I'm working on a project that uses the LIS2DH12 accelerometer by ST. I have a couple of questions about it, and as it is quite a common part, I wonder if anyone here knows the answers:I would like to know if it's possible to activate two interrupts, watermark and overflow, in the same pin. I tried to set them up, enabling latching interrupts in INT1 in CTRL_REG5 and setting both watermark and overflow in CTRL_REG3. When I get a watermark register, I read INT1_SRC, but that returns 0 (I would expect it to return 0x80, interrupt active) and it doesn't clear the interrupts. I don't know if the overflow interrupt ever kicks in, as I can't clear the watermark without reading the FIFO (I would expect that by enabling latching interrupts, I could clear the interrupt by reading INT1_SRC, and then leave the samples unread to trigger the overflow interrupt). In case somebody is asking why would I do this, I'm a bit paranoid, and don't want to miss an interrupt and end up losing data. Also, I know

Hi,In STM32CUBEMX software version 4.27.0 , when I generate code for keil, it changes compiler setting from my own -O0 parameter to -O3. If I change back this parameter in keil, in next code generation of stm32cubemx it changes this parameter again. It is very annoying. V4.26.0 is OK.Thanks,

I'm trying to utilize some of the "wavprocess" functions (from demo builder package) in one of my projects, but the memory allocation function always returns NULL. The memory region declared in the external memory space, but I changed it to the internal SRAM because I do not have external memory connected to my STM32F407 board. mem_TypeDef memory_pool __attribute__((at(0x20000000))); I tried it with the CCM enabled/disabled, different sizes of heap, but to no avail. The p_malloc() always returns with NULL. This is the function concerned:/** * @brief This function implement a simple memory management algorithme (First fit). * @param size : Requested memory size. * @retval Pointer to the allocated region. */ void * p_malloc(size_t size) { __IO uint8_t index = 0, counter = 0, start = 0; uint8_t PageCount = 0, NewStart = 0; if (size > 0) { /* look for the first contiguous memory that meet requested size. */ while ( index < (MAX_PAGE_NUMBER + 1)) { if (memory_pool.PageTabl

Hi, I have a board with STM32F501R8T6 and AT24C02 & DS1307 RTC are connected to I2C2. Earlier i had used custom I2C driver and interfaced them with a 8051 controller without any issues. Now since there is a need to change the I/0 pins config in ARM each time for read & write I had to chose the HAL library & use the Pins in I2C AF mode. I use STM32Cubemx for config. To read the DS1307 registers i used HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(&hi2c2,(uint16_t)0xD0<<1,0x0000,I2C_MEMADD_SIZE_8BIT,rxbuffer,3,1000); which returns HAL_OK and returns the value i had written using HAL MEM write command. However the clock never seemed to tick and i had changed RTC & crystal and still no luck. Finally today is when i found out that the data is being written and read from the EEPROM AT24C02 and not the RTC which is why the data is not advancing as it should in an RTC. The address for EEPROM is 0xA0. When I use 0xD0<<1 i noticed that inside HAL library the device address is 0x01A0. Is this

Hi,X-NUCLEO-53L1A1 expansion board uses an IC (ST2329AQTR) to shift the 3.3V I2C bus lines of the MCU to a 2.8V I2C bus for the proximity sensor VL53l1x.Why are there these strange connections between the 3.3V and 2.8V bus as shown on the schematic of the X-NUCLEO-53L1A1 (see attached file) ? Thanks,Jeremie

I am trying to connect to the SPC58EC-DISP board through PLS UDE Starter kit to program and debug the Serial Test Application example provided with the SPC5 Studio IDE. After opening the debug.wsx in the example project file on PLS UDE, an error appears.(Seen in UDE error png and the connection failed report log)I can see the devices connected through device manager as "PLS USB JTAG Adapter for SPC5xxxx A".Please let me know why I can not connect to the boards.

According to RM0433 rev 5 section 10.4.1, the reset values are 0xABFFFFFF for port A, 0xFFFFFEBF for port B, and 0xFFFFFFFF for all the others. This appears to agree with the bits shown in the register table at the end of the chapter. However, in the description at the bottom of 10.4.1 is the text “00: Input mode (reset state)?. So, is the reset state input, or is it analogue, for most pins?

Hello ST team,Do you have any news related to integration of TouchGFX in the current ST portfolio? As a user of STM32F7 Disco we will have to pay for high end graphics?I am interested in this more from hobby/non commercial point of view

Posted on February 20, 2018 at 02:22The ST25R3911B datasheet, page 14 Figure 3, shows a minimum configuration of antenna connection components. There are provided schematics and layouts for the differential antenna configuration, however are there any recommended component values/layout available for the single ended configuration?Datasheet: http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/datasheet/group3/ba/60/79/5c/bb/a9/41/76/DM00321525/files/DM00321525.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00321525.pdf Application note: http://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/dm00347152.pdf #st25r391x #st25r3911b

Hi,I am working on a consumer product based on STM32L4 microcontroller and need to register a new PID before we start shipping. Hy, I am planning a system where 2 STM32F042 UFQFPN28 devices serve as CAN Controller and are controlled by one master CPU. PCB Space and CPU pins are short. I need to guarantee a fail safe FW update for the two STM32 MCUs.I plan to wire the system as follows:My host CPU can switch pin functions between SPI MOSI / USART TX and SPI MISO / USART RX. So in application mode I do SPI communication with two separate SS lines, in bootloader mode, I will hold one STM in reset and communicate with the other over UART in bootloader mode. How can I activate bootloader mode? This device has empty check mechanism, so on first boot it activate bootloader automatically? And to trigger a firmware update in field, I need to erase 4 byte of User Flash from application and perform a reset to enter bootloader mode?To stay fail safe, I assume I write the first 4 bytes of User Flash (address 0x0800 0000) at the very end of bootloader action, right? My device will be pluggable. And I do not know the CAN bus stat

STM32 experts,I bought 2xNUCLEO-F042K6 for testing purposes. Reference manual says that uart speed at oversampling 16 is 3mbit/s, for oversampling 8 is 6mbit/s.Here is my working configuration. I send 100 bytes data at 3mbit/s and oversampling 16 from first nucleo to the second nucleo board: huart1.Instance = USART1; huart1.Init.BaudRate = 3000000; huart1.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; huart1.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart1.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart1.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart1.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart1.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; huart1.Init.OneBitSampling = UART_ONE_BIT_SAMPLE_DISABLE; huart1.AdvancedInit.AdvFeatureInit = UART_ADVFEATURE_NO_INIT; if (HAL_UART_Init(&huart1) != HAL_OK) { _Error_Handler(__FILE__, __LINE__); }everything works fine.But...When I change to 6mbit/s and oversampling 8 not all data is received. Above 3mbit/s data is corrupted. huart1.Instance = USART1; huart1.Init.BaudRate =

Hello,I'm independent developer involved in a STM32H7 project.I need to activate traces in SWV console of TrueSTUDIO. I've attached my .io CubeMX project, I think it is well configured.I've configured in the debugger tab of TrueStudio : SWD // SWV checkbox I've checked the port 0 of "ITM Stimulus ports" zone in the "Configure Trace" window and activated "Start Trace" button. Finally in the main loop of my program i've added : ITM_SendChar('T');Nothing appear in the SWC console, is anybody can help ?

I am trying to get I2C on the STM32F411 to work with an audio codec. For now I am just trying a simple loopback but I am already running into trouble. I am using the standard lib and my code always hangs after sending the 7bit address. I checked everything with a DSO and did step-by-step debugging. Surprisingly the problem is NOT that the code gets stuck in the while loop after the 7bitAddress. The address does get acknowledged by the receiver and the program successfully leaves that loop. But after that no other transmission function has any effect. I2C_SendData won’t send anything and I2C_GenerateStop won’t generate any stop condition even though both get executed in my debugger. All I see is SDA high and the SCL pulled low by the master. The I2C peripheral seems to be stuck in a busy state without being responsive and I don't understand why that is.Looking at my registers I saw that ADDR gets successfully cleared after sending the address. TXE is set and that’s the only bi

I am referring to FATFS library1.I tried to use \n and \t it didnt work. i wanted to make text appear in a new line. 2. in the memory card i wanted to store a vairable integer, How can i do that? As of now i could able to save only character. In FATFS is there any other way i can save data apart from .txt file?

I have got a program running that goes through the following stepsNfcv Poller InitialisationNfcv Poller Check PresenceNfcv Poller Collision ResolutionNfv Poller SelectNfv Poller Read Single BlockThis is reading iCode tags using the ISO15693 protocol, but the response i get back from the Read Single Block is 5 bytes long, with what appears to be an additional 0x00 at the beginning. I know this because the Read Single Block routine takes several arguments, one being the rxbuffer, its size and the rcvLen - it is this last parameter that is getting set to 5.To confirm my code was working correctly, I used the ST25R3911B Disco Demo board and the windows software to set values into block zero that were non zero values. For exampleValue Set on PC: 0/0: FF 0/1:00 0/2:00 0/3:00Value read on Raspberry Pi: 00FF000000Value set on PC: : 0/0: 00 0/1:01 0/2:02 0/3:03Value read on Raspberry Pi: 0000010203So I am confident that I have an extra value at the beginning of the returned dataset. Is this a c

I use STM32Cube Ver 4.26.1 to generate LWIP code with HTTPD, it keep print "Assertion "HTTP headers not included in file system" failed at line 2271 in ..\Middlewares\Third_Party\LwIP\src\apps\httpd\httpd.c " .I find it is in file "httpd_opts.h", " LWIP_HTTPD_DYNAMIC_HEADERS" is not defined. From Cube ==>Configuration ==>LWIP ==> HTTPD, nowhere can I define " LWIP_HTTPD_DYNAMIC_HEADERS".Any suggestions?

I want to implement a callback for USB connection / disconnection.I see that CubeMX generates HAL_PCD_ConnectCallback, as __weak in file stm32f7xx_hal_pcd.c, but the problem is that it's already defined in file usbd_conf.c. And there's no option for user code there. So how can I add my code to this callback? Thanks

Hi, colleges!I use Nucleo-144 STm32F767 development board to learn USB. Now - Application example - device USB MSC. The example uses SD card, with I haven't. I want to use internal instead of SD card. So, I changed the "usbd_storage.c" file. Plugged and not played =) Error - Cann't start this device (code 10). My STM32 is falling in HardFault_Handler. I've put break point in "Handle Enumeration done Interrupt" and seen the process has stopped. The enumeration process is done. Ok. What is going then? Which step is next? Where I need to put my break point? I don't really know how to debug USB transaction and communication process. Wireshark doesn't see my device at all. /* Private variables ---------------------------------------------------------*/ uint8_t usbMassStorage[0x1000]; ....   int8_t STORAGE_GetCapacity(uint8_t lun, uint32_t *block_num, uint16_t *block_size) { *block_num = sizeof(usbMassStorage)/512; *block_size = 512; return 0; }   int8_t STORAGE_IsReady(uint8_t

Hello,I am trying to configure USART1 on Nucleo-32 board using HAL. Code is suppose to first it receive the message and then it transmits the same message. My problem is RDR is showing reading garbage value. Can someone point out was is wrong?(Please ignore my indentation of code- this is just my test run)

LIS2DH12, Zero-g level offset is 40mg at FS bit set to '00'.When using the FS bit set to '11' and Normal resolution mode, what value is it?40mg * 12 = 480mg ?or40mg * 48 = 1920mg?

For example timer A: is it low-speed (APB1) 'APB1 timer clock' or high-speed APB2 'APB2 timer clock'?I read the timer and RCC sections but could not figure this out...Can you tell me where this is documented? Thanks!

Hello,I'm still learning how to handle timers in CubeMx. I've got some simple questions.I'm using TIM1 and TIM2 of the L432KC. In the clock tree, I see APB1/APB2 peripheral and timer clocks bus frequencies. I thought that when I set a prescaler, the APBx timer clock frequency is the one divided by the prescaler, but actually is the APBx peripheral clock frequency. What's the real difference?Second question: I've set timer 2 in PWM input to measure the period of an input signal. So, .....period = HAL_TIM_ReadCapturedValue(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_2); ....Does this say the period in milliseconds, right?Third question:I read in an app note:The TIMxCLK frequency is set to 72 MHz, the prescaler is 0x0 so the TIM2 counter clock frequency is 72 MHz. So the minimum frequency value to measure is 1100 Hz.How do I calculate that minimun frequency?Last question:When setting the PWM input mode or input capture mode to measure an external signal, how do I choose the prescaler and counter period effec

Hi ! I have a Nucelo-L476RG with a NFC03A1 and a IDW01M1 wifi module (I also have the IDW04A1) and I want to send the RFID tag scanned with the NFC03A1 via a wifi module but I cant find any example on the internet to help me.
