Solved

Got this issue on entering sleep. I set my advertising to 1 second, and do not touch it after. Before sleep, all was good,  I was advertising every ~1 second but when I enter sleep I notice it jumps to 1 or 2 ms.. very fast, and not so power consuming. I didn't test with power testing tool, to validate the peaks, but only via the phone app. Wonder what might be causing this?? Do I accidently shutdown some peripheral important for BLE?

Hello everyone, I have the following question: when, as in the attached image, you see a peripheral like the USART1 in yellow (in conflict with other peripherals), is it still possible to use it? I ask this information because I am looking for a NUCLEO card that best meets my specifications and I want to avoid buying a card for which I can not use the peripherals I need to the fullest.

I would like to ask about the current load. I expect to use three sets of SDADC, SPI, and USART, all of which will use DMA for transfer and operate at a frequency of 11000HZ. The clock will use an external 12M crystal oscillator. I estimate from official data that it will be 60mA. I don't know if this judgment is feasible.

Hi everyone,I’ve designed a schematic based on the STM32G0B1CE microcontroller. Since there’s no official development board available for this specific MCU, I used the schematic of the STM32G0B1RE Nucleo board as a reference, along with the STM32G0B1CE datasheet, to create my design.I’m planning to use the internal 16 MHz oscillator, so I’ve opted not to include an external HSE or LSE in the design.I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could review my schematic and provide feedback. If there are any issues, missing components, or design improvements you can suggest, I’d be thankful for your input. Thanks in advance!

I've been trying to find examples of the STM32N6 using the internal SMPS however, other than trying to reverse engineer the Nucleo or Discovery boards, there doesn't seem to be much literature available showing this.Ideally (for cost and board layout reasons), I just want to power the N6 with a single 3.3V supply (plus the 1.8V AON supply) and use the internal SMPS to provide VDDCORE.Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?

Hello, I just designed an electronic card using the STM32G474QET6TR. Just a day before receiving the card I realised I had made a mistake on the routing. I want to use SPI2 to driver 2 MAX4896ETP+ that are daisy chained. As per the MAX datasheet, to do this you're supposed to connect as follows : But I realised while doing the pin allocation on the ioc file of my new STM32CubeIDE project that I actually messed up on my routing. I inverted the SPI2_SCK and the SPÏ2_MISO.SO I'm left with:- PB13 connected to the second MAX DOUT- PB14 connected to the both MAXs SCLKWHen it should be the otherway arround. SO my question is acually quite simple, is it that big a problem ? Can I fix it through software or am I going to have to cut both tracks and then solder a wire to invert it ? Thanks for your time and answers

Hi,I have two sliders that I want dependent on one another. Slider1 has a minimum value of 0 and Slider2 has a maximum value of 50. How can I make it so that the maximum value for Slider1 is never greater than the minimum value for Slider2? I.e. if I move Slider2 to 28, then the Slider1 range changes to 0-27. Please let me know if this is doable. Thank you for your help in advance.

According to erratum 2.22.10 of STM32H562xx/563xx/573xx in RMII 10MHz mode packets should be accepted when both dribble and CRC error is flagged. According to Reference Manual RM0481 Rev4 Table 692 dribble bit is valid in MII mode only. Pls. clarify

Hello, I'm trying to use the repeat counter of the 2D GPDMA peripheral. However, when I configure this with CubeMX and run it, I can see that the BRC register is always at zero, while the BNDT register is set to the correct value. I've stepped through the initialization code and the node does have the correct parameters, they just don't get configured into the ADC on the HAL_DMAEx_List_Start_IT call in HAL_ADC_Start_DMA. I have also tried to configure it using linked list mode with the same parameters, which resulted in the same behaviour. The first "block" gets copied properly, it just never uses the repeat counter, remaining at the first block.I know the ADC code is working fine since it runs fine when using non-2d addressing. The Node Config that is retrieved in the HAL_ADC_Start_DMA callAfter the HAL_DMAEx_List_Start_IT call in HAL_ADC_Start_DMACubeMX Config part 1CubeMX Config part 2

Hi!I want to build a project for STM32U575. I want to use FreeRTOS, but it seems like there are some functions that won't work with it (like the SD). Is there any place where I can see what works or doesn't with each one? Or if  I can use FreeRTOS anyways and still use the SD? Thanks

Hello ST Team, I am using STM32CubeIDE and working on STM32F072R8T6 MCU. I am not able to debug my code. Same code was working fine till few days.  But now it give  me follow errorError: Data mismatch found at address 0x08001D99 (byte = 0x60 instead of 0x68) Error: Download verification failed Encountered Error when opening C:\ST\STM32CubeIDE_1.18.0\STM32CubeIDE\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.cubeprogrammer.win32_2.2.100.202412061334\tools\bin\STM32_Programmer_CLI.exeError in STM32CubeProgrammerShutting down...Exit. Please help me for the same. Good Morning,I own both a SensorTile.box and a SensorTile.Box PRO. I used the SensorTile.box to identify anomaly vibrations on a device, using the prebuilt app, with slight modifications, that performs the FFT of data coming from the accelerometer and then the FFT Compare with the reference FFT captured when no anomaly is present on the device. Now, due to some limitations of the SensorTile.box, I want to replicate it on the SensorTile.box PRO, but among the available functions offered to manipulate data, there is only FFT (DFT - Discrete Fourier Transform), but not the FFT Compare which is available on the base board. The question is: how can I recreate the app developed on SensorTile.box to operate also on the SensorTile.Box PRO? Do I need any firmware upgrade and if yes, where I can download it? It seems to me very strange a so important function is not present and I don't think it could be difficult to insert it also on this device.Could someone share with me the firmware upgr

I am trying to use CLion to program STM32 MCUs as an alternative to other IDEs. For flashing and debugging, I want to use the Embedded GDB Server provided by ST, specifically ST-LINK_gdbserver.exe.I prefer not to use OpenOCD because I have found it to be less stable for my use case. The Problem:I am struggling to find the correct configuration to make ST-LINK_gdbserver.exe work properly with CLion. I tried using a configuration I found in this GitHub issue:Link: Official ST-LINK gdbserver support · Issue #354 · Marus/cortex-debugHowever, when I try to run the GDB Server with this configuration:I receive the following error: C:\ST\STM32CubeIDE_1.13.1\STM32CubeIDE\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.stlink-gdb-server.win32_2.2.0.202409170845\tools\bin\ST-LINK_gdbserver.exe -p 3333 -cp C:\ST\STM32CubeIDE_1.13.1\STM32CubeIDE\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.cubeprogrammer.win32_2.2.0.202409170845\tools\bin -k STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. Hello, Datasheet DS14791 Rev 4 has a note on page 161 stating that PCB and pin capacitance for the OSC_IN/OSC_OUT Interface can be assumed as 4 pF combined.I qoute: "For CL1 and CL2, it is recommended to use high-quality external ceramic capacitors, designed for high-frequency applications, and selected to match the requirements of thecrystal or resonator (see Figure 20). CL1 and CL2 are usually the same size. The crystalmanufacturer typically specifies a load capacitance, which is the series combination of CL1and CL2. The PCB and pin capacitance must be included (4 pF can be used as a roughestimate of the combined pin and board capacitance)." I would calculate C1 = C2 = 2*(C_LOAD - C_STRAY) and assume C_STRAY with 2 pF in this case.- Can you confirm that this is the correct way to size C1 and C2? I was wondering if the same assumption can be made for OSC32_IN and OSC32_OUT Pins. I didn't find a note on that. Otherwise I would go by the chapter 5.3.17 I/O port characteris

Dear Community,I'm evaluating whether some of the STM32 ICs are suitable for future projects using simple CNNs (Convolutional Neural Networks).I'm running into problems when trying to analyze a simple CNN model in the ONNX format (converted to ONNX from pyTorch) in the STM32CubeMX AI IDE. I'm using ST Edge AI Core v2.0.0-20049 and once I click on 'analyze' in the network tab, the IDE gives me the error 'INTERNAL ERROR: 'kernel_shape''. Please see the model attached below.I could not find any hint in the docs and as far as I know all the operations should be supported, shouldn't they?I tried to experimenting with the layers and the kernel sizes but the error was not fixed. The CONV-Layer is leading to the error.I would be happy about a hint how to fix this error or if the platform does not support some operations or if there are some general issues known with CNNs.I attached the ONNX model below.Thank you!

There is a sensor that I receive data from with 250 Hz sampling from Interrupt. I write the incoming data to the FreeRTOS queue. And I pull this data from the queue and write it continuously to the SD card. There is also a BLE in my project. When there is a BLE connect, I also write the data coming from the interrupt to the BLE queue and send it to the phone application via BLE. The problem is: When the device works as I explained above, I noticed that BLE does not work stably. It can miss connect or disconnect packets. When I did some research on this, many people have experienced this problem. It is suggested to use SEQUENCE in a FreeRTOS project. However, SEQUENCE is a library designed for bare metal. There is no documentation for the SEQUENCE library. There is no sample code either. Can you help me with this issue? What do we need to do? Can SEQUENCE solve the problem?- There are 3 tasks in the project. (sd card, ble task, control task)- Task piorities are the same. (When they are no

Hi,I need to understand better how the "HAL_SAI_Receive_DMA(&hsai_BlockB1,ADC_Buffer,CodecBuffer_Size)" works.I've a codec connected to the SAI 1 of a STMH723 MPU and I implemented a Ping-Pong routine to acquire and send the data to the Codec; two Callback function swap the buffers:uint8_t ADC_Buffer[80000] __attribute__ ((aligned (4))); void HAL_SAI_RxCpltCallback(SAI_HandleTypeDef *hsai_BlockB1){adcp31=(q31_t *)&ADC_Buffer[BUFFER_SIZE_R/2];RxDataReady1=1;} void HAL_SAI_RxHalfCpltCallback(SAI_HandleTypeDef *hsai_BlockB1){adcp31=(q31_t *)&ADC_Buffer;dacp31=(q31_t *)&DAC_Buffer;RxDataReady=1;} If I write HAL_SAI_Receive_DMA(&hsai_BlockB1,ADC_Buffer,20000) what happens (in details) ? Thank you

I'm having trouble connecting my STM32 H743ZI-Q device to STM32CubeIDE. I've tried various troubleshooting steps, but the IDE still doesn't recognize the device. Has anyone experienced this issue and found a solution? Any guidance would be appreciated!

Hi,Has anyone used the STM32H750B-DK on-board eMMC, 4GB memory.I have been unable to find an example and it is a big job to write something from scratch.I am assuming that it would use the SDMMC1 peripheral in MMC 8 Bit mode and that you would need to port fatFs to it.I cannot find any detailed data sheet on the THGBMTG5D1LBAIL / THGBMDG5D1LBAIL chips to get the correct timing data etc.  Does anyone know where to get a detailed sheet. All that is readily available is a data brief for promotional purposes. The parameter settings for the interface are pretty basic:So it shouldn't be too difficult, but any help would be appreciated.  Kind RegardsRob

Hi. There is a minor bug in writing to LEDs when this package is used on the STM32H573I-DK development board. In ..\Common\cli\logging.c there is the following code at line 77: HAL_GPIO_WritePin( LED_RED_GPIO_Port, LED_GREEN_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET ); HAL_GPIO_WritePin( LED_RED_GPIO_Port, LED_RED_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET );The first line has the wrong port specified. On boards with both LEDs on the same port this wouldn't be noticed, but on the STM32H573I-DK the LEDs are on different ports.

Hello, I'm working on a project using the STM32F429I-DISC1 board and need to implement CAN communication. I'm using TouchGFX for the GUI, and when I generate the code, only CAN2 is available as an option. CAN2 is mapped to pins PB12 (CAN2_RX) and PB13 (CAN2_TX), but according to the board schematic, these pins are already connected to USB_OTG_HS_ID and USB_OTG_HS_VBUS. Is there any way that I can use CAN with this type of project? I see no other alternate pins. FMC and LTDC are taking up all the other options. Thank you.

Hello,I have a discovery kit STM32N6570-DK and I am trying to follow the instructions in ST Model Zoo Services so that I can train, evaluate and deploy an object detection model that can detect cars. So I downloaded the Pascal_VOC_2012 dataset, I made some custom data cleanup to keep only the images with the vehicles, (classes  [ bicycle, bus, car, motorbike ]) and on that I used the predefined scripts in ST model zoo to train st_ssd_mobilenet_v1. This went well and the evaluation gave good accuracy results. Then I used the scipts to make predictions on some images. The prediction options "host" and "stedgeai_host" also went well. When I try the option "stedgeai_n6", then the compilation and programming of the board works ok but then the inference freezes. After some debugging I found out that there is a software epoch that performs a Tile operation and this one freezes. In the network_generate_report.txt I noticed some question marks just before this Tile epoch.&

Hello, I'm using stm32u5 series MCU and I need help on below.1. System clock I've configured to 24Mhz and how do I set my ADC clock to sample at 20Khz2. Without DMA, single channel data collection I'm able to do but not able to do for multiple channels.

Hi,I'm trying to make a dynamic scroll graph such that the number of data points and x-axis scale changes when a user sets a value through a slider. The issue I'm running into is the inability to update the number of data points for when the graph scrolls (ie if scale is 30 min, then graph scrolls after 30 data points are added; if scale is 10 min, then graph scrolls after 10 data points are added). Using the slider below, the user is able to pick a number of minutes between 1 and 30. I already have it so that the slider changes the x-axis scaling and labeling: For example, if the slider changes the visible range to 10, the number of data points is still always set to 30. This causes the graph to not scroll until 30 data points have been plotted even if it's not shown on the graph. Is there a way to change the number of data points (max capacity) through code? One thing I tried is within the touchgfx framework, I went into the graph widget folder and edited the AbstractD

Hello,I've noticed an issue when using the RTC to try to calculate subseconds. I am using the NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q board, with a new project with these settings:with this clock configuration: I've added this code to the while loop: /* Infinite loop */ /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ RTC_TimeTypeDef last_time = {0}; int first = 1; while (1) { RTC_TimeTypeDef sTime = {0}; RTC_DateTypeDef sDate = {0}; do { HAL_RTC_GetTime(&hrtc, &sTime, RTC_FORMAT_BIN); HAL_RTC_GetDate(&hrtc, &sDate, RTC_FORMAT_BIN); } while (sTime.SubSeconds != hrtc.Instance->SSR); if (!first) { if (sTime.Seconds < last_time.Seconds) { HAL_Delay(1000); // Breakpoint 1 } else if (sTime.Seconds == last_time.Seconds && sTime.SubSeconds > last_time.SubSeconds) { HAL_Delay(1000); // Breakpoint 2 } } first = 0; last_time = sTime; HAL_Delay(100); /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ } /* USER CODE END 3 */The issue I am seeing is tha
