Posted on February 18, 2018 at 18:35Hi,I get troubles to start with my new IDW01M1 module.I use it with the NUCLEO-L053R8 board, but none of applications provided with the WiFi CubeExpansion package works with my hardware. For example, I load the 'WiFi_VCOM' application to the main board. The application launches, but it cannot set the connection with WiFi module at start (message 'Error in baud-rate auto-detection...' on termnial).Again, with the 'Client_socket' application: it starts, ask for identifiers, and freeze at WiFi module initialization. It seems that there are no communications at all with the module.I tried Resets on both boards, and Factory setting reset on WiFi module (set GPIO0 high at start), without success.Jumpers are placed on JP3 and JP4, no jumpers on JP1/JP2LED1 is on, LED2, LED3, LED4 are off.Does I missed something obvious, or my hardware is broken ???#x-cube-wifi #spwf01

Posted on February 27, 2018 at 20:37 Hey everyone, This is going to be a lengthy post but any help will really be appreciated!! I'd like to integrate the MCU that I've been using into my final system(i.e no dev board) I've designed PCB's in the past, but this feels a little more up there, so I just want a few checks I've read the documentation although this is what I've gathered: Documents used: http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/datasheet/group3/d6/11/13/15/f4/38/49/79/DM00330506/files/DM003305pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM003305pdf http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/application_note/b0/5c/ba/b2/cb/10/41/dd/DM001645pdf/files/DM001645pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM001645pdf http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/application_note/b9/9b/16/3a/12/1e/40/0c/CD001675pdf/files/CD001675pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.CD001675pdf This is an overview of me designing the necessary hardware to get a device up and run

Posted on March 02, 2018 at 18:48Hi,i have a STM32L475 with USB OTG as Host with USB Disk attached and an GPIOInt with callback void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin).If i build my HAL without USB all is ok, but when i build it with USB Support, the callback is never called anymore. Can anybody help me (I have tested to set the usb Priority to 1 and the GPIOInt to 0 but it had failed).Best RegardsBrian#gpio-interrupt #usb-msc-device #stm32-l4

Posted on February 02, 2017 at 20:47Can anyone advise me if the STM32F0 or STM32L0 range supports a USB host or SD cards. In the Datasheets it refers to usb but I can't find something explicitly which says they support usb host.I want a controller where I can save data to an SD card or USB memory stick. Thanks

Posted on February 20, 2018 at 16:15HiI'm testing F767Zi-Nucleo to write some data to a 16G SD card with no file system.With HAL_SD_WriteBlocks function, everything works fine. I can read out the data that just have been wrote.With HAL_SD_WriteBlocks_DMA function, no error during excution. But I can only read out 0x00 in the data block that just been wrote before.SDMMC controller clock frequency is 4 MHz.SDMMC1 and SDMMC2 are tested and they both have this problem.Has anyone encountered same situation? Need help. Thanks a lot.

Posted on February 23, 2018 at 17:55Hi,      I tried to run the example on STM32F072-EVAL found in  STMicroelectronics\STM32Cube_FW_F0_V1.9.0\Projects\STM32072B_EVAL\Applications\USB_Device\CDC_Standalone.When I plug CN4 USB connector to my PC, I see a STMicroelectronics Virtual COM Port (COM3) appear but with an exclamation mark. I have the error code 'This device cannot start. (Code 10))My PC has Windows 10.1) I tried to reinstall the drivers (even if it is not necessary for Windows 10)2) I tried to increase the stack and the heap3) I tried to change my bDeviceClass and bDeviceSubClass to 2Unfortunately, I had no success with those modifications. Can somebody help me with that problem ?Vincent #stm32f072-eval-cdc

Posted on December 20, 2016 at 15:00I am porting older code to the HAL library using cubemx for an STM32F4_Discovery board. My application consists of a 'bootloader' that resides in the lower segment of flash. The actual application resides in higher segments. The bootloader can optionally flash those segments with new code and will then jump to that code. This code is regular code created via cubemx with a little different loader script to make the code reside higher in memory. So when the bootloader jumps to that code ALL initialization is done for the SECOND time, but now for the application in high memory. This used to work fine, but with the HAL library at least the Systick interrupt is NOT coming. So function HAL_Delay() is not working for example.I would have hoped that the HAL init code would work irrespective of the state of the processor, but alas...What I have tried is to execute some DeInit-functions before the jump, e.g.USBD_LL_DeInit(&hUsbDeviceFS);HAL_DeInit();jumptoapp()

Posted on May 06, 2017 at 00:19Hello,I have been trying to download the library for CLASSB certification for STM32's but i can't manage to download it.http://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-classb.html I tried to press request software and fill the blanks but even tho i pressed the confirm request it won't progress. What should i do? I have to download the library for a university project. Thanks for help!!!

Posted on February 21, 2018 at 22:43Hello,We're using the LSM6DS33 accelerometer/gyrometer in a product, which is expected to be continuously manufactured for ~5 years. I'm slightly worried about its longevity. I know that nowadays it is listed as Active, and also that it is not in any longevity program. Is it expected to be classified as NRND soon? Can I use it in this application without worries or should I be prepared for future changes since the beginning? Thanks,

Posted on March 01, 2018 at 20:31Hi everybody, and greetings as this is my first post here Anyway, I am experimenting with my X-NUCLEO-IDS01A4 Spirit1 expansion board on a NUCLEO-STM32L476RG board. I'd like to write my own SPIRIT1 driver and I'm using the Low Layer library from the STM32CUBE library, no IDE just Sublime and my Makefile and JLINK to debug. So far I can read and write the SPIRIT1 registers and now I'd like to configure the registers. I've downloaded the SPIRIT1 DK App and I generated a configuration code (868 MHz, data rate 38.4 kbps) containing 2 functions: SpiritBaseConfiguration and SpiritVcoCalibration. The former executes flawlessly, however, the execution stucks in the latter function, here:SpiritSpiCommandStrobes(COMMAND_LOCKTX);do{SpiritSpiReadRegisters(0xC1, 1, &state);}while((state&0xFE) != 0x1E); /* wait until LOCK (MC_STATE = 0x0F <<1) */SpiritSpiReadRegisters(0xE5, 1, &cal_words[0]); /* calib out word for TX */Between the 2 functions I calle

Posted on February 22, 2018 at 15:04Hi,In-fact I tried asking query through service request. The website portal seems to be very slow. I am not sure whether it got submitted or not.So I am asking the query directly to you here. Please help me in addressing this query :Hi, We are using STM32H753xI in our design and we would like to use OTG_HS interface. Our plan is to connect the OTG_HS signals (DP, DM, VBUS, ID) to micro USB connector. The query is CAN WE CONNECT KEYBOARD AND MOUSE to the OTG_HS interface? We may run OS in microcontroller and we will view it through LCD interface. By connecting Keyboard/mouse we want to give inputs to OS. Is it possible to achieve this requirement using OTG_HS interface?Hope I made my query clear to you. Please respond ASAP.Regards,Vijetha

USART1 and USART2 have separate interrupts. USART from 3 to 6 have one common interrupt. Apparently, STM32-MAT/TARGET searches for individual interrupts for each USART, because the code generated for USART1 and USART2 works correctly (via interrupts), but for USART3-USART6, STM32-MAT/TARGET generates the code as if they were working without interrupts, in polling mode (HAL_UART_Receive function). At the same time, the interrupt handler for USART3_6 is generated by the ''Cube'', but is not used during operation. It turns out completely incorrect work of the code. That is, STM32-MAT/TARGET does not accept USART with common interrupts as working on interrupts. This is even seen in the Simulink USART blocks - Interrupt checkbox is unfilled for USART3 - USART6.Here we

Posted on February 23, 2018 at 07:04 Hello, I have developed a IAP application based on STM32F030CCT6. The application code is received on UART and I can store it in flash, I am storing codeat 0x08010000. But I am facing problems in executing it. While trying to jump at code my code goes into HardFault interrupt. And unfortunately on this MCU there is no implementation of HFSR and VTOR. Hence I am not getting the reason for hardfault! I am using below code for jumping. And I have also remapped the Vector table in application binary. I am using Keil MDK5 and hence I have verified the addresses of code from MAP file. The application code's RESET starts at 0x08010000. and the IAP starts at0x08000000 as expected. Please guide me. typedef void (*jumpFunction) (void);//typedef for function pointer jumpFunction JumpToFunction; //Function pointer uint32_t JumpAddress,somaddr;//Address of function pointer __disable_irq(); JumpAddress = *(__IO uint32_t*)(FLASH_X_START_ADDR + 4); JumpToFunc

Posted on February 21, 2018 at 18:04How to remove totally the Virtual COM driver for STM32?The STlink is working but the virtual com doesn-t work and windows 10 can not find driver to the board.Since the driver is delivered in a .EXE format I can not indicate windows where the driver is and re-installing the driver or try to auto search doesn't solve the problem. On the other hand the board is working in another windows machine.

Posted on September 13, 2016 at 01:03Everything in the code seems to be working properly in Debug Mode. As soon as a keyboard is plugged into the USB-OTG port on the board,  the USB-Debug log shows the MIDI class is started, the Init routines run, the endpoints are linked to MIDI In and MIDI Out, and MIDI Process seems to be armed and ready to accept MIDI input from the keyboard. However, when I play a note on the keyboard, I notice no data is being received. The MIDI core is idling, as if nothing is being output from the keyboard.Does anyone have any thoughts about what could be causing this? Thank you!!Christopher #usb #host #hal-usb-midi-host-f7-nucleo-144 #bulk-in #synth-usb-midi-nucleo-144
