Hi,  I am not able to download the STM32CubeProg. Somehow the download just not start from https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubeprog.html?ecmp=tt15529_us_social_may2020#overview Here in the image below you can see that it tries to do something but there doesn't appear any download in my internet browser. Yesterday I was perfectly able to download CubeIDE en CubeMX Is there anyone who can help me?

Hi,I’m working on an STM32F767 custom bootloader with two application slots:Main Application Slot → starts at 0x08040000Backup (Factory) Slot → starts at 0x08100000I have written a bootloader that checks both slots and jumps to the valid application: SCB->VTOR = app_base; // Set vector table offset __set_MSP(*(uint32_t*)app_base); // Set initial stack pointer void (*app_reset_handler)(void) = (void*)(*(uint32_t*)(app_base + 4)); app_reset_handler(); // Jump to reset handler ProblemI tested two scenarios: Using app_main.ld (FLASH origin = 0x08040000)I built one binary with FLASH start = 0x08040000.I program the same binary into both slots:Slot 1 → 0x08040000Slot 2 → 0x08100000Result:Main slot works :white_heavy_check_mark:Backup slot fails :cross_mark: — the application does not start.QuestionThe binary built for 0x08040000 fails when executed from 0x08100000?Is there a way to make one application binary run from both flash addresses?Edited to apply source code formatt

Hello everyone,  I'm using STLINK-V3MINIE as my programmer. The VCP is functional when I received it. But as soon as I upgrade its firmware to V3J16M8 STM32 Debug+VCP, the VCP is unusable. The VCP device enumerated on Windows 11 PC is openable but doesn't give out any digital waveforms on RXD and TXD pins, also no message is displayed when I give a valid UART TTL signal to RXD pin. Currently its firmware is running on V3J16M9 flashed with ST-LINKUPGRADE software on Windows 11. VCP is still not working. I can't remember its factory firmware version. How to solve this problem? Ideally its VCP should work as many USB-to-TTL.

Hi Everyone,I'm trying to install TouchGFX Designer (v4.25.0) but I keep getting this error during setup:“TouchGFX Setup Error writing to file: C:\TouchGFX\4.25.0\designer\TouchGFXDesigner-4.25.0.exe. Has anyone encountered this issue or found a workaround?T

I'm working on a STM32C071RB, which I've managed to generate PWM pulses as desired. Hey all,For reference I am enabling the https server using NetxDuo Stack for firmware update in my device.Initially we were using Internal Flash but now we are interested in External Flash particularly SDRAM. I was able to boot the application code from SDRAM, however i am facing a problem, whenever i call a rest API like GET request a hardfault occurs where the stack traces shows it is originated over _nx_crypto_sha256_update() function in the nx_crypto_sha2.c file over the use the memcpy(). The strange thing is everything works with no hardfault when application work in Internal Flash.Furthermore, I am able to run RTOS on SDRAM and i can ping my IP on ethernet as well.Kindly someone help me out for this, i will be grateful. Also if i should report this behavior somewhere else? Thanks

I’m working on an STM32MP135 (STM32MP13‑DISCO) using Yocto/OpenSTLinux 5.15 and trying to get SPI5 working via the spidev interface. My device tree configures SPI5 pins and enables spidev@0 at 500 kHz (see DTS fragment below). /dev/spidev0.0 appears on boot. For testing, I have physically connected MOSI to MISO for loopback, and CS (PH11) is connected to the peripheral and can be pulled low. Hi!I'm having an issue with the CDC class for USB on my STM32L476 board. I am using the Receive function in usbd_cdc_if.c file to track incoming Modbus traffic from USB. I am noticing that when I write multiple registers (function code 0x10) to the slave using Modbus Poll Software, the incoming buffer always has the last byte as 00. Here are some images to help explain:The following image is a Communication Log from Modbus Poll Software that shows the Modbus Frame being sent:Notice the highlighted portions, which are the CRC Lo and CRC Hi bytes. I also confirm with a USB sniffer program that these exact frames are being sent to the slave. Also note that the first frame is function code 0x06 (Write Single Register), and the remaining frames are function code 0x10 (Write Multiple Registers). Now, here is the incoming Buf in usbd_cdc_if.c, printed to the terminal right away:Notice that for the first frame (Write Single Register), the CRC bytes at the end are intact and matches what w

Hi everyone!I am currently testing the reading of a tag with an ST25TV02K chip using two different readers. Both readers are based on the same NFC chip and use the same antenna coil, but they differ in the matching network between the NFC chip and the antenna. In theory, the first reader should be better matched to the NFC chip, while the second reader should be less well matched (and therefore expected to deliver less power). I have verified the reader matching using a VNA. However, I am observing an issue: at the same tag-to-reader distance and with the same power settings, tag read/write operations with the ST25TV02K sometimes fail when using the better-matched reader. This makes me wonder whether the better-matched reader might actually be delivering too much power to the tag, such that the VAC0–VAC1 voltage exceeds the maximum limit, preventing the ST25TV02K from responding correctly. Conversely, the less well-matched reader could be delivering lower power, keeping VAC0–VAC1 w

Hello,I drived lcd by using partial frame buffer. Now, I am trying to update it with double buffer strategy. The LCD has TE pin that helps checking Vsync.I could not find a clear example for double buffering method. I don't need FMC since internal ram is enough for driving.Do you have any example or steps that I need to follow for those specs:Touchgfx with double buffer + FreeRTOS (CMSIS V2) + SPI LCD (With TE pin)  Touchgfx Version : 4.25.0CubeIde Version : 1.17.0MCU : H7 seriesBest regards,Faruk

Hi all,I would like to create a custom slider with 2 indicators of the lock when they lock vs. unlock and 2 background image text with Lock and Unlock texts.I similar like a toggle button, but it actions like a slider; once it goes to the left is locked and right is unlocked. Is there anyway I can achieve this? Thank you.

Hello, I am using STEVAL 25R200 board to read/write NFC tags. Currently, I am using NFC V type tag which is getting detedted by the EVAL GUI software as well as by the code I implemented using RFAL layer functions through Cube IDE. My tag UID as seen in the EVAL GUI is e002080ab3e64bc8 which matches what I am getting after rfalNfcGetActiveDevice() function executes. I have the following testReadNfcBlock() function based on the rfalNfcvPollerReadSingleBlock() function. I am calling this function with input parameter as the dev->nfcid (that I get from the rfalNfcGetActiveDevice) inside the while loop. The read fails with a timeout error code 4. I even tried reversing the UID just to confirm that the UID handling error is not the problem.P.S. I checked out a similar post 'https://community.st.com/t5/st25-nfc-rfid-tags-and-readers/x-cube-nfc6-polling-demo-modification-and-sending-commands-to/m-p/635714#M10285' where a similar(same?) error is discussed but t

Hello ST Team,   I am working on the STDES-30KWVRECT Vienna PFC rectifier board and I need the following hardware resources:  1. PCB design files (Gerber or Altium project)  2. Assembly drawing with reference designators (for component placement)  3. Any available footprint/library files related to this design   This information will help me to reproduce the hardware accurately for research and prototyping purposes.   If these files are subject to NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) or require additional steps to access, please let me know how I can proceed.   Thank you very much for your support.   Best regards,  Omkar Swami

Hi,I found a bug on new version 2.18 STM32Cube programmer.Of course, I have the same problem with the new version of STM32CubeIde 1.17It looks file STM32_Prog_DB_0x483.xml in \Data_Base folder has changed between versions 2.17 and 2.18If I use the file STM32_Prog_DB_0x483.xml from the version 2.17 and I replace this file in version 2.18, I can access my STM32H730 device. We tried it on 2 different computers.I do not really understand the xml file differences, so I do not know if I can continue to use STM32_Prog_DB_0x483.xml file of version 2.17 with version 2.18 and STM32CubeIDE 1.17Do you have a workaround ?Sébastien

Hello everyone,I am using Nucleo H745ZI dual core and I want to communicate intercore by OpenAMP.The ST only giving example send message from core M7 to M4. But I want to send message from core M4 to M7, I tried follow the OpenAMP flowchart but not working.Do anyone has the example of OpenAMP send message from M4 to M7?

Hello Forum,I am trying to install STM32CubeMX version 6.15.0 on Windows 11 (64bit).  I want to install it for "all users".  I've downloaded and extracted the archive.  I can run the installer 'SetupSTM32CubeMX-6.15.0-Win.exe' with Admin privileges and it extracts and runs to the "Select Install Mode".  At this point if I choose "Install for all users" then the dialog just exits and nothing happens.  It works as expected with STM32CubeMX version 6.12.0Does anyone have any ideas on what's going wrong? A big ask I know.  Can anyone suggest where to look for clues, are there any install logs that may give me a clue as to what's happening? Here are the machine details:Windows Type: Windows 11 Enterprise, Version 24H2, OSBuild 26100.4946Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1335U (1.30 GHz)RAM: 64.0 GB (63.6 GB usable)System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorDisk: 477GB free space on the SSD, C:\Update: I've also tried

Hello, I start using Free RTOS on H755ZI dual core, I only use RTOS on core M7, core M4 do nothing and I received a notice from CubeMX:"CubeMX strongly suggests to use a time-base source other than SysTick when FreeRTOS is used."But I can not change Systick to other timer be like the image above. What setting step did I miss?

I have the STM32N6570-DK board, and I was able to execute the example from:- https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32N6-GettingStarted-ObjectDetectionFollowing the steps provided in the workshop:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29EUWNwfywI&list=PLTJzs51NlEICI7ARAHOyUqMhTgJE0UFv0&index=6- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VV9f5e3nqM4&list=PLTJzs51NlEICI7ARAHOyUqMhTgJE0UFv0&index=7---However, after I was able to execute it at first, I tried to convert my own model and modify the example just to execute my own Yolo model, just to execute the inference and perhaps get the inference time via UART.The conversion worked fine using the stedgeai (version 2.2) command; however, it didn't work on the board on the first try, which was expected. After a few failed tries, I removed all of my local changes and loaded the initial example binary, the "Model/STM32N6570-DK/network_data.hex" and the application binary again, using the board in development mode. To my surpri

I'm currently tinkering with the BLE_Ota example for the P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo and created a debug build spec for it. The default linker script is /* Specify the memory areas */ MEMORY { FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 28K RAM1 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000008, LENGTH = 0x2FFF8 RAM_SHARED (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20030000, LENGTH = 10K }but the image built with the debug build spec is larger, so the length of the flash area to use must be adjusted: /* Specify the memory areas */ MEMORY { FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 32K RAM1 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000008, LENGTH = 0x2FFF8 RAM_SHARED (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20030000, LENGTH = 10K } that made me wonder, is it possible to define constants in the build specs such that conditional statements (e.g using the DEFINED statement) inside the .ld file can be used? something like FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = DEFINED(DEBUG) ? 32K : 28K

I am facing difficulties configuring the GPO interrupt on the ST25DV04KC to trigger exclusively when an NDEF message is written to the tag via the RF interface. The NDEF formatting is working correctly, and I am able to read and write data without issues both through the RF interface and via my microcontroller using the I2C protocol. However, I have not found a configuration or register setting that allows the GPO to generate an interrupt solely upon an NDEF write event initiated from the RF side. The interrupts are only working if I configure them as shown below.NFC07A1_NFCTAG_ConfigIT(NFC07A1_NFCTAG_INSTANCE, ST25DVXXKC_GPO1_ENABLE_MASK | ST25DVXXKC_GPO1_FIELDCHANGE_MASK);However, in this configuration, as expected, the interrupts are triggered simply by bringing the RF device close to the tag, without performing any read or write request. Therefore, this behavior does not serve the intended purpose.I tried the configurations below but was not successful. Shouldn’t this work?NFC07A1_N

I'm having a persistent /!\-icon sticking to my project icon. It's annoying. How can I get rid of this? I cannot see another such icon attached to any object in the project tree branches, if I didn't overlook any.The project builds without any errors.

Hello, I am using STEVAL25R200 evaluation board and integrating read/write application using the ndef_read/write examples provided in the documentation embedded library. In my main function, I am Initializing the NFC using rfalNfcInitialize(), rfalNfcDeactivate() and rfalNfcDiscover(). In the while loop, using the rfalWorker() function, I am polling for NFC tags. I have checkd using the EVAL GUI software that a NFC V tag in indeed present and being detected along with its ID (e002080ab3e64bc8).However, the tag is not detected in my code. I get the rfaNfcGetState = RFAL_NFC_STATE_POLL_TECHDETECT on my serial terminal and then it waits indefinitely. In my opinion, the activation of tag needs to happen using Interrupt routine but it never gets called and I never even proceed further. I have set my IRQ (PA0) and SS (PB0) pins in nfc_conf.h and initialized the IRQ pin as follows.#define BUS_SPI1_NSS_GPIO_PIN GPIO_PIN_0#define BUS_SPI1_NSS_GPIO_PORT GPIOB#define BUS_SPI1_

I'm creating an I3C target device.  It uses an STM32U385RG as the microcontroller.  According to the reference manual most bits of the Provisional ID are fixed and cannot be configured.  This doesn't seem to allow for creating an I3C target device using my own MIPI manufacturer ID.  Is that correct?  Or is there some other way to provide a fully customizable Provisional ID?If not configurable this seems like it makes the Provisional ID useless as it will be identical for all I3C target devices from all designers at all companies...

In the STSPIN32G0601 device, the stm32g031 controller core has internal connections to complementary gate drivers. The outputs from the stm32g031 that can be configured with alternate function complementary signals (PA7, 8, 9, 10, PB0 and 1) are not used though.  Internal connections in the STSPIN32G0601 are PA8, 9, 10, PB13, 14, and 15.  I need to program a 3-wire, 2-phase signal that has a pulse frequency of 3,840Hz.  I can do this with 3 separate output compare interrupts with each interrupt service routine writing to 2 pins.  This is cumbersome compared to using the timer peripheral's PWM capabilities which are not available due to internal signal wiring.  I have found nothing in the MCSDK development software that addresses this; so, I am coding in STM32CubeIDE.  MY QUESTION IS:  am I overlooking a simpler way to approach this?
