Hi, I am using the LSM6DSV16BX IMU on a project where I need the Game Rotation data.I used the Github examples as a base, and reading the Game Rotation values works well and I am able to save the quaternion data in a file. I wrote a little script that takes the Game Rotation quaternion values and applies the orientation to an object, to mimic what is possible in Unico GUI with STEVAL-MKI234, however I do not get the same performance with my custom board. For instance, I sometimes get some weird rotations around two axis even though I rotate the device around a single axis. See video:I was wondering if any special setup was required to achieve this kind of performance ? Is there any calibration that can be made ?I configure the Accelerometer and gyroscope to 960Hz, but batch samples of Accelerometer, Gyrometer and Game Rotation data at 120Hz in FIFO. I realize this is not much information to try and help me, I am more than happy to provide more detailed information if needed,

Hi, I am trying to reset HRTIM on an external event using TIM1 TRGO as a reset event. I am trying to make a single pulse every 200ms (5Hz) because I want to make a single puls test. However, I also need a high resolution so I can vary the on time and blanking time precisely, which is way I want to use the HRTIM. I have trouble getting the HRTIM to reset however, and I dont understand why. I am running the clock at 100Mhz and have set the TIM1 PSC to 9999 and ARR to 19999 to get the 5hz. I have also enabled the MSM(master/slave mode) and set the TRGO to RESET. In the HRTIM I have enabled EEV1 as source 3(TIM1_TRGO). Timer A is configured as a retriggerable single-shot mode where the reset trigger source is set so the timer counter reset is upon EEV1. The HRTIM clock is divided by 4 and the period is 50000. And I have compare unit 1 set as 49000 and compare unit 2 as 49500. The output polarity is set to active low and set and source selection is CMP1 and CMP2 respectively. Late

None of the beginner's tutorials work anymore because of the removal of STM32cubeMX from the IDE. Please send me a link to one that will work. I have seen some work arounds to solve this but for a beginner they are too complicated.

In RM0316 rev.10, in Table 109. COMP register map and reset values, bit 1 of COMP2_CSR is marked COMP2_INP_DAC, whereas the STM32F303 are not supposed to have this bit (only STM32F301/302x6/8 do) - probably a copy/paste artefact/relict.Can ST please check/remove.JW

Hi Team,Does STM32MP257F-DK supports OpenSTDroidIf supports where can i find the starter package for this Discovery board.

Today I started STM32CubeIDE again, was notified that an update is due, installed the update (2.0.0). Got an error alert "Computing 'size'", and the Info startup said "URL not found". Anyway, ignored this, started to build my project again. I added ADC1 (before I did the update), but didn't compile that with the old version of Cube. Now the first compile under the new version fails, saying :../Drivers/STM32H5xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/stm32h5xx_hal_adc.h:1981:67: note: expected 'const ADC_HandleTypeDef *' but argument is of type 'ADC_HandleTypeDef' 1981 | uint32_t HAL_ADC_GetValue(const ADC_HandleTypeDef *hadc); | ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~^~~~

Hello,I’m using an STM32WBA65 and trying to communicate with a peripheral (PTX30W) over I2C1.The peripheral requires the following I²C sequence: START → WRITE → REPEATED START → READ → STOP However, using HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit() followed by HAL_I2C_Master_Receive() does not work, because both HAL functions generate a STOP condition, and the PTX30W does not accept a STOP between the write and read phases. On STM32WBA, I don’t see a HAL equivalent of HAL_I2C_Master_TransmitReceive() that would allow a repeated START without a STOP in between. My questions are:Is there a way to achieve a WRITE + REPEATED START + READ sequence using the HAL on STM32WBA?Or is the correct approach to switch to the LL (Low Layer) I2C driver to get finer control over START/STOP conditions?Any guidance or best practices for this use case would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.here is the i2c protocol :

I'm working on a project with the STM32H503CBU7 which requires USB. I have a 32MHz external crystal on my board that appears to be stable. The chip works and can be programmed and such. I also troubleshot out other physical issues like cold joints and shorts because that has burned me before when the USB device fails to enumerate. My intent was to use the PLL2Q source with the USB peripheral so I could also specify a 200MHz sys clock for everything else via PLL1. When I use the PLL2Q source however,  I get no interrupts from the `USB_DRD_FS_IRQHandler` handler and so my USB stack does not operate. To make things more confusing, it also does not work even when both PLL's have the same values set for all parameters, as shown in the image below. It is important to note that this works with the PLL1Q source, as it is shown in the image, and I'm currently compromising a little on the sys clock speed. It will work for my purposes, but I'm more interested to know whether there's some "magic

Hello, I am trying to use the STM32CUBE RTOS STATE panel within VSCode as opposed to setting a watch variable for xQueueRegistry, but the state panel does not match what is shown in the queue registry. Only the first queue is shown. Also, I am curious how to get Semaphores to show up in the semaphores portion of the tree in the state panel. The semaphores I am using are binary semaphores which under the hood are just generic queues.

Hi,I am using the st25r3916b chip with phase awaken, wake-up timer range of 800 msec and delta 3.Once it wakes up, I go to read the value in the register 0x3A (Phase measurement display register) in order to check which is the difference between of the stored value and the one which awakes the chip. What I can see is that the value change is less than 3. How can this be?Best regards, Sandra

Hello,I am working with the STM32U585AI using OCTOSPI2 to interface with the IS66WVO32M8 32 Mbyte ISSI OctalRAM. Currently I am facing an issue of read operations failing for both register and memory access, both in and out of OPI DTR mode. Register reads return a value of 0x8080 or 0x8888. Memory reads (using both HAL_OSPI_Receive() and HAL_OSPI_Receive_DMA() return some sequence of 0x80s and 0x88s in the amount of data requested (32 byte read returns 32 bytes of 0x80, 0x88, or some combination).EDIT: Dummy cycles in code snippets corrected to both be 16 (based on config being applied to IS66WVO32M8 configuration register). Here is my OCTOSPI2 initialization:void MX_OCTOSPI2_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN OCTOSPI2_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END OCTOSPI2_Init 0 */ OSPIM_CfgTypeDef sOspiManagerCfg = {0}; HAL_OSPI_DLYB_CfgTypeDef HAL_OSPI_DLYB_Cfg_Struct = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN OCTOSPI2_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END OCTOSPI2_Init 1 */ hospi2.Instance = OCTOSPI2; hospi2.Init.FifoT

Hi everyone,I recently purchased these chips they look original as the seller only sells genuine parts, but when I check them with a DMM, the Tab and pin 15 should have continuity these dont, Pin 15 and 8 should have continuity these dont. Can anyone help identify if my method was correct as I was following the actual datasheet for these and they dont match.

I just need to confirm something. I read in the RM Document that STM32MP157 does not support ODT for LPDDR3 SDRAM but it does have a DDR Controller and PHY which supports LPDDR3. I just wanted to know if I can freeze LPDDR3 for my case? I suppose not giving ODT simply means that I need to provide termination on the PCB itself right? Can someone please throw some more light on this? It would be good to have some reference as well.

Hello,Can the IMP23ABSUTR sensor go through a vapor phase oven?"Thx.

We're looking to use the lsm6dsv320x in our product. I'm using this senser on the on the STEVAL-MKI247A adapter board for testing. We're currently in development using the adapter board with the Nordic nRF52840DK board. I'm having issues with getting the correct value from the WHO_AM_I with certain SPI pin configurations on the nRF52840DK. I can only get one SPI configuration to output the correct value of 0x73 which is SPI1. If I try change the pins or use one of the other SPI's available on the 52840, I consistently get a value of 0x64. Does that value mean anything to anyone? I've tried lowering the frequency to 500kHz, tried all four of SPI modes, I've tried performing a reset using the FUNC_CFG_ACCESS and CTRL3 registers before reading the WHO_AM_I register, but I still get the value of 0x64 except with the one configuration mentioned. I'm using the ST fsm_example for this test. We would like to change the SPI pins as the we want to use the smaller package of the nRF52840 which do

Hello all,I'm facing an issue with STM32 CubeMX / CubeIDE firmware using this display with X-CUBE-DISPLAY over FMC.Each time I'm trying to initialize the LCD this function  if((ILI9341_LCD_Driver.ReadID(LcdCompObj, &id) == ILI9341_OK) && (id == ILI9341_ID)) is always returns id = 0x0.I've tried to play with timings, using formula from FMC/FSMC, but no luck.This is my FMC initiliaztiation:/* FMC initialization function */ static void MX_FMC_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN FMC_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END FMC_Init 0 */ FMC_NORSRAM_TimingTypeDef Timing = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN FMC_Init 1 */ // hsram1.Instance = FMC_Bank1_1; /* USER CODE END FMC_Init 1 */ /** Perform the SRAM1 memory initialization sequence */ hsram1.Instance = FMC_NORSRAM_DEVICE; hsram1.Extended = FMC_NORSRAM_EXTENDED_DEVICE; /* hsram1.Init */ hsram1.Init.NSBank = FMC_NORSRAM_BANK1; hsram1.Init.DataAddressMux = FMC_DATA_ADDRESS_MUX_DISABLE; hsram1.Init.MemoryType = FMC_MEMORY_TYPE_SRAM;

Now that STBC15 is marked as NRND, is there any direct or close substitute that is planned?

Created an account, activated it, signed in, and I'm stuck in a loop of clicking "Get latest" > Accept the license agreement > "Download latest" > Accept the same license agreement > "Download latest" > Accept the same license agreement > and so on. The download never starts. This happens when trying to download CubeMX as well. CubeIDE for vscode worked fine. This seems to be a reoccurring issue over the years. I'm using up to date chrome and have no extensions installed except workplace mandated Microsoft Purview which I cannot disable or interact with.

We have been playing with the NUCLEO-C071RB for a few weeks, waiting for our first revision of a board using the STM32C071KBT to be fabricated and assembled. We got most things going without issue, including USB CDC + HID. Power up of the custom board went smoothly in that there was no smoke, however getting basic things going has been a struggle. Initial notes:1. The MCU is connected to a DFP of a Microchip HUB (USB5744).2. One of the goals was to ensure the HUB could startup / enumerate even when the MCU was blank, and hopefully end up in DFU mode, for initial programming (just enumerated under the HUB vs direct connect to HOST). As such, we did our best to ensure pins were connected such that they do not trigger one of the other boot loops (and for example, get stuck in UART, etc.), or cause odd behavior with the HUB especially. We reviewed AN2606 about a million times. Issues and observations:1. We can't seem to get the MCU USB to enumerate (at all). D

Hi there! Apologies if this is not the right place to be asking this question, but I'm deep in the weeds writing my own motor controller from scratch, and have a question about timing:My setup uses the STSpin233 with three-shunt low-side current sensing, and an stm32f4 microcontroller. I am using freeRTOS, and have a single task dedicated to motor control. (I have no other tasks yet, but intend to have some other tasks for UI management and audio processing later). At the moment, the way I've structured things is:I have a timer that triggers simultaneous ADC reads of my three shunt resistors at the center of my center-aligned PWM waveformI have an ISR that fires when the ADC conversion is complete. Within this ISR, I release a semaphore. This is the only work done in the ISR.in my main while() loop, I pause to check for this semaphore. When it's released, I run my actual control loop (read from an angle sensor via SPI, FOC/SVM stuff, update PWM duties).I am running my PWM at 20kHz (so,

This previous thread refershttps://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/stm32f4xx-does-going-up-a-package-pin-count-impact-pin-af/td-p/862282The 437 is curiously a very close superset of the 417. Apart from the extra 64k RAM, the only difference is which ADC channel is used to read Vbat. And of course the device ID is changed. This makes the 437 a very easy and useful upgrade from the 407/417.My Q is whether AF mapping is really identical, so that a 417 project can access the additional 437 peripherals (e.g. SPI4,5,6) by going to a larger pin count package.Comparing the data sheets, it does not appear that the 437 gives you any new peripheral access without going to a larger package i.e. it does not offer any new AF flexibility. For example you cannot access SPI4-6 on the QFP100.I am using the 437 for the extra 64k RAM. I check the device ID. This is 0x413 or 0x419 for the 417 or 437. If I detect the 437 I move the general stack 64k higher and fix up the Vbat measurement.
