i needed to run this application:apt install python3-pyqt5 qtwaylandcopied my application to /home/westonrun:  su -l weston -c "env QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland-egl python3 /home/weston/mySimpleApp.py"These is the Error i get: [ 1] Failed to open device: No such file or directory, Try again...[ 2] Failed to open device: No such file or directory, Try again...[ 3] Failed to open device: No such file or directory, Try again...[ 4] Failed to

Hello, In our project we are planning to use STM32H743BIT6 uC, we are using USB for flashing the firmware and to download the logs, not at the same time, if we connect DM & DP lines from uC PA11 & PA12 pins to USB microAB connector DM & DP lines, will that be ok? Or any other HW support required? Which is the product section table for more clarity?   Thanks in advance,

I'm working on a project that needs both TouchGFX GUI and CAN communication. After configuring my STM32F429 with TouchGFX, I'm unable to enable CAN1 in STM32CubeMX. From what  I understand, CAN2 is a slave/dependent peripheral that requires CAN1 to be active, so I need CAN1 functioning first. If I create a can task with CAN2 it does not work (Loopback mode), and if I enable CAN1 the display will stop working.Is there a recommended pin configuration that allows both TouchGFX and CAN to coexist?Has anyone successfully implemented both TouchGFX and CAN on the F429?Thanks!

Hi,is the STM32F103RET5 can be damage, when boot0 short to PB7 or PB8 by oscilloscope probe for short time?After I fix the board the STM32F103RET5 work ok.is boot0 in float is 3.3v?is 32kHz input short to input 8MHz can cause damage to STM32F103RET5?Thank you.

Good morning,I would like to request support regarding the programming and debugging of the STM32U031C8U6 microcontroller. It is mounted on a custom-designed board, and I am experiencing issues connecting to the microcontroller via SWD for programming and/or debugging using an ST-LinkV3 updated to the latest version (V3.J16.M8.B5.S1), with STM32CubeProgrammer and STM32CubeIDE. The microcontroller is never detected.Note: With the ST-LinkV2 programmer, I am able to perform both programming and debugging without issues using the same software tools. Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help me!

Hello,Our project with TouchGFX uses a version control system (git, of course). In your documentation, you recommend the `config`directory to be included in the VCS. The pain point is that `TouchGFXEnvPath` tag in `config\msvs\Application.props` contains the 'TouchGFX Designer' installation path and might change from a developer to another. I don't know if `config\gcc` should be versioned, but I think that `config\msvs` should not. Am I missing something ?Thank you

Hello,My agenda is to work with ADC1 with STOP2 mode.Using LPTIMER1 to wakeup system, from STOP2 mode and once wakeup then reinit adc, calibrate and start adc interrupt. but still I can see adc interrupt not called.void handleConversion() { ReInit_ADC1(); HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc_); HAL_StatusTypeDef status = HAL_ADC_Start_IT(&hadc1); if (status != HAL_OK) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_5); } // LED toggle if we put out of IF statement, so interrupt is register successfully. } void HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef *hadc) { __IO uint16_t adcRawValue = HAL_ADC_GetValue(hadc); uint16_t adcVoltage_mVolt = __LL_ADC_CALC_DATA_TO_VOLTAGE(VDDA_APPLI, adcRawValue, LL_ADC_RESOLUTION_12B); InternalBatteryDriver::setVoltageCallback(adcVoltage_mVolt); // HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_5); scheduler_push_event(EVENT_ADC_CONVERSION_COMPLETE); } //Here as final result, trying to glow LED which is not blinkingand here is the ADC_Init code for referenc

Hello everyone,I'm completely stuck and could really use some help.I’ve been trying to integrate TouchGFX into my project and wanted to set up this example:   https://github.com/maudeve-it/ILI9XXX-XPT2046-STM32 which provides functions to handle SPI-based TFT LED touch displays (480x320 or 320x240) controlled by an ILI9488 or ILI9341 + XPT2046.However, I'm facing issues getting it to work on my Nucleo H755ZIQ board. I’ve added TouchGFX to my project but can't seem to make any progress.Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!It looks like STM32CubeMX is creating the correct folder structure.Now I'm getting 64 fatal errors.I also tried generating a TouchGFX GUI code, and now I'm getting this error.I tried solving it as described here: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-touchgfx-and-gui/cannot-build-project-with-cubeide-undefined-reference-to/td-p/699214The project has already been converted to C++.I have also added all the FolderI keep getting the same errors. I woul

I have successfully used dynamicBitmapCreateExternal() with RGB888 on another project but on a different project this causes a hard fault when the bitmap is used to render an image to the display when RGB565 is used.  I have been able to change the parameter to RGB888 and it works but of course since the image loaded is RGB565 it is not formatted correctly on the display...but it proves that works with the only difference being the RGB565 entered for the format parameter...FrontendApplication::FrontendApplication(Model& m, FrontendHeap& heap) : FrontendApplicationBase(m, heap) { /* * Initialize dynamic bitmap cache; * bookkeeping memory for external bitmaps not stored in cache */ uint16_t* const cacheStartAddr = (uint16_t*)myBmpCache; const uint32_t cacheSize = sizeof(myBmpCache); Bitmap::setCache(cacheStartAddr, cacheSize, 1); void* srcPtr = logoGetImagePtr(); BitmapId bmpId = Bitmap::dynamicBitmapCreateExternal(LCD_X_Size, LCD_Y_Size, srcPtr, Bitmap::RG

Hi everyone,I'm experiencing a persistent and perplexing issue with UART communication on my STM32F103C8T6 (Blue Pill) board. I'm trying to communicate with an energy meter using the IEC 61107 standard, which requires 300 bps with 7 data bits, Even parity, and 1 stop bit (7E1) during the initial handshake.While my setup works flawlessly at higher baud rates (e.g., 600 bps, 9600 bps) with other configurations, I consistently encounter data corruption (receiving garbage characters or no response) specifically at 300 bps, 7E1.Here's a detailed breakdown of my setup, troubleshooting steps, and observations:1. Hardware SetupMCU: STM32F103C8T6 (Blue Pill board)Development Environment: Arduino IDE (with STM32Duino core, latest version)UART Peripheral Used: USART2 (PA2/PA3) for communication with the energy meter.External Interface: MAX485 module (for RS485 conversion) connected to an optical probe for the energy meter. (Note: The problem persists even when bypassing the MAX485 and connecting

Hello, Im trying to follow the ST getting started guide for my STM32MP157F-DK2, currently at this part: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157x-DK2/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-A7/Modify,_rebuild_and_reload_the_Linux%C2%AE_kernelSo, I followed every instruction, but I just cant find the BSP file mentioned, the en.SOURCES-stm32mp1-openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v24.11.06.tar.gzI have ofcourse followed the link provided, but it leads me to this: https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32mp1dev.html#get-softwarewhich is the same address from which I downloaded the SDK in a previous section of the guide. I have looked for this file in the SDK, and in the Distribution package I later cloned from git. I can not find it, and I dont know how to continue with the guide. My knowlegde about Linux and mainly Yocto is limited, and I am mainly going through this to learn. I would love to discover my mistake is a silly one, but cu

Hello !I have to admit that I am stumped on this problem, I've been trying to make it work for the past few days.My issue is with an STM32F301K8T6 (LQFP32) and its ADCs : I have two reflective optical sensors (ITR8307) that are connected to ADC_CHANNEL_12 and ADC_CHANNEL_11. The value read with an oscilloscope are good (they are read directly on the pin so it isn't a soldering issue), they are going from roughly 3.3V to 0.6V.The issue is that the value read from the code doesn't really change, it gives me some random value on startup and oscillates around it, almost as if it was floating. I have tried polling for a single channel, scan mode, DMA, setting the sample time very high and very low, but nothing works... The impedance of the circuit is pretty low (a few kOhms at most), and it works perfectly with an ESP32.All of the VDD and VSS pins are reading the correct values, however one thing I've noticed is the value given by the ADCs are shifting when I apply 0V or 3.3V to the PA1 pin

Hi, I'm in the process to design a board and an application based on the STM32U5G9ZJT6Q. I plan to disable the SMPS power supply. So I'll put the following pins to ground:- VSSSMPS- VDDSMPS- VLXSMPSI plan to utilize several GPIOs, about 90+. At page 19 of the MCU's datasheet, I read the following: GPIOs (without SMPS / with SMPS)  - NA/101 respectively.Does this mean that I need to enable SMPS, in order to have the 101 available GPIOs ? Or can I run them with internal LDO instead, and still have the 101 GPIOs ? (which I'd prefer, for noise reasons). Power consumption is not an issue.Thank you very much in advance !CheersMatteo

Hi! I am working on a project in which I'd like to use an stm32U0 MCU. It'll be my first time with one of these, and I'm choosing it because my design includes a battery (+charger & fuel gauge), so I'm interested in learning about low-power things. I have a single button on my device. I'd like to fashion a "hold to power on, hold to power off" functionality with this button. I also am using a fuel gauge that has some LEDs that can be triggered by a pushbutton. I'm trying to wrap my head around how to accomplish two things with a single button, and am considering the use of a MOSFET to accomplish this. Here comes my question: I think that to "power off" my device, I want my MCU to enter Shutdown mode. I think that I can then wake it back up by connecting my button to a WKUP pin. But, I'm considering whether this pin is controlled directly by my pushbutton, or by way of a MOSFET. ChatGPT is making a lot of fuss about the 'strict electrical characteristics' of WKUP pins

Hello,I have problem statement, in which I have to re-Initialize lptimer for different timer value, as per current scenario, I haveClock: 32Khz (LSI)Divisor = 128Period: Any time as per dynamic input. So I want information about how I can safely reset the lptimer and then again re-init for different timer. Here is the reference lptimer code. where/* uint32_t effectiveFreq = 32000/ 128; // 250 Hz uint32_t tickTimeInMS = 1000 / effectiveFreq; // 4 ms*/ #define TICK_TIME_IN_MS 4 void ReInit_LPTIM1(uint32_t timerInMS) { /*lptimer reset block start*/ HAL_LPTIM_IC_Stop_IT(&hlptim1, LPTIM_CHANNEL_1); __HAL_LPTIM_DISABLE(&hlptim1); if (HAL_LPTIM_DeInit(&hlptim1) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } __HAL_RCC_LPTIM1_FORCE_RESET(); __HAL_RCC_LPTIM1_RELEASE_RESET(); /*lptimer reset block end*/ LPTIM_OC_ConfigTypeDef sConfig1 = {0}; hlptim1.Instance = LPTIM1; hlptim1.Init.Clock.Source = LPTIM_CLOCKSOURCE_APBCLOCK_LPOSC; hlptim1.Init.Clock.Prescaler = LPTIM_PRESCALER_

Hi All,We bought 3 STM32MP157D-EV1 boards (https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/stm32mp157f-ev1.html)While running in it as it is out of the box, we have found out that on-board STLink-V2.1 doesn't work at all when connected to Win11.We've installed latest STM32CubeProgrammer and it actually installed latest STLink USB drivers (VCP and STLink) but despite all our efforts STLink doesn't work (LD06 doesn't glow) and Win11 Device Manager flags it as under error:Is there solution to this issue ?

Hello,I’m working on an embedded project using ThreadX, and I’ve encountered what appears to be a queue memory overflow issue.I’ve created two queues: one for data messages and one for events. Both are configured to hold 100 messages of the following structure:typedef struct { ENGINE_ID origin; ENGINE_ID destination; EVENTS objectEvent; CMDVALUES command; } INTERNAL_QUEUE_OBJECT;All fields are enums or uint32_t values (implicitly 4 bytes each), so the structure size is 16 bytes. However, the compiler optimise it to 4 bytes total.here, I have the queue configuration (everything align with ULONGS):#define QUEUE_SIZE 100 #define QUEUE_MESSAGE_SIZE sizeof(INTERNAL_QUEUE_OBJECT) #define QUEUE_MESSAGE_SIZE_ULONGS ((QUEUE_MESSAGE_SIZE + sizeof(ULONG) - 1) / sizeof(ULONG)) TX_QUEUE dataQueueHandle = {0}; TX_QUEUE eventQueueHandle = {0}; ULONG dataQueueBuffer[QUEUE_SIZE * QUEUE_MESSAGE_SIZE_ULONGS]; ULONG eventQueueBuffer[QUEUE_SIZE * QUEUE_MESSAGE_SIZE_ULONGS]; tx_queue_create(&data

Hello,I want to try out 6LowPan on S2LP and found that in SUBG2 module I can do that on Contiki. Everything is being built on `NUCLEO-H753ZI` + `NUCLEO-S2868A2`. But after trying to generate code I found few issues in order to make it compile. Maybe it is some misconfiguration, some bugs or mixture of both. But basically issues I found with their fixes I have applied are as follows:even before `SUBG2` project was missing `NUCLEO...` defines in `stm32h7xx_nucleo_conf.h` and what is frustrating is that there is no user code place so what I have added is being removed after each code generation. Solution following lines added to `stm32h7xx_nucleo_conf.h`:#define USE_NUCLEO_144 #define USE_NUCLEO_H753ZICOM (Serial interface) initialization is generated with single argument, while Function requires 2. Solution was add `COM_InitTypeDef` variable and pass it too in `contiki-platform.c`.- BSP_COM_Init(COM1); + COM_InitTypeDef comInit = {.BaudRate = 115200, + .WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8

Hello There,We are using the board stm32mp257-ev1. Which has "STPMIC25A".I want to change voltage of LDO2 and BUCK4 on boot permanently (NVM of stpmic25A).Can i change these supply from stm32mp257-ev1 board itself ? If yes, How ?  Thanks and Regards,Ishan

Hi, I was trying to implement timer interrupt on an ST32F407 Discovery board. The ST-Link on my board has been broken so I used an external ST-Link dongle and I have it connected by following this post:https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/182763/how-to-use-an-external-st-link-v2-with-the-stm32f4-discovery-board I set up the timer so it will trigger interrupt once every 1s, but when I upload the code it does not go into interrupt. Only when I debug and put a break point in the callback function that it can execute the interrupt.Here is a link to my code:https://github.com/datcamap/DISCOVERYstm32.git Callback function

I want to measure ADC on multiple pins. I don't need DMA, just measure PA0 then measure PA2. Measuring PA0 works, but when I switch the channel to 2 it still measures from PA0:In my main loop I do this:  // Configure channel  ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0};  sConfig.Channel = ADC_CHANNEL_2;  sConfig.Rank = ADC_RANK_CHANNEL_NUMBER;  if (HAL_ADC_ConfigChannel(&hadc, &sConfig) != HAL_OK) {    return 0;  }  // Read one ADC value  HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc);  HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc, HAL_MAX_DELAY);  uint32_t adcValue = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc);  HAL_ADC_Stop(&hadc);For rank I tried 0, 1, 2, ADC_RANK_CHANNEL_NUMBER. Still only measures PA0 not PA2.Here is my MX_ADC_Init static void MX_ADC_Init(void){  ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0};  hadc.Instance = ADC1;  hadc.Init.OversamplingMode = DISABLE;  hadc.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_SYNC_PCLK_DIV1;  hadc.Ini

I want to know what the C library in the GCC toolchain used by STM32 MCUs
